- Day #1 (Thread 17)
- 11:42
- Well here we go, brave new world.
- I should probably introduce myself, to whoever will read this.. My name is Blazing Sky.
- I'm a stallion, and a pegasus.
- -There appears to be marks on the paper, as if Blaze had tapped his pencil against the paper, in an attempt to find something to talk about-
- I was instructed to write a journal as I enter the colony, but I am writing this as I walk there.
- Might as well hit the ground running?
- Speaking of that, I had really taken my time coming here, apparently this colony has been around for more than half a year now, crazy that only now ponies are hearing about it, right? It must've been tough starting out there.
- Doubt merchants come up here either, I'm way up north, y'see. Probably near the Gryphon Kingdoms.
- 15:16
- Home sweet home. I've arrived in the frontier town, the sign by the gatehouse said Four Cannon. I dunno what that's supposed to mean, it's probably a reference to something or symbolic.
- It's crazy to think that all of this has been set up within a few months, so many houses and I think I overheard some ponies talking about a captured cockatrice. Speaking of that, entering the town was surprisingly easy. Almost like they expected me to be here.
- I think I might go for a little stroll around the town, and acquaint myself with some other peo- dammit, that's right. We're ponies now.
- 22:50
- -The next section is written in very sloppy hand writing-
- I just got back from the Inn, and holy shit.
- I think I'm drunk, is this what being drunk feels like?
- I met some ponies, Green Sleeves, Rain Drop and Strike, I never caught the others' names.
- I'm gonna sleep before I throw up again.
- Day #2 (Thread 19
- 09:47
- Goodness, what a night.. My head's pounding.. I should probably swing by the clinic and see if there's any headache medicine. First order of business, I should get to introducing myself to all the ponies around town, and find some kind of occupation. I was thinking about a Handyman, or just a pony that runs around and helps out wherever.
- Second order; find more food. The rations that I had with me are quickly running out.
- 12:12
- I bought some food from the bazaar, luckily enough, it didn't cost all of my bits. I've still got /some/ to spare. Hopefully I can get into some line of work relatively soon.
- Day.. #5? (Thread #24)
- 08:11
- I've nearly forgotten about my Journal, and that I was supposed to log what happened each day, everyday.
- Oh well, a little slacking is okay, right?
- Yesterday, I had went on an adventure to these caves up by the hunting grounds. To say the least, it was a success, we found 14 ounces of ore, I never heard which kind, and a few daggers, but my real personal success was that of finding a new pet! Once we entered the forest we found a corpse that has yet to be identified.
- Out of nowhere, four 3 foot long worms jumped out of it, and attacked us! I quickly took care of the first, and my companions did the same with the other two. The last worm though, I don't know why, but I couldn't kill him.. or her, I don't really know how to check genders on worms..
- Something about it, said that it didn't want to attack us, it just wanted to feed.
- I had gotten on my knees, and asked if it would accept my offer of peace, and it somehow worked!
- This guy/gal is awesome, He accompanied me to the bar, and it was great.
- Though I think a few ponies are making jokes about Wormy (that's his/her name) being in some kind of relationship? I can promise anyone who reads us, that our "relationship" is that of a man and his dog.
- Alright, I think it's about time I should get up.
- I'll log the rest of my day later on.
- 00:09
- Whew, what a day.
- I finally have a job proposition! One of the local ponies, called Feather Dusted requested a metal door while we were all drinking at the bar, great right? Well, not really.. I don't have the slightest idea where I am going to get metal, or even craft the metal parts.
- The town had a local blacksmith, so talking with him is probably a good idea. I think his name was Strong Metal?
- Other than that, today's been relatively boring as per usual, I cut a tree down for some wooden furnishings for the door, and had an.. interesting wine, in remembrance of a local pony, who was the first to die here, his name was Schett.
- I'm gonna call it a night.
- Day #6 (Thread 25)
- 13:42
- I woke up to an odd smell of smoke. I'm not sure what it was, but I had no desire to find out either. Since I had some fairly important business to take care of.
- I also got the door finished. Strong Metal was nice enough to help out with crafting the door itself, while I focus on all the internal stuff, like the locks, doorknob, and furnishings.
- From my memory of my human time, the door is about the size of normal ones, 3' x 6' 8". It has oak panels on the front and back, which does it's best to hide the metal, so it seems like a normal door. Mind you, if a pony actually stared at it for about 40 seconds, they'd notice that it is metal. Oh well, I'm very happy with my work.
