- Inside the temple, at the round bird bath like altar in the middle of the room, the red skinned woman stands before the claw sitting on the altar. She touches the claw causing it to release a beam of light from the knife like claws on the fingers. From this beam of white light a small winged monkey appears just as big as the others in the temple.
- “Damned humans,” thinks this woman, “I can only make one monkey an hour for three days of the year and they go and kill half of them.”
- She picks up the new one and says, “Poor little baby, if only my little pets had had a week to grow to full size then it would have been a different story.”
- She lets the new monkey fly up to the top of the temple to join the other winged monkeys that were still flying back to the temple.
- “I had better bring some of the older monkey soldiers back here to guard the new ones from now on.” she thinks with a sigh.
- As she stands there she grows in height to a full six feet (snapping her clothing off in the process) and she changes color as she does so. The redness of her skin seems to flow from her body up into her hair as though her hair was sucking it up. Her skin became a pale white and her nipples a pale pink. Her hair reflecting the fact that it was sucking up the red from her skin changed from raven black to blackish red. Her eyes, changed from their tiger yellow to a fiery red.
- She thinks back to the earlier events, back to the knight pushing her down. “After that I was going to block his sword with my arm,” she thinks, “enjoying the surprise and fear on his face as his sword wouldn’t have even left a scratch. Then I would have grabbed the sword, broken it in half and killed him along with those other bastards for what they did to my pets. Not to mention trying to steal the left claw of Hanuman.”
- She sighs as she continued talking to herself, “That’s what should have happened.”
- She walked around the altar, petting a nearby winged monkey under the chin as she passed it.
- She paced around the altar in a circle with a look of concern on her beautiful face, “That man,” she said to herself, “his scent had Litmet written all over it.”
- She furrowed her eyebrows, “A newly formed Litkin then” she continued, “with my mother’s scent on him and traces of my half sister, as it were, Sehkmenta’s scent on him as well.”
- She stopped for a moment with a puzzled look on her face as something had just occurred to her “So Litmet is up to something & Sehkmenta as I recall went to sleep in her temple until the day that humans would return to the old ways and seek her out.”
- She chuckled at the last bit thinking, “yeah sleep forever in other words.”
- A woman’s voice behind her startled her, “And what exactly is so funny about that?” said the voice.
- She turned around quickly to see Sehkmenta in her cat woman form standing not six feet away near the door to the inner chamber.
- Not waiting for an answer Sehkmenta continued speaking, “The Black Rose, long time no see Flower Maiden. It seems living in this temple with your illusions and magic has dulled your senses. Our mother has been awake for more than thirty years now; and I myself have been awake for nearly a year now.”
- “So what if this place is full of magic,” stated the formally red woman known as The Black Rose, “and so what, I didn’t notice two energy signatures out of those of the countless supernatural beings wandering this world.”
- Black Rose walked closer to Sehkmenta as she continued, “I only care to know why you are here? I trust it has something to do with that Litkin that was here earlier?”
- “So our mother did turn that human into a Litkin.” Said Sehkmenta, “I was tracking his energy signature just to make sure I was right about that. Well now that you, being a hybrid body clone of Litmet, have confirmed that’s what she turned him into I will be on my way to leave you to whatever it is you’re doing here.”
- As Sehkmenta turned to leave, The Black Rose quickly dashed over in the blink of an immortal’s eye to her half sister’s side. Face to face with her sister, “You’re up to something dear sister; our mother is up to something.”
- She narrowed her eyes as she continued, “She has never created a Litkin from a human before. So what’s going on?”
- Sehkmenta walked out the temple and turned to Black Rose inside and said with a wave of her hand as though dismissing the ramblings of a child, “I don’t know what she’s up to, nor do I really care. I was just curious to see if she really created a Litkin. You being her clone in a sense this was the easiest way to find out. After all you being a Flower Maiden could much easier than I recognize the scent of a Litkin.”
- The Black Rose in a flash flew out of the temple into the night air and landed with thud next to Sehkmenta with a suspicious glare in her eyes asked, “What? You followed him here just to ask me if he was a Litkin? I’m not buying it, what are you up to sister?”
- Sehkmenta rolled her eyes and said to her half sister, “I only came to confirm our mother actually created a Litkin, that’s all, so goodbye sister.”
- With that Sehkmenta vanished into thin air leaving behind a blue light of her outline for a moment before it to vanished.
- The Black Rose with a gleam in her eyes and a wicked smile upon her face said to herself, “I don’t know what game your playing, but I will be damned if I don’t join in on the fun.”
