  1. >You are Anon
  2. >You wake up in the middle of a forest, with no memory of how you got there
  3. >Or anything, for that matter
  4. >You struggle to stand up, you feel like you have been run over by a truck
  5. >There isn’t much around you, just trees, trees, and even more trees
  6. >You close your eyes, trying to remember anything about the situation
  7. >Then, your ears seem to pick up something
  8. >Off to your right, there is a faint sound cutting through the thick foliage
  9. >You can barely hear it, but its there
  10. >Any civilization is a good thing, right?
  11. >Unless, of course, it’s some voodoo cannibal tribe thing
  12. >On your right, there is a trail cutting deeper into the woods
  13. >You can feel a cool breeze coming from that direction
  14. >The sun is starting to set, you need to make a decision
  15.
  16.
  17. >You decide to duck into a nearby bush for the night
  18. >No use trying to fight our way through an unknown forest at night
  19. >You sit down and keep an eye out for anything that might be around
  20. >You were too anxious to sleep, so there was nothing to do besides wait
  21.  >The moon was rising, offering some light so you could keep a better eye out
  22. >As you sat there, your mind began to wander
  23. >What kind of place was this? Is there even any sentient life?
  24. >Sure, you heard some noises off in the distance, but that could have been anything
  25. >Then, you hear rustling behind you, interrupting your thoughts
  26. >You jump up, scanning the area for any movement
  27. >Then, you are hit in the back of the head, knocking you unconscious
  28.
  29. --
  30.
  31. >You wake up with a start
  32. >Your head was throbbing, whatever hit you did its job
  33. >You look around you, and see that you’re in a type of cell
  34. >There is an odd green glow emitting from an unknown source, but it gives just enough light to see
  35. >The cell was made out of solid rock, with crude bars blocking the entrance
  36. >You try to stand up, but some kind of thick green goo has you pinned to the floor
  37. >Then, you hear voices coming your way, and they do not sound pleased
  38. >The door slammed open, and in walked the strangest creature you have ever seen
  39. >It was a tall, black pony, but that wasn’t what caught your attention
  40. >It had a bunch of holes all over its body, its legs, horn everything
  41. >Even its mane had holes
  42. >It looked at you for a second, then spoke in a smooth yet cautious tone
  43. “My name is Chrysalis, Queen of the Changlings. My subjects have brought you here because you were trespassing in my kingdom. Now, what is your business?”
  44.
  45.
  46.
  47. >You struggle against your bonds at the abomination, rage coursing though every fiber of your being
  48. >Her eyes widen at your sudden act of aggression, but quickly composes herself
  49. “It seems that there is some fight in you. That is good. You might just be useful for my plans.”
  50. >You stop struggling and gaze blankly at her
  51. >”Plans? What kind of plans?”
  52. >She flashes a fanged smile at you
  53. >It wasn’t all that reassuring
  54. “You’ll see, if you behave. Now, let’s get you up off the floor.”
  55. >Her horn glows green, and the goo that has you pinned down is lifted, taking you with it
  56. >She frees your legs, but keeps your arms crossed around your chest
  57. “Now, follow me, and I will answer any questions that you have.”
  58.
  59.
  60. >You follow her out of the cell and into a tunnel
  61. >It looks like you’re in a cave system of some sort
  62. >”So, what seems to be the problem?”
  63. >She doesn’t answer immediately, leading you through one tunnel after another
  64. “Something has been attacking my hive. They only attack when we are out in the open, usually a scouting group. The only thing they leave behind is mangled bodies and a strange black sludge. Few have survived an attack, and those who have, are…”
  65. >She stops with an abrupt halt, and you nearly bump into her
  66. >She looks back at you with a quick glance, then continues her journey, faster than before
  67. “Something is hunting my swarm. I need you to help me take care of it. You are obviously have the stomach for violence.”
  68. >Well, she wasn’t wrong
  69. >She stops in front of an opening covered by a black curtain
  70. >You can hear a chorus of moans of agony
  71. “Here is what happened to the survivors.”
  72. >You enter the room together, and you are met with the most disturbing site you have ever seen
  73. >Dozens of ponies, or at least you think they were ponies, were laying in beds, all with some sort of hideous affliction
  74. >With the less severe ones you could actually see the holes in their legs, just like Chrysalis
  75. >The rest were disfigured beyond recognition
  76. >The one nearest you looked like its flesh was melting off
  77. >You looked at Chrysalis, who was trying her hardest to maintain composure
  78.
  79.
  80.
  81.
  82. >Man, this place seems depressing
  83. >Nothing a little bit of pole dancing can’t fix
  84. >You go over to an IV stand and start swinging on it
  85. >Which was an astonishing feat, considering you were only using your legs
  86. >Chrysalis, on the other hand, didn’t find that so amusing
  87. >You feel a strong force grip your body and slam you against the wall
  88. >Chrysalis gets right in your face and snarls at you
  89. “Do you think this is funny you maggot?”
  90. >”Well I thought it was pre-URK”
  91. >Suddenly your throat seals shut, Chrysalis looking livid
  92. “If you want to live, I suggest you keep the jokes to yourself. Are you done playing games?”
  93. >You have no other choice than to feverishly nod your head, your vision starting to go black
  94. >She drops you to the floor, and you gasp for breath, trying not to throw up
  95. “Now, if you’ll just follow me, we can move on with my plan.”
  96. >She turned sharply and stalked out of the room
  97. >You get up and stagger after her
  98. >You follow her in silence through the cave
  99. >After a few twist and turns, you are met with a blinding light
  100. >Squinting from the daylight, you manage to make out a troop of hole ponies
  101. >Chrysalis said something about being queen of changelings
  102. >They must be what they call themselves
  103. >A group of about five changelings bring up a large black chariot, and Chrysalis climbs in
  104. “Well, are you coming?”
  105. >She really expected you to climb in that thing
  106. >It’s not like you have any other choice, however
  107. >As soon as you climb in, the chariot takes off
  108. >How, you have no idea
  109. >Chrysalis studies you for a second, then opens her mouth
  110. “Do you have a name, creature?”
  111. >”…Anon. You can call me Anon.”
  112. “Well, Anon, I hope that you have more in you than just anger.”
  113. >”What do you mean?”
  114. >She turned her head to look at the landscape below
  115. “Let’s just say I’m meeting an old friend.”
