  1. >Day 110 in Deadquestria
  2. >You wake up, just like normal
  3. >Luna is sleeping in your bed, just like normal
  4. >You get up, just like normal
  5. >A deviant thought crosses your mind, just like normal
  6. >You slap the still-sleeping Luna's ass, just like normal
  7. >She chucks another one of your multitude of ugly vases at you, just like normal
  8. >However, unlike normal, this time you're a bit slow to duck
  9. >The vase impacts your head
  10. "Fuck!"
  11. >You start bleeding from a deep gash on your head
  12. >Luna, who is now fully awake, is flipping out
  13. >"Oh no! Nononono, Anon! No!"
  14. >The last thing you see before blacking out is her horn glowing
  15.
  16. >You wake up some time later
  17. >You're in Ponyville hospital
  18. >Luna is holding your hand in her forehooves
  19. >It looks like she's saying something, but you can't seem to hear it
  20. >You try to focus harder on hearing what she's saying
  21. >"This is all our fault, Anon... why didn't we just throw out all those vases in the first place..."
  22. >You try to speak, but nothing comes out
  23. >Nurse Redheart comes into the room and says that visiting hours are over
  24. >Luna shoots her a glare
  25. >Redheart stammers and says something along the lines of "visiting hours don't apply to royalty, of course"
  26. >She turns and trots out of the room without saying anything to you
  27. >...That's weird, why wouldn't she be asking how you're doing?
  28. >Then you notice that you're not in the bed
  29. >Well, not entirely in the bed
  30. >Your body sure is!
  31. >You're a ghost
  32.
  33. ONE MASSIVE FREAK-OUT LATER
  34. >Okay, you can deal with this
  35. >They're still treating your body like it's alive
  36. >So there's gotta be a way to fix this
  37. >Right?
  38. >Yeah, you just gotta talk to Celestia, she probably knows how to fix this
  39. >Or maybe Twi-
  40. >Memories surface of the last time you let Twilight cast a spell on you
  41. >NOT TWILIGHT
  42. >NEVER AGAIN
  43. >NOPE
  44. >You shudder involuntarily
  45. >Actually, now that you think about it, you're not sure you can talk
  46. >You focus on speaking
  47. "Luna! I'm right here! LUNA! What the fuck is going on, here? Why am I a ghost?"
  48. >You can't seem to get her attention, this shit isn't working!
  49. >Look like you can't communicate like this
  50. >...Or can you?
  51. >You focus with all of your might
  52. >You can feel your energy collecting in the palm of your hand
  53. >With a grin plastered on your spectral face, you send Luna a message the only way you know how
  54.
  55. >Luna leaps up with a yelp, blush on her cheeks
  56. >She looks all around the room, trying to discern the origin of the unique sensation she felt on her flank
  57. >Her eyes rest on your body, laying on the hospital bed
  58. >"Anon, was that you?"
  59. >You gladly give her a response that only deepens the red on her face
  60. >"You truly are a pervert at heart, even when in a coma, Anonymous."
  61. >A coma?
  62. >Well shit
  63. >At least you aren't completely dead
  64. >You focus again and try drawing a question mark on Luna's flank
  65. >She seems to feel it - you're getting better at this shit, even if it's really tiring you out
  66. >She breathes in, sharply
  67. >"Oh, do you have to do that so close to- um, I mean... nevermind."
  68. >You start to write out "coma?" on her flank
  69. >You manage to get as far as "com" before you can't seem to muster up enough energy to write anymore
  70. >She looks a bit confused, and contemplates for a moment
  71. >"Anon, I'm going to try a perception spell, it might make it easier for us to communicate. Please, don't go anywhere."
  72. >Her horn glows, as do her eyes
  73. >You can feel the magic swirling around the room
  74. >The room is bathed in a white light
  75. >When it fades, everything in the room looks oversaturated with color
  76. "Damn, that shit is bright!"
  77. >Luna jumps a bit, and she turns to face you
  78. >"Anon! We were- I mean- I was- so scared!"
  79.
  80. "You can hear me? And see me?"
  81. >"Yes. I'm so sorry, Anon!"
  82. "You can apologize later. I'd really like to be put back in my body, now."
  83. >"Anonymous, I... don't know... how to do that."
  84. "Well, there's got to be some way! Can't you think of anyth-"
  85. >That's when you noticed that you and Luna weren't alone in the room
  86. >If you had blood to drain from your face, it would've gone pale
  87. >Standing across from the two of you, near your body, is that smug fucking asshole
  88. >"Anonymous?"
  89. >You point
  90. >Luna turns to look at the same spot you're pointing at
  91. >"What is it? I- I don't see anything..."
  92. "You fucking prick! Get the fuck away from me!"
  93. >"What? What is it? Who?"
  94. >Before you stands a man, wrapped in a black cloak
  95. >His... hands, if you can really call them that, grip a large scythe
  96. >He also happens to be a fucking skeleton
  97. >You stare at the grisly smile on his face
  98. >Seems he really didn't take too kindly to you profiting off him earlier this week
  99. "It's Death, Luna."
  100.
  101. >"D-Death? Here?"
  102. >Her eyes go wide
  103. >"No! You can't have him, he's mine!"
  104. >You break your stare with Death to raise an eyebrow at Luna
  105. >She looks at you
  106. >"Don't give me that look."
  107. >You slowly lower your eyebrow and return to your staring match with Death
  108. >Wait a minute this fucker doesn't even have eyes
  109. >You feel like an idiot
  110. >Death chuckles
  111. >God damn that is a creepy fucking noise!
  112. {We meet at last, Anonymous. I thought you'd be... smarter.}
  113. >Chills run up your spi- you don't have a spine right now
  114. >Okay chills would be running up your spine, if you had one
  115. >Your body shivers
  116. "What?"
  117. >Death doesn't look too happy
  118. {Tsk, tsk, tsk... we can't have that. I'm going to have to finish the job.}
  119. "Like hell you're 'finishing the job', you little shit!"
  120. {Now, now, Anonymous, watch your language.}
  121. "Suck my dick, asshole."
  122. {Now, how exactly do you presume I do that?}
  123. >You can't think of a witty comeback for that one
  124.
  125. >"Anonymous, stop trying to piss off Death! This isn't a game!"
  126. >Huh
  127. >Maybe you can't think of any good comebacks...
  128. >But you can think of something else
  129. "Actually, Luna, that's exactly what this is. You owe me a gamble, Death. I win, and you have to give me back my life."
  130. {And if I win, you forfeit any afterlife you would have been given, and I get to personally torment your soul for eternity.}
  131. "Afraid you'll lose?"
  132. >Death lets out a wheezing, raspy laugh
  133. >Your body shivers again
  134. {You think you can best me? I would certainly like to see you try! What would you like me to beat you at, before I take your soul?}
  135. >You smile
  136. "Rock, Paper, Scissors. Best three out of five."
  137. >Luna facehoofs
  138. >"You can't be serious."
  139. "I'm always serious. Let's do this."
  140. >Death sets down his scythe, and brings one skeletal fist up
  141. >You do the same
  142. "You shouldn't take me for GRANITE, Death."
  143. >You both shoot
  144. >He chose scissors, you chose rock
  145. >He groans as a spectral flame appears over your head
  146. "I'm a CUT above the rest!"
  147. >You chose scissors, he chose paper
  148. >He grunts in annoyance as a second flame flares into existence over your head
  149.
  150. "You should just FOLD while you have the chance!"
  151. >He straightens up, apparently having caught something
  152. >You throw down paper as he throws down scissors
  153. >A flame appears over his head, now
  154. >He laughs, your body shivering again
  155. "Don't you get fucking SNIPPY with me!"
  156. >You throw out scissors, he threw out rock
  157. >A second flame appears over his head
  158. {You fool! NOBODY beats me.}
  159. "Shut up and finish. My freedom is just a STONE's throw away!"
  160. >You both throw down at the same time
  161. >Death starts laughing up a storm
  162. {Your soul is mine, mortal!}
  163. "Hey, jackass, why don't you fucking pay attention?"
  164. {What?}
  165. >He looks down
  166. >He threw out paper
  167. >You threw down with some scissors
  168. "Who's smart now, jackass? You're the one who took the bait."
  169. {WHAT?! FOR THE LOVE OF! DAMN IT!}
  170. >Death angrily grabs his scythe
  171. "I won. Now put me back in my body."
  172. >Death growls at you
  173. {...Very well. I will get you eventually, Anonymous.}
  174. >Death impales you on his scythe and throws you into your body
  175. >Your eyes shoot open and you gasp a deep lungful of air
  176.
  177. >Luna throws her forelimbs around you in a hug as you shoot upright in bed
  178. >"Anonymous! You... you won?"
  179. "Of course I won."
  180. >She's crying
  181. >"Please... don't go again."
  182. "I'll try not to, but it would probably help if you didn't chuck things at me in the morning anymore."
  183. >She sniffles
  184. >"...Okay."
  185. "Hey, Luna?"
  186. >You run a hand through her mane
  187. >"Yes?"
  188. "I want to thank you for the idea you gave me."
  189. >She pulls back from you
  190. >"What do you mean?"
  191. "You gave me the idea to gamble for my soul."
  192. >"That was a reckless thing to do, Anon, and I'm sorry I gave you the idea."
  193. "On the contrary, Luna, it was brilliant..."
  194. >She gives you a confused look
  195. "In fact, I intend to pay you for your idea... in RAPE DOLLARS!"
  196. >She gasps
  197. >"No, Anon! N-"
  198. >"Oh- oh! Oh, yes!"
  199. Nobody in the hospital slept that night.
