A cornucopia of species, the folks here are notoriously friendly. A few years ago, they once held a local festival called the Festival of Wishes.     ========== THE AREA ========== Forested Region     ========== THE TIME ========== 12:21 PM - Day 4     ========== THE AUTHORITY ========== *Note: The total amount of authorities is liable to change under certain circumstances. There might be some townsfolk you have yet to meet.*   Mayor Sebastian Shuck [The Mayor]: A black bespectacled Diamond Dog that has the hearts and smiles of the townsfolk, Sebastian Shuck is the sixth generation of mayors descended from the Shuck line to govern the small town of Barkingsburg. However, looks are not what they seem, considering he hides a temper and contempt for Amara. You have reason to believe that he's somehow connected to the grizzly death of Amara's little brother Boxcar.   Sheriff Woody Brambles [The Sheriff]: A middle-aged oak green Earth stallion, Sheriff Brambles is in charge of the lackadaisical police force of Barkingsburg. Sheriff in name only, Brambles was put in the position by his father, whose family has served the Shucks for generations. He regularly exploits and prostitutes Amara, the egregious services being her only source of reliable income.     =========== THE TOWNSFOLK =========== *Note: The total amount of townsfolk is liable to change under circumstances. There might be some townsfolk you have yet to meet.*   Amara: A pretty young adult female Zebra who runs the struggling Barkingsburg General Shoppe, a small general store she inherited from her parents. Ostracized and shunned because of her brash and temperamental mood, she desperately wants to solve the mystery of who murdered her little brother, Boxcar, five years ago. She's quickly grown attached to you due to her being starved for attention.   Mr. Petrov Paige: The town's local librarian, Mr. Paige is an elderly shaggy white Diamond Dog that's a treasure trove of knowledge. He's a long time friend of Amara and her family, though they rarely visit each other often. Old as he may be, Mr. Paige is an expert fencer and still manages to pack a punch.   Terrance Tellurian: A snazzy light blue Griffon male that works as the bartender and off the books counselor at The Spunky Bitch. With his skeptical nature, Terrance can often attest to whether or not the local rumors townsfolk bring him are worth their salt. He and Rebecca have a friendly relationship, though he barely tolerates her obsession with the macabre.   Rebecca Foison: A bubble and energetic tan Diamond Dog with piercing yellow eyes, Rebecca is the musical entertainment at The Spunky Bitch. In addition to her dulcet pipes, Becca is an aficionada of the occult and obsessed with the esoteric. She makes an effort to befriend everybody, especially the homeless and drunkards, and keeps her ears close to the ground in an effort to collect new rumors about strange happenings. She and Terrance have a playful relationship, though she wishes he would be less stuffy once in a while.   Meredith Mayflower: The wife of Anthony Mayflower and the town's local florist, she's earned the nickname Old Mare Mayflower out of necessity than an elderly moniker, since townsfolk forget that she's actually 83 despite her chipper attitude and relatively youthful appearance with her marigold yellow coat and dark green mane. One middle child out of a sixteen children family, Meredith met the love of her life, Nathaniel Mayflower, after he stopped by her family flower store one day. Now the two of them live their lives in Barkingsburg, running their own flower shop in relative peace.   Anthony Mayflower: The husband of Meredith Mayflower, Anthony is the great-grandson of Nathaniel Mayflower. The Mayflower family used to be under the employment of the Shucks, until they were banished from town as punishment for the murder of Vivaldi Shuck. Like the rest of his family, the lavender coated and white maned stallion is slow to open up to and has a deep revulsion with satyrs. He does love his wife dearly though, taking her to social functions when he gets the chance and calling her Merigold as a term of endearment.     ========== THE LOCATIONS ========== *Note: The total amount of locations is liable to change under circumstances. There might be some places you've yet to go.*   Barkingsburg General Shoppe [Location]: The family owned store passed down to Amara. She and her brother Boxcar used to live there and run it together after their parents died in an accident. Ever since Boxcar's death, however, the home-store has seen better days. You currently lodge here and pay rent with   The Park [Location]: A picturesque green park for the enjoyment and recuperation of the lovely citizens of Barkingsburg, surrounded by swaths of deep forest. A bronze statue of the town's founder sits in the center. There's a plaque below that reads: 'When the torch of progress is lit with the blood of youth, the great change will bless this town. - Amadeus Shuck'   Mayflower Express [Location]: A local flower shop that sits on the edge of the park. Owned by the elderly couple, Mr. & Mrs. Mayflower.     ========== THE SAFE PLACES ========== The Library [Safe Place]: Ran by Mr. Paige, the library contains valuable insight about town's history and significant events in the archives. Not to mention it's not a bad place to checkout a spell book or two.   The Spunky Bitch [Safe Place]: Despite the evocative name, this bar isn't one of the seedy one's you'll find down in Manehatten. Rather, it's an intimate space on the main street of town that's often packed with it's fair share of regulars. Rebecca and Terrance work here, dispensing drinks and gossip alike.     ========== THE HIDDEN PLACES ========== Doggywood Forest [Hidden Place]: On the side of the park lies the expansive Doggywood Forest, a forest filled with magical trees that are nigh impervious. It shrouds the site of Boxcar's murder and, when you stroll too far, strange things occur before your eyes.     ========== THE RUMORS AND TIDBITS ========== -There seems to be talk of a ghost haunting the town at night, and strange sound can be heard echoing from the forest. No one ventures out when it gets dark. -People whisper about passersby in the town unfortunately disappearing on there stop in Barkingsburg. -Amara mentioned something about an encounter she had with a creature long ago. -The Brambles are very close with the Shucks, considering that they've protected them and looked after the town for generations. -What could be the significance of the sigil found in Doggywood Forest, the very same symbol seen on the pin of the town founder?     ========== THE UNKNOWN ==========   3????????????????????????????????1????????????????????6?????????????????????????2???????????????????2????????????????????????????????????1?????????????????????????4??????????????????????????????2???????????????????????????????????1??????????????????3????????????????????????2??????????????????????????????0????????????????????????2????????????????????????????????1?????????????????????????????????1?????????????????????????9??????????????????????????????????????9???????????????????????????????1?????????????????????????????9????????????????????????????2??????????????4?????????????????2????????????????1??????????????????????1?????????????1????????????????????????????????2??????????????????????????3???????????????????2???????????????????????????5?????????????????: ???????????????????????????????????????????????
