  1. >Twilight finally calms enough to TK the tiara off of her head and takes a look at it
  2. >The nine point head piece is pure diamond, absolutely seamless and engraved with small motifs of unicorns along with waving patterns throughout the whole thing, each point tipped with a small cut diamond
  3. >You feel strangely proud of how the jewelry astonished her
  4. >People liked art right?
  5. >It wasn’t your best work but it is still pretty
  6. >Twilight gathers her wits and asks “Anon, how did you do this?” she asked almost breathless
  7. >You just shrug
  8. >She sets the tiara on a nearby desk and thinks for a moment
  9. >”Anon, I’ll be back in a bit, I want to get my friends and ask their opinion on all of this”
  10. >She gets up and heads for the door
  11. >”I’ll be back soon, feel free to read whatever you want” she calls back as she leaves
  12. >Alone once more, you begin to ponder your situation
  13. >All at once, the shock wares off
  14. >You gasp and almost fall to your knees
  15. >These p0nies, they could talk and feel…
  16. >What would they think of you?
  17. >You feel your heart begin to race as fear slowly overtakes you
  18. >What if they didn’t like you?
  19. >You feel yourself begin to hyperventilate
  20. >What if they wanted you gone?
  21. >The sudden stab of loneliness forces you to stifle a pained cry
  22. >What if…you had to be alone again?
  23. >The last thought almost brings you to tears
  24. >You’re surprised you can even talk, after the countless years you had spent in silence
  25. >The feeling of communication is almost indescribable
  26. >Knowing that someone else has listened and understands what you think…
  27. >Let alone having the ability to talk back…
  28. >You would trade everything you had ever found in your mines for it
  29. >And now it’s right here, right in front of you
  30. >The thought that it could be taken away is almost enough to sent you into hysterics
  31. >No!
  32. >You need to calm down!
  33. >You would frighten them like this
  34. >Its been over 700 years since you have had something so many take for granted
  35. >Friends…
  36. >You let out a shuddering exhale and blink the unshed tears from your eyes
  37. >Taking a deep breath you close your eyes and think
  38. >How could you get them to like you?
  39. >From what you remember, being pleasant and polite works good
  40. >Appealing to the interests of others works too
  41. >…Not appearing like an unstable nut-case should be thrown in there as well
  42. >You open your eyes and nod
  43. >Be nice, find out what they like and indulge them with the subject, and don’t let them know that your age and previous situation may have made you ill in the head
  44. >You can’t help but feel bad about the last one
  45. >Lying isn’t right…
  46. >But from what you gather these p0nies don’t live as long as you do and as such they won’t understand
  47. >You are glad you got that out of the way as Twilight comes back in with 5 others in tow just as you did
  48. >”Girls, this is the creature who was seen around town for a few days, meet Anonymous”
  49. >Feeling rather shy and unsure under the stares of the 5, you just nod and say “It’s nice to meet you all”
  50. >The pink one’s face explodes into a grin and she bounds up to you
  51. >” Hi! I’m Pinkie Pie!”
  52. ~~~~~
  53. >After several introductions, most of which you had to force yourself not to stutter through brings you to your current situation
  54. >You had also been introduced to Spike, Twilight’s young reptilian assistant
  55. >All of them decided today would be a nice day to just hang out and talk, about you mostly, and had gathered and settled around you and Twilight to do so
  56. >Although you are a bit uncomfortable being the center of attention you still do your best to accommodate them
  57. >”So darling, I was won…der…ing…” Rarity stops mid sentence to drop her jaw as she spied the tiara you made sitting on the desk nearby
  58. >Uh oh, had it been a mistake to make it?
  59. >Surely it couldn’t right?
  60. >”T-t-twilight, what is that?” Rarity asks pointing to the tiara
  61. >Twilight looks back and sees it, then smiles
  62. >The others look and see it as well, gasping when they see it
  63. >No no no! what had you done?
  64. >”You all remember when I said Anon has some strange powers right?”
  65. >They all nod, sans Rarity who is still looking at the headpiece with her jaw touching the ground
  66. >”Well this is one of them! He can transform things from one form to another.”
  67. >They all snap their heads around to stare at you
  68. >Oh god the urge to fidget is killing you
  69. >The silence goes on for almost a full minute before Rainbow Dash breaks it
  70. >”Nuh uh, prove it!” Rainbow says with an accusatory expression
  71. >In an instant all your worry disperses in favor of annoyance
  72. >She had the gall to question your abilities?
  73. >Well then…
  74. >You frown and hold out your hand, a lump of iron appearing in it in a flash and crackle of energy
  75. >Just that makes them all but Twilight jump some
  76. >Your hands light up with energy as you visualize what you want the iron to become, your powerful mind conjuring up the image flawlessly
  77. >Crushing the lump between your hands, the iron melts into a glowing blob of liquid before writhing and twisting around itself
  78. >With a flash, a hand sized figurine of a posing iron Rainbow on a pedestal is left in its place, looking just as real as the p0ny in front of you
  79. >You relish in her shocked expression
  80. >You smile and hand her the figurine
  81. >Rainbow takes it in her hoof numbly and inspects it
  82. >Not one thing out of place
  83. >She looks at it, then to you, then back at it before she begins to shake
  84. >Your worry rushes back to you, you really don’t want to offend them, had you done so?
  85. >Rainbow finally stops shaking rushes up to you, her face hardly a few inches from your own
  86. >”Dude that’s… SO AWESOME!” she shouts “And you can do this with anything?”
  87. >Starled, all you do is nod
  88. >”Oh OH! Me next!” Pinkie exclaims as she crowds up to you as well
  89. >Soon all of them are up close, expressing their amazement, even the aptly named Fluttershy forgetting her most prevalent trait
  90. >Inwardly you feel relived, they appreciated art here, 700 years of doing nothing else had turned visual art creation into your favorite pastime
  91. >And now, you had an audience to look at it all
  92. >You smile a true, genuine smile for the first time in almost a hundred years
  93. >After the p0nies had calmed down some Rarity addressed you
  94. >”Anon darling, these powers of your work an anything right”
  95. “More or less”
  96. >Her eyes seem to shine “Would you mind coming to my boutique sometime? If I could get some help with certain projects of mine I would be very grateful”
  97. >You think it over, and see no reason not to
  98. >Plus it would give you some time to learn of Rarity one on one
  99. “It would be my pleasure”
  100. >Rarity ‘squee’s and rushes up to you, wrapping you in a hug
  101. >You freeze
  102. >Rarity is touching you?
  103. >Why?
  104. >What is she doing?
  105. >You know the name of it…but you still can’t seem to remember
  106. >Rarity takes notice of your tense body and releases you with a worried expression
  107. >”Something wrong darling?”
  108. >Her voice snaps you from your thoughts
  109. “Oh um, yes just fine, you surprised me is all…”
  110. >She looks at you skeptically “If you say so”
  111. >Twilight gasps and looks like she just forgot something awful
  112. >”Oh NO! I forgot to send the letter the princess!”
  113. >She hops up and runs about the library, looking for paper and a quill
  114. >You were about to get up and help her before you see the unimpressed looks of her friends
  115. “This happen a lot?”
  116. >Applejack nods “Sure does sugercube, Twi tends to git worked up over nuthin when it comes to the princesses”
  117. >Hmm, maybe Twilight had, what’s it called? OCD?
  118. >What did that mean again?
  119. >Occur Color Duffus?
  120. >No…
  121. >Over Concealed Dildos?
  122. >No…
  123. >Obsessive Compulsive Disorder?
  124. >That sounds right
  125. >Twilight finally finds her paper and quickly jots down something before rolling it up and levitates it to Spike
  126. >The young dragon takes it and burns it to ash with a breath of fire, the ashes flying out of an open window towards a castle in the distance
  127. >Weird, but you had no room to voice such
  128. >Calm, Twilight returns to the group
  129. >”Well, the princess should be here in a little bit to meet Anon”
  130. >You can’t help but feel uneasy at that
  131. “Er, Twilight, I don’t mean to be rude or anything but it that the best idea”
  132. >”There’s no need to be worried Anon, Princess Celestia is the nicest p0ny around, if you’re worried about her doing something to you then there is no need. A few questions is the most likely thing you will get” Twilight says with conviction
  133. >It does ease you some, but you still can’t help but feel this will end badly
  134. >Conversation turns to small talk, nothing of importance said and the topic changing often
  135. >They treat you as one of their own, even without knowing you for any real period of time
  136. >Concealed behind your poker face is an emotion nothing short of elation
  137. >After some time Pinkie runs off into town and returns with a box of cupcakes after hearing several of her friends stomachs growl
  138. >”Here Anon! Try one!” She says in her bubbly voice, tossing you one of the bright colored pastries
  139. >You deftly catch it and give it a look
  140. >No time like the present
  141. >You take a bite
  142. >Almost instantly it feels like your mouth had an orgasm, the sweet flavor crashing over your taste buds like a wave over a beach
  143. >You swallow the bite and look to Pinkie
  144. “Pinkie, did you make these?”
  145. >She smiles and nods her head vigorously
  146. >You share her smile
  147. “Looks like I will be seeing more of you then”
  148. >She beams and the others share some laughter
  149. >Is this what having friends is like?
  150. >You could get used to this
  151. >Just as you finish that thought a knock sounds at the door
  152. >Twilight hops up and answers it
  153. >In through the door walks a tall, radiant, p0ny sporting both wings and a horn along with a white coat and multicolored mane and tail
  154. >”Princess!” exclaims Twilight, who falls into a bow
  155. >The others rise to their hooves and follow suit
  156. >Panicked, you rise as well and fall heavily to one knee
  157. >”Now now my little p0nies, there is no need for that” Celestia says, her voice motherly and regal
  158. >They all right themselves
  159. >Feeling foolish, you stand as well
  160. >Seeing you, Celestia gracefully strides over
  161. >Stopping several feet from you she gives you an appraising look
  162. >”You must be Anon, am I correct?”
  163. “Yes your highness…”
  164. >”There is no need for that, Celestia works fine behind closed doors”
  165. “Yes yo- Celestia”
  166. >She smiles warmly before her face falls back to its usual aloof expression
  167. >”Anon, I would like a more in-depth look at you, Twilight?”
  168. >”Yes princess?”
  169. >”May we use an unoccupied room?”
  170. >”There is one right upstairs”
  171. >”Thank you my faithful student”
  172. >Celestia turns to you “Please come with me”
  173. >Mutely, you follow the monarch, the bad feeling in your stomach growing with every step
  174. >Finally upstairs the two of you inter the guest room and turn to each other as the door closes with a push from Celestia’s magic
  175. >Just as the door closes Celestia motherly expression drops into one of complete impassiveness
  176. >The change is so abrupt that you can’t stop yourself from flinching
  177. >”Anonymous, I am sorry that I must do this, but I cannot allow a potential threat to wander my country without being sure of your intentions”
  178. >Her horn lights up
  179. >”This hurts me much more than it will you”
  180. >Faster than you can react it flashes and sends you into unconsciousness
  181. ~~~~~
  182. >Celestia walked around the vast mindscape of Anonymous, taking in the sights of the abstract and rolling landscape as she pondered where to start the memory scan
  183. >The space of his mind is so much larger than a p0nies, is he long lived or just intelligent?
  184. >Let’s find out
  185. >Deciding the beginning would be the best, her horn lights up and the scenery around her fades to black, Celestia herself submerging into the memories
  186. >…
  187. >…
  188. >…
  189. >Dark…
  190. >Dark and warm…
  191. >It’s nice here
  192. >No worries
  193. >No danger
  194. >But your favorite thing of all is the voice
  195. >You don’t know what it’s saying or where it is, but just the sound of it makes you happy
  196. >It’s melodic, reassuring, and so full of love
  197. >For the longest time you are here, resting in the warm darkness, listening to the voice
  198. >Then it happens
  199. >The whole world rumbles, voices other than your favorite babbling incoherently at a fast pace
  200. >Another rumble, fright overtakes you
  201. >The voice screams in pain
  202. >Even more fright
  203. >You knew this would happen eventually
  204. >But something is wrong
  205. >You knew you would have to leave the warm darkness at some point but not like this!
  206. >Thunk!
  207. >Light floods the area, hurting your eyes
  208. >The light gets bigger, but it’s coming from the wrong direction
  209. >Suddenly you are seized
  210. >No matter how much you fight the strength is irresistible, and you are taken from your home into the light
  211. >Cold!
  212. >So cold!
  213. >Too bright!
  214. >Make it stop!
  215. >Where is the voice?!?
  216. >The voice can make this better
  217. >You turn as best you can in the hands of your captor
  218. >There!
  219. >You see her
  220. >The owner of the voice
  221. >…
  222. >Whats wrong?
  223. >Why is she not moving?
  224. >Why won’t she save you?!
  225. >Help!
  226. >With no other option, you voice your distress
  227. >You cry
  228. ~~~~~
  229. >You’ve lived at the orphanage for as long as you can remember
  230. >Given the name Anonymous from one of the nuns who attended it
  231. >Always a bit of an outcast, you tend to get in trouble when the bullies pick on you only for you to fight back like a cornered lion
  232. >You stare at the ceiling from your bed, wondering what life was like outside
  233. >Finally you get up and get ready for the day
  234. >Going though your small trunk you find…it
  235. >The only picture of your mother…
  236. >8 months pregnant with you as looking just as happy as can be
  237. >Your heart throbs painfully as you gaze upon it
  238. >Running your thumb along her face, you put it back lest a bully finds out about it
  239. >After the classes the nuns teach are over you head back to your room
  240. >Only to see a pack of kids run out as you approach
  241. >…
  242. >No…
  243. >You run in and tear though your trunk
  244. >Its gone!
  245. >The bastards!
  246. >You run full speed out of your room and towards the collection of kids near the end of the hall
  247. >Seeing you, they all run screaming away, scattering
  248. >You get to their spot and notice bits of paper on the ground
  249. >The photo…
  250. >With no other option, you voice your distress
  251. >You roar
  252. ~~~~~
  253. >The last day of your sophomore year in college
  254. >It’s been tough over the years, but you made something of yourself
  255. >The last you saw of the old orphanage bully leader, he was pumping gas at some ghetto gas station
  256. >Sweet sweet karma
  257. >Parties had sprung up all over campus and you were on your way to one
  258. >An education, a job, a life ahead of you.
  259. >Nothing could stop you now!
  260. >Or that’s what you thought before a drunk driver ran a red light and T-boned you
  261. >You died on impact
  262. ~~~Day  1~~~
  263. >Wha?
  264. >Where?
  265. >You jerk awake
  266. >Looking around you see that you are in the middle a field
  267. >But?
  268. >You rise and begin to walk
  269. >It would be a week before you realized you were lost
  270. ~~~Day 40~~~
  271. >Ohhhh
  272. >Food…
  273. >There is almost none
  274. >Your stomach ties itself into a knot in pain
  275. >For over a month you have been here…
  276. >For a week you’ve had no food
  277. >The monsters at night only made it worse
  278. >You need to get out of here
  279. >You need help
  280. ~~~Day 264~~~
  281. >For the longest time you’ve avoided the ones you had dubbed “Creepers”
  282. >Tall green things that serve no purpose other than to kill other things via suicide bombing by an unknown means
  283. >You had avoided them well
  284. >Not well enough however…
  285. >You foolishly left your shelter open
  286. >You will pay for it
  287. >ssssssSSSSSS!
  288. >?
  289. BOOM!
  290. >A scream rips out your throat as a blast and heat overtake you
  291. >You can only lay numbly on the now ruined ground as you look at your charred arm
  292. >Why?
  293. >Why are you here?
  294. ~~~Year 59~~~
  295. >Lonely,
  296. >No one…
  297. >For three days you had been staring at the wall
  298. >Waiting
  299. >Waiting for anyone
  300. >But no one would show…
  301. ~~~Year 246~~~
  302. >You wiped your brow as you dug
  303. >Mining for new materials had become as easy as breathing and a great way to kill time
  304. >You dig a bit further, your pickaxe reducing boulders to dust in only a few strikes
  305. >Wha?
  306. >Is the wall glowing?
  307. >Curiosity overtakes you, the prospect of finding something new killing your reason
  308. >With one swing the wall collapses
  309. >And reveals red hot lava
  310. >With a gasp you turn and run down the mineshaft
  311. >Not fast enough though
  312. >The lava runs down and engulfs your leg
  313.  >Unspeakable pain shoots up your being
  314. >Despite this you run
  315. >It hurts…
  316. >It hurts so much that you want to die
  317. >But you go
  318. >Every step feels like lightening lancing up your leg
  319. >When the lava finally stops you fall to the ground and look at your leg
  320. >The skin is melted to your actual leg and blood oozes out of the whole thing
  321. >Shakily unstoring a health potion, you open it up and pour it onto the leg
  322. >A primal scream leaves you as the cooked flesh writhes and heals
  323. >Almost 10 agonizing minutes pass before its done
  324. >Dazed, you idly wonder it would have been better if you just let the lava run you down
  325. ~~~Year 577~~~
  326. >You had made something quite wondrous today
  327. >Paint!
  328. >The powers you learned all those years ago had helped immensely
  329. >In your modest stone house you set up some canvas and simply let your mind wander as your hands dance across the canvas
  330. >Several minutes in you stop and take notice of what you had made
  331. >It’s a portrait of a woman
  332. >Hmm, who is she?
  333. >How funny, you could have sworn you know her from-!
  334. >A voice comes to you, melodic and warm
  335. >It’s her…
  336. >Mother…
  337. >What could have been…
  338. >You drop your brush and paint, going to your hands and knees as tears spring to your eyes
  339. >Why?
  340. >Why are you here!?!?
  341. >You curl up, wishing for your own death
  342. “M-mommy, please…Anyone…Please, I don’t want to be alone…I’m scared! M-make it stop! MAKE IT STOOOOOOOP!”
  343. >SNAP!
  344. >With no other options, you voice your distress
  345. >You scream
  346. ~~~~~
  347. >Celestia watched, horror struck as every moment played before her, forcing her to experience every pain Anonymous has suffered
  348. >How? How had he survived?
  349. >As the last one played, the spell ended
  350. >Feeling her cheeks wet and her knees shaking, the alicorn lets herself fall harshly to her stomach as she looks to Anon
  351. >Anonymous stood there, passed out yet still on his feet
  352. >Slowly but surely, his eyes brightened as he returned from his forceful slumber
  353. ~~~~~
  354. >Whoa,
  355. >What just happened?
  356. >You shake yourself awake and look at Celestia, who was on her knees
  357. >Oh no…
  358. >Had you hurt her?
  359. “Princess, all you alrigh-!
  360. >Without warning she lunges at you, bowling you over as she buries her head into your chest and weeps hysterically
