Earth = Regular
Unicorn = Elves
Donkeys = Mexicans
Gryphons = Eagle hybrids
 
The Princesses are called Mother Luna and Mother Celestia and their parents are called Mother and Father. Some will call them Great Mother and Great Father. Great Mother gives life while Great Father brings death and guides them to the afterlife.
 
Ponies and horses exist but because of magic and ponies and donkeys are botched spells.
