  1. AiE – Erenehylitornos (Still untitled)        Part Cuatro
  2.
  3.
  4.
  5. > You ended up staying the night at Rarity's place.
  6. > She gave you a few mattresses to go and you slept downstairs in some unused workroom.
  7. > What exactly was she trying to accomplish with you staying here?
  8. > Sure she was the Element of Generosity and Celestia had assured them that you were not a dangerous and evil demon.
  9. > Maybe you were overthinking this.
  10. > You cover your jimmies and decide to go and just outright ask her.
  11. > She was already up and working.
  12. > ”Good morning Anon. Did you sleep well?”
  13. > ”Yes. Thanks for allowing me to stay.”
  14. > Nicely folded set of garments floats up to you.
  15. > ”Try these on and tell me what you think.”
  16. > You hop behind one of those movable screens.
  17.
  18. > Alright, let's see what we have.
  19. > You have your basic t-shirt, plain white.
  20. > Just like you requested.
  21. > Next in line is your pants.
  22. > The pantlegs are too short and there are no pockets.
  23. > You sort of forgot to mention how crucial pockets were for you.
  24. > You zip back to Rarity.
  25. > While explaining you motion her how long the legs should be and why you need pockets.
  26. > ”This will do just fine. Just a few pointers for the next time.”
  27. > Your chit-chat goes on for good time until you remember what you had in mind.
  28.
  29. > You sit there awkwardly, observing your surroundings.
  30. > ”So uh... this might be a bit too personal question from someone you've known for one day..”
  31. > She stops and turns around.
  32. > ”What is it Anon?”
  33. > You sigh. Here goes nothing.
  34. > ”Is there something worrying you?”
  35. > She looks surprised.
  36. > ”I guess what I'm trying to ask you is why did you offer me a place to stay?”
  37. > ”I mean you are the Element of Generosity and all that, but it still strikes me abit odd.”
  38. > Her horn glows and you see a roll of fabric glide through the room.
  39. > ”I guess I owe you an explanation.”
  40. > A pair of scissors float up and cut the cloth in a clean sweep.
  41. > ”I think there is a thief in Ponyville.”
  42. > ”During the night I've heard someone sneaking around the house for several moments.”
  43.
  44. > She frowns.
  45. > ”I haven't actually seen anyp0ny out there, but I feel unease being alone.”
  46. > ”Surely the girls would help me find out, but I just need to be certain before bothering them.”
  47. > ”I stayed at Twilight's place in hopes of provoking the thief, but no luck it seems.”
  48. > You get slightly frustrated.
  49. > How can she be so... ignorant?
  50. > ”Rarity, there is no luck in getting robbed. And trust your friends, there is no way they think you are bothering them.”
  51. > ”Look, I'll stay here until this is resolved so you don't have to ”bother” your friends.”
  52. > She seems to have regained her usual composition.
  53. > ”You are right Anon. I'm sorry for not telling you earlier.”
  54. > You come to an agreement that you will stay until this thief is caught.
  55.
  56. > You moved your ”bed” from the small workroom to the main workroom.
  57. > You'd keep watch for any sneaking thieves.
  58. > As you lay on your bed, it suddenly hits you.
  59. > You are slowly turning into Mary Sue. Or Gary Stu. Or whatever it's called.
  60. > You didn't act like you normally do.
  61. > Normally you wouldn't have asked, wouldn't have cared.
  62. > Here you are volunteering to play night watch for who knows how long.
  63. > You even lectured someone about trusting their friends.
  64. > Played a guitar perfectly without knowing how to.
  65. >This place was slowly changing you and you didn't like it.
  66.
  67. > Sleep just refuses to come by, so you start pacing around.
  68. > The night is quiet and the only thing lighting up the room is the shiny moon.
  69. > You sit down and scan around the room.
  70. > You've done this several times now during your stay here, better find something to do.
  71. > Maybe you could ask around the town for a job now that you have your clothing.
  72. > You could ask Rarity, she seems to be busy.
  73. > Heck, you most likely can help her with your Mary Sue powers.
  74. > You snap out of it.
  75. > Now that you are back on this day you see that there is something at the window.
  76. > Just barely can't make it out..
  77. > Ladder.
  78. > Leaning against the house.
  79. > Alright, time to catch that night prowler.
  80.
  81. > You push the door open without a noise.
  82. > Just that pro.
  83. > Slowly circling around, you are almost to the window.
  84. > You can hear... panting?
  85. > What's up with that?
  86. > The perpetrator is now in your sight.
  87. > At the top of the ladder you see someone in a black bodysuit.
  88. > Hard to tell if it's an unicorn or pegasus or earth pony.
  89. > Whatever he's looking for inside there, he is in for one hell of a surprise.
  90. > Why would he go for upstairs anyway?
  91. > All the goods were downstairs according to Ra... oh yeah.
  92. > Seems like our thief is a stalker instead.
  93.
  94. > You slither under the ladder and push.
  95. > With a loud yelp the lurker comes down.
  96. > He was right at the top of the ladder, so you start closing in the distance.
  97. > ”You better find something else to pass your free time, I don't think stalking is acceptable around here.”
  98. > He was still groaning under the ladder.
  99. > ”Now you will have to show me where I can find the police, I still don't know my way around here.”
  100. > He kicks the ladder away and starts backing off.
  101. > Don't you even think about running.
  102. > You didn't say that out loud and he still goes for it.
  103. > Holy moly is he fast.
  104. > You try to keep up, but it's like trying to outrace Usain Bolt.
  105. > He disappears behind a corner with you following.
  106.
  107. > Gone.
  108. > You couldn't find him anywhere.
  109. > He didn't leave you any clues either.
  110. > You'd think he wouldn't run so fast after you knocked the wind out of him.
  111. > Well not you. Gravity. Fuck gravity.
  112. > Carousel Boutique sticks out like a sore thumb as you walk back.
  113. > You can see Rarity waiting at the door in her nightgown, most likely woken up by the ruckus earlier.
  114. > ”I'm sorry, he got away.”
  115. > ”I knew it! What kind of ruffian goes around our Ponyville trying to break in to our houses.”
  116. > She is so mad she is grinding her teeth.
  117. > ”Well I did find two things about him.”
  118. > ”He runs fast and he isn't a thief.”
  119. > She stops her eruption.
  120. > ”Anon what do you mean that he is no thief?”
  121. > ”Well he was standing on top of the ladder huffing and puffing while looking into most likely your bedroom, so-”
  122.
  123. > She explodes again;
  124. > ”HE DID WHAT?!”
  125. > ”WHO IN THE HAY DOES HE THINK HE IS?! I-”
  126. > ”Woah chill out. It's in the middle of the night.”
  127. > She quiets down, but is still mighty flustered.
  128. > Without a word she goes back in.
  129. > You close the door and go lay on your bed.
  130. > You see Rarity throw her nightgown on to the floor.
  131. > She then starts floating all of her tools to a work spot.
  132. > ”Not going to sleep tonight?”
  133. > ”I simply cannot sleep after that.. thing.”
  134. > You can hear disgust in her voice.
  135. > ”Anon, first thing in the morning we take a train to Canterlot. I need some supplies.”
  136. > ”I'll wake you when we need to leave.”
  137. > You give her a simple response and flip over.
  138.
  139.
  140. > After a boring train trip followed by all the stares in Canterlot, you were done here.
  141. > You went to some warehouse to pick up a crate full of stuff Rarity needs for her orders.
  142. > You volunteered to haul it back to Ponyville.
  143. > Rarity just wouldn't accept any payment for the clothing so you had to make it up somehow.
  144. > She was reluctant, but had to accept after she ended up contradicting herself.
  145. > She told you earlier that overuse of magic often leads to headaches and with her busy schelude that would most likely happen.
  146. > You were back at the train station.
  147. > You drop the crate down on the ground and wipe your forehead.
  148. > ”Thank you Anon.”
  149. > Rarity turns her gaze to check the time.
  150. > ”We have plenty of time before the train arrives. If there is a shop you want to visit then go ahead. I'll wait here.”
  151. > You didn't really look around the town earlier, so why not check it out again.
  152.
  153. > Here it is. Why did I even stop here?
  154. > 'Rooster Records' – Instrument shop extraordinarie.
  155. > ”Buy any instruments for.. blablabla.. a recording studio?!
  156. > The pony technology is just bizarre.
  157. > They have recording studios, DJ turntables and ovens, but still use quill pens and scrolls instead of pen and paper.
  158. > Oh well. Welcome to Equestria, please leave your common sense at the door.
  159. > Cheery sounding bell rings as you enter the shop.
  160. > ”Welcome! How may I-”
  161. > You have too much shock value.
  162. > Before the silent staring can even begin, you answer with a tad too loud shout.
  163. > ”HAY!”
  164. > The salespony isn't sure whether it was a greeting or you just shouting hay.
  165. > God that was stupid. Atleast the pony looks more confused than scared.
  166. > You use this opportunity to look around.
  167. > All sorts of instruments.
  168. > Everything was so small compared to what you'd prefer.
  169. > You chuckle. Preference in something you know nothing about.
  170. > How did the ponies play some of the string instruments, like guitar or harp?
  171. > Something guided you here, better just go with the flow.
  172. > You grab one of those small acoustic guitars and march towards the counter.
  173. > ”Do you custom make these on request?”
  174.
  175. > You walk back as a winner.
  176. > It would take one week until it's finished.
  177. > You did spend your bits on a non-mandatory thing just to sate your calling.
  178. > As you get on the train you feel like a kid after buying new vidya.
  179. > Rarity is sleeping in very unladylike fashion, leaning against the window.
  180. > You slip the bits she refused to take into her saddle back.
  181. > Got her good.
  182. > You stare out of the window as the scenery flies past...
