  2.
  3. ---
  4.
  5. Apple Bloom was impressed. She'd never seen anypony kick a ball that hard. Not even her special buck-volley could get that far.
  6.
  7. I went to retrieve the ball, dribbling it back to the filly, before passing it to her from about twenty metres with precise aim. She trapped the ball under her hoof and tried a buck-volley.
  8.
  9. The ball went flying...into my forehead. Apple Bloom gasped. This wasn't intentional.
  10.
  11. "Anon, ah'm sorry! Ah didn't mean-" she began to say, until I interrupted her.
  12.
  13. "No need to apologise," I assured her. The ball had come off my forehead and ballooned in the air. Getting under it, I headed it back up, then juggled it between my feet. "We use our heads to control the ball in soccer."
  14.
  15. Apple Bloom felt all of the guilt wash away from inside her. "Okay Anon," she replied.
  16.
  17. I felt a few drops of rain on my head. "It's coming down again, let's go," I said.
  18.
  19. Me and the filly ran inside. It was only ten thirty in the morning (The Manchester-Arsenal match was a late start in England, 6:45am local time), there was more to do with Apple Bloom. While I went to figure it out, I put the ABC channel on for the filly, giving her some kid shows to watch.
  20.
  21. ---
  22.
  23. I wasn't able to figure out anything else we could do, so I decided to spend my time on the computer. This was where I spent loads of my spare time.
  24.
  25. I opened up my Minecraft world and continued on from where I had left: Mining for diamond. I at least wanted to get a diamond sword, but my iron pick was close to breaking. I mined forward some more, and the pick broke. Oh well, I have plenty of iron at home.
  26.
  27. After an hour or two, I'd made progress. After creating more torches and picks, I finally struck diamond and created a sword and a pick. One of the zombies I killed dropped a carrot, and I began building a carrot farm.
  28.
  29. "What's thayt, Anon?"
  30.
  31. I nearly jumped out of my seat. I turned my desk chair around and saw Apple Bloom looking at the computer screen from the floor.
  32.
  33. "Uninteresting TV shows left?" I asked.
  34.
  35. "Yeah, ah dun lahk the ones on yer, uh..."
  36.
  37. "Television?"
  38.
  39. "Yah, th' 'tellyvishun' thang,"
  40.
  41. She looked at the computer screen again. "So, what is thayt Anon?"
  42.
  43. "This," I explained, "is my favourite game. A game where I can do what I want, with no boundaries or limits: Minecraft."
  44.
  45. "Mahncraft?"
  46.
  47. ---
  48.
  49. "I'll show you what it is," I explained to Apple Bloom, picking her up and putting her down on my lap, feeling the warmth of her body resting on me. Better than an electric blanket in winter, I thought.
  50.
  51. I started guiding my player around, showing off all of the things I could do. I showed Apple Bloom my house, the farms and the blocks one could make. "It's kind of like being the only human being on Earth, and your job is to survive," I said.
  52.
  53. When it reached night, I showed Apple Bloom all of the dangerous creatures.
  54.
  55. "Now, I have to kill these because they try to kill me," I explained. "See that green thing in the distance?" I pointed to the screen, showing a little green figure moving about.
  56.
  57. "Ah see it," Apple Bloom replied.
  58.
  59. "That's called a creeper. If it gets close to you, it hisses and explodes unless you run away or kill it."
  60.
  61. To demonstrate my point, I walked over to the creeper. It immediately began to track me. Timing my escape, I waited until the creeper was close, then hopped away while it hissed. The creeper exploded, leaving a crater of dirt blocks littered around.
  62.
  63. "Ah cayn't hear anyth'n," the filly said.
  64.
  65. ---
  66.
  67. Oh right, I had headphones on.
  68.
  69. "Didn't realise, hang on a second," I replied. I took the headphones off of my head and put it on Apple Bloom's head, trying to adjust the lengths of the headphones so that the speakers were positioned on her ears and not on her cheeks. I wasn't having any luck, though.
  70.
  71. "Darn, it's a bit too big," I mumbled. I had an idea, though. I adjusted the headphones to the shortest length, then pulled the arc up until the speakers were on her ears, Then, I pulled the arc back and rested it on her hairbow. To my surprise, her hairbow (being that large) was strong enough to support the arc without it falling.
  72.
  73. "Well, there's another usage for that other than being a really cute thing to wear," I said. Apple Bloom giggled.
  74.
  75. "Anon, yer bein' hurt on Mahn...somethin'!" she shouted. I looked over and sure enough, a spider was biting my character. I quickly took control of the mouse and slashed the spider to death, receiving two string for my efforts.
  76.
  77. "Okay, now that's over, listen out for the sounds," I said.
  78.
  79. She waited patiently. "Ah hear water flowin', ah can also hear moanin',"
  80.
  81. "Moaning? That means a zombie. You try and kill it," I replied, turning my mouse towards the zombie and then putting the filly's hoof on the mouse. "Put the little plus on the zombie and then press the left side of this instrument constantly."
  82.
  83. Apple Bloom watched as the expressionless creature came close to the screen. She began clicking the mouse, but was confused to as why the sword was blocking her.
  84.
  85. "Oops, wrong sahd," she giggled, pressing the left side of the mouse and hearing an audible clicking sound. The sword swung at the zombie, harming it and knocking it back. The zombie started walking back.
  86.
  87. After clicking three more times, the zombie went down, dropping some flesh.
  88.
  89. ---
  90.
  91. We spent hours playing Minecraft. During this time, I made a world for Apple Bloom to survive in. When she got bored of that, I made another world in Creative Mode for her so she could practise building whatever she wanted.
  92.
  93. I glanced at the clock. "Holy craaaa....nberry sauce, it's 3pm," I gasped, picking up Apple Bloom so I could get out of my seat, setting her down as I got off. I went to the television and turned it on.
  94.
  95. Apple Bloom glanced over her shoulder.
  96.
  97. "Wutcha doin'?" she asked.
  98.
  99. "There's a match on," I explained, flicking to the right channel. A big match between Melbourne and the Gold Coast. The commentators were talking about the squads.
  100.
  101. "...will be a great match today at Etihad Stadium. The line-up for Melbourne, Jamar is back in after three weeks with a hammy, but the high-flyer Howe is out after that hit on Stanton last week," one of the commentators noted.
  102.
  103. Apple Bloom looked at the screen. She knew it was a sport, but it wasn't hoofball or 'soccer'. The humans that were on the television were on an oval field, not a rectangular one. The ball was oval-shaped as well, not spherical. Additionally, the humans were very muscular.
  104.
  105. The filly took off the headphones and got off of the chair. She walked over to me and sat on her haunches.
  106.
  107. "Anon, wut's this?" she asked.
  108.
