Title: Anon goes to the Airshow with Rarity (and Sonata) Author: Meleas Pastebin link: http://pastebin.com/LDvyAuCP First Edit: Sunday 18th of October 2015 11:03:15 PM CDT Last Edit: Last edit on: Sunday 18th of October 2015 11:05:56 PM CDT Would you take Rarity to an air race?   >Not taking Sonata to the air show   Why not both?     >You take Rarity and Sonata to the air show >Rarity loves the dazzling pilot outfits and the wonderfully detailed custom designs on the planes >Sonata keeps tugging your sleeve to make you look at the planes cruising up to take off >A low fly-by causes Rarity's hat to come off but you catch it easily >Looking at Sonata you see her hair frizzled out by the wind with the biggest grin on her face >You loop your arm with Rarity's and walk around the show >As you point out each type of plane and what they're known for (as much as you can remember) Sonata is given Pilot Wings by some veteran next to a B52 >She skips over and happily shows it off to you before you all turn your interest to a pilot's decorated bomber jacket >Rarity starts talking about the patches adorning the jacket and the large squadron emblem covering half of the back >You tell her the history behind them and what they stand for >Sonata jumps between you two and points behind you both >You and Rarity turn to see a formation of Wonderbolts arching through the sky just before they release their colored smoke trails and split off from each other >You stand there with the two; Rarity leaning against you slightly with her arm still looped through yours and Sonata eagerly awaiting each colorful display the squadron brings >The show goes on for a good amount of time, finished by another fly-by with full afterburner as the Wonderbolts take off straight into the air then split out into large, long colored streaks >The trails stretch off into forever as the planes become invisible among the clear blue sky >Rarity looks at you with a warm smile then slips her hand down and intertwines her dainty fingers with yours >Sonata suddenly comes back, placing an Air Force officer's hat on your head >You look at her, with her big grin back on her face and head covered by an identical hat >Rarity chuckles softly but loud enough for you to hear >Until you swoop her off her feet and carry her like a princess >She loses her class as she looks up at you, fumbling with words and blushing >You become focused on her sparkling blue eyes, not noticing Sonata run off and get a cameraman to take a picture of you two >A flash later and you let a still red Rarity stand up on her own >She busies herself with her summer dress; pulling on a bow, adjusting her hat and a jewel >Sonata hands a piece of paper then gives a big thumbs up to the cameraman >She tells you that you should get the picture in a couple of days >You pull both of them in close with a smile, offering to get food from a small restaurant just down the road >Sonata obviously accepts eagerly, and Rarity accepts as well but in her high class manner >You bring them both down to the Roaring Thunder, the place many airmen go to after training on this base >While it's not flush with designer beauty and elegance like Rarity is, she still admires some of the decor and the many framed pictures of various planes and bombers over the generations >Sonata gets up from the table and investigates each portrait and piece of memorabilia decorating the establishment >She picks out one in particular from the wall as you order drinks and comes back after the waiter leaves >She asks if it's you in the picture, and you nod >Both Rarity and Sonata become absolutely astounded, and they stare at the picture >It's you, smiling in your wear and gear while standing outside of a gray F15-E Strike Eagle, a hand on its side >You give a short laugh at their astonishment >You take the picture and hold it up before the three of you >A wiggle of your eyebrows makes the offer of taking them into the heavens someday even more enticing >Rarity giggles again and covers her mouth with a hand >Sonata bounces in excitement, putting her hands together until the officer hat on her head starts to fall off >You get up from your seat with picture in hand, tipping Sonata's hat back properly before you set the portrait back in its spot on the wall >Drinks come and a rather fun song that your buddies liked, Pour Some Sugar On Me, bellows from the speakers just as you sit back down >You all order your food, and the two girls become chatty >They ask you all sorts of questions about things that you've done and what you know >You have to tell them to ask one at a time, though that's mostly because Sonata is eager like usual >Once your food arrives on the table the chatter becomes slower and quieter >Also mostly because Sonata is busy enjoying her food
