>Operator and Minty have been dating for awhile now
>Shimmer and Hexferry have been spending more and more time together
>hell, even Gemini and the weird zebra guy are getting more intimate lately
>this depresses the moth
>for all his bluster, it feels that Virgo is only a mare's man in word and not in truth
>the only kind of intimacy he's had lately was with Waspy
>Virgo spilled his heart out to his best friend, from everything under the sun that's been plaguing his life
>and maybe some cuddling

>and a wet dream where he went all alpha and shagged a female Anon
>the moth couldn't face his tall, green friend for a few weeks after that
>the white moth's mood sours
>he decides to step off the bench and spend the day at Tonic's bar
>but the sudden appearance of a certain brown moth stops him
>she has a box of chocolates in her mouth
>she lays it on his lap and shyly looks at him
>her face has this pleading, longing look to it
>on the box is a note, written in Squeak's style
>it bears a short and simple message
>"Will you be my special somepony?"
>Squeak nudges closer to the white moth
"I-I don't know if you're just oblivious, or you're just acting dumb..."
>her face has broken into a silent cry
>a trail of tears and the light hiccuping being the signs of her current emotional state
>she calms herself and looks at him in the eye with the saddest face over seen on her usually happy and giddy face
>"... if you didn't know... I like you a lot, not like best friends but more than that you know?"
>she pushed herself up to him, their shoulders pressing into each other
>"so will you be my special somepony? Even if it's just for today."
>she places her hooves on his unmoving hoof
>the white moth all through out the confession gives her a clear view of his tumultuous emotional state
>their faces in front of each other
>their breathe mingling in the cool air
>"I... I don't know what to think honestly Squeak.
>"I think I knew for a long time, but I've been holding it back, I mean I wouldn't know how to think or react, so I've only been denying it."
>Squeak nods
>"I wasn't expecting much anyway."
>awkward silence between the two
>unbeknownst to the two, they're being stared at by everyone else
>cus they're in public and nowhere hidden
>they think it's adorable that it's finally happening
>"So... what now?" said Virgo
>"I didn't think this far ahead... do you want to try and make it work? See if we connect?"
>the white moth doesn't answer or in the way that one might usually do it
>Squeak smiles with a rosy tint to her cheeks and leans into the white moth, loving his warmth and touch
>Virgo doesn't now what to do, but eventually, he decides to lean his own head on her own and wrap his hoof around her shoulders
>then everbody daaaw'd and things were awkward again between the two moths
