Title: Journal 4 Author: SnowBlind Pastebin link: http://pastebin.com/6m6kR4f8 First Edit: Monday 20th of January 2014 10:18:15 PM CDT Last Edit: Monday 20th of January 2014 10:18:15 PM CDT 01-20-14   Woke up this morning, and the Inn was eerily empty. Woke up too early I guess. At some point, I decided to go out to the mine, to see If I could get acquainted with the job). I'm ashamed of myself, sort of. I chickened out. Something about the change of there be a cave-in and me going SPLAT didn't sit too well in my gut. Also there's that little bit with "oh wait, this isn't a surface mine, this is a CAVERN". This is between me and me: Don't like it underground, really. Dark, tight usually, doesn't sit well. No one will hear this, no one will read this. NO ONE.   Well, I'm doing better since yesterday night's crash. Shit, what was wrong with me? I was a mess! Today was much better, met some more people, watched some fights (may I say: Mary is fucking hardcore with that puppet she has). Didn't go for it today... maybe some other time, it should be fun. NEXT TIME it will be fun.   The night was also interesting. Some mare came in and asked for the Inn's fireplace debris. Ash and stuff. Most reasonable explanation given was for construction, brick making or something. Still kinda weird. I was caught for being supplied with bullshit by Resh today (my supplier is Booze, DON'T FORGET IT). Boris came in later and told some... actually pretty unsettling story from earlier on in the colony's time. It was... sad, really. On this adventure he had, his party encountered these "Shadows" that showed themselves as people we left behind. He saw his mother and... fell for the bait. Said he woke up in the clinic. The whole thing ended on a note sorta like the Dune saying about fear. How it's "the mind-killer" and that you must face it in order to conquer it and everything it hinders you from. Should think of this with the mine sometime... maybe tomorrow.   Mary's got a new scar from her fight. Took a sword to the face, but she's alright. It WAS dangerous, but she can handle anything, by my guess.   Let's not mention that evil fucking glare... Fox can get past it somehow... I shudder to think about it. Almost had a seizure, it was that freaky. Then again, her "creepy glare" thing is KINDA (OH SO VERY SLIGHTLY, THINNER THAN PAPER) endearing.   Well, let's see what happens when morning comes.   Might have a few regrets.
