>Your arms are still wrapped around Luna's neck, smoke and steam rising from the crater the two of you stand in.

>Pinkie Pie stands across from you, the bucket of frosting vomit beside her.

>The townsponies are staring at you, unblinking.

>They are...

>Stunned.

>Stunned at the wicked awesome fight sequence you just went through, and at the fact you kissed an inter dimensional princess.

"Uh."

>Pinkie stares daggers at you.

"I thought you were sick."

>PINK: "I thought you were trick-or-treating."

"I was. Then the fight with the shadow-thing happened."

>PINK: "And you kissed princess Luna why?"

"Uh."

>LUNA: "Uh."

>PINK: "You."

>LUNA: "Us?"

>PINK: "Yes, you."

>LUNA: "What-"

>PINK: "You don't speak. He does."

>LUNA: "Oh."

>PINK: "Yeah."

>Dear god, what have you done?

>You don't know what came over you. One minute you were embroiled in a battle alongside one of the closest ponies you'd ever known, the next you were sucking face with her.

>Wait.

>WAIT.

>IDEA.

"Pinkie."

>She stares at you, daggers still in her eyes.

>PINK: "No."

>Sweet jesus this was a nightmare...

>TRIX: "Anon!"

"WHAT?!"

>TRIX: "Did you try the kitty face?"

"YES."

>TRIX: "Did it work?"

"NO."

>TRIX: "Fuck."

>You and Luna separate and try to explain what just happened.

>It's kind of hard to do that when your special somep0ny got to the fight late and only saw the kissing bit.

>Pinkie continues to stare at the two of you, her expression dead and cold.

>This... this was going to be awkward.

>You turn to Luna, your face scratched and battle worn, and she smiles at you.

>That smile always seemed to give you confidence.

>Taking a deep breath, you decided to do something you almost never did.

>You thought this shit out.

"Pinkie? I know this looks really, really bad. So I'll be completely honest with you when it comes to questions. Okay?"

>PINK: "Were you just kissing the Princess?"

>OH FUCK LIE TO HER

"Yes."

>THAT'S NOT A LIE YOU ASSHOLE THAT'S THE TRUTH UUUUUUUGHH

"But it's not what you think! It's not because I love her or anything, it's because of all the adrenaline, the heat of battle, the-... the..."

>Luna looks to you, her expression pained, but understanding.

>She'd given you that same look when she looked into your mind before helping you come back to Equestria.

>When she learned about your feelings for Pinkie.

>Your face contorts into a frown, then a smile, then nothing really.

>This was a lot harder than you thought.

"I mean... I DO have feelings for Luna, that's a given. But I didn't mean to kiss her, I was just... I... wow this is difficult."

>The townsponies begin to murmur around you, curios about all of this.

>LUNA: "Perhaps we should continue this discussion in... private? We worry about prying eyes."

>PINK: "Who said you got to talk?"

>LUNA: "I... excuse me?"

"Pinkie, come on, don't be like that to-"

>PINK: "I'll be however I want to her, thank you very much. Maybe you were too busy locking lips with her to get the part of all this that says that I'm MAD."

>You shut up, and so does Luna.

>Dear god this was bad.

>You try to regain control of all this, but it's just not working out the way you want it to.

>Then she asks it.

>PINK: "Do you... do you still love her?"

"What? No, I-..."

>You stop.

"I... yes... yes I still do.."

>Luna swings her head to you, her eyes wide at your response.

>Pinkie remains expressionless, but for a split-second you can see lips quiver.

>And that... that's when her hair deflates.

"...Pinkie?"

>PINK: "Fine."

>She stands from where she was sitting and picks up her frosting bucket, and turns around.

"Pinkie wait."

>She starts to walk away back to the bakery.

>You run up to her and cut her off, but her eyes are emotionless to you.

>PINK: "If you love her so much then you can have her. I won't stop you."

"Pinkie please, it's not like that. I just... I just need to think this through, alright?"

>PINK: "Think things through?"

"Yeah."

>She laughs a little, then gives you a hard stare.

>PINK: "The Anon I love doesn't think things through. He's brash. Impulsive."

"But-"

>PINK: "If you know where I can find that Anon, then please point him out."

>You can't say anything.

>You're at a loss for words.

>PINK: "Because at the moment, I can't seem to find him."

>With that, Pinkie shoves past you and walks home.

>You stand there, dumbstruck.

>Your heart feels... what's the word?

>Broken?

>Cliche, but adequate.

>You look down to your feet, kicking a pebble or two, and turn back around to Luna, Trixie, and Hush.

>Hush is still in her human form.

>HUSH: "...dad?"

"...give me a minute..."

>You walk back into the tiny crater you and Luna made once you finished the fight, and slump down in the center of it.

>Trixe trots up to you, and places a hoof on you shoulder.

>Rubbing the space in between your eyes, you take a few deep breaths.

>Luna stands a few feet from you, her face hidden behind her mane.

>LUNA: "We... we did not mean to complicate things between you and Pinkie Pie, Anonymous."

"It's not your fault. Besides, she's right. I need to figure all this out."

>LUNA: "Would... do you want us to leave? We understand if you-"

"No."

>Luna perks her ears up.

"No, stay. Please."

>Luna looks conflicted, but smiles and nods.

>LUNA: "Very well. We shall quickly devise a place of rest for you in the mountains."

"Like the one back home?"

>Luna nods, then stares at you.

>You catch it too.

>You called the other Equestria "home."

>You've never felt this conflicted in your life.

>Ever.

>LUNA: "Yes... like the one back home. We will return shortly."

>With that, she flies off into the distance, towards the snowy mountains of Equestria.

>You'd give anything for some zany antics.

>But, sadly, it didn't look like that was happening tonight.

>You look over Hush.

"Sorry for ruining your first Nightmare Night, Hush. I kind of fucked up."

>Hush walks over to you and gives you a hug.

"Thanks squirt."

>TRIX: "Will you be alright?"

>You give a short laugh.

"Maybe. I don't know."

>Trixie sits next to you, and removes her hat.

>You take it into your hands ans look at all the stars on it.

>Seems like no matter where you ended up, stars seemed to follow.

>TRIX: "Who do you think you'll end up with?"

"What?"

>Trixie give a stern look.

"It's just a little abrupt to ask me that, don't you think?"

>TRIX: "It was a little abrupt for you to kiss Luna in front of Pinkie, don't you think?"

"Fuck off."

>TRIX: "Glad to see you're still slightly yourself."

>You grunt and rest your head in the palm of your hand, sighing.

>TRIX: "Anon?"

"...yeah?"

>TRIX: "You never answered my question."

"Oh... right."

>You look back to Sugarcube Corner.

>You loved her so much.

>The flap of wings turns your attention to Luna.

>You can hear her humming a song as she comes back.

>You know that song.

>The dark alicorn walks up to you, and bumps you with her snout.

>You turn back to Trixie, and give a weak smile.

"You know how they say you're supposed to fall in love with the girl next door?"

>Trixie nods.

"The girl next door happened to be on the moon."

>You look back to Luna, and nod, getting carefully on her back.

>And with that, the two of you fly off into the mountains.

>Hopefully, you would have figured all this out in a few days.

>Hopefully.

>Until then, you rested your head on Luna's back, her ehterial mane shrouding you in a cloak of dusk and stars.

>And as you two flew, you sang along with her.
