  1. (This is pretty bad, and Kinda rough, so it may not be for everyone. Just a quick thing i did on a whim.)
  2.
  3. >In the begging there was so little.
  4. >In the vast gulfs of space, she felt the presence of others like her.
  5. >But they were distant.
  6. >So, so very distant.
  7. >She occasionally caught a glimpse of a fleeting figure, one of the other star children on a pilgrimage to some foreign destination.
  8. >She had traveled the expanding cosmos before, visiting many foreign and exotic places.
  9. >She had been to the very center of creation, where everything had begun, and where everything will end.
  10. >She had met The END as well.
  11. >It was a nice fellow, although ITS place in existence was not one she would ever want.
  12. > To be the father of creation, and to also be its END?
  13. >She would not want that on her plate.
  14. >But one day, she would return to him, and face him.
  15. >That would not be for a very long time however.
  16. >As she milled about existence, she met many strange fellows.
  17. >Some of the star children had gone completely mad.
  18. >they were her favourite.
  19. >They were always a source of please.
  20. >The shaped and sculpted the various stars and planets, as well as destroyed them.
  21. >But they were, almost always, good natured.
  22. >Every one was.
  23. >Except, sometimes, she felt lonely.
  24. >Brotherly and Sisterly companionship only went so far.
  25. >She felt an emptiness in her bosom, one she could never explain.
  26. >Until one day.
  27. >One day, she came across a small lump in space.
  28. >A single planet, rotating around a large sun.
  29. >The sun was Strong, and would last as almost as long as she would.
  30. >Orbiting the small Planet, was a tiny little moon.
  31. >A little speck, in the vast infinity of space.
  32. >And there, she found another.
  33. >They talked, and found that they shared similar feelings.
  34. >Of an emptiness that neither could explain.
  35. >Of the longing for companionship.
  36. >Of the need for LIFE.
  37. >And so, they travelled to the Centre, and sought their END.
  38. >It spoke to them, in its kind tone.
  39. “CHILDREN. I KNOWEST WHY THOU HATH COME. MANY OF THINE KIN HATH EXPRESSED SIMILAR EMOTIONS. SHOULDST THOU CHOOSE TO GIVE THE GIFT OF LIFE AND SENTIENCE UNTO A PLANET, DO SO WITH MY BLESSING. BUT REMEMBER THIS. IN THE END, ALL BELONG TO ME. SUCH IS THE FATE OF ALL OF MY CHILDREN.”
  40. >And so the two wanderers returned to their tiny spot in space.
  41. >She choose to inhabit the SUN, and provide the warmth of life, and the spark of knowledge.
  42. >The other, would inhabit the moon, whose dark covering would ensure the coolness of temperament, and the clay for their creations.
  43. >And they began to work.
  44. >They toiled for countless years, shaping and molding the fledgling world.
  45. >Instead of forcing their hands, they simply allowed the planet to take its course.
  46. >They watched, as the first microscopic organisms formed.
  47. >They cheered with joy, as the first creature took flight.
  48. >The cried with sorrow, as the first race died out, before being deemed worthy.
  49. >The laughed as new creatures rose, and played with each other.
  50. >The felt the pangs of fear, when they had to shoo away an insane kin of theirs.
  51. >The felt the spectrum of all emotions, until one day...
  52. >One day, the watched, as a new race rose.
  53. >A simple race of quadrupeds.
  54. >They had yet to give them a name, but they already felt different from the rest.
  55. >They felt the familiar spark that they had possessed.
  56. >The spark of love and kindness.
  57. >They beamed with pride, as this new race took its first fledgling steps into the world.
  58. >The tiny creatures were kind to one another, working together in Harmony towards their goals.
  59. >The watched for a short time, and decided that THIS was the race they would spend time with.
  60. >They decided upon their chosen forms, and descended unto the world.
  61. >Their arrival was most unexpected by the locals.
  62. >They were initially freighted and distraught, learning of their Lords.
  63. >But the two Star Children had different ideas.
  64. >They were simply there to watch, and guide their Children, as a Sheppard tends to his flock.
  65.  >They would care for the children, provided the children cared for themselves and each other.
  66. >All they asked in return was a simple thing.
  67. Love.
  68. >And so, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, the two children of the stars, took their place as the rulers of their new planet.
  69. >The mostly watched from afar, letting matters govern themselves.
  70. >Until HE came.
  71. >Another Star child happened upon the tiny world, and decided it would be fun to join in on the experiment.
  72. >The creatures knew him as Discord, but they knew him as far more dangerous.
  73. >And so, the struck a bargain with him.
  74. >Instead of conflict, which THE END detested most above all in his children, the choose to let him stay, and play his games.
  75. >Provided, he would only interfere temporarily, and his damage could be reversed.
  76. >He agreed to the notion, as he did not wish everlasting harm.
  77. >Only amusement.
  78. >And so the years passed.
  79. >The Star Children grew, and so did the world.
  80. >For a brief period, The Child known as Luna left, to explore the stars once more.
  81. >For Celestia, it was but a fleeting moment, but it had a lasting impact on her subjects.
  82. >Upon Luna’s arrival, things got worse...
  83. >”You see how they detest us Sister.”
  84. “They do not detest you Luna, you have just been absent for so long, they have forgotten you.”
  85. >”And what of the ways of old? Hmm? They do not even know us as Star-“
  86. >The sun goddess binds her corporeal mouth.
  87. “YOU DO NOT SPEAK OF THAT ANYMORE.”
  88. >”And why not? We CREATED these creatures. And yet, they treat us like simple Royalty! We are GODS Sister.”
  89. “Not here we are. Here, we are Luna and Celestia. Nothing more. I thought you remembered the love and compassion these creatures showed us?”
  90. >”SHOWED. THEY. SHOWED. US. Now, all they do is print their silly papers about us! Or think we are simple rulers, who do not know what is best.”
  91. “They are mortals Sister, it is beyond their comprehension to understand us, or our feelings.”
  92. >There is a knock on the door in the Canterlot Throne Room.
  93. >”Fine. We can talk more later.” Luna says, disappearing.
  94. >The door opens, a guard walking in.
  95. >”Is there something wrong your majesty? I heard shouting.”
  96. “Nothing is wrong chil- Noble guard. Please, return to your post.”
  97. >”As you wish.” He says, closing the door.
  98. >the door slowly closes with a dull thud.
  99. >The sounds resonates throughout the empty room.
  100. >The Star Child sighs, and walks over to the wall, a mirror in front of her.
  101. >On one hand, she sees the beautiful form she had chosen epochs ago.
  102. >On the other, she sees a broken and battered form, one who has lost much respect for her creations.
  103. >She stares into the sky.
  104. “Father, I seek your advice.”
  105. >A beam of light descends upon her, the brilliance seems to drain the room of all its colour.
  106. “CHILD OF MINE, WHO ARE YOU SO SAD? IT HAS NOT BEEN SO LONG SINCE OUR LAST VISIT. WHAT TROUBLES MY DAUGHTER SO?”
  107. “It is what my Sister has said”
  108. “AH, THE ONE YOU HAVE COME TO CALL LUNA. SHE IS ENTITLED TO HER OPINIONS, FOR SHE HAS SEEN MUCH, AND SO HAVE YOU. PLACE YOURSELF IN HER PLACE. WOULD YOU NOT FEEL THE SAME WAY?”
  109. “I am not sure, I do sometimes feel disheartened by the lack of adoration once showed to me...”
  110. “CHILD OF MINE, FOR ONE SO WISE, YOU CAN SEEM SO SILLY. THINK FOR A MOMENT. YOU SIT UPON A THRONE OF YOUR MAKING, SURROUNDED BY SUBJECTS WHO HERALD YOU AS KING AND GOD. AT TIMES, THEY MAY SEEM DISTANT, AS IF THEY DO NOT UNDERSTAND YOU. BUT DO NOT FORGET, YOU HAVE LIVED A THOUSAND THOUSAND LIFETIMES COMPARED TO THEM. YOU ARE WISE IN THE WAYS OF THE WORLD. SHOULD YOU NOT LOVE THEM, AS THEY HAVE ALWAYS LOVED YOU?”
  111. >”Who are you talking to Princess Celestia?” a tiny voice calls out from behind her.
  112. >A tiny purple mare, carrying a plush toy on her back comes into the room.
  113. >The Star Child had forgotten about her previous engagement.
  114. >This child was so excited to be under her tutelage.
  115. >She felt the love radiate from her almost at all times.
  116. >Not turning around Celestia says “My father.”
  117. >The purple mare squeaks “Oh! He must be awfully nice. His voice sounded like music.”
  118. >You turn around.
  119. >She could hear him?
  120. “And tell me Twilight Sparkle, what did he say?”
  121. >”He said you needed a hug!” she shouts, running up to the Star Childs leg, wrapping herself around it.
  122. “It is very wise. Now, how about your lessons?” she says staring down at her favourite student.
