The Dark World part.04

   Green Kain awoke to the sound of alarmed spy demons. As he rose from his bed his armor appeared on his body as though from mist.

 

    “What is the meaning of this?!” he demanded from the small grey figure wearing a brown hooded robe outside his chamber.

 

    “Master” it said in its hiss like voice, “One of our brothers has vanished. He was defeated in battle. He sent us a mental image upon his defeat of his attackers. He was suppose to teleport automatically back to our world. But he has not returned. We fear a

terrible mistake master.”

 

     The Green Kain eyed the small demon well aware it wasn’t saying everything, “Well,” demanded Green Kain, “spit out the details. And this had better be worth disturbing me.”

 

   The small creature gulped and spoke in a fearful tone, “The mental image was of a strange werewolf and two winged horned demons, a male and a female. They attacked our brother while he was bringing a child to the corresponding point on Earth to the housing area of the field. His last message, it showed them freeing the child and attacking him.”

 

   The Green Kain rumbled under his breath and said, “So, one of you had the misfortune while the Earth goes to hell of running across three monsters. Heh, it may be as I thought, the few remaining humans may well be being rounded up by the monsters of that world like cattle.”

 

     The Green Kain smiled and said, “heh, one of you has been lost then, killed for stealing cattle from two demons and a werewolf. Well you couldn’t be expected to stop that, however I still want those humans. My seer glass has shown a great many in that area, three monsters can hardly stop my spies. You’ll just have to vanish right back to our world at the spot of abduction.”

 

     The spy demon began to shiver, “sir, we don’t believe those monsters will be a problem getting those humans any more sir.”

 

  The Green Kain stopped smiling and eyed the small demon, “Why?” he asked in an angry tone knowing full well he wouldn’t like the answer given the situation.

 

    “Well sir,” it said fearfully, “it seems the portal back to the fields wasn’t only filled with our brother, it seems three other lives came through, and when he lost consciousness the three nearest him, close enough to vanish back with him, they were those three monsters.”

 

    “WHAT!?” screamed the Green Kain, “You mean to tell me, right now, since yesterday, a werewolf and two winged demons have been running wild in my fields!?”

 

    The small demon shrank back against the wall holding its hands up in fear to plea for its life, “Master,” it said in a crackling voice, “Our brother regained his mind, I was about to tell you master, he is tied up. The slaves stole magic rope from the palace, they have him, he has shown us that the two demons and the werewolf stayed the night with the elder watch human of the seventh district. I came to tell you this news master, we made a mistake, we will correct the mistake, and master to make up for it last night we went and captured all the humans those three had. We have them in the fourth district away from their former masters.”

 

    The Green Kain stopped and thought of this for a moment, “Good” he said, “It seems I can’t expect low classes like yourselves to fight off such monsters as these, heh, but you are clever little bastards none the less. I will take care of the intruders myself.”

 

   As the Green Kain walked into his great hall he said aloud to himself, “This was clearly a trap set by some demon lord to test me. Two winged demons and a werewolf just happen to be working together to keep human cattle? Not a chance, werewolves are too stupid and winged demons don’t feed on human flesh. I will slaughter these intruders and show my enemies who it is that rules the Central KainLand!”

 

     “Rhoan” spoke a female voice from above the Green Kain who jerked his head upwards to see a woman he had never seen before floating upside down with her comical red tail twitching in the air and her tiny comical red wings clearly incapable of holding her up even had they been flapping.

 

    “Who are you!?” he demanded pointing at her, “Are you the master of those monsters that even now trespass in my land?”

 

    “Now, now” spoke the woman, “You certainly are the stressed one aren’t you? Its no wander your aunty wants me to help you.”

 

    She floated right side up but stayed a height above his head sitting in the air as though sitting in a chair with her legs crossed like a proper young lady.

 

   “I am Fira the lady of Chaos.” She stated.

 

    “Fire-Ra?” stated the Green Kain, “Lady of Chaos? Is this supposed to mean anything to me? Aunty sent you? I don’t have any aunty! And what the hell was that you said earlier? Rhine? What the Hell is that supposed to mean!? Answer me now or die bitch!”

 

    Fira landed on the ground and with a wicked smile stated, “Fira, the lady of Chaos. I am a chaos demon, little boy. Your aunty the Queen of Thorns who is sister to the Queen of Carrion has asked me a favor. Asked me to assist you save face for when the empress arrives in six days from now. And oh yes as for Rhoan.”

 

      She pointed at the fire place on the far side of the great hall, “That fire place was built over a door that was placed in the side of a rock, your architects were fools, or were planning your eventual death.”

 

    She giggled and floated over to the fire place, “This entire land you dare call Kain Land is the land of Rune Stone. A kingdom belonging to the fifth general of Dark World, Rhoan; who right now is standing about three miles below us; and he is so powerful he could kill you as easily as brush lint from a shelf. Heh, I would imagine that when the empress calls him when she arrives, that when he steps through that door and finds a palace where his desert should be, let alone fields, he will raze your entire kingdom to dust and sand. Oh and probably kill your brothers too, and before I forget probably hunt down your mum and kill her too.”

 

    “Be gone.” Said the Green Kain with a face twisted up in hatred, “be gone, I have more important things to deal with than the rantings of a mad woman.”

 

    Fira shrugged her shoulders, “So be it,” she said with a smile, “I offered my help, you declined. I should just kill you now, but the story would end too soon if I did.” She giggled a smile and vanished in a blink.

 

    The Green Kain shook his head, “Now what the hell was that all about? Damned monsters in my backyard and now some ranting lunatic, what is this? Has my kingdom become such a laughing stock that any insane monster thinks he can wander in here?”

 

     He grabbed his cape dramatically and headed out the front doors of his hall, “Come to me my spies!”

 

     several small spy demons appeared wearing CIA type outfits, “Take me to the intruders.” He demanded and immediately they all vanished in a flash of light.
