Well, sorta, since they don't like us much still." >"But it's not that bad! I can practice drawing since they leave us alone." >She reaches in her bag slung on the chair and pulls out a binder >She opens it up to a page to reveal a sketching of a hilly rural scene >You smile and ruffle her hair playfully "Good job, Sonata. Keep improving and Picasso'll be jealous." >"For realzies?" >You nod, and she beams back at you >Sonata places the binder back in her backpack >You glance to Adagio >She's only taken a bite, now staring at the plate of otherwise untouched food >The calm, early morning air is suddenly interrupted >The large TV in the living room turns on, a colored bar filling up the right side of its screen >The bar fills in the white top portion >Sirens go off >The girls all cover their ears and wince >The microwave's view port is now replaced by a screen, a picture of Ron Paul waving his hands around with the words "It's Happening!" lining the bottom >Living room TV's left half is also filled with Ron Paul >The pantry opened up and inside each cabinet is the same video of Ron Paul >The inside of the oven is a flashing yellow light >Aria and Sonata look up to you >But you're already gone >Running your drills and being on /k/ and /pol/ has given you super human speed when it comes to reacting to happenings >You slide back into the kitchen, all geared up for the apocalypse >Pistol and knife on your side, Bug Out Bag slung on your shoulder, gas masks hanging off of the BOB with one on your face already, plate carrier on, SKS in one hand and three MOLLE vests in the other (which you throw to the girls) "Quick! Get your bags and go out back!" >"Dad!" Aria yells over the noise. "It's just a test!" "No time, Aria! We need to go innawoods! Nukes or blacks might be com-" >"Dad!" she yells again and points to the TV >You turn to look behind you >Sure enough, Ron Paul has a very large lettered "TEST" flashing over him "This time, honey. This time." >You walk over to the TV and reach behind it to flip a switch >The house becomes silent again >TV is turned off, you can see inside the microwave again, the pantry is closed, and the oven isn't flashing >Aria groans and smacks her head into the table >She can feel the lecture coming "You took too long to grab your bag, sweetie. If it were actually happening, you could already be a zombie eating my brains!" >Sonata speaks up in the middle of your speech about how important it is to be prepared for the happening >"Dad, we need to get ready for school." >Aria jumps up from her seat >"Yeah, school!" >She runs off to her room while Sonata grabs her backpack first before following down the hallway >Adagio is back to gazing at her plate with sullen eyes >At least she took a sip of the orange juice >You look to the side >A small cabinet is still open, the screen of Ron Paul only retracted halfway and still showing him waving his hands >You run a hand along his face in admiration, speaking with a hush "Sooner or later, Paul, they'll learn the importance of happenings." >You smack the side of the screen and it folds back in with the cabinet swinging shut
