Pierrot in a nutshell, part 1

The story is called Pierrot. It's a second-person story.

 

So here's our protagonist, Shuffle. He runs a tarot card business. He has been having nightmares lately, and they always involve the same routine; wait in a room with an obnoxious clock, get fetched by some burly guard, walk down a hallway with no dialogue besides "<insert question>" "I'm not at liberty to say." Or, if he asked him "Why am I here?" he'd stop, glare at Shuffle, and tell him "You know why, you bastard."

 

Then, comes the climax. He arrives at the destination, a courtroom. He then bites his lip really hard(like, drawing blood hard) to wake up. What? You expect him to solve his cognitive dissonance this early?

 

So then he wakes up, gets ready, and in the process reveals some things about himself via his actions: he can be snarky, and a bit of a goof.

 

After getting ready, retrieving his iconic, yet ridiculous turban, as well as the tent supplies, he makes his way to Mane Street(I'm unimaginative, sue me), and runs into the Cutie Mark Crusaders, who promise to get a reading, before arriving. He then sets up the tent, and a table and deck of cards, Phoenix Tarot. The Crusaders arrive and he gives them a reading, covered in detail. After they leave, frustrated, another pony enters, in concealing clothing. A lock of silver and baby blue hair can be seen, however. The chapter ends with her paying Shuffle and saying "Trixie wishes to redeem herself."
