  1.     Time makes fools of us all, those who were there record events from their separate points of view, attempting to keep the records as accurate and safe as they can. Yet as time goes on details are lost, details are exaggerated, natural disasters, wars, changes in ideology intentionally erasing the past, and mankind comes to doubt the legitimacy of the past. Those details that remain the descendents of those record keepers combine as best they can based on what they know and believe, taking what they like and can accept to form a new truth. As time marches on the origin of these details lies in question as new histories are born sending them to the place of fiction or outright claimed to be lies thanks to the loss. Snippets changed based on what is liked, distorted as fiction and fantasy can only be, before being lost altogether, some small parts may remain for a time as part of a culture their origins lost or nearly forgotten before time erases them completely. By this time anything of great importance had already been lost for centuries or millennia.

  3.    It is such that history becomes legend becomes myth becomes folktales/superstitions becomes fables becomes ancient fiction/nonsense becomes nothingness. It is because of this that the majority of human history has been lost. Biologically humans have remained about the same for two hundred thousand years, some even showing signs of larger brain capacity with isolated populations of incredibly intelligent, small, or giant individuals. So how is that mankind believes that in two hundred millennia that it was only in the last six to ten that humans developed houses, writing, boats, and mastered fire? A lack of evidence? No signs of complex materials, no signs of advanced buildings, no signs of mining or mineral upheavals?  We know now how quickly nature can reclaim these things, how quickly our cities would be consumed by the forests and deserts, how natural disasters can without rebuilding erase whole traces of cities and civilizations.

  5.     As unbelievable as it may seem not only has past advanced cultures existed, humanity is in fact entering its fifth quantum age. The last four have not ended well; the fourth age in fact is where we begin. If anything can be said to be unique of the current age it is the existence of mass international communication and power technologies, as despite all of humanity’s differences and wars they have actually embraced the concepts of consumer culture and information exchange to a far greater degree than any before them. Humans have seldom been even remotely trusting creatures, so many so intent on exterminating everything different from themselves, producing horrific weapons to this effect and breaching the very laws of physics.
  6.
  7.    So it was that a great war, the Hexian war broke out during the third quantum age of man. A war to lay claim to the Hexian power, the power from between universes, the raw energy, its power to enhance life, and the terrible things that could be summoned from across the void as instruments of war. Some saw it as an ideological horror that needed wiped from existence, others as a scientific power source, others as only a weapon, and to some the power to transform the world in its next evolutionary step. Golems, Mechanical Nightmares, Mutations, Weapons of Mass Destruction, and Mystical Beasts summoned from another dimension. The Hexian War brought about changes to the very landscape of the world, annihilated entire civilizations from existence, the powers awakened and unleashed were beyond the control of those who brought them forth.

  9.      It is here that Azuara the demoness of the sea, a grand being from a mystical world found her way from her own dimension to be summoned to the Earth and used as a weapon. She was like so many of her ilk, who were lied to about being returned home if they fought for those who summoned them, as the summoners knew of no way to return them. The blood of tens of thousands on her claw, guilty and innocent erased in the wake of her rage during the war, and the promise of being returned to her blue and green paradise naught but a lie. Her and the other great summoned beasts ceased their aggressions against each other and turned on what remained of lying tiny creatures known as humans, wiping out what remained of their civilization, their rage recorded only in geological history as natural disasters, nearly exterminating humanity, a tiny cluster in a tiny corner left alive for being missed. Not knowing the history behind this, an alien power knew only that great forces from a foreign dimension were causing extinction level events on a seemingly helpless variant of the planet Earth. These alien powers called upon an inter-dimensional force, a being whose mastery of the dimensional power rivals those called Eldritch Horrors by most. This power, although tiny to the creatures wielded the power to return them home, yet knew not of this need. No instead the alien power that called the being hence paid the being only to seal them away so that humanity could rebuild their world. The being however was no friend of the alien powers that called the being forth as they had tried on numerous occasions to seal these very being themselves nor cared much for humans, so laid a seed of destruction in the seals, an act of pure mischief as such a being thinks of as mischief.

  11.    So it was that a fourth quantum age came and went, destroyed by a very similar war yet one fought between two factions only; technology vs magic; an ideological war in a world with a long history of barbarism. Many ages would come and go, most forgotten by the sands of time, all the while those in the seals slept, their seals weakening, causing strange effects to the planet’s atmosphere, crust, local psychic waves, magical fluxes, birthing monsters from their “exotic radiation”, and numerous other strange influences and effects. Not one of these reaching a level that could be called a new world wide quantum age, that is until now, with the worst possible timing, as now the seals crack, one that has broken brings forth Azuara.

  14.
  15.     Her name is Azuara, priestess of the waves, youngest sister of the Dragon Queens and only older than one of her brothers the Dragon Kings. Children of the lords of their world, created in the image of their gods and given mastery over all its creatures and dominion over its elemental realms. Upon this world she and her siblings were regarded as gods by the locals, creatures so alien to human experience that to describe them in sufficient detail as to be imagined properly by a human could take dozens if not hundreds of pages of text. Azuara lead a charmed life, as the least combative of her siblings save for one brother she spent her time being praised and worshipped as the guardian of the calm and peaceful south seas. Suffice it to say the day she found herself ripped from her world to this strange heavy world and was mentally communicated with by the tiny creatures that bore such a resemblance to her kin yet were so ugly to her, for the purpose of fighting was the worst day she ever had. The promise was all that kept her sane, the promise and memory of her paradise, not this foul world with these others and the dirtying her claws on stone and metal constructs.
  16.
  17.    Rage, sorrow, the loss of hope, these things can make a demon out of almost anyone, especially when those stripping away that hope are doing so by breaking a promise, a promise that forced sin upon a priestess of divine origin, sin by the promise of tiny squishy things that regarded her as an ultimate weapon. What defense they thought they had to invoke a goddess’ wrath may have only been hubris as they were laid to ash and dust before her. The light came, the strange symbols from the sky commanded by an unknown entity with a commanding voice; sleep. A sleep of awareness at times, dreams at others and lost time uncounted unknown. She only knew that she would dream and awake to darkness with a body that would not move, humming in her solitude to ease her own pain.
  18.
  19.   That is when the day came, awake, she was awake, the seal was gone, freedom. Free to swim the seas and sing her happiness. The world had changed, she could not sense the others, the air was not filled with the foul distortions of the Hexian power, at least nowhere near to the same degree. The weird tiny things so like her kind yet so alien remained, remained but were different. She saw them, watched them a bit, she knew not how long she had rested, long enough it seems that none could not speak to her mind as before, they were weaker now to her song. If she could not have her home back, she would make a new one. She sang, and they obeyed, the tiny things brought her offerings as the beings back home would. Some would try to attack her, with weapons that could barely sting her scales at their best. Nothing like what these creatures once wielded as weapons. She might come to like this new world, such a shame though her language alone seems to drive them mad or otherwise adversely affect them; it is curious what has changed in them while she was asleep to make these weak things even weaker.
