  1. Before you decide to start reading this, I'd like to point out that this story was made before the coronation episode aired so this does not follow canon in the slightest...

  8. >But soft, what light through yonder window breaks?
  9. >It is the east, and Juliet is the sun.
  10. >Arise, fair su—
  11. >Uhmmm narrator? Could you kick it down a couple notches?
  12. >Something more suitable for this story...
  13. >
  14. >
  15. >A soft beam of sunlight falls upon your face and rouses you from your sleep.
  16. >Aah, now we're talking.
  17.
  18. >You glance over at the clock to see that it is twelve past nine.
  19. >Shit, you slept through your alarm!
  20. >Oh well, it's not like you needed to do anything before noon today.
  21. >You stretch out and groan.
  22. >Still yawning, you drag yourself over to the bathroom and rub the sleep out of your eyes.
  23. >You start this morning like any other.
  24. >After performing your thoroughly trained routine consisting of a shit, a shower and a shave you make your way downstairs, wrapped in a big cotton bathrobe Rarity made for you.
  25. >You pour yourself a cup of coffee and look at the calendar.
  26.
  27. >Today was a Friday.
  28. >Another one of your talks with Twilight then.
  29. >A small smile made its way onto your face.
  30. >Ever since you came here, you had built the habit to go over to the library every other day.
  31. >Twilight was fascinated with you the moment she saw you.
  32. >A new species, never seen before in Equestrian history...
  33. >Not a single mention of humans in any of her books.
  34. >A bookworms' biggest dream come true.
  35. >She was just ecstatic when you had told her about Earth.
  36. >An entire civilization, previously undocumented...
  37.
  38. >And so it became routine for you to meet up with her three times a week to talk about Earth.
  39. >The various sciences, history, technology...
  40. >There was not a single subject that did not interest her.
  41.
  42. >Of course, you only knew so much and in time the talks became less and less about Earth and more and more about you.
  43. >Not that you minded in the slightest, the adorkable mare made for great conversation.
  44. >She quickly became your best friend in this new world.
  45. >However, with the chats becoming more and more personal, a new topic reached the surface.
  46. >One you had neglected completely.
  47. >Human anatomy.
  48. >You told Twilight everything you knew, both about male and female anatomy.
  49. >But for the first time, your knowledge didn't satiate Twilight.
  50. >And if there is one thing you had came to know about Twilight, it is that when she wants answers, she'll get them.
  51. >Or she'll try to, at least...
  52. >She wanted to study your body.
  53. >That's where you drew the line.
  54. >You didn't mind sharing all that you knew about Earth with her but your personal privacy is a boundary that you would not cross.
  55. >You were not an animal to cut open and prod around in.
  56.
  57. >Oh, how you infuriated Twilight with that...
  58. >She tried everything to get you to consent.
  59. >She begged, she pleaded, at one point she even tried to buy you out.
  60. >You chuckle as you recall the sight of Twilight throwing bags of bits at your feet.
  61. >Those were the days...
  62. >Lately, things had taken a different turn.
  63. >Getting your consent was no longer an issue for Twilight.
  64. >She wanted your body and she would have it.
  65. >When did it start?
  66. >Must have been around a month or two ago or something...
  67. >You were about to leave after telling Twilight everything that you could remember about the Hubble Space Telescope when she told you to wait for a bit.
  68. >You were already opening the door when she told you so.
  69. >You turned around and were hit with a bolt of lightning.
  70. >She had cast a spell over you in an attempt to take over your movements.
  71. >When you didn't feel so much as a slight tickle of where her magic had penetrated you, she was baffled.
  72. >So were you for that matter.
  73.
  74. >And for a while, you were back to actual research with your friend.
  75. >As it turned out, you held nearly no magical energy seeing as it was a non-existent form of energy on Earth.
  76. >Not that it deteriorated Twilight's persistence...
  77. >She'd just had to try harder.
  78. >That's what she told herself, at least.
  79. >Every time you visited, she'd cast a new spell, hoping she'd have it this time.
  80. >And when it didn't work, she'd just cast another one the next time.
  81. >And another one.
  82. >And another one.
  83. >Her efforts were valiant but they were in vain none the less.
  84. >You had been playing this game for weeks now and you could tell Twilight was beginning to run out of steam.
  85. >You didn't like to see Twilight losing hope.
  86. >Seeing what she was becoming filled you with a distant sense of sadness.
  87. >Things had been very differently in the past, but nowadays Twilight didn't really seem to be interested in your friendship so much as your body.
  88. >If she would just ask you on a date rather than shoot lightning bolts at you, things might go differently.
  89.
  90. >You look back at the clock.
  91. >Quarter to eleven.
  92. >Looks like you sat here reminiscing longer than you thought.
  93. >The forty-five minute shower might have had something to do with that too.
  94. >You walk back upstairs to get dressed for the day.
  95. >After donning your outfit, you go back downstairs and decide to read a bit to kill some time.
  96.
  97.                         *       *       *       *       *       *       *
  98.
  99. >You slam the book shut and look up.
  100. >The clock revealed that is was half past one by now.
  101. >You were more enthralled by the story than you'd have thought.
  102. >Looks like Twilight was beginning to rub off on you...
  103. >You can't help but smile at that thought as you close the door behind you and head towards Golden Oaks Public Library.
  104. >After a short walk through town, you arrive in front of Twilight's abode.
  105. >You knock on the door thrice.
  106. >After awkwardly standing about for what seemed like forever, the door finally creaked open.
  107. >You look inside the building and are greeted by Spike.
  108. >"Oh hey, Anon. Came here to see Twilight?" the small dragon asks.
  109. "Yup, it's Friday after all...   So, is she around?"
  110. >"No, she's in Canterlot. 'Important royal business', you know the drill."
  111. >A grin spreads on your face. He even did the little air quotes.
  112. "Oh.. well okay then. I'll just come back Monday then."
  113. >"I'll tell her you came by, Anon."
  114. "Thanks, man. See you around."
  115. >"Bye, Anon. Take care."
  116.
  117. >Looks like you had today to yourself then...
  118.
  119.                         *       *       *       *       *       *       *
  120.
  121. >You are Anon and a repetitive beeping noise disturbs your slumber.
  122. >Tentatively opening your eyes, you let them adjust to the sunlight creeping into the room through the window.
  123. >You stretch out and several of your joints pop in return.
  124. >Aaaah, Monday.
  125. >Time to go see Twilight again.
  126. >This weekend had without a doubt been the most boring one you've had to endure since coming here.
  127. >You weren't aware how much you relied on those talks with Twilight.
  128. >Sure, you had books to read but that tended to get boring after a few hours.
  129. >You chuckle to yourself.
  130. >Maybe Twilight didn't rub off on you as much as you'd have thought.
  131. >But still, you'd missed her. More than you'd tell her you did.
  132. >Then again, those conversations with her made up for the majority of your social interaction in general.
  133. >Excited, you hop out of bed and rush through your morning routine.
  134. >Shit, shower, shave, breakfast, get dressed.
  135. >It couldn't be dealt with fast enough.
  136. >You just knew Twilight would have a great story to tell from her so called royal business.
  137. >She'd always work her way into an adventure.
  138. >As long as she kept you out of them, all was fine.
  139.
  140. >Hardly half an hour after you had woken up, you were already waiting in front of the door of the library.
  141. >You tip-toed back and forth, waiting for the door to open.
  142. >You heard the lock turn and the hinges creaked as the door swung open.
  143. "Hey Twi—"
  144. >What stood in front of you wasn't the unicorn you'd been chatting away with for months.
  145.
  146. "What's with the crown, Twilight? Latest fashion from Rarity?"
  147. >"Oh Anon, I'm so glad you came by! LOOK!"
  148. >She turned around and splayed out her wings.
  149. >Wings.
  150. >Those were definitely new.
  151. "When did you—" you began to ask, but Twilight interrupted you.
  152. >"They made me a princess, Anon! Me! Could you have imagined it?"
  153. >The answer to that would have been 'no' but Twilight enthusiastically rambled forth.
  154. >"Turns out this is what all my training was for! So, what do you think?"
  155. >She looked at you with a sparkle in her eyes that did her name justice.
  156. "I-I'm... really happy for you, Twilight.   But... how is that even possible? I mean... aren't you... you know, a unicorn?"
  157. >"The Princesses gave me wings!" she proclaims just as vigorous as she was moments ago. "They have this old ritual that grants you access to your full, unrestricted magic potential. I've never felt so great before in my entire life!"
  158. "Uh yeah, I can see that," you chuckle.
  159. >"And do you know what the best part about this is, Anon?" she says, leaning far too deep into your personal space to be comfortable.
  160. >You take a step back and shake your head from side to side.
  161. "Surprise me."
  162. >"Now that I can use all my magical powers..."
  163. >"I'll finally have you!"
  164.
  165. >Before you could even begin to think of a potential response, you'd been struck with a beam of energy.
  166. >Twilight's eyes glowed a bright white and the beam increased in size by tenfold.
  167. >The entire room was filled by a brilliant light and you were rather certain that anypony passing by the library would be treated to quite the light-show.
  168. >Then the light began to fade out and Twilight slumped to the floor.
  169. >You hold both hands in front of you.
  170. >Still ten fingers.
  171. >Five on each hand.
  172. >You look down.
  173. >Still two legs.
  174. >Eh, good enough for you.
  175. >You see Twilight regaining her senses, even though she is still panting rather heavy.
  176. >She really threw everything in that one...
  177. >You feel a grin stretch out across the entirety of your face.
  178. >After having caught her breath, Twilight looks at you, still visibly somewhat shaken.
  179. >"Did it work?"
  180. >You cock your head to the right.
  181. "I thought you were going to hit me with a spell?"
  182. >Twilight's cheeks puff out and burn a bright red color, which only aids to increase the size of your mocking grin.
  183. >She was just too easy to rile up.
  184. >You were praising yourself inwardly so loud that you failed to see that Twilight was rolling on the floor, screaming like a five-year old filly.
  185. >You take that as your cue to leave.
  186. >You could always come back Wednesday.
  187. >She'd be calmed down by then.
  188. >A bit.
  189. >You shrug and walk home.
  190.
  191.
  192. >You are now Twilight.
  193. >And you failed. Again.
  194. >Why wouldn't it work?
  195. >It had to work!
  196. >It just had to!
  197. >It just had to...
  198. >You feel your anger ebbing away and instead sadness fills you up.
  199. >Why was Anon so dense?
  200. >Didn't he see that you just wanted to be with him?
  201. >You couldn't care less about research at this point.
  202. >You just wanted to make him feel like you felt when he was around.
  203. >Every time he came by you'd get this anxious feeling in your stomach.
  204. >Every time you looked at him you could just feel your cheeks burn red hot.
  205. >You couldn't stop yourself from giggling at his silly jokes.
  206. >Everything about Anon was just... magical.
  207. >Didn't he know that?
  208. >How could he not know that?
  209. >
  210. >Of course he couldn't know.
  211. >He never felt magic. Not even his own.
  212. >He didn't even realize how great he made you feel.
  213. >But you could make him see things your way.
  214. >You just had to find a way to let him see how magic felt.
  215. >Then, he'd finally return your feelings.
  216. >You feel your heart fluttering at the thought alone.
  217. >All you had to do was a find a way to show Anon what magic truly was.
  218. >And you knew exactly how. They taught you exactly that not even a week ago.
  219. >With the coronation spell.
  220. >If Anon found the source of his inner magic, he'd finally see you as more than a friend...
  221. >You needed to get your hooves on that scroll. And fast!
  222.
  223.                         *       *       *       *       *       *       *
  224.
  225. >You are Anonymous.
  226. >Right now, it's a little past two in the afternoon as you stand in front of Golden Oaks Library for the second time this week.
  227. >You were hoping Twilight wouldn't still be mad about mocking her.
  228. >The door opened and you could see Twilight looking worse for wear.
  229. >Her mane was a tangled mess and strands of hair sprung up in all directions.
  230. >The feathers of her wings were a mess.
  231. >Her eyes were bloodshot and there was a slight delay in between the blinking of her left eye and the right one.
  232. >She grabbed your sleeve and pulled you inside of the house.
  233. "Uhm, Twilight? Everything alright? You're not looking too fresh..."
  234. >"Let's skip the talk this time, Anon. I have a new spell I want to try out."
  235. "Oh my, frisky aren't we?" you chuckle. "Go ahead, Twi. Hit me with all you got."
  236. >You raise your arms and puff out your chest.
  237. >With the base of your hand, you slap your sternum.
  238. "Bring it, princess."
  239. >Twilight just huffs as she charges her horn.
  240. >She squeezes her eyes shut and groans as she grits her teeth.
  241. >You don't recall her struggling so hard with a spell ever before.
  242. >She was looking even more serious than she was two days ago.
  243. >Her horn begins to glow and her eyes shoot open, radiating with unrestricted power.
  244. >A beam of energy shoots out of her horn and hits you square in the chest where you previously had indicated she should aim.
  245. >An unbearable sensation of pain surged throughout every fiber of your body, screaming at the foreign intrusion.
  246.
  247. >For all of a second.
  248. >You tentatively rub your head.
  249. >"Well, did it work?" she asks, her coat glistening with sweat.
  250. "Yeah, congrats Twi. You found a spell to give me migraine."
  251. >You slowly clap your hands together.
  252. "Good job."
  253. >Her cheeks puff out again and a volcanic blush spreads on her cheeks.
  254. >"You...   You're just!"
  255. >"You're impossible! Just.. Just leave! Leave! Leave! Get out of my house!"
  256. >Not wanting to upset Twilight more, you walk out of the library.
  257. >The door is slammed shut behind your back and you hear Twilight began shout profanities cursing every deity known to this world.
  258. >Oh well, she'd be calmed down by Friday.
  259. >Probably.
  260. >Maybe.
  261. >You sigh and head homewards.
  262. >You just wished she'd be done with this sooner rather than later.
  263.
  264. >You spend the rest of the afternoon peacefully reading some more.
  265. >Nothing very notable happened that day.
  266. >What a nice change of pace.
  267.
  268. >A little before midnight, you decide to call it a day and head upstairs for your evening routine.
  269. >Which is brushing your teeth.
  270. >That Colgate-mare was pretty scary when it came to oral hygiene.
  271. >You weren't taking your chances with her.
  272. >You undress and get into bed.
  273. >It only took a few moments for sleep to take over.
  274. >
  275.
  276.                         *       *       *       *       *       *       *
  277.
  278. >You are Anon and you just woke up.
  279. >Right now, you are standing in...
  280. >Smoke.
  281. >Pink smoke flows around your feet, obscuring the ground you were standing on.
  282. >You look up and purple clouds float overhead.
  283. >You follow the flow of the clouds and find yourself absorbed by its beauty.
  284. >With your gaze transfixed on the clouds, you feel yourself relax deeply.
  285. >Suddenly, a soft giggle reverberates through the air, seemingly coming from every direction at once.
  286. >The clouds begin to flow around you, relaxing your every muscle and soothing you both physically and mentally.
  287. >An aura of tranquility descends over you and you cannot help but moan loudly to let your satisfaction be known.
  288. >
  289.
  290. >You are Anon and you just woke up.
  291. >Wait, didn't you just do that?
  292. >You blink a few times and look around.
  293. >Same old room as usual.
  294. >Same old bed as usual.
  295. >It was just a dream.
  296. >No...   Not just a dream.
  297. >That was the most enthralling dream you have ever had.
  298. >One element of the dream remained in the world of the waking.
  299. >An intense feeling of relaxation fills your body.
  300. >You stretch out and not a single one of your joints pops.
  301. >You feel like you are reborn.
  302. >You ponder upon your sleep-induced adventure for a bit.
  303. >The only explanation you can find that Twilight's spell must have played a role in it.
  304. >So much for magic immunity...
  305. >Oh well, if she was going to make a habit out of this, you'd be just fine with it.
  306. >You ought to go thank her.
  307. >Besides, you can only imagine how excited she would be to find out she finally found out something that worked.
  308. >You can already see her hopping around shouting 'yesyesyesyes' over and over again.
  309. >A smile spread upon your face at her imaginary cute antics.
  310. >This day has started just perfect.
  311.
  312.
  313. >For the umpteenth time you knock on the door of the library.
  314. >Then you notice something odd and your eyes fall upon a certain spot of the door.
  315. >You squint your eyes and lean closer towards the door.
  316. >You could see the faint outline of a dull spot in the wood where you had knocked on it.
  317. >You can't even begin to recall how many times you assaulted this door.
  318. >Your train of thought was disrupted when the door swung open and you nearly fell when you tried to follow it in its path.
  319. >"Anon! I wasn't expecting you today," Twilight says, clearly taken aback by your presence.
  320. >She steps back and allows you entrance to the main room of the library.
  321. >"I'm glad that you came though!" she quickly adds, sporting a grand smile now.
  322. "Why, got another spell?"
  323. >"No, not today," she says, averting her gaze towards your shoes.
  324. "Oh, that's too bad..."
  325. >She looks back up at you, confusion apparent on her face.
  326. "The one from last night was pretty darn good."
  327. >She glares at you as a blush starts to spread on her cheeks.
  328. >"Oh, so you just come to make some more fun of me then."
  329. "No, I'm serious. I've had the most amazing dream and this morning I wake up better than ever.
  330. >You see Twilight's eyes widen in excitement.
  331. >"You did? Hold on, I'm going to scan you over for magical energy," she says and she closes her eyes.
  332. >Her horn begins to glow and all of a sudden your legs decide to give out making you fall face-first on the floor.
  333. >Upon hearing the thud residing when your face met the floor, she halts her spellcasting.
  334. >"Anon, are you okay?" she asked worriedly.
  335. >
  336. >You are lying on the ground, once more surrounded by the pink clouds from earlier.
  337. >You look up, hoping to se— "Anon, are you okay?"
  338. >You blink as the sight in front of you abruptly changes to Twilight standing over you.
  339. "Uh, yeah. I'm... fine, I think?"
  340. "What happened?"
  341. >"I don't know, I was just trying to see if my spell worked. Hold on, let me try again."
  342. >"Her horn glowed once more and you saw the library being replaced with the endless fields of smoke again.
  343. >"Anon, you're filled with magic! This is amazing! How did you do that?"
  344. >You hear her speak but there isn't anything here other than the smoke and the clouds.
  345. >"Anon? Anon, answer me."
  346. "Yes, Twilight."
  347. >Wait.. That was your voice.
  348. >But you didn't speak.
  349. >You weren't even in the library.
  350. >"Anon, stand up."
  351. >You felt your body standing up on its own.
  352. >You closed your eyes shut and tried to envision the library.
  353. >"Twi, what are you doing? Stop this, I'm not doing this."
  354. >You just hoped you actually said that.
  355. >Her head cocks to the side slightly before a grin spreads upon her face.
  356. >"Anon, take off your shirt."
  357. >What? No! You're not doing that!
  358. >A shiver makes its way over your back as a cool breeze brushes over your bare chest.
  359. >You didn't take off your shirt! You didn't!
  360. >Twilight hooks her front hooves around your waist and begins to nuzzle your stomach.
  361. >"Hmmm, you're so warm. You don't know how long I waited for this."
  362. >I took you all the strength you could muster to regain control for a moment as you speak up.
  363. "Twilight, you can't do this. Please—"
  364. >"Sssshhhh Anon. Only speak when I tell you to."
  365. >You saw her horn glow again and you felt the coherency of it all falling away.
  366. >You're standing back in the realm of your dream.
  367. >"Now kiss me, Anon."
  368. >You do what the voice tells you.
  369. >You place both your hands on either side of Twilight's face and close the distance.
  370. >She puckers her lips and places them onto yours.
  371. >You heard a voice whisper in the back of your mind.
  372. >Wasn't there something you should remember?
  373. >You can't concentrate on the voice, Twilight needed your attention.
  374. >From the endless fields of smoke, you look through your own eyes as a spectator and see how Twilight uses your body for her satisfaction over and over again.
  375. >And there was not a thing you could do about it.
  376.
  377. >You blink.
  378. >You blink again.
  379. >You felt something stirring next to you.
  380. >Not moving your body an inch, you turn your eyes to the left where the sleeping form of Twilight Sparkle lay.
  381. >Still unmoving, you look around and quickly discern that you are laying in Twilight's bedroom.
  382. >Then the memories came flooding back into your mind.
  383. >You had to get out of here.
  384. >You quietly sneak out of the bed, avoiding to wake up Twilight at any cost and run home as fast as you can.
  385.
  386. >You arrive home and go straight to your bedroom to lay down in your bed, not bothering to take your clothes off.
  387. >Did that just happen?
  388. >It couldn't have.
  389. >She'd never do that to you.
  390. >There was an explanation for this.
  391. >You lay there staring at the sealing for hours with a mind and body broken beyond exhaustion until darkness fills the edges of your vision as you feel your grip on reality slip away.
  392.
  393.
  394.                                 *       *       *       *       *       *       *
  395.
  396. >Today was..
  397. >You didn't know what day it was.
  398. >Did it matter?
  399. >It had been months now since Twilight discovered the effects of her spell.
  400. >Every time she used her magic, you would retract into that field of endless clouds and she'd use and abuse your body in any way she desired to.
  401. >She'd been coming around on a daily basis now.
  402. >Everyday was a repeat of the previous one.
  403.
  404. >You'd wake up drenched in sweat.
  405. >You'd wait for Twilight to come and have her way with you.
  406. >After some time, she got... creative.
  407. >You shudder as you recall the body-swapping.
  408. >The list of sexual experimentation just dragged on and on.
  409. >And you lay there and took it. You were like putty in her hooves.
  410. >You doubt there was anything left in existence that disgusted you more than you disgusted yourself.
  411. >If there was Twilight would probably have it written down somewhere for future experimentation.
  412.
  413. >After she was satisfied for the day, she'd go away and carry on with her day like nothing had happened.
  414. >You didn't bother getting out of the bed anymore.
  415. >Twilight's magic sustained you enough to stay alive.
  416. >That's all she wanted, too.
  417. >For you to stay alive.
  418. >You hated her for that.
  419. >That, among other things.
  420.
  421. >And when she left you in the day, she'd come back to haunt you at night.
  422. >You had the same dream over and over again.
  423. >Clouds of pink and purple would flow over you before wrapping around you and binding you in place.
  424.
  425. >Then you'd hear her call out for you...
  426. >"~Come  PLAY  with me, Anon.~"
  427. >"~Anon, I want to  PLAY  ~"
  428. >"~Don't you want to  PLAY  with your princess, Anon?~"
  429. >You sighed and let consciousness fade away again.
  430.
  431. >Twilight would come around soon and wake you up...
  432.
  433. >The familiar scene formed around you again.
  434. >Plums of pink and purple smoke flowed and swirled around you before solidifying and holding you down.
  435. >But this time instead of the giggling came a loud rumbling.
  436. >To your left, a deep blue crystal shot out of the ground, shredding apart your bindings.
  437. >Then the same thing happened to your right.
  438. >All around you, blue gemstones shot out of the ground, forcing back the clouds of smoke.
  439. >Soon, a full circle of the gemstones stood around you, the entire perimeter they delimited clear of all smoke.
  440. >You could see a form shrouded by the smoke making its way through towards you.
  441. >The closer it drew, the more defined the outline of the shape became.
  442. >You could discern... a horn... and... wings.
  443. >So now she would come here as well...
  444. >Out of the mist steps a dark blue alicorn bearing the mark of the moon on her flanks.
  445. >In disbelief you simply stare at her.
  446. "Princess Luna?"
  447. >
  448. "Is... Wh-What are... How?"
  449. >Your mind could not get a proper grasp on the situation unfolding around you.
  450. >"Your calls of distress in this state of mind came to my attention, Anonymous."
  451. >"These visions around you are so very odd. Why do you choose to surround yourself with them if I might be so bold to inquire?"
  452. "This... I don't—"
  453. "I did not make this!" you lash out at her.
  454. >Princess Luna is taken aback by your forceful answer.
  455. >"I apologize if I offended you, Anonymous. It is just that there seems to be such an intricate pattern in this creation. I was not aware of anyone other than myself being able to alter their dreamstate in such detail."
  456.
  457. "Twilight did this to me."
  458. >"My sister's student made this? Why?"
  459. "I don't think she meant to create... —this—," you say, carrying as much disgust in your voice as it would allow.
  460. "I don't think she ever wanted to do any of this..."
  461.
  462. "She's been casting spells on me for months now."
  463. >You decide to keep the reasoning behind it to yourself for the time being.
  464. "It didn't do anything at first but when she got turned into a princess, she hit me with something and now whenever she uses magic I just... collapse."
  465. "I can't control my body anymore."
  466. >Luna stares at you deeply, clearly mulling over what you just said.
  467. >"This all seems so... eerily familiar."
  468. >"It's like I have been here before but I can't remember when..."
  469. "It didn't always look like this," you add in.
  470. >The princess of the night looks at you intrigued.
  471. "The first time I came here, those clouds," you say pointing at the smoke that was assaulting the gemstones, "swirled all around me and made me feel really good. I think they tried to rejuvenate me."
  472. >She taps her hoof against her chin a few times...
  473. >"OFCOURSE!" she suddenly shouts out.
  474. >"Oh, pardon us," she excuses herself as a small blush spreads upon her cheeks.
  475. >"Tis an old habit of ours," she bashfully apologizes.
  476.
  477. >"But now I know where we are! Of course I didn't remember it, it's been thousands of years since I've last been here myself."
  478. "I-I don't understand, Princess. I don't know a lot about magic."
  479. >"What surrounds us, Anonymous," the princess says as she gestures all around her with a wide swinging motion of her hoof, "is Twilight Sparkle's inner magic."
  480. >When she is met by silence on your end, she continues.
  481.
  482. >"You said when you first came here, you felt amazing. Almost as if you were reborn, no?"
  483. "Yes," you answer, nodding your head to amplify your response.
  484. >"And Twilight Sparkle only was able to do this after her magical powers were unrestricted?"
  485. >Another 'yes' on your end followed swiftly.
  486.
  487. >"Princess Sparkle attempted to unlock your full magic potential as well, Anonymous."
  488. >"But the waking of dormant powers is a dangerous and very delicate process."
  489. >"From what I can discern from this plane, you have become part of Twilight's magic yourself."
  490. >"Which would explain your state of mind as well."
  491. >You simply stare at her dumbfounded.
  492. >How can you be magic? You're a human being. A solid, touchable being.
  493. >"Whenever she activates her magic, you are brought here and she can form you into whatever it is the spell she is casting allows her to."
  494. >That made very little sense to you. No, that made no sense to you at all.
  495. >And you did not care in the slightest either.
  496.
  497. "Can you stop it, Princess?"
  498. >Where Luna formerly had been so exuberantly ecstatic about figuring out what was wrong with you, a solemn look of regret fell over her.
  499. >"I'm afraid I cannot do such a thing. The bond can only be broken by the one who made it."
  500. "So, if Twilight doesn't release me, I'm stuck here until she runs out of magic? So, never..."
  501. >Princess Luna stares at the ground, mumbling to herself before looking back up at you.
  502. >"No. There might be another way to break this connection."
  503. >"Twilight could only manage to master a spell of this magnitude after her magical powers reached their apex."
  504. >"If the bond with her inner magic is broken to the way it was before, this bond between you and her shall not be able to stand on its own any longer."
  505. >You felt a huge torrent of relief washing over you.
  506. "Please, Princess. Get me out of this."
  507. >"I will retrieve our sister this once," Luna says as she steps back into the smoke.
  508.
  509. >"I hope that we may meet under different circumstances another time, Anonymous."
  510. >You nod as she turns her back on you.
  511. "Thank you, Princess. Thank you so much."
  512. >The clopping of hooves echoes through the air as Princess Luna runs off into a gallop.
  513. >The world around you begins to distort...
  514.
  515. >You wake up, drenched in sweat again.
  516. >But something was different today.
  517. >The static cold feeling pressing you down that usually filled the room was now replaced by a gentle warmth flowing through it, seemingly embracing you.
  518. >You looked around and found a pair of magenta eyes looking at you sadly.
  519. >The sorrow look on her face disturbed you.
  520. >It did not fit Princess Celestia at all.
  521. >"I am sorry, Anonymous."
  522. >The sudden disruption of the silence surprised you.
  523. >You were no longer used to hearing a voice other than... hers.
  524. >"I have seen into your mind and your memories."
  525. >She knew.
  526. >"All that has happened," she looks over your body before turning her gaze towards the floor, "has all been my fault."
  527. >You decided to let the Princess finish before reacting.
  528. >"The Ritual of Slumbering Prowess is a very fickle thing."
  529. >"It is a spell from the olden days and not a lot of what is known about it is documented."
  530. >"The state of mind of the subject plays a great role in the outcome of the incantation."
  531. >"I thought that Cadence's training would have sufficed..."
  532. >"But I was too hasty in preparing my student and now you both have suffered for my impatience."
  533. >She halts for a moment, collecting her thoughts before she continues.
  534.
  535. >"I was aware of my student's... infatuation with you, but I payed it no heed."
  536. >"I did not anticipate it playing a role in the coronation."
  537. >"It seems it was wrong of me to assume so."
  538. >"Her addled state of mind disturbed the spell greatly and has altered her personality deeply."
  539. >"Rushing the coronation was a mistake on my behalf and I will do anything I can that lays within my power to right my wrong-doings."
  540.
  541. >She looks back up at you.
  542. >"Please, let me help you."
  543. >Silence permeated the dark room.
  544. >You looked at her and opened your mouth.
  545. "III—" you croaked out.
  546. >Your body had not spoken in months.
  547. >Attempting to felt like coarse sandpaper sliding over your throat, tearing apart every muscle in the progress.
  548. >Forming words made you feel as if you were trying to push something solid out of your throat.
  549. >The sides of your lips were already torn from opening your mouth, leaving two small streams of blood trickling down your chin in their wake.
  550. >You had to repress the urge to vomit.
  551. >Simply trying to utter one word had already knocked the wind out of you.
  552. >You whispered in a harsh voice.
  553. "II-Iss ii..  oo-ver?"
  554. >Celestia wrapped you into a hug.
  555. >"Yes. Yes, it's over now. I'm so sorry."
  556. >You wrapped your arms around her as well and enjoyed the warmth of her body.
  557. >Tears silently rolled down your cheeks as you felt hope fill you up for the first time in a year.
  558.
  559.
  560. >Several hours later, you were sat in the kitchen nursing to a cup of coffee, much like you had done in the past.
  561. >Princess Celestia healed you to her best extent and a lot of your former strength had returned.
  562. "So, where do we go from here?" you ask the solar goddess as you sip from the steaming, black concoction in the cup.
  563. >Princess Celestia sighs deeply, trying to word the plan so as to avoid bringing up any of the events that happened over the past few months.
  564. >"We shall simply go see my former student at her home."
  565. >"I will offer her the chance to release you."
  566. >"If she refuses, I shall do what needs to be done to set you free."
  567. >You softly place the now emptied cup back on the table.
  568. "I'm sorry for all of this, Princess."
  569. >"No, Anonymous, you have nothing to blame yourself for. I could have—no, I should have—anticipated this."
  570. >You place your hand on her neck and gently stroke her ethereal flowing mane, making her look into your eyes.
  571. "I don't blame you for this."
  572. "Let's just... Let's just go and get this over with."
  573. >The white mare stood up and nodded.
  574. >"You are right, Anonymous. There is no point in abiding our time any longer."
  575.
  576. >You stood in front of the door of the library again.
  577. >But the excited feeling you used to have from standing in front of this piece of wood was nowhere to be found.
  578. >You dreaded what was to come. This could not end well.
  579. >Princess Celestia rapped on the door a few times.
  580. >You saw she was hesitant as well.
  581. >Suddenly, a loud bang sounded behind you and you spun around on your feat to see Twilight standing there.
  582. >Upon seeing you and Princess Celestia, she glares at the both of you in anger.
  583. >"What are you doing here?" she snarls.
  584. >"I saw what you did to him, Twilight," a composed voice coming from your right answered.
  585. >"The coronation spell has made you drunk with power. All I ask of you is to release Anonymous."
  586. >"I offer you a chance to redeem yourself. Let us help you, Twilight."
  587. >You could see Twilight become seething with rage at this.
  588. >"NO! I have worked so hard for this! You're not taking him away from me!"
  589. >Twilight's horn began to glow as she charged her magic.
  590. >"Then I am sorry for what I must do, my student."
  591. >Princess Celestia responds by summoning forth her magic as well.
  592. >Both mares began to rise into the air as the glow around their horns intensifies.
  593. >At the exact same time, their eyes open and they launch their attacks.
  594. >A beam of purple collides against one composed of a golden hue as pure as the sun itself.
  595. >Princess Celestia grits her teeth as the golden ray slowly inches towards Twilight.
  596. >Upon seeing that she was on the losing side of this battle, Twilight's visage twisted into something you couldn't aptly describe.
  597. >Her expression invoked pure horror in you. This wasn't Twilight. Not anymore.
  598. >"NO! HE'S MINE! MINE! MINE! MIIIINNNEEEEEE!"
  599. >The beam of purple grows in size and rapidly overpowers Princess Celestia's efforts.
  600. >It almost seemed as if Celestia wasn't even fighting back, so quickly did she became overpowered by her student's lash-out.
  601. >The beam of arcane energy strikes Celestia and she falls to the floor, forming a crater upon impact.
  602. >Twilight comes down to the floor as well and looks in awe at the result of her magic.
  603. >The look on her face made it very clear that she was not expecting to win this fight at all.
  604.
  605. >"I-I did it! I'M THE MOST POWERFUL UNICORN ALIVE!"
  606. >Then, that sickening grin you'd grown far too familiar with over the past few months returned on her face.
  607. >"This kingdom is due for a new queen."
  608. >With a loud bang, she disappeared out of sight, leaving you behind with the fallen ruler.
  609. >You quickly rush to her side and are very relieved to find that she is still breathing.
  610.
  611. "Princess, are you alright?"
  612. >It took her a few moments but she managed to shift into a sitting position.
  613. >"I- I did not know she held such power. I can not stop her myself."
  614. "Does that mean I'm stuck in her?"
  615. >Princess Celestia hangs her head low as she glumly shakes her head from side to side.
  616. >"No, there is one other way..."
  617. >Why does she look saddened by that?
  618. >"... but it comes at a steep price."
  619. >She sighs deeply before turning to look at you again.
  620. >"The Elements of Harmony can break the bond by sheer force."
  621. >"However... I do not know how this will affect Twilight."
  622. >"But I am afraid, it is all we can do..."
  623. "But... she is an element herself."
  624. "The Elements can't work without her, can they?"
  625. >"No, but we have another Element of Magic among us now."
  626. >Bringing her gaze to meet your eyes, she stoically speaks, "You."
  627. "Me? I can't do magic! I don't know the slightest thing about it."
  628. >"Calm down, Anon. You don't need to —do— anything."
  629. >"As soon as Twilight uses her magic, the link will open and you can replace her function as an Element."
  630. "Do you think that will work?"
  631. >"It's our last hope."
  632.
  633. >After letting Princess Celestia recover a bit, you go around town and collect the Bearers of the Elements, filling them in on what was going on with their friend.
  634. >You were met with disbelief at first, but Princess Celestia convinced them all that you were telling the truth.
  635. >The seven of you now stood in front of the library, having just picked up the Elements themselves.
  636. "So, what do we do now, Princess?"
  637. >"Did she say anything to you before she left? Any indication of where she went?"
  638. "She said this kingdom needed a new queen."
  639. >"I think I know where to find her..."
  640. >"Everypony, uhm.. everyone knows what they need to do?"
  641. >You all nod at her.
  642. >"Very well then. Next stop, Canterlot," she says as her horn became wrapped in a golden aura.
  643. >A flash of golden light filled your vision and rather than the tree you stood in front of moments ago, you found yourself in the garden of the Royal Castle.
  644. >You'd been here once before, when you were just discovered by Twilight.
  645. >She had been so proud to show you to the Princess...
  646. >Your thoughts are interrupted when you hear somebody talking, coming from your right.
  647. >"Well, well, what do we have here?"
  648.
  649. >Princess Celestia stepped forward.
  650. >"Twilight, please stop this while you still can. This isn't the filly I took under my wings."
  651. >"No, you're right. I'm not. I'm bigger than you now."
  652. >"How does it feel? To be beaten by your own student? Knowing that you have nothing to teach me anymore?"
  653. >Applejack stepped forward.
  654. >"Twi, just come to yer senses! This ain't you! This ain't anything like you at all!"
  655. >"YOU DARE GO AGAINST A GODDESS!" she bellows in a voice rendering the Royal Canterlot Voice to a mere whisper.
  656. >Now it is Rainbow Dash's turn to step forward.
  657. >"We can't let you do this, Twilight."
  658. >"FOOLS! EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU! AND TO THINK I ONCE CONSIDERED YOU MY FRIENDS!"
  659. >"YOU WILL FACE PUNISHMENT SUITED FOR TRAITORS!"
  660. >"A THOUSAND YEARS OF BANISHMENT SEEMS SUFFICIENT!"
  661. >Twilight flares her wings open and her horn shimmers with power once more.
  662. >"NOW, ANON!" Princess Celestia shouts.
  663. >Her horn glows and you felt like somebody cracked an egg open over your head.
  664. >As the cold feeling sent shivers over your spine, you became visible once more.
  665. >You placed the Tiara of Magic on your head, its gemstone radiating equally with Twilight's horn.
  666. >The other elements responded in return and they began to glow as well.
  667. >Twilight's eyes shot open before her face turned into a scowl.
  668. >"NOOOO, YOU CAN'T—"
  669. >The respective beams of the Elements fired and formed their trade-marked rainbow, striking Twilight right in the chest.
  670. >Twilight got slammed into the floor, debris flying everywhere from the force of the impact.
  671. >Your vision became filled with a burning bright light and you felt your body fall to the floor.
  672. >You barely manage to keep a grasp on your consciousness but succeed in doing so.
  673. >Your vision slowly returns to you, the white light slowly fading to the edges of your sight.
  674. >You look in front of you and see Twilight's body laying in a frayed heap.
  675. >No.
  676.
  677.
  678. >No wings.
  679. >It had worked.
  680. >Princess Celestia quickly stepped forward and levitated the motionless unicorn on her back.
  681. >She turns her gaze towards you.
  682. >"I will do anything I can to bring her back, Anonymous. I promise."
  683. >Before you can respond a bright yellow flash displayed in front of you and an empty spot remained where the both mares stood moments ago.
  684. >You look around and see the other Elements coming to.
  685. "Girls, we need to talk..."
  686.
  687.                                 *       *       *       *       *       *       *
  688.
  689. >You are now Twilight. And you are moving.
  690. >You groggily blink your eyes a few times.
  691. >You were floating.
  692. >As you look to your left, you see Princess Celestia carrying you along in an aura of magic.
  693. >You look around and see that you are being transported through a hallway.
  694. >You don't recall ever seeing this part of the Royal Castle.
  695. >Princess Celestia sees that you have regained your bearings and begins to talk.
  696. >"I can not begin to apologize for what I did to you and Anonymous."
  697. >She sighs deeply, breaking the mask of composure she always wore.
  698.
  699. >"I know you're still in there somewhere, Twilight."
  700. >"And I'll find you."
