  1. ~To future readers - after this first entry the story mixes journal entries with greentext format. Don't flip your shit just yet if you don't like these stories without the greentext.~
  2.
  3. "Where to start.....
  4. How about before the beginning.
  5. In my past life, I was a human. It was short, and it was painful. My mother left when I was born, leaving my father to do his best to try to support me. Apparently, his idea of supporting me was blowing all his money on booze and drinking himself into a coma every night. How he even supported his habit is beyond me; I had to help support our lives, and I don't recall him doing much work. Whatever, I don't miss him in the least.
  6. I don't remember how that life ended.  Maybe it's better that way; no lingering fear or phobia.  What's important is what came directly "after," if the term even applies.  Word choice is about to be important here.  You see, I experienced a consciousness after my passing.  In this period, I was contacted by some being, possibly a deity, maybe what many would call "God," though I was never one for such beliefs.  I could tell it regarded me with such love that I could not even begin to describe it to you.  It was apologetic about the twenty years of hurt I went through, but promised me that it will be worth it before dropping me here.
  7. Here, being Equestria.  More specifically, Canterlot Palace.  And even more specifically, the throne room of the Princesses, thankfully not while they had visitors.
  8. Needless to say, they were very surprised by the sudden appearance of a large, somewhat stretched monkey sort of creature with significantly less hair in their own throne room.  What was really surprising, at least in my opinion, is how kind they were.  Nobility would have me thrown in jail, maybe even executed, right?  The two are sisters from what I gathered:  two Princesses, Celestia the sun goddess and Luna the moon goddess.  In this world, I guess Celestia raises the sun while Luna raises the moon?  I never studied astronomy but that has to have some serious implications.  The world doesn't move around the two, and not in an irregular pattern; do seasons even exist here?  Weather seems to exist, though I don't see how.  For that matter, what about beyond?  There can't be any other planets orbiting.  Is there even anything beyond this system?  Perhaps this is an entirely different plane of existence with its own physical properties and laws.  This brings me to the next disturbing subject.
  9. Magic.  It's real here; it's undenaiably real.
  10. Celestia showed me when we sat down for tea during our discussion.  There was a faint shimmer around both her horn and the object she manipulates.  My only hypothesis is that the horn somehow enables the caster to inflict energy, and therefore force, on an object, achieving levitation.  She hinted at other forms of magic beyond levitation, however.  At this point, I feel it's best to just stop trying to understand how this world works, especially considering the means of how I got here.
  11. >Rereading, you realize how rambly you became contemplating the workings of magic.  Too late you realize there is no erasing ink from a quill.  Lesson learned:  think before you write.
  12. >The ponies who would read this probably wouldn't even understand your alien point of view and scientific standpoint.  Part of the point you guess, but still.
  13. I entered the scene as the world was going to sleep, apparently.  I felt about ready to crash myself.  The Princesses offered me a guest room until they decide what to do with me.  Fair enough.  Celestia escorted me to the room personally, where she pulled out a blank book from the shelves and offered it to me with the suggestion of keeping a journal.  She told me straight that she didn't believe there would be any way for me to go back to my world, though I assured her I didn't care.
  14. It wasn't like I had something worth returning to anyways.
  15. She said that I, being a new sort of creature, will be studied very thoroughly.  It's understandable; if one of these ponies appeared on Earth they'd be on a dissection table within the day.  I get a different sort of feeling from these Princesses though.  They seem to actually care about me.  She said this would be a fine way to let me be studied while also attempting to live as normal of a life as possible.  It seems legit, though I have to wonder, why?  Surely there must be a motive, something she wants from me that tact wouldn't let her say outright?  People are like that, right?  I have doubts that one in a position of such power is actually this kind."
