"Well I must say your cider is something else. With a drink this good, you and your family must be rolling in bits."   Applejack sighed and shook her head. "Sorry to disappoint you Mr. Rod but we're barely breaking even. Cider money is what gets us through the winter, but even then we're barely scrapping by half the time." "Wait a second; you guys have the only apple orchard for MILES! How can you be doing so poorly?"   Applejack shrugs her shoulders. "Just the way business works I guess. Ponyville ain't exactly Canterlot, the folks here don't have that much to spare. We make what we can and it does us good."   Sighing, you shake your head. "If there was any justice in this world you'd have all the bits you could possibly need. The demand is clearly there; you could export your goods and sell them at a higher price in other cities to make a bundle. More than enough to get you through the winter and definitely enough to fix up some of the older structures at the farm."   "Huh," Applejack pondered for a moment. "Never thought of it that way before. Ah'd have to run it by Granny Smith first, though. She's the boss when it comes to Sweet Apple Acres." "If you don't mind me saying, you guys aren't looking that great. Do any of you need a hand getting home?"   Most of the ponies shook their heads but AJ smiled at you and nodded up at the sleep flying Rainbow Dash. "I think we all know our way home but someone has to get this one to bed and Fluttershy isn't exactly up to flying at the moment. Could you get her there? It's the big house in the sky with the rainbow waterfalls. "I'd be happy to." You take the rope from AJ and fasten it around yourself, giving her a smile and a nod.   Taking to the sky, you pull the sleep flying Rainbow Dash gently behind you, making your way to her house in the clouds.   Reaching the dwelling quickly, you escort her into her house and quickly locate the bedroom, laying the blue pegasus down in her bed.   She moans a little and rolls over onto her back, stretching her forelegs out above her head before settling into a more comfortable sleeping position. Playing this carefully, you quickly shape shift to resemble the yellow pegasus from earlier, moving around to get used to your new proportions and parts. It's been a while since you were a girl.   Quietly, you begin to case the house. Upon searching, you discover a room full of Wonderbolt memorabilia, a Best Flier trophy, a fancy dress with a laurel crown headpiece, and a picture of a filly Dash next to an adult pink pegasus with a light blue mane. Taking the picture with you, you head back into Dash's room and wait. A couple hours latter, the blue pegasus moans and rubs her head, sitting up bleary eyed and groggy.   "I... Fluttershy?" You quickly place the picture on a shelf. "What are you doing here?"   "Oh, me? I just came by to check on you after Lighting Rod dropped you off," you answer in Fluttershy's voice. "You looked pretty out of it."   Dash's face blanched. "Oh horse apples... I got drunk didn't I? Did we... did I do anything stupid?" "Well..." you begin before hesitating and allowing a blush to enter your face.   "Well what?" Dash demanded angrily.   Squeaking and looking at the floor, you answer, "You were kinda... making moves at Twilight before you passed out and... well..." You blush again and shake your head vigorously. "Nobody else saw, I swear! She looked pretty drunk too so I don't think she'll remember."   Rainbow Dash groaned and fell back onto her bed. "Great. Just great. Anything else?"   "Oh, umm... there was the pegasus that brought you back. Lightning Rod. You seemed pretty comfortable with him but I don't know if... if... you know, anything happened."   Dash looked up at you and raised an eyebrow. "Lightning who?" "He's a pegasus. I've never met him before but it looked like you two knew each other. He offered to take you home since you were sleeping. I... I'm sure nothing happened. Probably... maybe."   Rubbing her head with hoof, Rainbow Dash sighed. "Alright, alright. Whatever. I'll... I'll deal with it after I sleep off this headache. I'm fine, you don't have to stay here if you don't want to." Reassuring Rainbow Dash, you tell her you'll stay at least long enough for her to fall asleep.   After she has drifted off, you quietly take the picture from the shelf and into the Memorabilia room. Breaking the glass pane in the frame and making little tears in the photo completes the job as you stash the ruined photograph behind an old wonderbolts Nightmare Night costume, leaving it peeking out just enough to be noticed.   Turning invisible, you take your leave of the house and ponder on where you should go next. Remaining invisible, you make your way to Sugar Cube corner and pause outside to observe.   The Cakes are hard at work, stocking shelves and baking goods. A baker's day starts early, they didn't have the time to attend the Cider competition with all the prep work they had to do. Drifting to a higher window, you can see Pinkie Pie sprawled out on her bed trying to sleep and not having much luck as two baby ponies are seated firmly on her stomach and staring at her. Moving up right next to the window, still invisible, you begin to rattle and bang against it. The babies inside jump and start wailing.   Pinkie Pie groans and covers her ears. Pinned by the twin baby Cakes, she is unable to escape their cries.   Downstairs you can make out Mrs. Cake asking her husband to go and check on the babies. Moving quickly to the first floor and entering the building, you take a quick glance at the many delectable foods lining the shelves.   With a wave of your invisible hand, mold begins to sprout from the various pastries and pies. Soon everything in the shop is ruined and a foul odor is beginning to make itself known.   Mrs. Cake comes rushing in from the kitchen, almost running into you on her way to the shelves. Completely baffled, she pokes gingerly at the spoiled provisions that stocked her shelves.   "Honey?" she calls up the stairs. "I think we may have a problem on our hooves." Sticking to the ceiling, you observe the aftermath. Mr. Cake had come rushing down the stairs without the children, stopping in horror as he looked at the dessert destruction before him.   Turning to look back up the stairs, he called for Pinkie Pie to stop playing with the babies and come help them clean up. Mrs. Cake walked towards the store front and changed the sign to closed. They weren't doing much business today anyway.   Pinkie descended the stairs, having left the babies behind. It seemed as though her hair had lost some of its bounce and the spring was gone from her step. Looking out upon the shelves she sighed. "I'll go get the mop." Your work here is done for now and you figure it is high time you check on one of the more troublesome of your adversaries.   Remaining invisible, you slide out the door and fly for the Library. A quick peek inside the window reveals Twilight fast asleep, draped over her desk with notes and paper scattered around. The pages seem to depict various rodents, wheels and gears of varying sizes and purposes. A quick glance up at the balcony finds Spike airing out some laundry. Clearly the little dragon may present a problem.   Flowing up to the balcony, you enter the Library through the open door and eye the dragon from behind. Remaining invisible, you descend into the study and take a closer look at Twilight's papers. They appear to contain information on running speeds, endurance levels and complex equations regarding how much power a single hamster could generate and the optimum level of efficiency given a certain number of breaks of a specific time length. Rising up from the Library and out of site, you return to your Fluttershy disguise, you head down and alight on the balcony near Spike.   "Oh Spike, thank goodness you're here!" You fall to your belly and grab his ankles. "rarity got her mane stuck in a loom and needs your help. Go quick before she damages her hair!"   Puffing his chest out, Spike thumped his heart with a fist. "Fear not, my lady! Spike is on the job!" Rushing down the stairs and out of the library, the purple dragon made his way to the Boutique.
