  1. >Night wind brushed past your hair, the cool torrents washing over you soothingly.
  2. >You crack your eyes open and see the turning of a ceiling fan, slowly spinning in circles.
  3. >Lazily rolling your eyes around, you find the bright white orb of the moon passing through the sky, stopping at its peak.
  4. >Luna sat out on the balcony, her eyes skyward and her horn glowing brightly with a white light.
  5. >The moon was acting... erratic for some reason.
  6. >Getting to your feet and out of your bed, you walked over to where Luna was.
  7. "What are you doing?"
  8. >"We are raising the moon, Anon."
  9. "I got that, but... why is it, you know. Not staying in place?"
  10. >Luna cracks a mischievous smile and giggle at you.
  11. >"We are performing a... "prank."
  12. "A prank."
  13. >"Verily."
  14. >She beams at you and goes back to moving the moon about in the sky.
  15. >You're confused.
  16. "Are... are you pranking the moon?"
  17. >"Come now, the moon does not understand the concept of jest. It is an inanimate celestial object."
  18. "..."
  19. >Luna giggles more and darts her head from side to side, as if someone might listen in on your conversation.
  20. >She motions for you to come closer.
  21. >You do.
  22. >She whispers.
  23. >"We are pranking this world's Princess Luna."
  24. >She squeals in delight and goes back to fucking around with the moon.
  25. "You... you're pranking yourself, then?"
  26. >"Precisely! We find it most amusing. Think, Anonymous, what could be going through our other self's mind? She must be thoroughly vexed."
  27. >Princess Luna pranking Princess Luna.
  28. "Good girl."
  29. >Luna titters to herself as the white glow from her horn fades.
  30. >Calming herself down and regaining her composure, Luna turns to you, smiling.
  31. >"We find that your lively nature is almost infectious. It livens our spirits when you are happy, so we assumed that being jovial would also lighten your mood."
  32. >She... she was being silly for you benefit?
  33. >To make you happier?
  34. >You feel a warmth in your chest and smile back at the princess.
  35. "Thanks. That means a lot."
  36. >She nods, but looks at you expectantly.
  37. >"You appear to want to speak with us. Is there something you wish to discuss.
  38. >Nodding, you walk over to her and lean against the railing of the balcony.
  39. >Ponyville can be seen faintly in the distance, mist blurring your view.
  40. >Your eyes narrow when you remember your last visit yesterday.
  41. >You were still angry.
  42. >You were still sad.
  43. >Sighing, you rub your face and clear your throat.
  44. "I want to leave."
  45. >Luna doesn't respond immediately, instead tilting her head slowly to the side in contemplation.
  46. >"What do you mean?"
  47. "I mean I want to leave. Here. This place. I want out."
  48. >"You wish to leave Ponyville?"
  49. >You nod.
  50. >As long as you were here, she'd always be a constant reminder of your anger and regret.
  51. >You needed a new view.
  52. >One that didn't include a quaint little village.
  53. >Luna brings a hoof to her mouth and ponders for a moment before her ears perk up.
  54. >"Adventure?"
  55. "What?"
  56. >"Before you arrived in Equestria, you were a wanderer. A... 'drifter' as you called it."
  57. "Pretty much. Most of the time I holed up in a town as a bartender for a while before moving on."
  58. >"So... let us go on a journey."
  59. >Huh.
  60. >That hadn't occurred to you at first.
  61. >Just you and Luna?
  62. >Traveling the land, going on an adventure.
  63. >...
  64. >You liked that.
  65. "Wait, Luna, what about your world? Won't it-"
  66. >"Celestia is back in control of our realm. She has remained... reasonable without your presence there. Besides, after a thousand years of raising the moon by herself, I think she can handle a few more."
  67. >That makes you smile.
  68. >So.
  69. >Adventure.
  70. >You could handle adventure.
  71. "Okay. Deal."
  72. >Luna claps her hooves together in excitement.
  73. >"Wonderful! We have read many things in regards to sights and experiences to be had in our land!"
  74. "Before we go off though, there's something I want to do."
  75. >"Hm?"
  76. "You said Celestia, YOUR Celestia, likes that I'm gone, right?"
  77. >"That's correct."
  78. >A devilish grin spreads across your face.
  79. >Luna smiles, but it slowly fades when she realizes what you want to do.
  80. >"Oh Anon... that's... are you sure?"
  81. >You give it a second of thought, then nod vigorously.
  82. "Abso-fuckin'-lutely."
  83. >Luna sighs, and gives in.
  84. >"Very well. I'm sure she'll be more than happy to see you again."
  85. >Her sarcasm is SO FUCKING palpable.
  86.
  87.
  88. >You are Princess Celestia.
  89. >You are in the middle of hosting a rather large and elegant banquet for the royalty of Equestria.
  90. >Raising a glass of wine with your magic, you tap the cup and a light ring goes through the room.
  91. >Your guests quiet down and look to you expectantly.
  92. "Dearest guests, I'm honored to have you here, sitting with me while enjoying this delicious feast."
  93. >Your guests clap politely.
  94. >You take a sip of your wine, savoring the taste it leaves on your tongue, and raise the glass once more.
  95. "May we have many more years of peace and harmony all across Equestria. Cheers!"
  96. >The room gives a hearty cheer, and eveyone drinks from their cups.
  97. >This was one of the loveliest dinner parties you have ever had.
  98. >You're about to take a bite of the cake in front of you, when you feel a light, delicate tap on your shoulder.
  99. >You turn your head.
  100. "Yes, what can I do for-"
  101. >Something shoots into your mouth, hitting the back of your throat.
  102. >It felt like... like...
  103. >Like someone just... spit, into your mouth.
  104. >Gagging in surprise, you look to see your attacker.
  105. >All you see is a face resembling a feline's, and it disappears in a shroud of light.
  106. >It's extending a digit on one of it's hands to you as it fades away.
  107. "...what?"
  108.
  109.
  110. >You appear back in front of Luna, giggling like a little school girl.
  111. >"So, how did it go?"
  112. "Oh Luna... Luna, babe. You should have seen her face."
  113. >Luna rolls her eyes, yet smiles and laughs to herself.
  114. >She must be imagining it.
  115. >Good.
  116. "So. I'm all set. Ready to head out?"
  117. >She grins and nods, unfurling her wings to stretch them out.
  118. >"That depends. Where should we go first?"
  119. >You turn back to face the faint outline of Ponyville.
  120. >You wanted to forget, for a while.
  121. >So you answer makes total sense, really.
  122. "Somewhere that's got plenty of booze."
  123. >Luna chuckles.
  124. >"We can handle that."
  125.
  126.
  127. >It was getting late.
  128. >Looking at all the baked good on the shelves around you, you let out a long sigh.
  129. >He had come to apologize, yet you didn't hear him out.
  130. >Instead, you had yelled in his face and told him to up and leave.
  131. >Maybe you should have apologized...
  132. >...
  133. >..no.
  134. >No, HE was the one who was supposed to say he was sorry.
  135. >He kissed the princess.
  136. >He said he still loved the princess.
  137. >And when you gave him an ultimatum, he had stayed on her side.
  138. >It was... it just wasn't...
  139. >It just.
  140. >Wasn't.
  141. >FAIR.
  142. >You pound your hooves on the counter in front of you, your frustration getting the better of you.
  143. >And now he was gone.
  144. >You told him to leave, and he had done just that.
  145. >A vile feeling rises in your stomach, and you cover your mouth.
  146. >Swallow it back, Pinkie.
  147. >Calm down, girl.
  148. >You stand there, very still, as you regain your composure.
  149. >You've been vomiting more often, lately.
  150. >You told Anon it was a type of flue you got.
  151. >After all, who else would throw up frosting?
  152. >But... that wasn't the case, at all.
  153. >You place a hoof to your abdomen, caressing it softly.
  154. >You just hadn't had the heart to tell him, you suppose.
  155. >And now he was gone.
  156. >...
  157. >You wonder if he was missing you right now...

  160.
  161. >Lights.
  162. >Dames.
  163. >Alcohol.
  164. >It wasn't the same as Vegas, but Las Pegasus had a certain charm to it.
  165. >You sat at a blackjack table, Luna at your side in her human form.
  166. >You look to your hand, then to Luna.
  167. >She nods.
  168. >You tap your finger on the table, and the dealer throws out the last card.
  169. >"Twenty one."
  170. >You shoot up and raise your arms in victory.
  171. "FUCK YEAH."
  172. >LUNA: "WOOWOO WOO WOO WOO!"
  173. "More drinks, Luna?"
  174. >"VERILY!"
  175.
  176. Hours Later
  177.
  178. >The two of you stumble into the hotel room you rented for the night.
  179. >Luna leans against your shoulder, drunk out of her mind and giggling like an idiot.
  180. >Then again, you were doing the same.
  181. >"Hehehe *hic* we must do this more often, Anon."
  182. "Yes. Yes I completely agree."
  183. >You help her over to the bed, and you try to let her down carefully.
  184. >Her foot catches yours and the two of you tumble to the bed.
  185. >"HA! We apologize, Anon. We *hic* we did not mean to... hehehehe..."
  186. >She's right on top of you, her eyes hazy from all the drinks you shared.
  187. >You tilt your head back and let out a hearty laugh.
  188. "Least it wasn't from the moon? Right?"
  189. >You laugh together, and calm down slightly.
  190. >Once done laughing, the two of you stare into each other's eyes.
  191. >She blushes, and inches towards you.
  192. >You like to think it was mostly the booze that caused what happened that night.
  193. >But to be honest, you wanted this.
  194. >Would you feel bad later?
  195. >Maybe.
  196. >You're not sure at this point.
  197. >But for the moment, you let yourself get lost in a world of bliss that was created in this bedroom.
  198. >You felt no regret.
  199. >And you liked it that way.
