It’s escapism, I know, but I would rather imagine than toil every day, just like I have done for my entire life. Only recently have I strived for a specific dream, the world of Equestria, filled with pastel-colored mares and stallions. But, dreams usually remain just that; dreams, large constructs of ideas and concepts conjured up by a tired mind. However, sometimes those unreal universes become reality, as it did in my case. I came to Equestria.   But, just like in some cliché fantasy novel, something was wrong. Something was very, very wrong.   The circumstances of my arrival at this fantasy land are foggy - The last I remember of my world is going on a long walk in the countryside after a quite tiring workday. I got lost, and next I remember finding a river. Crossing it by hopping over some stones, making sure I don’t slip, then navigating through some thick, almost jungle-like shrubbery without too many difficulties barring some scratches and a single bleed, I found my way on the outskirts of a village. A surprisingly rural village, something completely unknown to me. Thatched roofs and smoking chimneys crowned simple wooden cottages and residences, each as colorful as the other. I didn’t think I could make it back home by my own power, so I approached the rustic place, hoping to find directions. “Surprise” isn’t strong enough a word to describe my reaction when I got close.   What I saw was both unexpected and bizarre. It was like right out of a Sunday morning cartoon. There were colorful “ponies” in that village, walking, chatting, standing around, doing all kinds of pony things. Pegasi, Unicorns, even Earth ponies, all of them were commuting in this sunset. But it seemed somewhat off, weird and uncanny. After I closed in, I realized why. They were missing something, something quite vital.   They were missing their lower bodies. Legs, croup, hip, everything past the ribcage and up, completely gone. Yet they stood.
