- >The heavy door of the private chambers in the royal palace swings open slowly with a low groan, a somewhat peeved looking alicorn poking her head out through it while a white unicorn sits glaring at her from behind.
- >This... isn’t exactly what you were expecting from Equestria’s poster couple but then marital problems always had a way of visiting the strangest places.
- >”Sorry again for calling you so far out, Anon, but somepony here isn’t being cooperative.”
- >Princess Cadence swings open the door, allowing you entry into her and Shining Armor’s chambers.
- >Inside, it appears to be in disarray.
- >The bedding is all over the place, there’s a lamp on the floor, and what appears to be some kind of unidentifiable clothing article hanging from the ceiling.
- >You wheel in your trunk, the same trunk you always take with you on a “job”, and settle down in a small chair near the dresser.
- “So, what seems to be the problem your highness?”
- >In an unexpected act of cooperation, the two ponies walk to a couch opposite you, seating themselves at either end.
- >”The problem is that he is unwilling to try anything different! I asked him to put on his dress uniform and he complained about getting it dirty; then maybe I could wear something instead?”
- >Her eyes flit up to the cloth near the ceiling.
- >”You can see for yourself how that went. I’ve tried dressing up, dressing down, using toys, using equipment, ropes, collars-”
- >”Cadance, please!” The white stallion, previously silent leans over towards the Princess, anger and embarrassment playing across his features. “Do we really have to discuss the... intricacies?”
- “Mister Armor, we are here to solve your problems yes?”
- “And if we are going to solve your problems, you are going to have to participate, and volunteer the appropriate information.”
- “Since you seem to be much more, approachable your highness, what seems to be the exact problem?”
- “Is it keeping him interested? Getting him “up” and at it?”
- >The stallion retreats back to his side of the couch with a groan, hiding his face in his hooves.
- >”Oh no, no! I’ve caught him using his ‘magic fingers’ when he thinks I’m not around.”
- >Her features fall, the previous acidic tone slipping from her voice.
- >”He’s still the same young, virile guardspony I met all those years ago but... I just don’t seem to attract his attention any more.”
- “I see. Is this what you truly believe then?”
- “And you, Mister Armor, do you still hold the same admiration and attraction to your wife?”
- >Having turned first to Cadance, the unicorn now throws his accusing hooves in your direction.
- >”Of course I do!” He turns to her briefly, more than a mote of hurt entering his voice. “Cadance, you know that’s not true. You are the most beautiful pony I know of, I’ve waited all these years just to work up the courage to say anything to you!”
- >Tentatively, she reaches a hoof out to him, one he readily accepts.
- >”Then why can’t you bring yourself to touch me at night?”
- >Anonymous shuffles in his seat, getting more comfortable.
- “It seems there is more than just fetishes at play here.”
- “Tell me Cadence, have you ever asked Shining what HE would like to do?”
- “Perhaps give him a chance to express his desires?”
- >Reaching down into your trunk, you pull out a pencil and notepad, scribbling down what the couple have been saying so far.
- >The mare shakes her head, looking to Shining and then back to you.
- >”I’m his wife... I shouldn’t NEED to ask him what he wants, I should know it.”
- >Did his hoof give hers a little squeeze? It certainly looked that way.
- >”I thought I knew him so well, I thought... I thought I was all he wanted.”
- >You jot down everything that was said.
- “Communication is important Cadence. Although you are the Princess of Love, you must realise that people do not always express themselves on the surface.”
- “Shining had just said he had a hard time even approaching you in the first place.”
- “Perhaps he felt a bit, nervous, about approaching you with what he finds erotic or exciting.”
- “Am I close Mister Shining?”
- >A tiny blush rises to the stallion’s cheeks as he nods and looks over to you.
- >”I... I don’t want Cadance to get the wrong idea or to think that I’m some kind of... pervert.”
- >Opening your trunk, and turning the contents away from the two ponies, you begin rummaging through.
- “In my field Mister Armor, there are many concepts that most people find, “perverted”.”
- “I assure you, this is simply not the case.”
- “Now, let’s hear it. What could Cadence do for you hmm?”
- “Don’t be shy now, we are all friends and more here.”
- >The unicorn gives you a momentary uneasy look, his eyes flashing to his wife quickly.
- >”Do you remember that, uh...” He coughs, turning away from both of you as his cheeks turn bright pink.
- “The what, Mister Shining?”
- >He clears his throat noisily, looking at you sideways though obviously trying to also somehow avoid your curious, amused gaze.
- >”Ahem... it was a... rubber dong...”
- >A loud groan comes from the other side of the couch, followed by soft laughter.
- >”Shining. It’s called a strapon. You can say it, it’s okay, it’s not like you were the one wearing it.”
- >You look up briefly from your trunk.
- “Aha. Now Mister Shining, there is nothing wrong about that. It is perfectly normal to explore another side of yourself.”
- “Or, in this case, having your wife explore the other side of you.”
- >You can’t help but illicit a small chuckle.
- “Much pleasure can be taken from...”
- “How to put this...”
- >”How did you put it on our honeymoon? ‘Gonna leave you unable to trot right for a week’?”
- >The mare nickers softly, and from the small smile her partner shows it’s clear you’ve done a good job at breaking the ice to some degree.
- “It seems we are on the right track.”
- >You get up from your chair, removing a blindfold from the trunk.
- “Now, Shining, you love and trust your wife no?”
- “You trust her enough to have this meeting with me and her, so now we are asking you for a little more of that.”
- >Stepping behind them, you begin wrapping the blindfold around Shining’s eyes.
- “We are going to prepare something for you, and this way, you cannot object just yet.”
- “We will not make you do anything you wouldn't want to, but this way, you cannot be completely embarrassed right away. “
- >Nodding at Cadence, you point towards the trunk.
- >The stallion’s breathing heightens momentarily as you finish tying the blindfold around him, though a few quick strokes of his withers by Cadence puts him at ease.
- >Slipping off the couch, the mare hesitantly walks over to the trunk, her eyes widening at the sight of the array of ‘implements’ you were sure to bring with you to assist your clients.
- >”What am I looking for?”
- >Placing your hands on Shining’s shoulders in an effort to relax him, you motion to the left side of the trunk.
- “Let’s not start with something TOO big now, shall we?”
- “Now, Shining. One thing I’m sure you will come to understand, is that there is nothing wrong with having certain proclivities. Accepting these things as part of who we are, is part of a healthy mind. You love your wife very much, this I am certain of and so is she. Being open with one another is important.”
- “Do you see it Cadence?”
- >”Ah... yes, I think so. Are you really sure about this? Shining was nervous about my suggestion but since...” Her horn lights up in a soft blue glow, a similar light emanating from the trunk. “Well, we’ve heard a lot about what ponies say about you and...”
- >Her hoof jabs towards your lower half and Cadence quickly turns away, levitating one of your old reliables from the trunk.
- “From where I come from, the saying was “Hung like a Horse” and yes, the rumours are true.”
- “I have been blessed, in more ways than one. If needed I can provide more hands on help.”
- “For now, let us focus on your husband. If you would be so kind as to equip the item, we shall get started.”
- >”Equip?”
- >The stallion starts under your hands, not quite trying to get away but obviously ill at ease again.
- >”Cadence, you didn’t say anything about any kind of equipment!”
- >The soft clacking of the item snugly fitting into place sends a little shiver through the stallion, one your sensitive hands are all too capable of picking up.
- >”I’m as surprised as you are! When I called for him I thought-”
- >The mare stops suddenly, landing back on her four hooves and turning around to you.
- >”Okay, it’s on... and if I’m reading what you’ve been saying right, then this should go a little better than the last time.”
- “Very good.”
- >You untie the blindfold around Shining’s eyes, letting him take in the “spectacle”
- “So? How does this make you feel?”
- >Shining Armor blinks a few times, narrowing his eyes before they widen greatly at the sight.
- >”I... uh...”
- >His muscles feel tensed up under your grip and he turns around to look at you with concern shining in his eyes.
- “Does it not feel the same as before?”
- “And relax Mister Shining. It’s nothing you or I haven't seen before.”
- >You sit down on the couch next to him.
- “The more open you are, the better.”
- >His tongue flicks out over his lips as he looks back to Cadence.
- >”It’s just... with you here, it’s not the kind of thing a husband does with his wife.”
- >Cadance walks back to the couch, this time sitting in front of him, offering him a perfect view of what she’s now sporting.
- >”We agreed that we’d follow through on Anon’s advice, didn’t we? Just remember, we’re doing this because we love each other.”
- >The white unicorn takes a few deep, calming breaths before nodding and looking between the two of you.
- >”Right, right... Okay, so you want to know what I think of this?”
- >His eyes slowly trail down her chest and abdomen until they come to rest between her hind legs.
- >”I... that is... I mean, considering it’s Cadence... Even though it’s not real- I mean because it’s not real!”
- “Hmm...”
- “Perhaps it is not so much that you desire that what she is now sporting, but perhaps to experience something new, just once.”
- “It seems as though it is something that you’ve always wanted to try, but perhaps never got the chance before Cadence came along.”
- “I do not doubt your feelings for her, but it feels like an unfulfilled desire.”
- >You scribble down more notes, looking back at Shining.
- >The two share a long look, ending when Cadence brings a hoof to his own again, telling him it’s alright to say it.
- >She’s smiling a small, knowing smile and perhaps - you think - you’ve gotten to the heart of the matter.
- >”It was... a long time ago. His name...”
- >The stallion lets out a long, shuddering sigh before turning around to face you.
- >”His name was Feldspar. We were close... real close, back at the Academy. I mean we did everything together; we even shared the same quarters!”
- >A smile tugs back his lips, his eyes turning distant.
- >”Look, I don’t-”
- >A little awkwardly, Cadence leans forward, putting her hooves over him.
- >”It’s okay, just remember he’s here to help.”
- >He tone and the way she looks at you suggests this isn’t something she’s heard before.
- >”Right. Right. Okay. We were just a couple of colts really. You know how it is when you get a bunch of guys like that in a barracks. So... And, Stars, it just makes so much sense looking back, you know? It was all jokes about the girly stallions or poking fun at the wrestling club, saying they’d go around lifting their tails in the showers after training.”
- >His eyes slip down from your own, as does his smile.
- >”I didn’t mean to push him away. I mean... If I’d known what it’d mean to him, if I’d known that I was just a dumb colt who was going along with the others, if I’d stopped to think that maybe it wouldn’t have been so bad, just to try and see if it was something I might like!”
- >You pat his back reassuringly.
- “That was very brave of you to admit Shining.”
- “We have made some excellent progress so far.”
- “You made a mistake, and denied something about yourself that you very well might have enjoyed.”
- “Although, this is in the past now.”
- “Dealing with your current “problems” is now the matter.”
- “How could Cadence or I help fulfill your desire, and make you feel better about this?”
- >His breathing calms, slowing down from the heavy exhalations from his nose, retreating back to the soft, unsure breaths from earlier.
- >”Well I can’t say I’m too surprised...”
- >At the look from her husband, Cadence throws up her hooves in mock defence.
- >”What? You used to talk about Feldspar all the time back then and then suddenly you stopped. And then there were... other things and now this. I mean you have to admit, it does make sense.”
- >The stallion looks to you, chuckling softly.
- >”I’ll give you this evening until you’re able to read me as easily as that.”
- >Another breath, he shuts his eyes and turns away from you.
- >”Look, I... I’ve heard what ponies say about you too.” He shakes his head, his voice becoming a little ragged and hoarse. “Cadence, please, please don’t think I want you any less but... I couldn’t help it. I couldn’t help the thoughts.”
- “We are not doubting where your feelings lie Shining.”
- “It is very clear that your love for Cadence is as strong as ever, evident by how you are acting now.”
- “You would put your love for her above your own well-being, and that says a lot.”
- “But we all know that a relationship is a give and take venture.”
- “So now, it is your turn to do a little taking.”
- “To have certain desires is not selfish, but rather allowing you to satisfy an urge that you have.”
- “And it does seem my reputation gets ahead of me sometimes.”
- “You do ONE thing with a Stallion ONE time, and suddenly all of Equestria knows it.”
- >The Princess lets out one of her soft, melodious laughs, looking first to her husband and then you.
- >”All the tales I’ve heard concentrate far more on just how satisfied that one stallion was. And if they’re even half true? It wasn’t even close to one thing.”
- >Shining groans, though it sounds more good natured than his previous disposition might’ve let on.
- >”And he’s right, you know. I love you above everyp0ny else, Shining, and that means acknowledging your needs and... if necessary, finding somep0ny else who can fulfill them in a way I can’t.”
- “I believe that allowing Shining the opportunity to safely experiment this one time will be a healthy experience for the both of you.”
- “It is something the two of you should also share.”
- “You will find yourselves more comfortable in the company of one another, both outside, and inside the bedroom.”
- “As I have said, it is a give and take relationship, but in the end, it is the two of you together.”
- “What can I do to help?”
- >Cadence slips back onto the couch, positioning herself at Shining’s side and putting a hoof over his withers.
- >”I’m afraid you’re going to have to be the one to ask for it, Shiny. I brought him to you.”
- >The pony looks to you, to his wife and then back.
- >”This isn’t a trap, I know what it’s like to want to explore another side of yourself.” Her smile drops, her mouth falling into a frown. “But this is not saying you can bring anypony you want back to our bedroom.” And then the smile is back, if a little more weary. “Give and take, Shiny, communication. I can’t guarantee I’ll always be fine with everything you might want to try but I need you to know I’ll always be open to hearing it.”
- >Apart from a brief nod, the stallion remains passive and expressionless through the exchange.
- >”Okay.” He exchanges a quick embrace with the Princess before turning back to you. “So... You’re not gonna make this any easier, are you?”
- “That depends Shining.”
- “I want you to be one hundred percent sure this is what you want to do.”
- “Having ideas is fine, but acting on them is another.”
- “Once we begin, and you are sure of this, it is on your head.”
- “I am merely here to help you, when you are unable to help yourself.”
- “What is it you would have me do?”
- >Tapping his hooves together, Shining Armor slowly looks down from you before quietly speaking.
- >”I... want to know what it feels like. I want to know if these... feelings are real, if I could do that and enjoy it.”
- >He holds out a hoof, Cadence once more readily accepting it.
- >”I want to know Cadence will still love me if I do.”
- “She has been with you so far, Shining.”
- “Her love for you means she is willing to go to great lengths to see you happy.”
- “She called me here, because she was expressly worried about you, much so over herself.”
- “She was afraid that she was unable to give you the kind of marriage you deserved, and thought she was doing something wrong.”
- “We talked briefly, and arranged this meeting so the air could be cleared, for he both of you.”
- “I have stated since the beginning that your love is strong, and I very much doubt that one night of wish fulfillment could change that.”
- >”Wish fulfillment...” His voice trails off almost before he speaks.
- >”If I’m going to love you then I need to know all of you.”
- >Her tone is entreating, rather than reproachful.
- >”You’re not any less of a stallion for it.” And then something glimmers in her eyes, something you haven’t seen all evening - a touch of mischief. “Maybe you’ll even develop a little more understanding for my side of things, hmm?”
- >But before he can make any kind of reply she laughs, rich and throaty.
- >It’s almost a privilege, seeing the simple, domestic closeness of the two.
- >”Sure, honey, we can compare notes.”
- >He nickers but then looks back to you, taking a breath and looking more confident than before.
- >”So that’s it? You’d... do that?”
- “If you would like, yes.”
- “I can also see what she sees in you.”
- >You chuckle yourself, heading over to the Trunk.
- >Looking back over at him, you point towards the bed.
- “Well? What are you waiting for? A written invitation?”
- >He looks between you and the bed, biting his lip before slowly sliding from the couch and taking a few steps towards it.
- >Stopping, he looks back to the two of you.
- >”Cadence, I... I want you to stay. I... think I’d be more comfortable if you knew what was happening.”
- >The mare cocks her eyebrow but trots over to him, brushing against his side before going the whole way and leaning against the bed.
- >”Would you? Or do you just like the thought of a devious voyeur watching your every move and listening to every grunt of passion?”
- >If that poor pony bites his lip any harder he’s liable to draw blood. Though he makes no answer to her question, only stepping the rest of the way over and looking back towards you.
- “Well well, now this is a real bonding experience.”
- “Perhaps you both will find something you like.”
- “Now remember, everything that happens in here, stays in here.”
- >Rummaging around in your trunk some more, you pull out a large bottle, setting it on the lid.
- “And for God’s sake, stop biting your lip. Unless, that is your fetish.”
- >Looking at Cadence, you take off your tie and suit jacket.
- “Get comfortable. We’re going to be a while.”
- >Shining Armor lies on his back, his mane a tousled mess and his breathing still coming in little gasps now and then.
- >Despite his initial protests the look of utter satisfaction playing across his face says all that’s needed - another job well done.
- >And there, leaning over the bottom of the bed sits Princess Cadence - there’d been a few words of encouragement, some of bemusement but mostly quiet wonder.
- >Now it’s simple curiosity, the delicate feminine scent in the air speaking all that was needed of her opinion on what she’d just witnessed.
- >You sit back in the bed, resting against the headboard.
- >You scribble a few things into a notebook beside the bed, and look over at the couple.
- “So? What have we learned?”
- >The stallion turns to you, a dreamy, distant look still in his eyes.
- >”That new experiences can be enjoyable?”
- “Very good, and I must say, it was enjoyable for to be able to teach you such things.”
- “You performed admirably.”
- >Getting up out of the bed, you take your belongings, and stuff them back into your trunk, and start getting dressed.
- “How are you two feeling now?”
- >The Princess of Love ascends the bed, crawling along it to rest by the side of her beloved who readily puts his hooves over her.
- >”Better?”
- >He leans to one side, planting a small kiss on her lips.
- >”Or better able to manage?”
- >Rolling her eyes, the mare laughs softly.
- >”Manage? I know a few spells that may help with that.” Her smile softens as she pulls him closer to herself. “Manage better, now that all of this is out in the open for us.”
- “Very good, I am glad to have been of service.”
- >Snapping the lid of the trunk closed, you straighten your tie again, making sure you are in presentable condition.
- >You smile and wave at the happy couple, stepping out of the room.
- >Just as you close the door, you see a maid pony right outside.
- >It seems she heard all the commotion, and by commotion, you mean Shiny has a filthy mouth.
- >Looking up at you, she finally manages to squeak out “I-is it really true?”
- “Is what true, my fine equine friend?”
- >”Well, my colt friend and I...”
- >It never ends...
