  1.      ♪hmmm, hmmm

  3.    Beeeateeee♪
  4.     *hmmm, hmmm, hmmm*
  5.    ♪hmmm, hmmm
  6.    Captain! Bea-teee, Caaa-p-tiiin
  7.    Beeeateeee♪
  8.      “Captain! Captain Betty!”
  9.
  10.    *hmmm…hmmm?”
  11.
  12.     “What?”
  13.
  14.     “Captain Betty?” repeats the semi-high pitched voice.
  15.
  16.    *slam*
  17.
  18.    the faux-wood door to the cabin of Captain Betty slams open squashing the source of the voice behind the door, stepping out is a woman who one might think was going to a cos-play convention as a pirate. An over the top orange and red pirate’s outfit with earth-tone orange boots and gloves. Hanging on her left hip is a scabbard with a rapier sword hilt sticking out of it, on her right hip a…gun, of sorts; a pistol with a musket barrel, more cartoony looking than functional.
  19.
  20.     A confused look adorns her pale delicate face and crystal blue eyes with their nearly invisible blond eyebrow strips. Her blond hair may look short but upon closer inspection it’s tied up under her large orange pirate’s hat complete with Jolly Rodger emblem.
  21.
  22.       “Well?” she says in her all too cute to be a pirate voice.
  23.
  24.     “boosss” comes the weak voice from behind the door.
  25.
  26.    “oh”, she says while moving the door over to reveal…a small cartoon mouse wearing pirate cloths…sure why not.
  27.
  28.     “Well?” she says, “Why are you interrupting my me time?”
  29.
  30.    The little foot tall creature jumps up as though it had never been smashed behind the door in typical toon manner and salutes her, “Captain Betty, our scanners show we are nearing the border to Other World.”
  31.
  32.    “Good work private squeaks the fifth.”
  33.
  34.    With a broad smile and an exaggerated untouched tip of the hat she heads down the hall, which while on the surface may look like wood, has a sense to it that it belongs in a videogame, a fakeness, a smoothness that doesn’t belong on anything real.
  35.
  36.     On the deck she is greeted by the cheers of other small cartoon pirate mice, and one surely peg legged cat with a bushy white mustache. A thin cartoon rat salutes her, “Captain Betty,”
  37.
  38.    “CAPTAIN BETTY!” they all salute.
  39.
  40.    Hands up waving them silent, “My crew, the Adorables, we have journey across the multiverse!” she geastures to the speeding by blue streaks around the ship, “Between Universes! We are the bane of the Angels of the Royal City, we are the most feared pirates of all Nirvana.”
  41.
  42.     “Yaaaaaaaa!” the crew screams in applause.
  43.
  44.    “Now Today;” she says, “We journey to the universe of the sister of our goddess, to the worlds of Ro-Ko-Naka! We journey to pillage, to plunder, and have a ball!”
  45.
  46.      “woooooo!” they yell happily.
  47.
  48.     “Who knows what freaky, deaky, monster gods the chaotic goddess’s world has. But they will never know what hit them.”
  49.
  50.     She pulls out an old looking map; on it one could see a blue ball at the bottom, with a green ball directly above it, to its right is a flat line that looks cracked up in places, and to its left a flat solid line. She impossibly clicks on what one would have thought was a piece of paper highlighting the line on the left of the green ball.
  51.
  52.    The golden sails with their hexagonal plates flutter forward as the ship continues through the blue space, the map changes to bring up the surface of the line.
  53.
  54.     She clicks again on an island on the east coast of the northern continent of the large twin continents on the far eastern end of the flat world.
  55.
  56.     “Adorables!” she yells out, “We are going on a treasure hunt!”
  57.
  58.     “yaaaaaaa!” they all scream in their high pitched now overly excited voices.
  59.
  60.    “I have it on good authority…my si…*cough* I mean the Oracle of the Royal City tells me there is a golden treasure on this, this,” she crooks her head looking at the map, “kinda, uhh, island I guess, I guess these are thin sea ways around it and then open sea next to this much bigger island. So yes! Its an island with treasure; a great grand golden treasure adventurer, on an island with jungles, and monsters, and local what ever this chaos universe of Other World has to offer!”
  61.
  62.    “Uh, captain?” says a fat cartoon mouse with an eye patch in an unusual deeper voice than his crew mates.
  63.
  64.    “Hmm, yes first mate Mousy?” she says, “I am kinda in the middle of a
  65. speech…sheesh.”
  66.
  67.    “Uh no offense captain, but that island is on a northern continent. My scout team deduced that like its…void universe counter parts it too is a temperate zone. As such it has no jungles, but rather thick forests. No cities, no towns even. The forests of this world are filled with many dangerous predators.”
  68.
  69.    She waves her hand, “fine, fine, whatever…sheesh” she rolls her eyes, “My Adorables, it’s a…forested island of golden treasure.”
  70.
  71.     *Captain Betty, Captain Betty, Captain Betty*, ect… the crew chants as Captain Betty blows kisses and heads to the big wheel, with a push of a few unseen buttons that are only seen when they light from her touch on the wheel and pressing her palm in the middle, which doesn’t seem to mind that she’s wearing thick gloves, a hole in the blueness opens up in front of them.
  72.
  73.    The large pink on the sides, but normal wood looking on the deck ship with its large white printed name of “Addy”, lands in the waters as the sun is rising.
  74.
  75.    She looks at the sky, “sun? did we land in the wrong place.”
  76.
  77.    “No,” says First Mate Mousy, “The sun is an illusion made by a satellite. We are on Aesperia. We landed just off shore to the west of the island. The locals call it Los Rodos.”
  78.
  79.     Elsewhere across the infinite of the multi-verse:
  80.
  81.     Sterile White hallways, smooth walls, and people wearing uniforms made from no natural occurring material, with badges. Various outfits, various colors, yet clearly not outrageous costumes, these are uniforms, scholarly, and battle garments of upholders of the law. There are two women who might have been thought to stand out, if not for another guy walking in the opposite direction down the hall in an outfit looking to be the combination of a policemen’s uniform from an A-typical contemporary material world circa the twentieth century, USA, and the vest and ragged jeans of a punk. His hair would seem to suggest the latter given its impossibly high red spikes with yellow streaks.
  82.
  83.    The two women are twins, Chinese in appearance wearing the dresses of their apparent cultural back ground. Both have their hair up in buns, and their dresses match in design, slit up the sides of the legs, and the sleeves slit at the shoulders. The only difference is the woman with the stern face is wearing white, while the woman who is actually skipping down the hall with a goofy grin is wearing pink.
  84.
  85.     “Stop skipping KiKi.” Says the woman in white.
  86.
  87.    The woman in pink stops, crooking her head like a confused dog, “LeeLee?”
  88.
  89.     With a shake of the head and sigh LeeLee says, “Have you already forgotten?”
  90.
  91.    “huh?” says KiKi moving her head from shoulder to shoulder, “forgotten what? Aren’t we going home?”
  92.
  93.    “No, the chief wants to see us, I just told you that five minutes ago.”
  94.
  95.    “aaaaawwww, but I wanna go home. We just got back from a mission, why do we have to talk to the chief?” The pink clad KiKi pouts, knowing, despite her demeanor, that talking to the chief means being sent on another mission.
  96.
  97.     LeeLee doesn’t bother to answer; another scolding of her sister for her attitude would be unprofessional in the grand halls of the home office of the Dimension Police.
  98.
  99.    After a few more halls they enter a pair of large sliding doors off the hallway lined with grass, a brick pathway with an illusion of hills on either side projected on the walls giving what is actually a normal sized office the impression of being outside. Something the chief of the Dimension Police sitting at his, what to the scenery looks like an out of place desk, greatly appreciates, especially as the projections are real time images from a sub-space environmental agricultural facility right there in the home office, in fact the cube containing that subspace is sitting on his desk like a paperweight.
  100.
  101.     The two of then stand saluting quickly before standing silently, even KiKi.
  102.
  103.    “LeeLee, KiKi,” says the dog faced man, “I know this is short notice, especially as you just returned from your successful mission to apprehend the infamous criminal Hydran.”
  104.
  105.     He clicks a button summoning a screen behind him of a planet.
  106.
  107.    “Your next mission is of great importance, we have reason to suspect a dangerous pirate who has been attacking shipping vessels and cruise lines across several realities has gone to this planet.”
  108.
  109.     “Earth?” asks LeeLee.
  110.
  111.    “ooooh,” coos KiKi, “I love the border you put on the pic sir, that rocky border with the fluffy clouds looks so nice, can you please send me a copy of that file?”
  112.
  113.     “That,” he says, “Is not any Earth you have been too, and that is not a border.”
  114.
  115.     He clicks another button rotating the image side ways showing the world is inside a massive planet surface sized valley between the barren rock borders, of what looks like a giant sake dish to them.
  116.
  117.     “This world,” he says, “Is called Aesperia. We believe this criminal…”
  118.
  119.     He clicks another button with a side image showing the orange clad Captain Betty, “has fled with her crew here in search of treasure. Our informants intercepted a transmission between her and the dangerous chaotic entity known as The Thing Named Jim, he gave her a guide map to direct her ship to anywhere in this extremely hostile pocket universe she wants to go.”
  120.
  121.    “But why would Betty go treasure hunting?” asks KiKi scratching her head.
  122.
  123.     “shhhh!” hushes LeeLee, “sorry sir.”
  124.
  125.    “Excuse me?” he says eying the two of them, “do you know the target?”
  126.
  127.    “Uh, well sir,” says LeeLee, “Our parents and her’s are good friends, we would visit her as children and play. If we are correct she would then be Betty the Baroness, of Royal City, Nirvana.”
  128.
  129.     “hmmm.” He says while turning off the instruments, “In that case there is no need to hide the truth.”
  130.
  131.    “Huh?” says KiKi genuinely confused. Her sister LeeLee doesn’t show it but she too is concerned.
  132.
  133.    “Her pirate activities,” says the chief, “are of no real concern to the Dimension Police, as far as those she steals from, and her own kind are concerned she is a rebellious child. Her illustrious family has asked us to bring her back. Her recent…rampage of criminal activity across different dimensions and realities is viewed by them as a cover to move further and further away from their grasp so as to avoid an arranged marriage.”
  134.
  135.      “OOOOH!” screeches KiKi clapping her hands, “Betty’s getting married?! Oh I hope she invites us!”
  136.
  137.     “Invites us?” scolds LeeLee, “KiKi, don’t you get it. We’re being sent to escort her, by force is necessary back to Nirvana to get married.”
  138.
  139.    “Oh…” says KiKi with downcast eyes, looking over to the chief with her sad expression.
  140.
  141.    *cough*, “well…yes.” He says, “You are correct agent. You are to escort her back to the Royal City in Nirvana, you are authorized to destroy her ship and arrest her crew if necessary.”
  142.
  143.     He notices LeeLee has a question forming on her face, holding up his hand he says, “Before you ask, the reason the nobles of Nirvana aren’t sending their own people after her, is because she has made this a very sensitive situation now. While the world she went too is considered something of a nature reserve by the high officials of that pocket universe, it would be considered an act of war to the Suihrai if the military of Nirvana invaded that space.”
  144.
  145.    LeeLee narrows her eyes at the map, the only thing that wasn’t turned off when the chief took down the other projections and equipment in the room that might transmit the conversation to any outsiders.
  146.
  147.    “Please tell me that’s not where I think it is…sir.”
  148.
  149.    “It is,” he says, “Aesperia is located in Other World.”
  150.
  151.    With mission specks in hand and a bow, the twin sisters head out on their mission,
  152.
  153. 1: sneak into Other World,
  154.
  155. 2: try not to cause an inter-dimensional incident,
  156.
  157. 3: capture Betty the Baroness AKA Captain Betty and return her to the
  158. Royal City in her own universe as soon as possible.
  159.
  160. 4: Failure is not an option
  161.
  162.    Dimension Police Elite agents: LeeLee & KiKi are GO!
