  1.     It has been months since the creature Arcollossus now officially being called a “Kaiju” thanks to the internet and news media grabbing the name used in giant monster movies, especially as it did rampage into a major city, caused massive destruction, and was immune to modern weaponry. In this time contact has been lost with the giant turtle in the Atlantic last spotted somewhere off of Africa’s Ivory Coast. However eyes should be turned to the Pacific as not far off of Johnston Island a secret operation by a subsidiary of the Oblivion corporation working with samples taken from the infertile eggs of Arcollossus is about to have an accident.

  3.     A storm and sea well shakes the vessel, parked out in international waters yet close to its military backers to conduct their research far away from prying eyes. The egg samples are not the only things on board, a grey sludge is being tested with the eggs, to determine a relation if any between them. The storm shakes the ship causing samples to fall off the tables and mix in uncontrolled amounts. An alarm is sounded for contamination and in what has to be an insane design the room is flushed, the mixed substances going into a holding tank below the lab, unfortunately the storm has caused a crane for submersible on deck to break off and crash into the side creating just enough of a breach for the mixed substances to leak into the open ocean.

  8.      A terror arose in the high seas in the months to follow a monstrous beast defying biology and reason. A two hundred foot long shark with the arms and legs of a fan, save for the three toes and three fingers with webbing between them hands and feet, and of course the shark skin. This beast even had an oddly flexible neck that just looked all kinds of wrong when it bent it upon its rampage through Johnston Island. Like Arcollossus before it this Kaiju has proven immune to conventional weaponry. Shortly after its retreat into the pacific the world would dub this monster (Sharkalypse) some because the name sounds cool and others claiming it’s a sign of the apocalypse rising from the ocean. News of this beast would become almost secondary as in Central Park in New York city the monster Polymoebial would arise spawning all sorts of reactions and conspiracy theories as no forces go after it and it doesn’t attack anyone quickly resting back to the bottom of a pond in Central Park, that however is a story for another day.

  10.    The alert is sounded on the main island of Hawaii, Honolulu, Sharkalypse has been spotted heading towards the island. People scramble to the airports, to the ship yards, inland. Prayers to every god known to man could be heard in homes that night. The military stands read as the back of the great blue beast breaks the shallower waters. It is on all fours poised like some ginormous frog. The ground shakes and the waves crack as the beast does what should be impossible, it leaps out of the water, landing on the shore it crushes homes, streets, kicking up dust and debris. The beast stands on its hind feet bending its neck and tail and horrifically un-natural angles.
  11.
  12.   The screams of the people and the guns of the military sudden halt, as does Sharkalypse as an earthquake shakes the island followed by a sound like a cross between a woman’s shriek and the cry of an eagle. From the volcano a massive form rises, a dark almost blood red body covered in dragon scales, the shape of a woman only stiff with no signs of softness to her. Her hands and feet are as talons, claws as black as onyx. Upon her back a pair of monstrously huge wings whose thickness does not seem to be conducive for flight, more like lava rock with flames around the bottom edge, in shape between that of a dragon and a pterosaur. Between her legs and these massive wings a short fan like tail. Despite her body’s lithe form her face is something square in what pop culture has dubbed the uncanny valley. A ridged structure with no nose, no real lips with a stiff slit for a mouth, and a pair of oversized unblinking black as the devil’s soul eyes. The back of its head seems to sport the only softness of its entire form, a short plume of red feathers with black tips.
  13.
  14.   The people cry “Pele” after the volcano goddess, and the name sticks. The creature now called Pele spreads her wings, releasing a hot wind over the land. The people run for cover as blasts of air snake through the island, some will claim an army of ghosts despite scientists trying to explain the phenomenon of Heat Bursts. With a cry like a dying phantom and an eagle’s anger Pele takes to the air. Sharkalypse winces at the hot air blasting into its body drying it. Pele lands. It does not attack, it just stands there like an unfeeling statue at one end of the beach. Sharkalypse “growls” as best the weird rumbling sound it makes can be described, and thrashes about as if trying to look threatening. Even going to all fours and “growling” up at Pele. As the military watches from off shore Sharkalypse leaps high into the air, clearly intent to land on Pele. Now the bird-dragon-woman creature from the depths of the volcano moves, spreading her wings she unleashes a hell storm from their surface and her body, and one eye witness swears even a beam from her mouth. What comes down is not so much Sharkalypse as a deeply cooked fish. The force of the blast preventing it from actually landing on her; instead land half on the shore, half in the water. With little more action Pele rises again and returns to the depths of the volcano.

  16.    Although it would be comical and a few wealthy locals and hotel owners tried to pay off officials to do so, no one got to eat any mutated shark meat. The military declared the area contaminated and cleaned up the body, worried about the sea life and sea gulls that had already been feeding on the corpse. The volcano too would be declared off limits. However just as with the century’s worth of research before it, no new investigation shows any sign of the monster in the depths of the volcano. A large number of news stations and internet sites would even declare it a hoax, that the government is covering up some new weapon, like a Nuclear Bomb-Beam used in an American state to fight a Kaiju. Some even going so far as to scoff at the notion of a Kaiju resembling a human woman to any degree, that it was real was either a goddess or a demon from revelations. Oh the number of people worldwide who would feed off that for hysteria.
  17.
  18.   Between this and the one in Central Park the government has grown concerned over the existence of not only more giant animals like Arcollossus and Sharkalypse but the chances of possibly sentient monsters lying in wait. Although during the next few years the only new Kaiju to emerge would be much smaller, and while not easily, would be taken care of by military forces, lulling the world it seems into a false sense of security.
