- Ako Hidaki is disgusted, disgusted at what has been publically revealed yet was kept from her division, a division set up to combat Kaiju, yet here are these undead mecha abominations, born from a secret division using their research and that of the Mecha Unit. All their painstaking research secretly away to build these things, these horrific things.
- “Calm down,” says Dan as Ako storms from their labs.
- “No,” says Ako, “they knew, there is no way they’d be able to align the nanits and revive the dead tissue unless they knew I was right. Our research Dan, yours, mine and Erika’s as well as the whole department. They took it, called us liars to our faces, and then used it behind our backs to create these abominations rather than research ways to cure, prevent, or guide Kaiju evolution!”
- “Guide?” whispers Dan as Ako walks off.

- Ako stops short of Mr. Tomagaki’s office as there is a very loud man with a very deep voice inside.
- Speaking in a thick Russian accent inside is a semi-older man, perhaps mid fifties yet with the body of twenty something year old body builder, “You are thief!” screams the man, “You took my research, made these things. This…this not my design, this ugly, this evil!”
- He throws down a paper with a picture of a large mechanical saurian dragon man on it with notes and blue print drawings of various weapons, “you took, they took, and you took, parts of my design. You not make my master piece, you make things, ugly evil things. You…you make mockery of my work! I came to build ultimate weapon, you butcher it, stick parts on zombies! I quit!”
- The head scientist of the Mecha Unit, Ronald Borkowski storms from the room.
- Mr. Tomagaki sees Ako Hidaki standing there, “and what do you want miss Hidaki?”
- “I quit too,” she says standing as indignantly as possible, “you called me a liar to my face, and then took my research and made those things. You went behind my division, and obviously Mecha Division’s backs to do this. Well…looks like you lost both.”
- “There’d be other scientists,” scowls Mr. Tomagaki showing no sign of remorse losing two of the most brilliant minds in their fields from his employ.
- As Ako Hidaki leaves Mr. Tomagaki looks out the window and says, “You both already did your parts. We have the technology to make these freaks into weapons now, nothing can stop us.”

- *several weeks later*
- Mr. Tomagaki is leaving the office his own superior at the Oblivion Corporation, a very angry woman, especially as while they have made great strides his branch’s decisions to leave their top minds in the dark on project cyber, go behind their backs, and with their public reveal of the project cause them to quit and without any attempt to retain them has landed Mr. Tomagaki in hot water. His superiors words ring in his ears, all the progress they have made is nothing when it comes to the higher level Kaiju. On the letter scale based on durability, ability to defy biology and physics, strength, energy absorption/efficiency, and energy output potential their Cyber-saurs by this Kaiju standard would qualify has C-class, definitely able to handle the majority of Kaiju which are F and D class. They upgraded William the Dinosaur and The Colossal Alligator Man from C-class to B-class, and Black Tyrant from a B-class to the very impressive A-class. However more and more A-class and S-class Kaiju have been appearing, some of which based on their projections could easily destroy their “Cyber Tyrant” the most powerful weapon they currently possess in the war against the Kaiju; and yet he let go the two people who might have been able to study and mass produce these from three lucky breaks to an actual army.

- *a few months later*
- “Cyber-saur units move in!”
- The mechanical t-rex like robots swarm through the Arizona desert firing at the surprisingly fast Monstroso Grande, the giant bipedal Gila Monster with a row Stegosaur like skutes down its back and tail. While not especially large by Kaiju standards, standing about twenty feet tall, this creature with its scolding hot and acidic to boot yellow-green miasma breath, venomous bite, and appetite for penned up livestock has had a fairly large bounty on its head for some time now.
- “Lure it into sector G-1” comes the command over the radio.
- The cybernetic terror known as Ex-Tendo comes out from around a bend, the slightly larger cyborgs Kaiju shoots out an extending arm pushing Monstroso Grande back into a rock formation.
- “Watch the rocks,” comes the radio command, “this is a nature preserve, it will seriously harm our public image to destroy millions of years old rock formations.”
- “You have to be kidding me,” calls back, “hold on,”
- Ex-Tendo, the remote controlled cyborg pulls back its arm as Monstroso Grande’s miasma starts to eat away at the metal.
- “Better have the lab boys look into upgrading acid resistance.”
- As the Kaiju attempts to run its sent flying from a concussive blast originating from a Cyber-saur.
- “Monstroso Grande is down, I repeat Monstroso Grande is down, advise.”
- “Finish it off, but try to leave it in tact as much as possible, we might just have our fourth…what the hell?”
- The ground rumbles, rock piles collapse, as a massive creature hundreds of feet tall emerges from the ground and roars.
- “You have to be shitting me, how’d we not pick up Triterratops being in the area!?”
- The rather obese looking biped triceratops Kaiju looks around and roars, a rather weird sound like a bird call going through a rock tumbler.
- “take it down too!”
- Ex-tendo leaps into the air and uses fire breath, this has no effect on the monster known for spitting out lava bombs; which is does. The explosive sphere misses Ex-Tendo but detonates on the ground destroying three Cyber-Saur units. The explosive blast is enough to bring Monstroso Grande back to its senses and send it running from the sight of the much larger Kaiju.
- Ex-Tendo shots its claw hands out grabbing onto Triterratops’ left horn and swings across its face taking a shot at its eyes. The fire doesn’t even make it blink. The horns glow red, the heat exploding Ex-Tendo’s left hand leaving it dragging the extending arm as it falls to the ground on its back.
- “Retreat,” comes the order.
- Ex-Tendo jettisons its left arm completely as it makes a run for it with the remaining Cyber-Saur units, whose concussion blasts are used as cover fire, the blasts do nothing against the massive saurian creature other than anger it. A heat blast from its horns takes out two more Cyber-Saur units before the massive beast stops and looks away distracted by something else.
- “By God…” comes the voice over the radio, “what…is that?”
- Appearing as if from nowhere a never before seen Kaiju emerges. It has the biped saurian body frame although covered in red with purple accents exoskeletal armor plating. Its fat lizard tail ends in a diamond like stinger, its feet are five toed reptile feet with thick toes. Its chest…seems to sport mounds like a pair of metallic turtle shells imitating human breasts. It has a head like some hideous distortion of a human face mixed with a dinosaur, long red ears with a serrated edge along the bottom, and two backwards pointing black horns on its head. Its hands are like grappling hooks made of crab claws.
- “I am Mega Gargantua!” announces the Kaiju.
- “What…the…fuck?” says pretty much everyone controlling this operation.
- “Did…did…” says one man.
- “Yeah…it did….it talked…” says another.
- From its mouth and hands it shoots forth red electric like beams that cause Triterratops to roar and retreat into the ground as deep as it can go. Mega Gargantua stands over the quickly filling in massive tunnel and plunges its claw into the ground. A red glow and the ground shakes. Not far away Triterratops comes to the surface. It spits a lava bomb at Mega Gargantua, who actually knocks it away with a swat of its claw and charges at Triterratops. With a glowing claw it swats the dinosaurs head and sends it tumbling to the ground.
- “We need reinforcements,” comes a command, “this has gone completely outside the mission expectations.”
- “Let the DaiKaiju fight it out, we can figure this new one out later. We still have Monstroso Grande on radar, its heading towards a town nearby, intercept. Let the army deal with the dinosaurs.”
- Triterratops is lifted off the ground by Mega Gargantua, its heat blasts unable to aim straight down at its surprisingly strong attacker, and its shovel like claw hands and feet barely making the she-demon flinch. Her horns glow red as she looks up, as do her hands holding it. From her mouth and hands the red blasts are unleashed in earnest sending the dinosaur Kaiju flying into the air and landing some distance away with an earth shattering thud. She places her foot on its unconscious back and roars in triumph. She stops a moment later and shakes her head, putting one claw to it as though to try and focus. A second later Mega Gargantua’s entire body glow red with electric sparks and aura before vanishing. At least that’s how it looks to those watching from a distance, save for man who notices that in the monster’s place on the ground is a naked woman trying to flee the scene, a woman he recognizes as Ako Hidaki.

- The town had evacuated hours earlier when Monstroso Grande was sighted. The five remaining Cyber-Saur units and a one armed Ex-Tendo are met with an approaching aerial unit, a new pterosaur like mech called Laser Face. It doesn’t last long as an electric blast shoots from nowhere and destroys it.
- “What the hell just happened?”
- A massive black shadow appears.
- “OH dear sweet Mother of God…Nox-era! I repeat Nox-era is here!”
- This time it doesn’t appear to have the mechanical gauntlets, leg braces, or chest piece. Showing that much like its sister dragon queens its abdominal scale pattern goes up between its oddly mammalian cleavage and up its neck. She does still have the face guard and long hair which is whipping about. The massive Kaiju looks around as though confused, looking in the direction of Triterratops. It takes a few steps in that direction when suddenly some idiot behind a control hits the firing button making a Cyber-Saur shoot at her heel.
- “Oh shit,” says one of the men looking at the other at a thankfully far away control tent, “you just lost us several billion dollars in…the screens go blank as Nox-era smashes her fist down into the ground crushing the remaining Cyber-Saur units. Ex-Tendo luckily was further into the town pursuing Monstroso Grande.
- While on all fours Nox-era examines the area, showing her odd curiosity for human construction as she eyeballs the telephone wires, and tries to gently poke a house causing it to collapse like a sandcastle under her natural gargantuan force. She looks over turning her head to see Ex-Tendo smacking down Monstroso Grande. Contact is lost with Ex-Tendo as Nox-era leans up and with a minor shift in position for her smashes her fist down crushing the reanimated dinosaur kaiju. Her hand glows violet, a clear sign of what is to come, but never before seen used on such a small Kaiju, her energy drain which turns most organisms into pure energy as she absorbs them. Ex-Tendo is gone, converted to energy and consumed. Monstroso Grande makes a break for it, yet does not seem to interest Nox-era, as she stands, standing in a slightly hunched over position, her arms barely bent at the elbows, her claw hands pointed towards each other as if holding something. Noticeable now on the monitors of the scouts watching the battlefield from afar is that without the guards on her arms she has three spikes on each forearm. In this stance, like a woman pretending to be like a dinosaur she walks over to Triterratops lying unconscious. Her mouth guard opens, turning into the insectoid mandibles.
- “Yessss,” says one of the officers overlooking the operation, “finish it off you colossal bitch.”
- A female operator gives him a questioning look which he doesn’t notice.
- Her mandibles shift into tentacles and then merge back into her face, no longer a guard but showing her dark red all too human like lips against her dark scaled face. Surprising everyone her entire body ripples in color the dorsal scales turning a dark blue almost purple, the abdominals a blue, and her hair a deeper blackish blue.
- “Azuara?” says one of the men, “Is Nox-era the same Kaiju as Azuara?”
- “I doubt it,” says the officer, “the two act noting alike, the egg-heads back at base though think these dragon women might be related though.”
- Nox-era turns back to black and her face guard returns as she looks around and walks off in an odd direction. She lunges her claw down at the ground suddenly as though trying to grab something, her hand full of dirt she flies without using wings and takes off straight up before vanishing again.
- The officer crosses his arms, “Twelve Cyber-Saur units, one Laser Face unit, and even your precious Ex-Tendo.”
- “Sir,” says field operative O’beck of the DBC, “we set up this operation to eliminate and bring in Monstroso Grande. Which we nearly did…”
- “and..” says the officer in a tone shutting him up, “Triterratops, a talking Kaiju calling its self Mega Gargantua, and then Nox-era of all things showed up. So that what one B-class Kaiju, one S-class Kaiju, and this new one which looks like it’s either A or S shows up and your little tinker toys couldn’t adapt or hell even get away.”
- “Triterratops is down,” offers O’beck
- “oh, and what pray tell are you planning to do…drag the thirty thousand ton dinosaur out of the Arizona desert with your bare hands? Or maybe drop a nuke on it, because that worked out so well the last time someone tried it.”
- ******
- Far away on some island in the South Pacific Nox-era appears, something in her hand glowing red and breaking out of her grasp. The red sphere expands and Mega Gargantua emerges. It swings its tail at Nox-era who simply grabs it and swings the more massive Kaiju around in a circle before tossing her into the air. She opens her mandibles and lets out a spiral blue fiery blast hitting Mega Gargantua in mid-air, not too dis-simular to the attack she had used against Triterratops. Upon crashing onto the ground Mega Gargantua stands to face her attacker. Nox-era sprouts not shadow wings but numerous shadow tentacles from her back which wrap around Mega Gargantua and stun her with strange multi-colored energy waves.
- Nox-era retracts the shadow tentacles. Mega Gargantua glows and her body changes. Her armor, tail, and arms remain much the same except her frame changes; changes to that of a human like woman with small breasts, although in this case still unnatural purple domes like armor covering something softer. Her legs and arms more human, although still with the crab leg like grappling hook hands, the tail with the white diamond like tip is thinner although thick enough to look awkward on her back above her crab shell like buttocks. Her forearms still have a thick armor with a blade like dorsal crest as though her arms were some kind of armored claw gloves. Her feet smaller but still four claw toes like before. Her shoulders have upward pointed shell guards with little purple spheres like jewels in them. Her head has the biggest differences, her face is human like although stiff like a mask thanks to the armor with black pitiless eyes. She seems to have something akin to a hat like structure to her head with straight up shell guards up the sides of her head and smooth dome for the top of her head, and little pointed ears with the serrated edges beneath the odd semi-triangular yet rounded topped side of her head structures. She sees herself for a moment, a projection from Nox-era’s mind to see how much she has changed in form.
- “Beautiful,” thinks Mega Gargantua, “this…this is more like what I thought I’d become.”
- Nox-era just looks at her, hunches back over and heads into the sea, diving into the water, her tail forming spikes along its sides and a black webbing between them as she dives, with far less splash than something her size should make regardless of grace.
- “Can…could she understand me?” wanders Mega Gargantua, “I mean…I can still talk and think like a human while like…this…I was right wasn’t I…boss…you didn’t name these Kaiju…that tablet, that tablet he showed me was real.”

- Confused yet? Well you should be. Life is not like a movie, with a set beginning middle and end. There are no events in which small numbers of specific people play major roles and then are swept aside in sequels with some returning for continuity. Trying to piece together moments in the lives of people who play major roles in world events or those tied to the creation and execution of various projects to create such a scenario tends to create something rather… bits and pieces feeling. Unless one follows the daily grind, specific parts of a project, some drama, maybe follow some of these creations and Kaiju as they face lesser opponents. Like the Cyber-Saur and the three cyber kaiju units successfully taking down a wide variety of lower class Kaiju as they appear so quickly that society barely has time to give them names, or the publicity work and so forth. Even trying to stay focused on Ako Hidaki would be difficult, she worked on mutation and evolutionary biology with applications in medicine and bettering humanity; became fascinated with the Kaiju phenomenon, was hired on by DBC, worked there for a few years till her boss snuck around her, left, and became obsessed with the idea of human evolution.
- A strange fellow approached Ako not long ago, a man who worked with the team that went to Antarctica and “accidently” awoke Nox-era. He showed her a tablet older than any known civilization on Earth depicting the Kaiju known as the dragon queens, a tablet that had their names on it, which for those they claimed to dub wouldn’t have been so odd, if not for Pele being on it as well. It seemed to be a warning, a warning from an advanced civilization that also unleashed the power of quantum technology creating those Kaiju that predated the D-battery facilities. An obvious secret, a horror hidden right in front of humanity’s eyes, and why the extraction devices and D-batteries are so tight. The glowing liquid inside the D-batteries the raw power is none-toxic , and in fact if anyone were to drink it, it would turn them into a Kaiju.
- The evidence was there, and she was shown secret files. The Colossal Alligator Man was originally a D-battery mechanic who had gotten drunk and mistook a battery for a can of beer and forced it open to drink. Lucky him it wasn’t toxic like most fuels would have been, unlucky for him it turned him into a twenty five foot tall alligator man that would later be killed by the military and then revived as a mind controlled cyborgs. William the Dinosaur was actually a man named William, the DBC knew who this was, one of their own scientists proving a point, did so right in front of his superiors who knew the truth already. Black Tyrant was the result of a man named Yoshi Okinara trying to refine the D-battery creation method to limit the Grey Sludge and Grey Mist from forming that creates the more random Kaiju…a curious thing to Ako that they knew the byproduct was random and that the pure material created a form based on one’s subconscious, yet became an uncontrollable creature of rage and animal instinct.
- Ako would try to refine the material, for the purpose of creating what the tablet seemed to imply, superior beings, god like beings, the final stage of the process, and a way to get her revenge and save the world from the rampant emergence of Kaiju thanks to the DBC clearly not caring about what they are doing. She thought she had it perfect, before testing on herself. Without human subjects, which she would refuse to use anyway, it was hard to tell. In the end she was slightly off, she had created something with extra-dimensional mass abilities, a kind of transformation from herself into a massive creature, it was barely controllable, and not what she thought it was. She knew she was off, tried to refine it, but the beast wanted out, to rage, to destroy. She got lucky that Nox-era apparently hunted her down and for reasons she still doesn’t know altered her into what she had tried to gain in the first place. These three chapters were her story really, as best could be told with how boring the details are, not like there were any love interests, espionage, DBC agents chasing her or whatever. Although she is now stuck in the giant form of the sleeker version of Mega Gargantua, now renamed Ultra Gargantua upon her next appearance…an appearance as a talking Kaiju.
