  1. If there are any concerns I'm usually in the IRC, if not then you may contact me on skype under the name "RatChief". Alternatively, ask the co-head artists if there are any concerns.

  9. FAQ:
  10.
  11.                Q: I want to join but it seems like you already have a lot of artists and I'm not that skilled.
  12.
  13. A: If you really want to help out then we'll be glad to have you. Also, I'm willing to guide anyone that has any problem in any specific areas. You may also get critique from me in the IRC.
  14.
  15. Remember, If you want to be a part of the art team then you have to contact us. We aren't really looking for anymore artists right now but will fit you in somewhere if you are willing to participate.
  16.
  17.                Q: How do I go about joining?
  18.
  19. A: Contact me on Skype or the IRC and tell me what you want to do. If you can, leave me some alternate contact info if you can't be in the IRC or Skype often for whatever reason. I'm banned on 4chan for a long while so I can't drop in the threads now.
  20.
  21.                Q: Are there any prerequisites?
  22.
  23. A: It depends on the position you want, really. For any position, I might suggest you buy a tablet and study composition. Also, I would also like you to familiarize yourself with how vectoring, making puppets work, and pretty much the format of flash itself (You don't have to know how to do it, just know how it works.)
  24. For more specific positions, I would like the concept artists to know how to make a concept art sheet presentable. Storyboard artists need to know basic terms like panning, focusing, blurring, etc. If you don't draw that well and want to be a storyboard artist, be good at explaining and getting points across. For vector artists and people working on the animatic, I would like you to know how to use Flash and Illustrator in depth. There are hundreds of tutorials you can watch/read online.
  25.
  26.                Q: Now that there's pretty much only writing meetings going on, what should I do?
  27.
  28. A: If possible, keep discussing with the writers for this project. Our aim here is to translate whatever they discuss into the form of visual art, however keep the meeting rules in mind. ( https://docs.google.com/document/d/1h17Rl00h97r8hucNp4nAkxpWJ0pu3vVtf1xnI0YUSSM/edit ) You don't even need to contribute, just being there to see and understand what the writers envision can be a big help for later stages.
  29.
  30. I will speak with the coordinator about having set meetings strictly for the artists. Thing is, we are still trying to work out meetings for the writers and that’s a little bit more urgent. You may also look down below a current job we need to take care of. Also, there are alternate smaller things we may get done in secret, contact me for this and if anything down below seems unclear.

  36.                         *Post and rough drafts here http://indigo-ib.net/art/res/79.html or the dropbox.
  37.
  38.                         *Make it look nice in terms of composition, but don't focus on details. The closer it looks to the show and the nicer it looks the better, but don't worry too much about it.
  39.
  40.                         *As long as the ideas are there, lose, and subject to change, it's alright.
  41.
  42.         Now here's what we want to see.

  51.
  52.                         >Story art (Not to be mistaken for story board art, we will need this once the outline is finalized)

  55.         -Story board artists-
  56.
  57.
  58.                         *We will flush out the inexperienced or help them improve before the actual story boarding starts. So here's what we're going to do.
  59.
  60.         OPTION 1
  61.
  62.                         *Chose one script sample from 3 shown in the paste below and make a quick story board out of it.
  63.                         *No need to do any tight line work, I just want good composition and perspective on this. Of course, you can make it really nice if you want to impress us.

  66.
  67. http://www.mediafire.com/?d211ug147a1iltq <--Template The resolution is kind of a lot higher than I thought it was, good luck with that.
  68.
  69. The example and things is just a guide to how you could do it. A lot of story board artists do things differently and as long as it conveys the idea well along with a simple explanation, you will probably pass. You can even do it traditionally, if it's what makes you feel comfortable
  70.
  71.         OPTION 2
  72.
  73. Alternatively, there's something else you can do that may prove to be more worthwhile, but might be a little more difficult. (Please contact me for this)
  74.

  76.
  77. Mission-2
  78.
  79. We will discuss and critique designs submitted on the /art/ thread and the drawfag drop box. Here we will finalize designs and I will be stricter on presentation, so be ready for that. We will change a lot of things and possibly keep doing concept if are not satisfied with what we have.
  80.
  81.         -Stage 1- We discuss design for deerpone.
  82.         -Stage 2- We discuss designs for deer
  83.         -Stage 3- We discuss forest and scenery.
  84.         -Stage 4- Finalize designs.
  85.
  86. Note- we discussed these topics already but haven't finalized the design. When you find yourself in the IRC, Skype, or in a google hangout I can brief you on what we have so far.
  87. __________________________
  88.
  89. Mission- Whenever the script gets finalized
  90.
  91. I will assign the story board artist's each a scene to be completed in 1-2 weeks time, or more. I'm going to assign this either randomly or maybe I'll make a game of who gets what part.
  92. One week will be allowed for us to discuss what we have for the story board. We will still keep it rough but we may change things as we look over each others work.
  93.
  94. __________________________
  95. Final Mission-
  96.
  97. We will do the animatics, which is pretty much the story board in the form of a rough animation. first without sounds, then we may make another with sounds. Alternatively, we will make one with sounds.
  98.
  99. Here we will also implement basic elements of animation and cinematics such as blurring, panning, focusing, ect.
