  1. >You are Anon.
  2. >Recently you had begun to watch MLP, which your friends said was worth the time.
  3. >You didn't see the appeal but figured you'd give it a try.
  4. >After the first few episodes you found it was alright, but didn't really enjoy it until Discord made his first appearance.
  5. >It was a win-win situation; you liked his personality and the chaotic aspect made a nice contrast to the rest of the show.
  6. >He also happened to be voiced by one of your favourite voice actors.
  7. >Through the rest of the show's extent you were disappointed at the few appearances he made, but enjoyed the show nevertheless.
  8. >After finishing the series, you started reading on boards and such about fanfictions and sketches.
  9. >A few of your friends even mentioned cons you could go to.
  10. >You weren't too keen on going though, especially with the reputation they seem to have.
  11. >Time after time they would invite you, and you'd politely decline.
  12. >Until the local con, that is.
  13. >You had no intention of going until you were informed that John de Lancie would be there.
  14. >Refusing to dress up (at the disappointment of your friends(who are diehard fans, apparently)) you headed to the con.
  15. >Once there, it didn't seem as bad as everyone made out.
  16. >...Until the throng of cosplayers was found.
  17. >You avoided those and broke away from everyone else.
  18. >De Lancie wasn't scheduled to arrive for another hour or so, which means you needed to keep yourself busy.
  19. >After walking for a while, you found yourself in a large auditorium filled with all sorts of booths.
  20. >They were quite assorted; a few sold homemade toys, some plushies, and quite a few were offering sketches.
  21. >You looked at a few stands, but one stood out to you.
  22. >It was a small table away from everyone else; a banner taped to the front read “Visit Equestria today!”
  23. >You were stricken with curiosity, and checked it out.
  24. >There was one man sitting there who looked to be in his early 40s.
  25. >He seemed quite cheery.
  26. >”You there! How would you like to partake in a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity?”
  27. >You stop a few feet from the table, and look to make sure he wasn't talking to anyone else.
  28. >The man chuckled; his voice and laugh was eerily familiar.
  29. >”Yes, you my boy! Imagine, if you will, a tour through the /magical/ land of Equestria!”
  30. >Quite a bit of emphasis on magical. You aren't too convinced.
  31. “And what's the catch here? Do I have to empty my pockets for you or inject something?”
  32. >Another laugh. You swear you've heard this voice before.
  33. >”Nothing of the sort! All I need is for you to say yes!”
  34. >You think about it.
  35. >While it seems like it's bullshit (and it probably is, you tell yourself), you're interested to see what they've cooked up.
  36. >You also want to figure out why his voice is so damn familiar.
  37. “You swear there's no catch?”
  38. >”None at all, my boy! All you have to do is say yes.”
  39. >That grin almost looks too happy, but at this point blind curiosity overthrows rational thought.
  40. “Sure, why not. Let's go visit Equestria.”
  41. >His laugh is almost contagious.
  42. >”Splendid, splendid! Now, just let me get a few things organized...”
  43. >He snaps his fingers and the table is gone.
  44. >Wait, what?
  45. “How...how did you do that?”
  46. >”Magic, my dear boy!”
  47. “...Magic.”
  48. >”You say it as if you've never heard of such a thing!”
  49. >With another snap of his fingers, the man shifts, rather spectacularly, into Discord.
  50. >In the flesh.
  51. >Well, that's where you recognize the voice.
  52. >You're absolutely baffled at this point.
  53. “How did you...where did...ugh”
  54. >You rub your temples. God, please let this be a dream.
  55. >”Calm down, boy! We haven't even arrived yet!
  56. >You ignore him and rub your temples some more.
  57. >He puts a hand(claw) on your shoulder, startling you.
  58. >”A word of warning; you're going to want to hold your breath.”
  59. >Before you get a chance to acknowledge what he said, you're both enveloped in a white flash.
  60.
  61. >It takes your eyes a few moments to readjust after the blinding flash of light.
  62. >But when they do, you're quite awestruck.
  63. >This is Equestria, alright.
  64. >Buildings were upside down, some uprooted from the ground.
  65. >It was your favourite episode, almost like it was recreated just for you.
  66. >They must have done some background work before deciding you'd go to 'Equestria'.
  67. >”Now, I know it isn't quite what you were probably expecting...”
  68. >Discord rubs the back of his neck, almost as if he did something to upset you.
  69. >”...but I took the liberty of revamping it to my likings.”
  70. >You're in awe.
  71. “This...”
  72. “This is AWESOME!”
  73. >He's taken aback by what you said.
  74. >”You...like what I did with the place?”
  75. “Why wouldn't I? You're easily one of my favourite characters, and the fact that you basically recreated one of the best episodes is quite impressive.”
  76. >”...Excuse me?”
  77. >You chuckle.
  78. “You don't really expect me to believe you're the REAL Discord, do you?”
  79. >Now he's beyond confused.
  80. >”What do you mean? Of course I'm the real Discord! The one and only!”
  81. “Yeah, sure. And I'm Princess Luna!”
  82. >Discord cocks his head and looks at you funnily.
  83. >”Are you sure?”
  84. “Oh, totally. Can't you tell?”
  85. >”Oh, yes, definitely. I simply ask because Luna's just over there.”
  86. >You freeze in place.
  87. >Turning around slowly, who else but the princess is standing no more than five feet away from you.
  88. >Discord chuckles quietly behind you, and Luna looks quite pissed.
  89. “Oh. Well, uh, hi there, Luna.”
  90. >”Discord, I've come to negotiate with you.”
  91. >She looks at you with a disgusted look on her face (though you swear she's hiding something; her eyes give it away).
  92. >”And what is this thing?”
  93. >”Why, this is...”
  94. >He looks down at you.
  95. >”...Hey kid, what did you say your name was?”
  96. “I didn't?”
  97. >”Well, what is it?”
  98. >Luna shouts over at you two; “What are you two whispering about over there?”
  99. >Discord shouts back: “Noooooothing!”
  100. “It's Anonymous, by the way.”
  101. >”This thing, I'll have you know, is Anonymous!”
  102. >”Whatever his name is, I have negotiations I wish to go over with you.”
  103. >”Can Anonymous come? I'd be ever so lonely if I went by myself...”
  104. >Luna sighs. You chuckle.
  105. >”Fine. But he is not to have a say on our negotiations, understood?”
  106. >”Sure, sure!” He looks back to you; “Come on, let's go have some fun!”
  107. >Discord begins to follow Luna, and you closely behind him.
  108. >After a few minutes of walking you arrive at what appears to be the only building that isn't affected by this.
  109. >Surprisingly, it's Twilight's treebrary.
  110. >All three of you head in; it's quite barren to your amazement, spare a table and a few chairs in the center.
  111. >Luna takes a seat at one end, and gestures for you two to sit at the opposite end.
  112. >Discord pipes up: “I do hope you don't mind if I make the two of us comfy...”
  113. >With a snap of his fingers two extremely soft-looking chairs appear.
  114. >You both take a seat and she sighs.
  115. >”Now, let's begin our negotiations.
