- >You are Berry Punch.
- >The town drunk.
- >Ha ha. It's so funny.
- >Berry Punch is a lousy lush who can't even hold down a job.
- >It's all you fucking hear.
- >Everypony thinks it's so easy.
- >They don't see your problem for what it is.
- >Instead they think of it as something you choose to do.
- >They all think you run away from your problems through alcohol.
- >Well maybe you do.
- >That's for the wannabe shrinks to decide.
- >It's always been this way.
- >You feel like your problems run to you, not the opposite.
- >Alcohol is a hobby, not a vice.
- >That's why you're drinking now.
- >Because there is no alcohol left at the party downstairs.
- >You finish the last of your flask and instantly regret it.
- >Looking around, you see a bottle of mouthwash on the counter of the bathroom you are in.
- >Without a second thought, you begin to drain it.
- >You finish the minty fluid and sit on the ground.
- "This party s-sucks..."
- >The alcohol drags you into sleep.
- >You wake up to someone shaking you and look up with blurry eyes.
- >Anon the Human is above you, looking nervous and sweaty.
- >You groan and look down, your vision tilting as though you are sailing on the sea.
- >Anon pumps in and out of you, his pale flesh sinking into your pink folds.
- "Anon? Wha- Please... Sto-"
- >You turn and throw up.
- >Tears block your vision.
- "P-please stop..."
- >Anon stops and hiccups.
- >"S'wrong Burry?"
- >You wipe your mouth and sputter.
- "What are you- where am I? Why are you doing this to me?"
- >He pulls out, looking scared, "y-you don't remember? You jumped me when I came in hurr!"
- >He's wasted.
- >And you feel like shit.
- >"Do you want me ta leave?"
- >You look over at the toilet.
- >You're obviously laying in your own puke now.
- >There's toilet paper in your mane.
- >This is not uncommon.
- >Looking down, you see he is swaying on his knees and still erect.
- "Go ahead and finish... If you want."
- >He grabs your sore flanks and awkwardly positions hiself.
- >"Y-you sure?"
- >Looking back at the toilet base next to your face, you nod.
- >He enters you again and starts up with stuttered deep thrusts.
- >Your head knocks against the bathtub over and over.
- "Hey, Anon."
- >Your eyes gaze blankly at the toilet.
- >"Y-yeah?"
- >His pumps slow.
- "Are you... Thinking about someone else right now?"
- >He stops moving and a silence fills the smelly bathroom.
- >You look up and see that he has passed out leaned against the cabinet, still inside of you.
- >Pulling him out, you groan and get up.
- >Stepping over him, you wash up in the sink.
- >Seeing a red cup on the counter, probably abandoned by Anon, you down the remaining liquor in it and look in the mirror.
- >Looking back at you is a souless mare with bags under her eyes and a poorly kept mane wet and hanging around her like a tattered rag.
- >You pull your cheek out.
- >Yellow teeth and a horrible case of halitosis that you can smell.
- >With a shrug, you leave the bathroom and turn off the light.
- >You pack your case.
- >Two times you pack and unpack the same bottle of wine.
- >Finally you decide to just take it.
- >Your cousin walks into the room, looking obviously disgusted by all of the empty bottles and discarded food.
- >It was a long time ago that you stopped caring.
- >She comes to you and slides a hoof over your back, "I'm so glad you're coming to stay with me, Berry. It will be good for you, you know, to get back on your hooves."
- >You close your case and look to make sure you have everything.
- >It all fits in one suitcase.
- "Yeah."
- >Cherry Berry picks up the case for you, "you just don't seem like you anymore. I'm worried about you cuz... You've been drinking a lot and ponies have been talking. You've also lost a lot of weight."
- >You pick up a bottle from the desk and take a drink of stale mystery drink.
- >"I can quit any time I want. I'll quit tomorrow. Promise."
- >You sit outside of your cousin's house.
- >She lives on the other side of Ponyville.
- >Her place is nice and she's letting you stay until you find a job.
- >"Berry!"
- >You look up from your wine glass and see Anonymous jogging over to you.
- >Great. He's probably going to apologize and want to talk forever.
- "What's up, Anon?"
- >He stops and looks at your wine, "hittin' the sauce already? Hahaha..."
- >You shrug.
- "It's lunch wine. Brunch wine. It's- It's wine. I'm quitting."
- >"Cool, cool. So hey, uh, about last night-"
- "It's okay, Anon. You don't have to apologize. We were both pretty wrecked. No harm, no foul."
- >There's a minute of silence between the two of you.
- >You fill it with wine.
- >"Cool. Can I sit?"
- >You shrug and he sits at the small table beside you.
- >"So is this your place? It's pretty nice."
- >You shake your head.
- "This is my cousin's place. I'm staying here until I can... Until I get back on my hooves."
- >He watches you.
- >With a sigh, you finish your drink and set the glass down.
- "So let's get to the chase. You're here to finish up right? Why don't we just go to my room now and not waste eachother's time eh?"
- >"What are you talking about?"
- >You raise an eyebrow.
- "You want an easy one, right? I know ponies talk about me. I know it's well known that I'll 'put out on a dime'. And I did nothing to prove THAT wrong last night. So let's just skip all the pedantics, okay?"
- >You get up to leave but Anon grabs your hoof.
- >"Wrong."
- >You look at him.
- >"I didn't come here for that. I just happened to walk by. And honestly, you shouldn't care what others say about you if the shit's not true."
- "So you think I'm not easy huh? You think I'm not a mess?"
- >You smirk at him.
- >He tosses your hoof back to you, surprising you.
- >"You are a mess, Berry. You're a wreck. I'm not going to sugarcoat it, you're a lush, depressed and from what I have seen, you don't have the will or the ability to take care of yourself."
- >You wish that glass was full again.
- >"You have poor hygeine, no style and no interests in anything besides senseless binge drinking. You have no respect for yourself and let anyone take advantage of you without a second thought."
- >He smirks back at you, "fair enough?"
- >A smile slowly spreads across your face.
- "You're wrong. I have style."
- "So, now that you're done summing my life up oh so accurately, what do you want?"
- >Anon scratches his head.
- >"How about this: I go home and do a quick shit, shower, shave routine while you do the same, or not, it doesn't matter to me."
- "Yeah"?"
- >"Then, I come back here and we go get something to eat."
- "A drink sounds good..."
- >"I'll take you to a sit-down place and I'll even pay for it and we'll stay sober the entire time."
- "But that's-"
- >"THEN, I'll walk you home and you can go to bed and get a full night's sleep."
- >You blink at him.
- "Do I have a choice in this?"
- >He holds up his hands in a shrug, "you can always say no with me, Berry. Don't think of it as a date. Think of it as a meal between two friends."
- "You just friend-zone me?"
- >"I'm implying I am in fact interested in you and I would like to take things slow to possibly start some kind of relationship. So take it for what it's worth. You can always say no, Berry."
- >You smile, not showing your unbrushed teeth that you are suddenly aware of and bat your eyes.
- "Such a sweet talker. You berate me and make me sound like a dope then ask me out."
- >He remains silent and smiles at you.
- "Yes, Anon.
- >Cherry Berry knocks on the door and enters your room.
- >"Hey cuz, whoa! You got a hot date tonight?"
- >You look in the mirror.
- >It almost looks like the you from five years ago is looking at you.
- >You smile and look out of the window at the sunset.
- "Yeah. I do."
- >Anon gets you both a seat outside.
- >A candle burns between the two of you while you pick at a basket of bread and butter.
- "This is a little cheesy."
- >He matches your smirk, "hey, beggars can't be choosers. You seem to not think that entire loaf of bread is too 'cheesy' for you."
- >You stop stuffing your face and blush, smiling nervously at him.
- "Bully."
- >He chuckles and takes some of the bread.
- >"You look very nice by the way. Much better."
- "I washed my mane. I was expecting you'd take me somewhere nice. Too bad, eh?"
- >"Oh, this is a much nicer place than where I usually take my one night stands."
- "You're an animal."
- >The waiter interrupts your flirty banter.
- >Both of you begin to eat in silence, glancing at eachother occasionally.
- >You would have never guessed that Anonymous was so... Genuine?
- >It was known that a lot of mares were interested in him.
- >You'd always just attributed it to the exotic factor and that he went through mares like you went through bottles.
- >"Hey, Berry?"
- >You swallow and answer with an expression.
- >"Who were you thinking about last night?"
- >You set your fork down and look at your plate.
- >For a moment you revisit that moment.
- >Looking back up, you smile weakly.
- "Honestly? No one really. I wasn't really thinking about anything."
- >You chuckle.
- "Is that a bad thing? No one comes to mind. Ha ha..."
- >As promised, Anon walks you home.
- >The meal was actually very nice and you feel a little guilty for allowing Anon to pay for it all.
- >"You can pay me back another way."
- "Oh? So you do want an easy lay? That's a cheap tactic."
- >"Nah. I actually need some weeds pulled in front of my house. I figured that should cover the damage."
- "So romantic, you are."
- >"I try. Stick around. I might just woo you."
- >You smile the whole way home.
- >He's doing a damn good job of 'wooing' you.
- >No one has made you come out of your shell in over five years.
- >This is also the longest you've been without booze.
- >The two of you get back to Cherry Berry's house.
- >"Well, I'll be back tomorrow to check up on you. I'm not letting you give up on quitting your drinking."
- "What If I just go in and drink now?"
- >"I can't force you. I can only believe you don't really want to stay the same."
- >You try to give a witty comeback but look down at the ground and blush instead.
- >"So, thanks for coming out. Do this again soon?"
- >Quickly, you jump forward and lock lips with him.
- >Before you can gain access with your tongue, he pulls away.
- >"I was just joking about you owing me anything!"
- >You bat his chest.
- "Oh shut up..."
- >The two of you smile at eachother under the lantern light for a moment.
- "Anon, I... I'd like it if you came upstairs..."
- >He bends down and grabs your chin, lifting it.
- >"Berry, let's take things slow. Trust me. It will be better. Let me have a few more dates with you first."
- >He leans forward and gives you another kiss.
- >It's soft and sensual, the most passionate you have ever experienced.
- >Then he pulls away, leaving you standing there with fish lips.
- >"Goodnight, Berry."
- >He waves and walks away down the road.
- >You watch him leave, rubbing your mane with a hoof.
- >There are no thoughts of alcohol on your mind.
- >Only the promise of the next date.
- "I want to think about you..."
