1. ---- Another alternate ending/perspective for MisterElGuapo's 'Broken Wings' that I was challenged to make by some anon -----
2.
3. >You are Rainbow Dash
4. >Currently, you’re on a dirt road with heavy saddlebags secured to your back
5. >And you are crying
6. >You weren't sobbing anymore
7. >You had gotten too tired to do so
8. >Instead, silent teardrops maintained a steadily flow down your face
9. >The road had taken you around ponyville
10. >Longer route, but it was for the best
11. >If anyone saw you in your current state...
12. >You sit down and, despite your physical and emotional exhaustion, you begin to sob heavily again
13. >By Celestia, what was wrong with you!?
14. >You...y-you didn't need him
15. >You were Rainbow Dash, best flyer in all of Equestria!
16. >Unfortunately, boasting to yourself whilst crying on a deserted dirt road didn't do much to calm you down
17. "Dammit Anon...why?"
18. >Your voice cracks on the ‘why’
19. >Whatever you did to distract your mind, it always came back to him
20. >Anonymous
21. >You remembered back to the first time you looked into his eyes after the accident
22. >How he said he promised to fix you up
23. >Make you whole again
24. >You couldn’t exactly pin the moment that you developed feelings for him
25. >But you knew that, initially, you were disgusted with yourself
26. >Anon wasn't a pony... he was a talking, hairless ape that walked on two legs
27. >You blamed the drugs and painkillers at the beginning
28. >...But you never forgot that promise
29. >You shut your watery eyes, trying to drown out the rest of the world as you dwell on the past
30. >When anything happened, you wanted him next to you
31. >Anything.
32.
33. >He quickly became the only person you trusted in your life
34. >and soon after you had moved into his private clinic...
35. >The only one you wanted in your life at all
36. >As you healed and grew stronger with him, so had your affection
37. >By then, you couldn't deny the tingling in your chest when you were near him
38. >You loved him
39. >You.
40. >The most outspoken and tomboyish pegasus in all of ponyville...
41. >was in love with human
42. >You never felt this way about anyone
43. >Anything, for that matter
44. >Deep down... you knew you'd never feel it again either
45. >Regardless of how tightly you squeezed your eyelids shut, the tears found a way out
46. >A muted, hollow smile comes across your face as you think back to that fateful day,
47. >When you had almost told him about your feelings
48. >How he made you feel warm
49. >How he made you feel safe
50. >How he made you feel...
51. >Loved.
52. >What would have happened, you wonder, if you had told him?
53. >If, by some extraordinary feat, you could have gained control of your tongue to form those three words
54. "I-I...love you"
55. >But now it was far too late
56. >Far too late to change everything
57. >You open your eyes
58. >It was getting dark
59. >4 maybe 5 hours had passed since you had stopped
60. >You will yourself to move on
61. >Every part of your body feels dead or broken
62. >But you move, nonetheless
63. >What carries you forward remains a mystery
64. >Adrenaline?
65. >Resentment?
66. >Or some sad hope you'd be able to win him over?
67. >You continue to lumber forward, heading for home
68. >But in reality, you’d didn’t know where to go
69. >You just kept walking
70.
71. [www.rainymood.com]
72. >Eventually it started to lightly rain
73. >It wasn’t your first time walking alone in the rainfall
74. >But you couldn’t shake off the coldness of each passing drop of freezing water
75. >Eventually you became so numb that you couldn’t distinguish the drops from each other
76. >It just felt like a sole shower of misery was hitting you with everything it had
77. >You drag yourself forward, ponyville in the near distance as you approach your castle in the clouds
78. >Unknowing to you, the colors of your once vivid and bright mane were now muted, reflecting a stained haze
79. >In time, the rain changes from its once spitting-like pace to a steady and constant rhyme
80. >Each drop falls in unison, reverberating a continuous pitter patter against the ground
81. >You don’t remember the weather team scheduling such a storm
82. >Honestly though, you didn’t care
83. >The clamor of downpour had done its best to distract you from your painful thoughts
84. >Now your mind was void, empty and drained just like the rest of you
85. >In a few minutes, you were in front of your little castle in the clouds
86. >It wasn’t as high up as cloudsdale but it was high enough to avoided by land travelers
87. >The puffy yet solid white walls, which you once thought stood as a monument to your own toughness, now only gave you the impression of a personal prison
88. >You didn’t know if you’d ever leave it, once you were inside
89. >Just shut the door on your friends, on ponyville, on the world
90. >On Anon
91. >All you manage is a sniffle
92.
93. >You had probably exhausted your tear supply
94. >Up until today, you didn’t think you had one
95. >But you started to not mind the tears as you went on
96. >It felt like you were physically expelling all the gloom trapped in your little frame
97. >Despite that feeling of release, the pain was always ever present
98. >Nothing you did could rid you of this vacant, raw sentiment
99. >Stopping directly under the castle, you go to spread your wings
100. >Instantly your mind shoots back to when you’d flown your first time with Anon
101. >You remember every feel, every amber of joy and pure delight as you playfully tackled him into the ground
102. >In that moment, you are there on top of him
103. >Both you laughing, not giving a care for the world, lost in each other’s embrace
104. >Slowly, the laughter is shattered into the present familiar sound of drizzling rain
105. >You wince, as if physically wounded by your return to the dark, distasteful reality
106. >Closing your eyes to keep any other agonizing memories at bay, you flap your wings and ascend to your private fortress
107. >You don’t recall what happened the events following
108. >You closed the large gate and had somehow made it to your bed
109. >Sleeping was one thing that might make you feel better, you thought
110. >Tossing and turning for minutes provided you with no nap
111. >You just wanted this day to be over
112. >As you curl up in your bed, shivering still from the rain, your mind wanders
113. >You were recalling the day of the funeral
114. >Or more precisely, the time after it
115. >You are watching from a distance as AJ and Anon talk
116.
117. [Stop rainmoody.com]
118. [youtu.be/TVViQonHYHU]
119. >As Anon walks away, you knew something was wrong
120. >His eyes, they were…
121. >You didn’t like the look in his eyes
122. >His expression showed vexing angry, but in his eyes he was hurting
123. >Badly.
124. >Without a word, you joined him in his retreat
125. >You could just tell by being near him that AJ had said something to hurt him
126. >For an instant, you’re furious at AJ… but you return to looking up at Anon
127. >The angry was gone now, just a vacant stare and those… aching eyes
128. >You didn’t like this
129. >It made you… uncomfortable
130. >Rainbow Dash wasn’t one for talking about feelings
131. >But this was Anon and you needed to help him get through this
132. >You try to voice your words, but find the same difficulty as last time
133. >Finally you force yourself to speak clearly
134. “Anon, you want to talk about it or what?”
135. >A slight chill goes down your spine as he replies
136. >Anon:” Rainbow…just go back without me, okay? I want to be alone for a while…”
137. >Oh Celestia, what was wrong with him?
138. >What did that bitch say to cause him to act like this?
139. >Suddenly you’re scared for him again
140. >What was he planning to doing?
141. >…?!
142. ”Okay, just…don’t do anything stupid. Come home in one piece, okay?”
143. >You made your way home and waited all evening for him
144. >Every passing minute seeming longer than the last
145. >Eventually, you became practically insane from waiting and decided to grab a book to pass the time
146. >You opened it up and began to read
147. >None of the words sunk in, of course, your mind to busy occupied on Anon
148. >Finally you hear the door screech open
149. >He stumbles in,
150.
151. >Reeking of alcohol
152. >You told him not to do anything stupid
153. >Your usually self tells you to knock some sense into him
154. >But that idea quickly fades as he begins to teeter
155. >Your concern for him wins over and you allow yourself to take him under his arm
156. >As you make your way upstairs, his drunken state becomes apparent
157. >He bluntly starts talking about pony plot out loud
158. >You can’t help but blush and feel unnerving
159. >This wasn’t Anon
160. >What had he done to himself?
161. >As he flops onto his mattress, you start to leave when something inside you tells you to get him ready for bed
162. >You try to push out the dirty thoughts and the inclination that you are violating him as you take off his jackets and clothes
163. >Lastly, you look over your sick and damaged friend
164. >He had become the only true friend you had had since the accident
165. >Sure the girls did their best to come and visit
166. >But he had fix you up, saved your life
167. >Even now, he had devoted himself to making you strong again…to get you into your beloved sky again
168. >A single tear rolls down your face
169. >You couldn’t stand the sight of him in pain
170. >All night, you sat on the corner of his bed and watched him sleep
171. >Too scared that something would happen and you wouldn’t be there for him
172. >5 minutes turned to half-hour, a half-hour turned to an hour…
173. >You body whined for sleep but you didn’t give in
174. >All your focus was on the one who had saved your life
175. >and who had stolen your heart
176. >Just then, he began to stir and his eyes opened
177. >Anon:”…Rainbow”
178.
179. >Before you could even think, your lips are locked to his
180. >At first you were petrified, terrified of his possible reactions
181. >But he does what you had been longing him to do for so many months
182. >He accepts you and your love
183. >You remember every single moment of that night and you’ll probably never forget them
184. >Every sensation, touch and breathe permanently craved into every fiber of your being
185. >You lose yourself in the memory as you and the only love of your life finally come together
186. >No words can describe how you felt that night… how you had both felt
187. >Sure, you couldn’t down play the pleasure you had experienced
188. >But there was something else, deep down in your chest
189. >Like a caged hummingbird had finally been set free
190. >The true highlight of that night was when you were able to fall asleep, snuggled against his chest
191. >You had never felt so close to someone… so close to him
192. >Gradually, the warmth and love you had envision slowly fades with the memory
193. >As you find yourself, alone and drenched, in a cold empty bed
194. >You whimper softly to yourself, curling up tighter in attempt to replicate some false impression of his warmth
195.
196. >You are too busy indulging in your own sorrow to notice the noise of the gates open
197. >But you hear the screech of your bedroom door as it opens to reveal an idly hovering pegasus
198. “S-S-Soarin’!”
199. >Doing your best to wipe the stained tears for your face, you sit up and stare daggers at his sunken expression
200. >You just wanted to be alone and what right did he have to come busting into your home. YOUR BEDROOM. So late at night
201. >Wonderbolt or not, it didn’t matter
202. >You cared not for that dream anymore
203. >You didn’t care about anything anymore
204. “W-what the hay you doing here?! *sniffle* “Get the BUCK out of my room!”
205. >You only muster a petty amount of strength in your condition but you are able to toss one of plushie cloud pillows at his face
206. >To your surprise, he falls back out of the air and staggers on the ground
207. >For you didn’t know Soarin’ had went to Apple Acres this afternoon to get his monthly supply of apple pies, only to find AJ unavailable
208. >You didn’t know that after which he had decided to blow some bits at the bar to satisfy himself
209. >You didn’t know that he had had 4 bottles of imported Flim Flam Cider and had started a bar fight
210. >You didn’t know that he had gotten his ass beat and had been kicked out of town
211. >You didn’t know that he was now fuming with drunken madness, searching for an outlet of release
212. >You didn’t know that that Soarin’… wasn’t the Soarin’ you had once admired anymore
213. >Stumbling around, he gets to his hooves and begins making his way towards you
214.
215. >Soarin:“Ahhh come on-n rainboww”
216. >He puts his front hooves on the edge of your bed
217. > Soarin:“What’s gotchaa lookin’ all down, kiddo”
218. >The stallion’s words are grossly slurred and you can nearly taste the alcohol from his breath
219. >You back away
220. >Soarin:”How’d you like to speeend a nigt with a’h wondErbolt?”
221. “Soarin’ what are you…”
222. >As he climbs into your bed, you get a glimpse at the space in between his hind legs
223. >Instantly, the hairs of your fur stand on end
224. >You can’t help but scream
225. “GET THE HAY OUT OF MY CASTLE”
226. >He reaches for you with his hoof, but you are already turning around
227. >Using your two powerful hind legs to buck him back into the wall
228. >The cloud wall shakes, leaving an imprint of Soarin’ as he falls to the floor
229. >Why?
230. >Why was this happening now?
231. >Why couldn’t this day just end!
232. >You’re making your way out the room
233. >In between the bed and door, you had become upset again
234. >Your eyes were watery and you were just about on the verge of hysteria
235. >Why…
236. >First, Anon rejects you, leaving you for one of your best friends
237. >And now THIS was happening
238. >You couldn’t possible imagine that it could get any worse
239. >As you make your way out of the bedroom, you can hear an angry grunt from Soarin’ as he gets to his hooves again
240. >You needed to get out of this damn caste
241. >This damn town
242. >Hell, even out of this damned country
243. >You couldn’t handle this…
244.
245. >You spread your wings as you attempt to fly out of one of the open sky-windows
246. >Just as you were a few mere feet from it, something hard slams into your side
247. >You let out a pained groan as you slam into the adjacent wall
248. >The impact plus your current unstable mental state leaves you shaken
249. >You try to put pressure on your right hoof but it stings as you do so
250. >Reluctant to get out of the castle, you begin crawling to the main gate
251. >Briefly looking over your shoulder, you see Soarin’ is trying to get up again but failing miserable due to his level of intoxication
252. >Yet, he’s still moving… towards you
253. >You can only catch a glimpse of his eyes in the dead moonlight
254. >In them you see angry, fear, hate
255. > But most of all you see… you see
256. >…
LUST
257. >You needed to get out of here
258. >Crawling, in spite of your aching leg, you inch yourself closer to the exit
259. >You had to find a place to stay and hide for the night
260. >Somewhere safe
261. >Somewhere well-known
262. >Anon’s house
263. >Yeah… he’d help you
264. >Like he always had
265. >He’d pr-
266. >You are pulled back away from the gate as something latches onto your hind legs
267. >An unexpected growl escapes your mouth as you try to kick back
268. >Your right hoof makes a good connection against something, and Soarin’ lets go
269. >Oh thank Celestia that was-
270. >You feel him grab your mane with his teeth as he lifts you up
271. >You can’t help let out a weak yelp as your eyes tighten in torment
272. >Then he slams your head into the rigid cloud floor
273.
274. >Your body sits there unresponsive as you try to process what just happened
275. >You try to get up, pushing up with your front hooves,
276. >When you feel Soarin’ chest press against your back, driving you firmly into the ground
277. “G-Get Of-fff!”
278. >You try to muscle out of his pin, but he’s using all his weight and strength to keep you down
279. >His head is now right next to yours
280. >You can’t see him but you can feel every deep breath brush against your cheek
281. >As your energy to struggle lessens, he begins trying to pushing your legs apart
282. >You’re squirming helpless now, like a worm before a bird
283. >You’re able to muster a weak yelp of protest and a lament plea now and then, but it’s all in vain
284. >In a matter of moments, he has pulled himself completely over you as he wraps hind legs around yours, keeping them spaced apart
285. >The shock doesn’t allow you to process what is about to happen
286. >Your crying more than ever
287. >No pony could endure this amount of trauma in one day without completely breaking
288. >You’re painful weeping; your deep breaths sounding woozy
289. >With your heavy sobbing, you can only form loud and frantic words of begging
290. “Please-e sto-p *gasp* please n-o!”
291. >His breath picks up as you feel him move in closer
292. >You try to push and pull in every direction, but you’re completely helpless
293. >And that’s what really terrifies you
294. >You were all alone
295. >No one could hear you scream…
296. >No one was there to protect you…
297. >No one there to care for you…
298. [http://youtu.be/YHvskzXNh6g]
299. >Raising your tear-soaked face, you let out a desperate cry
300. “A-Anon help me!”
301.
302. >For a moment, time stands still as your words echo throughout the castle
303. >No sound of weeping, heavy breathing or any other noise can be heard
304. >For a moment, your final fraught petition hangs in the air, waiting for an answer
305. >And that’s that moment when Soarin’ decides to lunge forward
306. >Your whole body rocks forward with his as you let out an excruciating gasp
307. >He begins to pull out again and you feel yourself shake
308. >In continued succession, he drives himself back and forth into you
309. >Tearful moans and cries ring out in sync with the muted noise of Soarin’ rubbing against your body
310. >Throughout that whole night, you never stopped calling for him
311. >Your mind had snapped and, like a broken record, your murmured cries for him looped on
312. >Even through your aggrieved breaths and moans, you cried for him
313. >Prayed for him to save you
314. >As the night worn on, the endless murmurs dribbled down into unintelligible whispers
315. >Only when she had passed out, covered in cold sweat and tears, did they stop
316.
317. >Meanwhile, in not so far off ponyville, a single patient stirs in his sleep
318. >He is covered head to toe in bandages and casts, having survived a great ordeal the morning before
319. >Now as he fidgets in his sleep, an orange pony’s head rests gently on his chest
320. >”Shh its al’ight, Anon. ‘Ur safe”
321. >His state of deep slumber is not disturbed but still he continues to unconsciously move and twitch
322. >An orange hoof finds its way through his hair, brushing him softly
323. “Its al’ight… ‘Um here Anon”
324. >A few minutes pass and his stirring stops
325. >The orange pony lets out a light sigh of relief and rests her head again on his chest, falling asleep
326. >Unknown to them both, the pleas of a lost lover cry out against the night
327. >With enough power and resolution to echo across worlds
328. >Yet, heard by no one…
