  1.     Elsewhere a Canadian military base is scrambling, the alarm sounding and the speaker reporting,
  2.
  3.    *Nox-era has been spotted attacking the Barnes Ice Cap on Baffin Island, all units are to deploy immediately.*
  4.
  5.    One Air-man can be heard as they scramble into their flight gear, “Baffin island? How’d that thing get so far north with out being spotted?”
  6.

  8.
  9.     Nox-era, one of a handful of Kaiju that is the subject of much debate on many an online forum, social site, the news, and general conversation; as unlike most Kaiju this one looks very human. Standing three hundred and fifty feet tall it looks to be a woman with an athletic build wearing some sort of black dragon themed armor. Armor ridges along the exterior over the arms, shins, waist, with a layered blade like armor over the abdomen; she even has what appears to be a breast plate and armored boots. The softer sides; if they can be called as such are covered in black dragon scales; something that has those looking at her debating if this is armor or the creature’s flesh. The head appears to be wearing some sort of face guard completely covering the mouth and nose with almost pointed ear like blades over the side of the head and a guard above the eyes. Long jet black hair comes out the back and down the back ending at the small of the back. This “hair” is a most unusual feature as up close it’s more like freely moving shadow tendrils, morphing and moving about independently. In flight this hair quickly shifts, to the casual observer it would look to turn short while a massive pair of shadow like dragon wings appear. Up close however the hair fuses into the wings; even as they connect to the back. The debates rage on if this is a giant woman wearing armor, a very weird techno-organic mutation, or perhaps even a giant robot from a long forgotten civilization; something put forth by the fact that Nox-era was found in a hot lake beneath the Antarctic glaciers.
  10.
  11.     All of that is academic of course, especially to the brave pilots flying out to face this gargantuan armored monster. Out of all the Kaiju in the world she is listed as one of the most powerful and most mysterious; facts not lost on these pilots as they watch her attacking the Barnes Ice Cap. With its armored claw like hands outstretched dark energy bolts fire forth from the air before the palm blasting at random bits of the ice and snow. The giant leans down and picks up a chunk of ice, lifting it to her face. Her mouth guard opens like the mandibles of some strange insect; inside is a face covered in black scales and pair of dark lips. The mouth opens, a blue energy, almost like what one may imagine a liquid fire to look like flows out of the mouth and fills it as she takes the ice to her mouth and consumes it.
  12.
  13.     “We are a go,” comes the voices of the pilots as they get the all clear sign to engage.
  14.
  15.    Missiles fire exploding on the creature’s body; apparently causing her to drop the ice and her mouth guard to close. Her eyes glow red and the ear like extensions extend out, a sign the world has to come to know means it’s angry. The armor along the forearm opens, quill like energy spikes emerged and glow as she extends her hand; this time instead of dark energy darts a spiral of blue flame is the last thing three pilots see as their jets are consumed like paper in the twisting inferno. The battle goes on like this, in the end seventeen pilots lose their lives before Nox-era extends her wings, as blades appear along the length of her whip like tail forming a kind of leaf-fan and flies into the atmosphere. Radar tracks her, but then her signal vanishes.
  16.
  17.    “Damn it!” screams the general watching the radar screen, “every time that monster just vanishes!”

  21.    Elsewhere Ako, Dan, and Erika are silent, their tests from samples that were very hard to come by are done. A project to categorize Kaiju by genetic type to find similarities to aid in forming a universal defense against them. They are silent because of the results, all the Kaiju over a class-5 (those that pass the three cubed law limit on size) and defy physics simply by existing, all have DNA indicating a human origin; that is all they have samples of. Empress Scorpio from Africa, William the Dinosaur from America, Black Tyrant from America, The Colossal Alligator Man from America, and Destructice from Europe; two of these don’t even look remotely human William the Dinosaur and Black Tyrant are distinctly saurian creatures. It makes no sense, surely not all the DaiKaiju come from humans, while yes Nuwa-Gara, Shogonna, and Nox-era look human, there are those like Arcollossus which looks like a sea turtle, Cerberus a dog, and others.
  22.
  23.    “Well,” says Dan breaking the silence, “we have had human Kaiju that are human sized like those folks trying to play superhero and supervillain…so…it’s not like we didn’t see it coming…”
  24.
  25.    These are not the thoughts Ako was having, but yes, small and large Kaiju exist, most of the larger ones do have a somewhat humanoid shape, but it’s not like humans are anything special. Problem is for every Arcollossus or Sharkalypse there are at least five to ten examples of normal sized kaiju, these five samples being human already makes the number of humans that became kaiju in the majority for turning giant vs staying a more mundane size; and at least two of the three known human Kaiju were showing signs of growing larger before they were taken down.

  30.     *Somewhere in Nevada at a top secret Military Base*
  31.
  32.     “This way general,” says Mr. Horoshi, “we here at DBC have developed the latest in anti-Kaiju weaponry.”
  33.
  34.    The general looks less than amused as the DBC scientist shows him out onto a platform overlooking a very large hanger, with a few drill cannons, plasma lightning tanks, and other fancy weapons that while impressive have done no better against Kaiju than contemporary weaponry. He raises an eyebrow as something walks out into the hanger, a white robot T-rex with oversized insect like compound eyes, a small backpack like structure on its back, and cube spines down either side of the dorsal side of its tail.
  35.
  36.    “Your new weapon,” says the general arms crossed, “is a toy dinosaur?”
  37.
  38.   “We have found,” says Mr. Horoshi, “that Kaiju tend to respond to other Kaiju, this weapon’s appearance is meant to draw their attention away from the plants and of course populated areas. Their territorial instincts over-ride whatever it is driving them to attack plants and other lesser power stations and sources. Naturally general these weapons are…weapons.”
  39.
  40.    Mr. Horoshi picks up an intercom, “show our guest what this weapon can do.”
  41.
  42.    An armored plate is wheeled out, the robot opens its mouth and breaths fire on it after emitting a mechanical roar. The general is not impressed.
  43.
  44.    “That is just to get their attention,” says Mr. Horoshi.
  45.
  46.   The robot’s tail glows with a blue fiery energy being emitted by the cube structures on it. It leaps into the air, spins and slices as well as smashes through the metal plate.
  47.
  48.    “The spirit flame tail smack,” says Mr. Horoshi, “a raw D-energy based attack, and we also have compound photon weaponry.”
  49.
  50.    The general is wide eyed as this new weapon Mr. Horoshi mentioned was still experimental, and it was lucky that the cannon worked that was used to take down Black Tyrant.
  51.
  52.   The robot reveals two tiny (for its size) old school magnet shaped guns on polls from its back pack that shoot out red compound photon beams that easily cut through what remains of the plate.
  53.
  54.   “Now for the big guns,” says Mr. Horoshi, “the concussion blasts.”
  55.
  56.   The compound eyes glow red, red dots of compound photon floating up and joining into two large spheres above the head before blasting forth a massive red beam each that obliterates the wall and a good chunk of the floor.
  57.
  58.   “Impressive,” says the general, “so this robot is your…holy grail weapon then?”
  59.
  60.   “Not at all,” says Mr. Horoshi, “this is only one unit, we call them Cyber-saurs, a squad of these machines could take down a pack of Kaiju of the same class as that Black Tyrant. With some more funding from the military we could develop flying units and digging units to lead assaults on the DaiKaiju…er…the upper level Kaiju.”
  61.
  62.    “My superiors,” says the general, “and the committee will need to see a full demonstration of these weapons in action of course, outside, and working as a unit. However I am most impressed, not sure how impressed those who have seen combat with the Kaiju will be. A metal plate doesn’t compare to the scales on those Kaiju we’ve been fighting lately.”
  63.
  64.      ******
  65.
  66.      *A few weeks later. The Nevada desert, day time: a number of high ranking military personnel are seated high up on a ridge far away from the testing site. Confused as to why they’d be so far away from the demonstration zone of these “Cyber-Saur” units.
  67.
  68.     Before too long several very large metal containers are brought via very large trucks and tracks onto the demonstration grounds, massive containers causing some to murmur that the DBC might have live Kaiju for the demonstration, and that is why they are so far away. They see a unit of the Cyber-saurs, a dozen of them walking about the field as the vehicles are quick to leave the area. A collective gasp escapes them as the three crates open. Out of one steps what is clearly William the Dinosaur, except that its skin is a grey color instead of violet and its arms have been replaced by some mechanical abominations, that are square at the top with what looks like a tubeing that can collapse or extend for arms connected to oversized clawed quasi-human like hands. Out of the second the Kaiju known as The Colossal Alligator Man, except it is wearing shorts and both arms have been replaced with cybernetics, the right one a normal looking arm, save for the metal and mechanical parts, and the left with a hand on its end with two giant metal blades instead of fingers. The third is Black Tyrant, looking almost the same except that the wings are now folding metal blades imitating feathers, the eyes have glass like plates on them, and a drill replacing its tail as well as the right hand being metal with odd ridges on the arm.
  69.
  70.    Mr. Horoshi steps before the men, “I give you the true face of project Cyber, through the use of D-battery technology and nanite enhanced cybernetics we have both enhanced and turned to our side these fallen Kaiju. The Cyber-saurs are the soldiers, these are their commanding officers…or rather the head of the packs as we lead them up against other Kaiju. Although how specifically we pulled this off is a bit technical, the results are Kaiju enhanced with technology that are at our and of course your disposal to protect and eradicate Kaiju, easily able to overpower the basic Kaiju and as the math shows as a unit capable of taking down a DaiKaiju.”
  71.
  72.   “I’ll believe that when I see it,” murmurs someone in the group.
  73.
  74.   “A demonstration then!” announces Mr. Horoshi.
  75.
  76.   At first they show the Cyber-saurs taking down prop vehicles and targets. Then the real show.
  77.
  78.   “Once it was the poorly named William the Dinosaur,” announces Mr. Horoshi, “we have with a new purpose given this and the others better names, for this one is now Ex-Tendo!”
  79.
  80.   Ex-Tendo steps forward and breaths fire just as it did while alive before rearing up and extending its tube arms like some stretchy superhero and crushing and grabbing targets with its metal claw hands.
  81.
  82.   “Where once was The Colossal Alligator Man is now Repton!”
  83.
  84.   Repton leaps high into the air fighting with human martial arts moves it never knew in life, punching with the right hand and slashing with the left. The ground shakes as it unleashes a Chi-energy wave through the ground like waves of energy from its twin blades left hand.
  85.
  86.   “No longer the Black Tyrnat, it is now Cyber Tyrant!”
  87.
  88.   Cyber Tyrant uses the black fire, black spiral beams, and horn beam it had in life before showing off a drill plasma beam from the tail while in flight and its right arm opening up as three segments with a cannon barrel coming out between them that fires a deafening plasma beam.
  89.
  90.    “The Kaiju will follow these away from populated areas and plants,” says Mr. Horoshi, “only to be eliminated by what was once their own kind.”
  91.
  92.    There is applause all around, with only one or two wandering what the public reaction would be to using undead cyborgs monsters to fight other monsters.
