Title: Tattie Soup (actual recipe, not story) Author: Smashed Pastebin link: http://pastebin.com/31hnVPhy First Edit: Friday 3rd of May 2013 07:53:33 AM CDT Last Edit: Last edit on: Thursday 25th of December 2014 01:51:36 AM CDT 2 mugs diced carrots, (medium sized mug) 1 mug diced neeps, 4 large tatties, cut into peerie chunks 1 medium sized onion, chopped 2 chicken stock cubes 1.5 pints water salted to taste (about 1/4 teaspoon)   Put 2 tablespoons of sunflower or vegetable oil in a saucepan (large pan) Add chopped onion, cook for ~5 mins, stirring often Add carrots, neeps and tatties Sprinkle on 2 tablespoons of water Put lid on pan and saute vegs for ~10 mins, stirring right up from the bottom a few times Add 1.5 pints of water the 2 stock cubes and salt, then replace lid Bring to boil, reduce heat, simmer gently for 1 hour or so Check and taste! Vegetables should be soft When cooked, cool slightly then give it a good mashing with a tattie masher   Try dunking buttered bread in it, so good.   It also freezes well.
