  1. >Celestia is worried
  2. >A rare thing nowadays
  3. >After all that has happened in her long life, Equestria’s turbulent beginnings, Luna’s banishment and return, Discord’s release, the Changeling invasion, and other things she doesn’t care to name, she thought the feeling would never torment her again
  4. >Once more, here it is
  5. >It had been a peaceful evening; Celestia was enjoying a book and a glass of wine by her fireplace when a shockwave rocked the castle, scaring everyp0ny senseless
  6. >After spying the large cloud rising above Everfree Celestia took off without a thought
  7. >She barely even noticed the squads of guards following her
  8. >The blast was huge, so big in fact that her first thoughts flew to Discord, only for him to still be encased in stone when she looked back to the courtyard midflight to P0nyville
  9. >After a brief stop to check up on her student and her student’s friends Celestia and her guards had sped off towards ground-zero
  10. >Landing much lighter than her frame would suggest she could, Celestia surveyed the surroundings with the knot of worry in her stomach getting tighter and tighter
  11. >The smell of fire, charred flesh, and ozone is overpowering, so much that a few rookie guards behind her are gagging at it
  12. >The ground was turned to shattered glass, the dirt being fused together violently broken by the heat and blast of whatever did this
  13. >Bits and pieces of bone and burnt meat litter the area, decorating the area in a macabre fashion
  14. >Where the Ursa cave stood is just a large slab of glowing rock, the blackened skeleton of what was an Ursa Minor poking partially out of the half cooled lava
  15. >Celestia can only speculate that the Major took the blast while the poor Minor was cooked alive in the aftermath
  16. >A very mortal shiver raced up the sun goddess’s spine
  17. >Ursa’s aren’t aggressive by nature
  18. >So whatever did this is not only powerful, but twisted…
  19. >Celestia shakes her head to rid it of those thoughts, and decided investigating the site would be a good idea
  20. >She turns to the guards and clears her throat, getting their attention
  21. >”My little p0nies, a powerful being was here recently and is more than likely the cause of this, please investigate the site for anything that seems interesting or out of place, no matter what it may be” Celestia says, her usual motherly tone calming some of the more distraught guards
  22. >Each one gives a smart solute before breaking off from their squads to comb the area
  23. >It’s not long before…
  24. >”Princess! We’ve found something!”
  25. >The sun deity walks over to the pair of guards looking at the ground, her gait quick but graceful over the jagged earth
  26. >Coming to a stop next to the guards she asks “Yes my little p0nies? What have you found?”
  27. >They both point to some odd looking tracks in the glassed ground
  28. >The tracks are long and oblong in shape and seem to suggest that the owner is a biped if the unusual spacing is anything to judge by
  29. >’How curious’ Celestia mused ‘What creature could make tracks like th-‘
  30. >Wait, these do seem familiar in some way…
  31. >They seem similar to..!
  32. >The alicorns eyes widen in a sudden surge of surprise, the worry she was feeling transforming into gut wrenching terror
  33. >’No, this can’t be…please don’t be what I think it is’
  34. >Schooling her features before anyone could notice how distraught she is; Celestia turns and gives the order to head back to Cantorlot
  35. >She could only begin to think what is flying through the head for the monster that did this…
  36. ~~~~~
  37. ‘Damn, this road goes on forever’
  38. >After leaving the ruined cave and finding a road out of the forest you had started walking your happy ass
  39. >You had been going for an hour now and there is nothing sans the forested sides of the road
  40. >Literally nothing
  41. >Hopefully you would come across a town, you aren’t sure if you can still become hungry or not but better safe than sorry
  42. >Maybe find a navigator… if where ever you are didn’t have electronic ones then someone who would know where everything is
  43. >If they say no…threaten to kill them
  44. >Sound logic
  45. >Walking a few more hours until the sun peeks over the horizon you realize you are still going nowhere fast
  46. >You grit your teeth and let out a frustrated shout, lashing out with your scythe into an unfortunate tree
  47. >Sighing, you rub your eyes with a forefinger and your thumb, mentally berating yourself over the loss of composure
  48. >As a titan among ants you are above that
  49. >But where the hell are you going to find a local to point you in the right direction?
  50. >As if answering your thoughts a scream pierces the air off to the right
  51. >Screams usually mean trouble…and you are kind of tired
  52. >But still, help whoever screamed and you can guilt trip them for help later without much effort
  53. >Looks like someone just got saved
  54. >You turn to the direction of the scream and set off at a brisk pace
  55. >And by brisk you mean blindingly fast
  56. >Oh yes this body is nice
  57. >Blurring past trees and foliage with a speed no moral being has any right to posses you quickly find where the sound originated
  58. >Stopping just short of where a clearing opened up in the wooded land you see what looks to be a gypsy wagon
  59. >The door is broken in and the sounds of a scuffle rage inside
  60. >You crack your neck, time to work
  61. >The scuffling sounds have quieted and the faint sounds of sobbing
  62. >Walking up to the wagon you peer inside to see a rather odd sight
  63. >3 p0nies are inside, 2 larger ones holding down a blue, smaller one
  64. >Whatever, just roll with it
  65. >They all seem like they would hardly reach your waste in height and seemed to possess human like faces
  66. >The sobbing seems to be coming from the blue one
  67. >The other two smile maliciously, one holding the blue one down while the other trots around to blue’s behind
  68. >He forces her back legs up with a painful looking jerk to her tail
  69. >Was she going to get raped?
  70. >”Comon bitch, spread em!”
  71. >That’s really what it looks like
  72. >Huh, how convenient
  73. >Save her, and she will be inclined to help you
  74. >Best wait to the last second for a greater impact…
  75. >Or maybe you should wait for them to do the deed, and then kill them
  76. >Ohh, decisions decisions…
  77. >”You, you r-ruffians can’t do this! Not to Trixie!” The blue mare finally forces out
  78. >The p0ny behind her snorts in amusement
  79. >”Right, we’ll see about that” he says before lifting himself up and planting his fore hooves on her rump, revealing his erection
  80. >The blue p0ny, Trixie was it? Is crying even harder now and looks ready to fly into full blown hysterics
  81. >Might as well save her now, she would be useless if her mind was broken by the rape trauma
  82. >You step up to the broken in door of the wagon, not bothering to hide the sound of your footsteps
  83. >All three occupants look at you, all of them showing confusion
  84. “You know,” you begin “Where I come from there s a pretty heavy price for rape” You say in a casual voice
  85. >The one behind the mare looks at you with a raised eyebrow and snorts “Who cares monkey, either join in or get lost”
  86. >Hmm, tempting, but you need a guide more than a quick lay
  87. >Plus getting sloppy seconds is kind of nasty
  88. “You didn’t let me finish… often the price is…”
  89. >You whip your scythe around at the p0ny so fast that it and your arm just seems just warp to a post swung position, a faint whistle of blade on air being the only indictor that you had moved
  90. >He flinches and looks surprised, but unharmed
  91. >The expression on him muzzle transforms from surprise to a sneer “I think you missed monkey.”
  92. >A small smile finds its way to your face
  93. “Did I?”
  94. >He opens his mouth to retort but stops cold as a thin line of red appeared on his neck
  95. >The would be rapist looks down at it with confusion before his eyes roll back into his head as he falls over to the side, his head separating from his neck in a beautiful fount of blood as he hits the floor
  96. >Both the mare and the other rapist can only look dumbstruck at the stallions’ sudden end
  97. >Before they regain their senses you twirl your scythe around in one hand and club the other with the blunt end, making a loud THWACK sound on contact
  98. >He falls to the floor with the same dumb look frozen on his muzzle, blood leaking from his half crushed skull and mouth
  99. >You grimace, ok, the easy part was done, now the hard part
  100. >You gently pick up the still shell shocked mare in your unoccupied arm and take her outside away from the carnage
  101. >You set her down in the grass right outside and seat yourself down next to her
  102. >Laying your scythe down you put a hand on her back and rub circles into it, to hopefully lessen the inevitable water works
  103. >The blue mare flinches but loosens up soon after
  104. >Before long the full implications of what almost happened sink in with her as the shock abates
  105. >She clinches her eyes and mouth shut in a vain effort to stop her break down, her whole body quivering
  106. >That won’t do
  107. >Even with how cold you are you still can’t stand to see a female in pain, sans when they wrong you of course
  108. >You hook your hands under her forelegs and pull her up into a hug
  109. >She freezes
  110. “Just let it out…”
  111. >Slowly but surely the blue p0ny does, tears leak out under her eyelids as her lip quivers
  112. >Then she throws her forelegs around your neck as she pushes her head in your chest and lets loose, the pain and relief of avoiding a horrific fate leaving her in heart wrenching sobs
  113. >You’re not really sure what to do so you just wrap her in your arms and slowly rock her as she cries
  114. >Its about 20 minutes later when she seems to run out of energy, reduced to hiccups and sniffles
  115. >Thank god, these emotional moments make you feel as awkward as it gets
  116. >She sniffles one more time then pulls out of your arms
  117. >She looks up at you with puffy red eyes
  118. >”T-thank you…whoever you are…”
  119. “Anonymous”
  120. >”Anonymous, Trixie thanks you, if you hadn’t…”
  121. >She almost tears up again but stops herself
  122. “Perhaps we should move to a more pleasant topic? We can talk about this later.”
  123. >”Yes, yes that seems a good idea…”
  124. “What are you doing all they way out here by yourself?”
  125. >Well, Trixie is a traveling performer of the highest magnitude, parking her caravan out on the road is asking for trouble.”
  126. >Performer?
  127. “You’re a performer?”
  128. >She smiles widely “Indeed! Trixie is a magician showmare of the highest caliber! Perhaps you have heard of me?”
  129. “Nope”
  130. >She deflates some
  131. “But there is a good reason, see Trixie I’m not from around here as my appearance may suggest”
  132. >She eyes you top to bottom “Well, Trixie surely has never seen a…”
  133. “Human, and I was hoping to ask a favor of you”
  134. >”Ask away! Trixie is not so uncouth as to leave a debt unpaid”
  135. “Seeing as I’m new around here and you seem well traveled, so I was hoping to tag along with you for a while to get a feel for the land”
  136. >Bitch you had better say yes for your own good
  137. >Her eyes light up at the prospect of traveling with you “But of course!”
  138. >Sweet, no more wandering aimlessly
  139. >You plaster a smile on your face “Thanks”
  140. >Now to…
  141. >Oh wait,
  142. >Those p0nies are still dead inside the caravan
  143. >May as well clean that up
  144. “Trixie”
  145. >”Hmm?”
  146. “You may want to leave the area for a bit”
  147. >A confused expression comes to her face “Why is that?”
  148. >You point a thumb over your shoulder to the caravan
  149. “Those guys are still dead in there”
  150. >”Ah, Trixie sees, this is agreeab- WAIT WHAT?!”
  151. >She didn’t notice?
  152. >Oh yeah, the whole ‘shock’ thing
  153. >”YOU KILLED THEM??? WHY? THAT’S MURDER!”
  154. >You simplely give her a calm look
  155. “Would you rather I have not? They were scum, willing to commit something as heinous as rape, and as such, deserved to die”
  156. >What a crock of shit, you really didn’t think that
  157. >If it weren’t for the fact the Trixie could have been useful you would have left her most likely
  158. >But the lie stops her arguments in their tracks
  159. “Like I said, you might want to go for a bit or at least turn away while I get them out”
  160. >She swallows and mutely nods, turning away a bit green in the face
  161. >You get up, brushing grass of your pants and flipping your scythe around to hang on your back as you walk to the caravan
  162. >Inside are both stallions just as dead as you left them
  163. >The floor is soaked in blood, making the room smell like copper
  164. >You grab both of them by the tails and drag them out while simply kicking the head of the decapitated one out the door
  165. >Once outside you take the bodies and the head and pull them into the forest surrounding the clearing, the animals would take care of the evidence
  166. >You walk back to see Trixie still turned away looking like she was ready to throw up
  167. >You pay her no mind and go back to the caravan
  168. >How to get rid of all this blood?
  169. >Magic?
  170. >Seems like it would work
  171. >You bring a hand up to your face and focus
  172. “Rue Rom…” you mutter quietly
  173. >A swirling funnel of water materializes around your hand with the sound of churning liquid
  174. >You will it to spin as fast as it can without growing or destabilizing and bring it down to the blood stained wooden floor
  175. >The water pulls the blood up with little resistance and collects it, giving the water a pink color
  176. >After all the blood is up in the water you walk outside and flick it away from your hand, sending the pink fluid down into the grass
  177. “Juk Rom”
  178. >A low powered wind smelling of leaves swirls about the inside of the wagon, clearing out copper smell
  179. >Satisfied with your work you had back outside to Trixie
  180. >She still seems a bit green but is glad you were so quick about the bodies
  181. >”How did you clean this up so fast?” She asks as she looks about the inside of her home
  182. “A bit of magic here and there”
  183. >She whips her head around so fast that’s it’s a miracle she didn’t get whiplash
  184. >”Magic?” she asks with uncertainty
  185. “Is it an outlandish concept here?”
  186. >”Not at all” She demonstrates this by lighting up her horn and bringing a brush and mirror out from the back of the room wrapped in a similar glow
  187. >She proceeds to fix up her disheveled mane and tail while looking at you “It’s just that only unicorns like Trixie can use magic, yet you don’t have a horn?”
  188. >You shake your head
  189. >”Well, perhaps you can tell Trixie about your magic?”
  190. “All I can really do is destroy stuff and heal; some creative appliance can have other effects though”
  191. >She seems intrigued
  192. “What can you do?”
  193. >She smiles “Well, Trixie can…”
  194. >The rest of the day into the evening is spent discussing magic and all the things that can be done with it
  195. >You detected some exaggeration on her part but the conversation was very enjoyable nonetheless
  196. >Maybe Trixie could have some use beyond a guide?
  197. >This was a new take on a life you had wished so long for
  198. >Plus someone like you can’t very well roam around without your own party without things getting boring now can you?
  199. >With some work, Trixie could very well be the first member
  200. >Only time will tell
  201. ~~~Cantorlot Castle~~~
  202. >Celestia sat in her study in deep mediation
  203. >If the blast in Everfree was what she thought it was then she needed all the info she could
  204. >Diving into the deep recesses of her vast mind she recalled the first defeat of Discord
  205. >He appeared out of nowhere, looking lost as could be
  206. >Celestia and Luna, kind as they were took him in despite his appearance and erratic behavior
  207. >It wasn’t long before he grew bored of Cantorlot and started making mischief with his potent magic
  208. >Despite numerous warnings from Celestia and Luna he still acted out
  209. >Eventually he simply acted without reason to see what would happen
  210. >Discord had found that he liked the feeling that came from the chaos he caused
  211. >For months he had caused havoc while evading the celestial sisters
  212. >Finally caught in a confrontation be couldn’t avoid he decided to flee using the chaos magic he had perfected
  213. >Ripping open a portal to a random reality, he jumped in and went missing for years
  214. >It was in the middle of the day some time later the he reappeared, out of his mind
  215. >Scream, that’s all he did was scream
  216. >He screamed about mass death, cruelty unimaginable, whole cities disappearing in flashes of fire, and the perpetrators
  217. >Humans
  218. >During one of the few times the sisters managed to calm him for a few moments he described them
  219. >Tall, furless bipeds that only seemed to want to wage war upon themselves
  220. >He had apparently taken the guise of one and wandered one of their countries
  221. >Discord was so enamored with the mayhem they caused on their own that he simply sat back and watched
  222. >Then the war started
  223. >A faction of humans lead by a manipulative mastermind in the country began to round up other humans
  224. >Curious, Discord took the appearance of one and let himself be captured
  225. >What he came to was horrendous
  226. >The captured humans were brought to a camp and worked to death
  227. >Some were taken away to be experimented on while others were just killed to be killed
  228. >Discord didn’t last one week before he fled, almost in hysterics
  229. >He settled in another country to hopefully find it more peaceful
  230. >It was, just not for long
  231. >A few years passed and Discord has lived them peacefully, only tormented by his dreams of the camp that he so desperately tried to forget
  232. >Then one day while returning to his human home something happened, a huge bang sounded over the city
  233. >Then white…
  234. >After the white cleared the whole city was missing
  235. >He rushed in to find nothing but death…
  236. >Silhouettes burnt into the ground, the skeletons of lovers and friends holding one another and children burnt beyond recognition or saving crying for help that wouldn’t come
  237. >Before he could explain more Discord went back to raving mad, begging Celestia and Luna to make the memories go away
  238. >Shocked speechless, the only thing they could do was use the Elements on him
  239. >He was so happy that the Elements would erase his memory that he struck a pose in joy right before being hit
  240. >Celestia opens her eyes, the memory still vivid on her mind
  241. >She stands and walks over to her study window
  242. >Looking at Luna’s moon she can only hope against all hope that the monster out there wasn’t what she thought it was
  243. >Heavens forbid that it was unbalanced or powerful in any sort of way…
