Idea

Fluttershy goes into the WhiteTail Woods to help a group of squirrels reach their home.

That should be explained by having her speaking to them of course, something like "There, there, you'll be back with your parents soon..." Hears noises behind some bushes; she gets scared. Hiding in the bush, she peers out to see what the noise was It's a family of deers. Fluttershy watches them, is intrigued. Reveal young colt with branches on its head. Fluttershy's WTF face (as in, confused/surprised/interested, not actually panicking or anything). Intro plays. Fluttershy observes Treebark and then leaves to go tell Twilight.

On her way out, she snaps a twig, which alerts Treebark. (at this point he can talk to her or remain silent and simply follow her)

Treebark is curious as to this foreign creature with similarities to him (or the wings are interesting)

He follows Fluttershy to the edge of the forest using his amazing tracking abilities

because he's curious about seeing a pony for the first time.

After that he is taken to Fluttershy's home while she goes and gets the mane 6

He has a great time interacting with all of fluttershy's animals

The Mane 6 come back to see him playing with the animals.

They are at first apprehensive, Fluttershy didn't realize he followed her.

She says hello, he seems skittish at first but quickly warms up to her.

Fluttershy invites her friends out after telling Treebark she wants him to meet her friends.

Cue the questions to his peculiar looks. Dual curiosity keeps both parties interested.

i'd like to make him nervous while indoors, but that might seem like a re-hash of chickenpone from Canterlot Games ep.

>most at home on AJ's farm, helping plant crops (he's an earth pony)i don't think he can even cropsEh, seems likely he'd have some talent like that, being an earth pony and a forest creaturei think he would be more of a tracker. deer can't grow crops.Fair enough.

i'd rather the mane6 discuss and cherilee takes care of him for that time, trying to teach him pony stuff since she seems to know a lot about that (maybe tell him the concepts of a cutie mark and thus help him get one later (showing he's still a pony and gets a cutie mark, but his decisions give him sth. related to deers to show where his destiny lies?))

>He and AJ do farmwork while rest discuss him in the barn. In the background, we can also see Treebark playing happily with the CMC, maybe forcing him to join their club

Not sure what yet, but I think I can see her siding with RD on this.else it would be bull's argument all over again (actually reversed...)bull's argument?*bisons(over a barrel, that's the name)right, right.

so far, rarity and rainbow dash are in favor of Treebark staying with the ponies

reasoning: rarity thinks the forest is too dirty/dangerous. she belives that the comforts of civilized socity far outway the forest+1

AJ and fluttershy are in favor of Treebark going back to his parents

AJ values family above a

ll else (mb reference to the cutiemarkchronicles? AJ got her ctm like deerpony will, realizing where his family is?), and fluttershy understands his connection with nature

So twi and pinks are on the fence and want to hear what Treebark wants, right?yes, we where also playing with the idea of pinkie being the voice of reason, showing she has a greater personality than just random 4th wall breaking but being ignored for most of the argument because of how heated it's getting i like.

still think sth like at 58 would be nice. with cherilee (or even the cmc, though that wouldnt be so fitting and educational) telling her what cutie marks are etc.

Maybe we should expand the "touring" part to Mane 6 trying hard to be her mentors

>They all somehow fail to help

>The only one capable of finding the family is Treebark

>He proves he's capable of living in the forest maybe another, shorter song? he sings about living in the forest, knowing how to do stuff... i watched brave yesterday, something like that Oh, I like that, maybe make it an ironic reprise to the first song?That could be hard to do, we should maybe have the first song written before deciding if a reprise would work well Yeah, the same melody but more sad, or something.i think it should be very different. more "savage" (bongos and stuff, or even celtic awesomeness)Both sound good to me
