>Well shit

>They were here already?

>This can only end badly

>You sigh and dismiss the maid

>Today is gunna be fun…

>For once you are up before Aegis

>You bring a hand down to shake her awake but stop mid motion

>There are better ways to wake up

>With a grin, you lean down so that your face hangs over hers

“Time to wake up babe…” you whisper before planting your lips onto hers

>She lets out a weary groan, muffled by your mouth before opening bleary cerulean eyes

>Looking at you she simply closes them again and presses herself back to you

>You break the kiss and look down at the now awake and smiling Aegis

>”Well” She starts “That’s the best wake up that I’ve had for a while”

“Glad you woke up in a good mood because what I’ve got to say might ruin it”

>Her smile falls some “What is it?”

“Your parents are here”

>For a moment Aegis is frozen, then she buries her head into her pillow and groans

>”They said they were coming in a few weeks…Are you sure it’s them?” She asks muffled by the pillow

“Do you know any other Mr. and Mrs. Sparkle?”

>Aegis groans once more before raising her head

>”I guess we should get ready then?” she weakly asks

>You take a sniff, both you and Aegis smell like a combination of booze and sweat…that wouldn’t be a good first impression  

“Might want to”

>Both of you pull yourselves from the bed and trudge toward the bathroom for a shower

>In the bathroom you strip out of your clothes as Aegis turns on the shower and adjusts the temperature

>Nether of you bother to take a separate one as you both walk into the hot water

>While scrubbing a spot on Aegis’s back that she has trouble getting to herself you see just how nervous she really is

>A normal person would have never seen it but see seems almost terrified if the slight tremors and twitching facial expression was anything to go by  

>Poor mare…

>You do your best to rub at the tense spots and hopefully work a bit of stress from her

>Aegis’s trembling stops and her tense stance loosens up some

“Better?” you ask her

>She takes a deep breath and nods

>The rest of the shower goes normally

>Stepping out and grabbing a towel you dry yourself off

>SMACK!

>With an unmanly yelp you jump and bring your hands to your smarting backside

>Whirling around you see Aegis smirking and holding a towel with TK

>Yep, shes fine

>It’s on

“Ohhhhh, oh hoho… Is that how its going to be? Ok then”

>You snatch up your own towel and wrap it into a rat-tail and before Aegis can move you snap her right on her left cutie mark

>She stifles her own yelp before wrapping her towel back up

>Oh fuck naw

>You jump out of the way and run over to the side of the room, wrapping your own fiber whip back up

>SNAP!

>”Missed!”

>SNAP!

“Look who’s talking”

>SMACK!

>”YOW!”

>SNAP!

“Swing and a miss!”

>SMACK!

“Fuck!”

>”What were you saying sweetheart?~”

>Towels crack back and forth as you try to whip your mare without being hit yourself

>After taking a nasty one to the side of your leg you decide to turn the tables

>Dodging a few more snaps, you grab her’s when she over extends a whip

>The TK field around it fades and you twirl it up

>Aegis only looks blankly at where her towel was for a second before realizing what happened

>”Anon…” she starts to back up

>You smile wickedly and crack both of the cloth pain-bringers

>She bolts out of the bathroom

>You give a war cry and charge after her

>”No no no! *giggle* Anon don’t!”

>You give no reply and keep chasing, snapping it her only to miss by inches

“Come’er babe! You know it hurts so good!”

>”Anon! Haha! S-stop!”

>Without any warning the bedroom door opens

>You both stand frozen as a pair of unicorns walk in, only to stop mid step

>If the colors and cutie marks were right…

>Then these are Aegis’s parents

>And they just walked in on their wet daughter being chased by a nude ape

>You cut your eyes to the unicorns

>Aegis’s mother looks about as embarrassed as is mortally possible at walking in on this

>Her father however…

>Even with how blank his expression looks you know…

>You know behind those eyes of his is enough rage to eradicate the whole world

>A super villain had been born

>”Err, we-we’ll come back in a few minutes…” stammers Mrs. Sparkle, who drags her husband away with a flash of magic

>You and Aegis look at one another

>One word leaves both of you

“Fuck”

>”Fuck”

>Dry and clothed, you and Aegis make your way to the door

>”Hey Anon,” Aegis stops you “Maybe I should try to salvage the situation before they see you again, sound good?”

>Although inwardly hurt a bit you see the logic in the action and agree

>Aegis rears up and pecks you on the lips before trotting out

>Now we play the waiting game…

>You lean up against the wall and try to keep from thinking about the situation too much

>Holy shit, this could be bad…

>Almost 15 minutes pass in silence

>Wait, what is that?

>You put your ear to the door and hear raised voices

>The first you don’t recognize

>The other however you know too well

>Aegis

>Hell no

>You open the door and head out

>Down the hall are Aegis and her father in the middle of a shouting match, everything they scream echoing loudly in the large hallway

>You walk over, not bothering to soften your steps on the stone floor, making you very audible

>Both stop and look at you as you approach

>Mr. Sparkle glares at you with venom

>You return the look

>Tense silence overtakes the group

>Aegis and Mrs. Sparkle look back and forth between you and Mr. Sparkle

>You both glance over at your respective lovers and see how distraught they are

>Fine

>You stiffly stick out a hand

“Anonymous”

>He responds just as hostilely, putting a hoof to your hand

>”Crescent Sparkle”

>The shake is short and afterward you swear he looks at his hoof in disgust

>Asshole

>”Well,” Mrs. Sparkle clasps her hooves together nervously “You’ve meet Crescent, My name is Velvet Sparkle, It’s nice to meet you Anonymous”

>You turn to her and wipe the scowl off your face in favor of a smile

“It’s a pleasure to meet you as well, Mrs. Sparkle, I can see where Aegis gets it from”

>Her nervousness dissipates and a real smile finds its way to her face

>From the corner of your eye you see Crescent’s frown grow some

>Heh

~~~~Restaurant in Cantorlot~~~~

>After some deliberation , mostly Aegis and Velvet, it was decided that everyone would go out to a nice place for some breakfast

>Seated outside and waiting for your orders to come, Velvet strikes up some conversation

>”So Aegis, how did you and Anon meet?”

>Aegis smiles at the memory

>”Well, I first saw him as he was giving his theory on how he got to Equestria to Princess Celestia. Afterward The Princess gave me the task to watch over him while it was decided what was to be done with him…”

~Flashback~    

>You are Shining Aegis

>And the princess had given you the task to watch over the alien

>He’s an interesting character, little regard for authority and more than a lot of willpower being the most apparent of his traits

>Seated outside of the council chamber with him at your side you ponder further

>You still felt this was a waste of your ability…

>”So, captain of the guard eh? Must be a pretty swank position”

>His voice cuts you out of your thoughts

“I guess you could say that”       

>”Guess?”

“Well, there is a lot of work with being the Guard Captain, honestly it gets sort of stressful…”

>Here you are, Shining Aegis, youngest Captain ever pouring out your problems on a space monkey…

>Real nice…

>”Why not just stop being stressed?”

>What?

“What?”

>”I said why not just stop being stressed?”

>Well how was tha-…

>Wait, could it just be that easy?

>You stop thinking about every little thing and…and

>The stress goes away?

>You look up astonished into his smiling face

>You smile back; this looked to be the start of a good friendship

>As Aegis finishes the story Velvet looks delighted

>”Aegis I’m so happy you met somep0ny so nice right off the bat.”

>”Now if only “somep0ny” really applied here” Crescent grumbles under his breath

>Velvet gives him a glare that he ignores

>”So how did you two…become romantically involved?” asks Velvet

>You answered this time

“Well, after a few months our relationship had built up to the point where I felt like I was going to burst if I didn’t ask”

>Heh, ‘burst’ indeed       

“So I did, and that’s how we landed where we are now”

>You wrap an arm around Aegis as you finish, who looks at you with a loving smile

>Velvet’s own smile is almost blinding

>Crescent however seems to be gritting his teeth in an effort to hold his tongue

>Before more can be said a pegasus waitress comes by with the food balanced on a tray on his back

>Placing the food down she gives a bow and heads off

>Conversation through the meal is light and topic less

>Crescent however had yet to touch his food and opted to glare balefully at you, obviously wanting you dead more than anything

>You glare back, and will your magic nullification right on the tip of his horn

>He winces and finally turns away at the painful sensation

>You smirk and return to eating

>After breakfast has concluded you and the three p0nies had back to the palace

>Aegis is needed for her usual duties and you needed to go and train the AD

>”So mom  dad, care to see what Anon and I do in a usual day?” Aegis asks about halfway back  

>Crescent opens his mouth but is beaten by Velvet

>”We would love to dear”

>Her husband just sighs

>You can’t help but feel like this is going to turn out bad but find your voice caught in your throat when Aegis’s face lights up

>Here we go…

>Finally making it to the palace, all of you forgo going in but walk around to the training grounds

>Aegis as usual heads inside of the armory and walks back out in hardly 5 seconds in full armor

>You simply take your shirt off and head over the group of silver clad p0nies, with Aegis and her parents in tow

>Reaching group of conversing guards you straighten yourself and roar “TEN-HUT!”

>In a flash all of them form up with freakish speed before saluting and yelling “SIR!”

>You give them all a nod

“Alright ladies, today your captain Aegis and her parents will be observing your training, give it your all or get the fuck out. YOU HEAR ME?!”

>”SIR YES SIR!”

“HOP TO IT!”

>”YES SIR!”

>With the same unnatural speed they rush into training, some pairing off for spars while others head to training dummies, the track, or the weights in the corner of the ground

>You wave up Fade Away, who practically vanished from his spot and reappeared in front of you in a burst of speed, even in his armor, startling Crescent and Velvet

>Oh yeah, this kid is getting good

“Fade, you mind explaining everything to Mr. and Mrs. Sparkle? I haven’t had a spar in a while”

>He nods “Of course sir”

>You give him a smile and walk out to the sparing field

>You are Crescent Sparkle

>And right now, you are so mad you can hardly see straight

>Your daughter…Your firstborn baby filly, is dating a mutant…

>You know it, he is no good

>Despite all the self-control you muster up you find it getting hard to hold back your hatred of the bastard

>Why? Why did it have to be the monkey from the other side of the universe?

>Even one of those filthy griffins would have been better than him

>You think of just ditching the scene and hitting up a bar

>The white unicorn in the silver armor next to you speaks up

>”Mr. and Mrs. Sparkle, it’s a pleasure to meet you, I am Fade Away, one of the stronger members of the Anonymous Detachment if Commander Anon is accurate in his measurement of me”

>This young stallion is nice, why couldn’t Aegis be interested in him?

>Well, he seems nice at least, better be courteous even if he is under the monkey

“Nice to meet you Fade, call me Crescent”

>”Velvet works fine for me Fade” your wife speaks up

>The guard nods “Well then, I guess I had better explain what’s going on here”

>Curious, you listen carefully

>He clears his throat before beginning “The guards you see here are part of a special detachment simply called the “Anon Detachment” due to commander Anon heading us. It first we were normal guards, but shortly after the arrival of Anon, a guard grew jealous of how quickly Anon became friends with captain Aegis…”

>He looks at Aegis, who nods in confirmation

>”And challenged him, only to be defeated with no effort on the commander’s part, since then, Captain Aegis gave Anon some guards to train with brutal human training, along with armor that doubles as training gear, So the AD has become one of the most fearsome forces Cantorlot has to offer”

>Un-bucking-believable…

>He had power too?

>If one more thing…

>Just as you thought that the monkey bastard walks back up, sporting a few bruises

>”Those guys are getting good” he breaths, trying to catch his breath

“Not good enough if you aren’t in the hospital” you snark before you can stop yourself

>”Crescent!”

>”Dad!”

>Anon looks like he wants to glare but just sighs

>”Look Mr. Sparkle, I get that you don’t like me, but can you please just keep it to yourself?”

“And why should I?” you almost shout, ignoring the mortified looks of your wife and daughter

>He just shakes his head and gestures with a hand behind you

>You look and what you see makes your blood boil

>Many of the guards had stopped what they were doing to stare hatefully at you

>Did they really care about the fucking monkey!?!

>P0nies taking the side of a non-p0ny?!

>What the fuck!?

>It takes all your willpower to not scream as you stomp out of the training ground to Cantorlot

>You need a drink…now

>Once more you are Anonymous

>After Crescent’s freakout he left and had been gone for several hours

>You, Velvet and Aegis are sitting outside in the courtyard

>Poor Velvet is worried sick and so embarrassed by her husbands behavior

>Aegis is keeping her composure but you see that see isn’t taking this as well as she appeared

>”Anon I’m so sorry, its just he…”

>You hold out a hand and stop Velvet’s fiftieth apology

“Velvet its fine, I get that there are p0nies like that here, even if things have hit rock bottom that means we can only go up now right?”

>She sighs but nods

>You look up and notice that the sun is going down

>Better find Crescent…

>He maybe an ass, but he is Aegis’s father too

>You stand

“I’ll be back in a bit, I’m going to go find Crescent before it gets real late”

>Aegis looks astonished

>”Anon, even after what he said?”

>You wave it off

“You two head on inside, I can find him alone”

>Velvet looks like she wants to protest but Aegis stops her

>”Alright sweetheart, I trust you”

>What?

>You expected aleast a little resistance

>But Aegis just letting you go?

>This mare man…

>You lean down and meet her lips with yours in a kiss

>You break it and look into her eyes

>Nothing but trust, love, and adoration

>A warm feeling erupts in your chest

>You lean down a bit further and whisper into her ear

“I’ll be back soon, I love you Aegis.”

>”Love you too Anon, stay safe”

>You kiss her one more time and head off

>After a few minutes of walking and some directions, you find the bar that Crescent is hanging out at

>Walking in you notice a few things right away

>One, Crescent is piss drunk and looks ready to fall of his barstool

>Two, he’s talking shit to the nervous looking bartender about griffons

>And three, there is a tableful of murderous looking griffons behind him

>One griffon of medium build finally stands and marches over to Crescent

>Grapping him by the mane the griffon forcefully pulls the blue unicorn around

>”Look pal, if you’re going to fling shit, at least have the nerve to say it to our faces!” the griffon snarls, almost nose to nose with the male Sparkle

>”Go fuck yourself birdbrain, I’ve had a shit day” Crescent slurs

>The griffon roars in rage and balls his talon up

>Not today

>You rush the soon-to-be fight

>Right as the griffon lashes out, you grab his wrist

>Almost immediately his strength drains at your touch, leaving his arm trembling

>”Who the fu-“

>The words die in his mouth as he looks at you

>The other griffons seem shocked as well

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you”

>You grip harder and feel his hollow bird bones creek under the pressure

>He grimaces

>With an unspoken signal the whole griffon table explodes into action, sending their drinks and table flying

>The other patrons scream and run, with a few staying behind to egg on the fight

>Crescent must not be as drunk as he looks as he jumps up to face the griffons as well

>Here we go

>One griffon rushes you with a chair raised, ready to cave in your skull

>You dodge the sloppy swing and deck him in the face as hard as you can

>With a sickening CRACK! His jaw breaks and he is sent sprawling to the ground down and out

>One small one breaks his beer bottle and charges with a screech, brandishing the glass shank

>You duck and hear the glass whistle overhead as the griffon swings

>You drive your elbow into his stomach hear him cry out in pain

>Giving him no time to recover you grab his head and slam it into the bar

>He’s out

>You hear a screech behind you and turn to see another holding a knife

>Shit! He’s too close!

>Wood suddenly shatters over his head, sending the assailant into dreamland

>You looks to see Crescent holding the remains of a bar stool with TK

>He shoots you a look “We’re even monkey”

>You feel a lopsided grin come to your face

“Whatever you say”

>You both turn to see the last few griffons hightailing it out of the bar, running like hell was on their heels

>You turn to look at the male Sparkle

>”…Fine, I guess you aren’t ALL bad”

>You grin      

>”For a bald ape”

>Well that lasted all of 5 seconds

>He steps around the knocked out griffons and picks up his beer

>Downing it on one go he looks back to

>”Comon, I assume you came to get me, let not keep Velvet and my daughter waiting”

>You both step out of the wreaked bar and start the walk back to the castle

>”Hey monkey man”

“Yeah?”

>”You hurt my daughter and it will mean the end of you…”

“Of course”

>Cue grin

“Dad”

>For the longest time the p0nies of Cantorlot would wonder what made the scream of rage they heard that night
