  1. Chapter 1: Sightseeing
  2.
  3. >It's been two weeks since you woke up in Equestria
  4. >So far, you've been wandering aimlessly throughout the Everfree forest, looking for food and shelter
  5. >Considering it's mostly just trees, the idea of a hot meal and a bed is scarce.
  6. >Feeling the strains of hunger upon you, you become more and more desperate for food. You would catch a squirrel here and there, but the damn things tasted like crayons. Everything in these woods tastes like crayons. You hate crayons.
  7. >As the sun sets you begin to worry about how to stay warm for the night. You found a hollow log to sleep in last night, but when you woke up there had been a badger staring at you, unblinking. You decided it was best to let it have the log, what with the way it was looking at you.
  8. >You scan your surroundings, and notice that there are considerably less trees than there were in other parts of the forest.
  9. "Maybe I'm getting closer to the forest's edge," you whisper to yourself, hopefully.
  10. >After a few minutes of roaming you see a faint glow in the distance
  11. >You carry onward toward the light, at this point shuffling along, your feet guided by the hope for a hot meal and a bed.
  12. >Clearing the forest, you see that the source of the light is a small town off in the distance.
  13. "Ponyville. Perfect. I can get some answers, and food, once I'm down there. Mostly food for now though."
  14.
  15. -------
  16.
  17. >Ponyville is quiet. At this time of night it seems that everypony is asleep, and you try your best not to make a sound as you creep through the town.
  18. >You shuffle your way through the darkness, trying to find your way through.
  19. "All I have to do is find the library," you say to yourself. "I find the library, I find Twilight. I find Twilight, I find answers."
  20. >Suddenly you stop in your tracks
  21. >You sniff the air, faintly smelling something sweet.
  22. >Overcome by hunger, you follow your nose to a building on a corner.
  23. >You peer into one of the windows, squinting your eyes as you try to see what lie inside.
  24. >Cakes.
  25. >Oh dear god, so many CAKES.
  26. "Fud..."
  27. >Your jaw drops and your mouth waters at the site of all that freshly baked goodness.
  28. >You dash to the door and give the handle a tug, but to your horror it's locked.
  29. >You now face a moral dilemma: Do you carry on to the library and hope for food there? Or do you be a total prick and break into the bakery and satisfy your hunger?
  30. >you look off towards the dim light.
  31. >You look back at the bakery.
  32. >You look at the light.
  33. >You look at the bakery.
  34. "HUNGERRRRR."
  35.
  36. -------
  37.
  38. >Glass lay on the floor of the shop from where you broke the window.
  39. >Your hand is in pain and trickling blood.
  40. >Maybe you should have shattered the window with something other than your fist.
  41. >You stumble forward into the bakery, glass crunching beneath your feet.
  42. "Must... cake... in me... NOW."
  43. >You have been reduced to a husk of the man you once were as you descend upon the sugary baked goods.
  44. >As you devour the confections, you slowly break into a laugh. An... "evil" laugh, if you will.
  45. >Your vision becomes a blur of pastries and sugar, as you lose yourself in a frenzy of omming and nomming.
  46. >"Uhm. Hi?" says a voice behind you.
  47. >You're snapped back to your senses as your vision returns to normal. It's not dark in the shop anymore, as someone has turned on the lights.
  48. >You turn your head, looking for the source of your greeting when you see it. You're dumbstruck for a second or two.
  49. >A pony stands in the doorway. A pink pony. A pink pony with poofy pink hair.
  50. >You stare at the filly, who stares back at you with her bright blue eyes.
  51. "Pinfy Pah?," you ask her with a mouthful of pastry.
  52. >The pony stares at you, but her face slowly breaks into a restrained smile.
  53. >"Pffffft hahahahaha! You look funny with all that cake on your face! Hi, I'm Pinkie Pie!" says the pink pony with the poofy pink hair, a grin plastered to her face.
  54. >You swallow the food in your mouth, and wipe the frosting from your face as best as you can.
  55. >"Say, did you break our window? That's not very nice, though you do seem to like all those cakes and cookies and pies I made. So I guess that's a compliment of sorts, heehee!"
  56. >You glance at the window, glass spread on the floor.
  57. >Oh god... here comes that guilt.
  58. "I'm sorry! Really, I am. I... I didn't know what I was doing. I haven't eaten in weeks and when I saw your shop I... I kind of..."
  59. >"Lost it? Got loopy? Went loco in the cocoa?" She asked while making a silly face to accompany each version of "went crazy" she says.
  60. >Your vision begins to blur again, as you're overcome by the events.
  61. >You were talking to Pinkie Pie.
  62. >Pinkie Pie is right there.
  63. >Talking to you.
  64. >You knew you were in Equestria, but there was still that part of your mind that put it all off. That part of the mind that said this was all some sort of bizarre, prolonged dream.
  65. >As you start to answer Pinkie, your balance wavers and you fall to the ground.
  66. >You welcome the darkness as you blackout.
