Lyra's Dark Living Room, A Short Story

You don't know how you found yourself in the nation of Equestria, neither do you know what has lurked outside. For what seemed like an eternity, a mint green pony, Lyra, has taken care of you, protected you from the outside world. No way would a human like yourself survive amongst 75 foot tall ponies, lest you'd be crushed by some other pony, or worse...

 

It's been about 3 days since you've arrived, and Lyra has come home after a long day's work. Still hiding in the dollhouse set up for you to live, you spy at Lyra's roommate, BonBon, who always seems to be talking to Lyra about her appetite. Not the best roommate to have around, you think, seeing as Lyra's doing what it takes to keep your relationship between you and herself a little secret from BonBon.

 

Night falls, and as BonBon hits the hay, Lyra comes to your makeshift home to play.

 

"Psst, Anon, you in there?" Lyra pokes at the dollhouse, rousing you from your sleep. You eagerly make your way to the window, poking your head out and looking up into Lyra's golden eyes. "What's the matter, Miss Lyra?"

 

"Anon, is...is it okay if you sleep with me tonight? I really want to know more about where you came from."

 

Normally, you'd refuse, not because you don't like Lyra, but because of the many dangers that would acompany your sleeping with a mare over 10 times your size. However, looking into those warm, innocent, heavenly eyes, you can't help but say yes. But little does she know that you have an idea for tonight.

 

As the hours pass and time moves on through the night, you tell her all about you and the world you came from, and how you found yourself here. You laugh and give her a warm embrace, and she gives you a kiss goodnight.

 

After a minute of struggling, you break free of her grasp, making your way through under the blanket covering you both. You come to the edge of the bed and gaze upon two mountainous green cylinders, her soft hindhooves. You take a moment to move in closer...
