The Awakening ch.17

    Through the panic Rick manages to reposition himself to a closer, better, location just on the edge of the camp with a clear view down into the hole, close enough to hear anything going on down there and see it as well. With his recording binoculars in place he observes the events down the hole. Rick sees as Sehkmenta and the three Were-Dires go down to the hole that Dr. O’Conner and Al’Suad are already standing in, in front of a terrifying sight. For the back of the hole is an open giant black gate at least thirty feet tall. The gate’s two doors stand open with the giant golden Ankh embedded as a key in the right door. Inside the giant double doors appears a giant curtain of moving black shadow like a wall of black water. The horror of this sight is short lived as great black thorn covered tendrils come through the gateway like a cross between the some horrific snakes from hell and the tentacles of some massive unseen squid. A truly horrifying sight to the workers who despite Sehkmenta’s words all ran at once. Sehkmenta’s right hand glowed with a ghostly green light and with a wave of her hand and the uttering of the word, “Sleep” all the workers fell to the ground into deep sleep.

 

    Sehkmenta and the were-dire forms of Ophelia, Hadrian, and Silver stand before the gateway as the tendrils pull back and the form of a man walks through, except that this man was made of solid shadows in the shape of a well built man with long flowing hair  looking like the shadow of some male supermodel in 3-D. The man had no facial details to speak of, but was clearly the outline of a handsome man’s face, save for the flowing red ovals in place of eyes. The great form of Rho-Sho stands before them with Dr. O’Conner and Al’Suad standing behind them in shock at the foreboding appearance of this creature, Al’Suad especially in his horrified eyes is fixated on Rho-Sho with thoughts that this might be the basis for Iblis king of the Djinn, especially after Rho-Sho for no apparent reason suddenly sprouts forth two greay shadow demon wings from his back.  

 

       They can only look on as the workers run for their lives only to be put to sleep by Sehkmenta’s magic.

 

    Al’Suad whispers to Dr. O’Conner, “A devil, first a destroyer from ancient myths, then these guys turn out to be wolves in sheep’s clothing & now some giant devil creature from behind black gates and a veil of shadows.”

 

    Rho-Sho looks down at Al’Suad and says, “I can hear you little human.”

 

    As Al’Suad takes a step back Hadrian says, “You should never run from a predator human.”

 

    Al’Suad stops and can only stand as Rho-Sho continues in a regal tone, “I am Rho-Sho the king of shadows, ruler of the Abyss of darkness, humans are as nothing compared to my power, mere food and entertainment is the vast majority of your worthless kind.”

 

    He turns to others, “Sehkmenta, it has been a very long time since we last spoke, what it is you went through all the trouble of digging up the gate to the Abyss of darkness for?”

 

      Sehkmenta says, “We seek your knowledge, or rather they seek your knowledge.”

 

    She gestured to the three Were-Dires when speaking. Rho-Sho looks at Ophelia and says, “O-Vix”, then to Hadrian and says, “Hadd” and finally to Silver and says, “Silver”.

 

    Rick from his stand point shakes his head thinking, “Okay their names were all fake of course. But her, she called her self Silver, she has silver fur, and she doesn’t bother to make up a fake name just going with Silver. Something tells me she’s just a little obsessed with silver.”

 

    Rho-Sho continues to speak to the H.E.P. members saying, “What could you want from me that you or the Rai Censa wouldn’t already know?”

 

    Silver steps forward and says, “Sire we woke up her majesty Sehkmenta here while searching for her mother Litmet. We got information telling us that others, namely the Doh-Rong among them have been searching for her tomb as well as Sehkmenta’s. It seems we only got the location of one of the two tombs from the Doh-Rong we questioned. So we are here to ask you if you know the location of her tomb. Seeing as you rule over the dimensions of darkness, and our sources near Ahm have informed us that her soul is trapped in a dark dimension pocket, so it stands you may know where Litmet is right now.”

 

    Rho-Sho asks, “Why do you want Litmet?”

 

    Silver says, “To move her to a location where no mortal can get to her to wake her up.”

 

    Rho-Sho looks up to the east and says, “So you want Litmet not to wake up? It would seem you are too late as she heading this way right now as we speak.”
