  2.
  3. >”Hey Anon. You ready? We’re rolling in 20”
  4. > The source of the voice was a young woman sitting next to you.
  5. > Looking around, you are sitting in the back of a pickup truck.
  6. >Surrounded by a dozen other rag tag fighters, most of them young men.
  7. >There were a few women and even some older guys.
  8. >The lot of them carried serious expressions on their faces
  9. >All of them armed with some sort of weapon or means of self defense
  10. >Everyone seemed to be armed with something different.
  11. >You never were a full fledged /k/ommando, but you’ve been around the block enough times to at least get an idea of what they carried.
  12. >Among you weapons you made out a few pistols, a few assault rifles, a shot gun, an SMG, and plastic explosives.
  13. >Everyone, including yourself was carrying huge backpack full of supplies.
  14. >All these arms came from scavenging the fallen troops of the enemy.
  15. >Looking down at your lap you held a small hunting rifle and a red toolbox.
  16. > You cruised down the highway at high speeds.
  17.
  18. >You very much recall this situation.
  19. >It was embedded deep in your memories.
  20. >This took place after you decided to stop being a pussy and take on some real responsibilities.
  21. >It took a while to realize it was all just in your head, your memories.
  22. >You’re dreaming.
  23. >You sit back and allow the memories to flow like a movie screen in front of you.
  24.
  25. >A raspy voice emerged from the pickup’s cabin. He carried a thick accent.
  26. >”Aight, y’all know tha drill. We get in, do our shit and we get out. I don’t wanna nothin about any complications ya hear?”
  27. >The group agreed in unison.
  28. >”As soon as y’all ready to roll on out you give me a holler”
  29.
  30. >Before you know it you had arrived at your destination: West Side.
  31. >After dropping you off, the truck driver speed off back to get more men.
  32. >The western part of the city was where the police impound center was located.
  33. >Since then, the enemy has converted it into a car pool for their military.
  34. >The initial group of mem was split into two smaller squads.
  35. >More men would be included in this operation later.
  36. >Your squad consisted of 5 more men.
  37. >You would sneak into the city, past the guards and into the car pool
  38. >Your objective was to sabotage as many vehicles as possible.
  39. >The other squad would set up plastic explosives near the enemy barracks and fuel tanks and support your team as necessary.
  40.
  41. >Under the darkness of the night you headed out to start your work.
  42. >Your squad leader walks up to the group and starts giving orders
  43. >”Anon, hand out the tools, we’ve got shit to do”
  44. >Opening your toolbox you handed various tools to each rebel.
  45. >You had saved a pair of bolt cutters for yourself.
  46. >You cut open the locks the gates, allowing yourself entry
  47. >You began to work on the first vehicle you saw
  48. >This areas were barely patrolled at night.
  49. >The occasional encounter with a patrolman was met with the butt of your rifle or a silenced weapon.
  50. > It took a few tries to find out where the fuel lines where in these vehicles, most of them foreign.
  51. >There were probably hundreds of vehicles in the lot.
  52. “Hey, you know we’re not going to get to all of these right?” You say your comrade.
  53. >”Yeah, but it don’t matter. Baker team is blowing the gas lines just in case. They won’t have much use to em’ if they aint got no fuel.”
  54. >This goes on for about another hour or two.
  55. >You managed to sabotage 20 trucks or so.
  56. >Your squad was doing excellent progress.
  57. >Just as you were about to finish your “modifications” on a pickup truck, your HAM radio comes to life.
  58. >“..Ehh Charlie Team, This is Baker Team, Requesting a regroup by 5th street and Hope Ave”
  59. > Another member of your squad responds his own handset, his voice echoing over everyone’s radios.
  60. > “This is Charlie Leader, what’s going on?”
  61. >”Ehh..We’ve finished setting charges on all of our targets. We need to regroup before we can set them off. You are all in the dead zone.”
  62. >”Got it, we’re rolling”
  63. >As he finishes his sentence, he signals the rest of your squad to finish what they were doing and regroup.
  64.
  65. >Exiting the car pool you make your way deeper into the city
  66. >As you look around you’re reminded of the chaos that took place here.
  67. >Some buildings are missing huge fragments of walls, while others are leveled completely
  68. >Craters in the ground are indications that explosives went off here.
  69. >Tank treads are visible throughout the street.
  70. >Occasionally you pass by a group of people huddled around a makeshift oil drum bon fire
  71. >Many people in this area lost their homes and had nowhere to go.
  72. >Movement in and out of the city was heavily constricted.
  73. >You look around you noticed more things
  74. >There are bodies littered everywhere, most of them where civilians.
  75. >You shudder in disgust as you pass by a row of bodies against a wall.
  76. >All of them donned similar clothing and wore blindfolds
  77. >They were captured Rebels.
  78. >It must have been Alpha team.
  79. >They went dark last week.
  80. >”Well, we found Alpha Team..”  One of your squadmate mutters.
  81. >Poor bastards were probably executed on the spot.
  82.
  83.
  84. >It wasn’t long before you met up with the other squad.
  85. >They were hiding out in a side alley.
  86. >After exchanging information, the squad leaders deemed it OK to proceed with the mission.
  87. >”All right, we gotta hit one more building before we call it quits for tonight.”
  88. >The squad leader begins to explain their plan of action to the rest of the squad.
  89. >You would regroup with Delta Squad and Echo Squad.
  90. >Together, you all made a force of about 30 men and 2 Dogs.
  91. > A few Delta squad members used to be part of the Force, K-9 Unit. Hopefully they would sniff out any dangers
  92. >The objective was to raid a warehouse building the enemy was using and scavenge as many supplies as possible.
  93. >The resistance was always desperate for supplies.
  94. >What better place to get them from than the enemy?
  95. >”Anon, get that manhole opened up. We can use the sewers to get to the warehouse”
  96. >You bust out the monkey wrench from your tool box and open the manhole.
  97. >Descending into the depths below.
  98.
  99. >The rebels had been using the sewer system as a means of transportation within the city.
  100. >Some of the rebels had broken into the city records to acquire maps of the pipe network.
  101. >It was dark.
  102. >It smelled like ass.
  103. >It was hot and humid.
  104. >Did I mention you were afraid of the dark?
  105. >Pussy.
  106. >But you were safe from any bad guys.
  107. >Above you could hear the distinct noise of gunfire and vehicle movement.
  108. >It sounds like Delta and Echo were in some deep shit.
  109.
  110. >One of your comrades had a bottle of hard alcohol; he passed it around to help calm everyone’s nerves.
  111. >Although you hated the taste at first, you took a few swigs.
  112. >In a situation like this, it definitely hit the spot.
  113. “Oh yeah, that hits the spot.”
  114. >As you approached your destination the sounds of the gun fight grew louder.
  115. “Oh shit. We climbing up here?”
  116. >”Yeah. Come on, let’s not waste any time. Delta and Echo need our help.”
  117. >”Anon open up this shit up!”
  118. >Without further question you climb the ladder up and use your monkey wrench to open it up.
  119. >It takes some muscle to move it aside, but it was feasible
  120. “Alright, we’re good! Come’on!”
  121. >No sooner than you finished the sentence you saw enemy movement in the corner of your eye.
  122. >Turns out the enemy setup a checkpoint a few yards away from your manhole
  123. “Oh fuck.”
  124.
  125. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1EnxfH3b7Y&feature=relmfu
  126. >Without thinking you began to run for cover firing rounds in that direction.
  127. >The streets soon lit up with gunfire as your squad mates crawled out of the sewers.
  128. >You and another squad mate took cover behind a destroyed car.
  129. >There were maybe 15 or so enemy troops at the checkpoint.
  130. >One of them was mounted on a HMG behind a sand bunker.
  131. >It took him no time to start pumping rounds at you.
  132. >Luckily the car provided ample cover
  133. >That bastard would take out in seconds if you popped up to shoot.
  134. >You took the time to rummage through your bag.
  135. >You pulled out a few rags, a lighter and some beer bottles you had filled with gasoline previously.
  136. >Handing out Molotovs to your comrades he tossed them at enemies
  137. >Some of your buddies were armed with pipe bombs.
  138. >You took aim and threw your Molotov cocktail into the sand bunker.
  139. >You put on a shit eating grin on your face as you watched the machine gunner burn alive.
  140. >The flames would last for a while preventing anyone else from manning it.
  141. >Taking aim with your rifle you were able to hit a few guys.
  142. >You empty out your clip and duck down to reload.
  143. “Reloading!”
  144. >Your comrade next to you took this time to empty out his shotgun.
  145. >By the time he called out to reload you could pop up an provide suppressive fire.
  146. >It’s an excellent system that works well in these situations
  147.
  148. >It’s a good thing they had given a plinking rifle as a weapon.
  149. >A Ruger .22 Caliber was perfect for you.
  150. >You could find ammo for it by the shit tons and it was easy to carry.
  151. >Your rifle was far more accurate than the shotguns and assault rifles your comrades carried.
  152. >On top of that, it was easy to modify.
  153. >A little duct tape here and there and you were able to fix a tacticool flashlight, a grip, a set of enhanced sights and an extended magazine.
  154. >Sure, if you ever entered a close combat situation, you were fucked.
  155. >Long barreled weapons never suited well in such situations.
  156. >But hey, for now it seemed to work pretty well.
  157.
  158. >Pushing forward your squad was able to take out the enemy checkpoint.
  159. >It turns out Delta and Echo was advancing the same checkpoint from the opposite direction.
  160. >The enemy didn’t stand a chance
  161. >Lucky you.
  162.
  163. >You noticed that Delta and Echo had some new members on their team.
  164. >They were enemy troops. Their bandaged bodies showed they were wounded and just recently attended to.
  165. >The only difference from the bad guys is that they had a bandana wrapped around their forearms.
  166. >The bandana was the flag of your nation
  167. “Hey man, what’s up with these Reds? I thought they were the bad guys.”
  168. > A member from Delta team responds:
  169. >”Nah man, it’s cool. They’re with us now. They were left for dead by their own and we took them in.”
  170. >The new members responded as well
  171. >”We are very grateful comrades!”
  172. >” Da, I owe my life to these men and will fight by their side.”
  173. >The two men showed their gratitude and introduced themselves, handshakes and all.
  174. Neat.jpeg
  175. > A closer inspection of the troops showed they were about your age.
  176. >They didn’t look like the evil soul sucking bastards everyone has portrayed them be.
  177. >More like young scared kids drafted into a war they didn’t want.
  178. >They spoke broken English with a heavy accent.
  179.
  180. >You were about to ask more about them when a huge explosion knocked you off your feet.
  181. >A tank had rolled into the streets from where you came from and started firing rounds.
  182. > It begun to fire rounds in your direction, behind it a wave of enemy troops.
  183. >Your team had taken its battle positions again.
  184. >You were all hunkered down behind the sand bags of the check point.
  185. > The enemy was better armed this time.
  186. > But so were you.
  187. > At the check point, your team had managed to find a small stash of weapons and armory.
  188. > Among the weapons was a set of RPG’s
  189. > You notice some of your squad mates had gathered most of the large weaponry and were getting ready to make a run for it.
  190. > ”Alpha’s heading to the roof tops! Give em’ cover!”
  191. >As soon as the CO finished his order, Alpha had already sprinted half way across the street to a row of apartment buildings.
  192. >Your team had loaded up and began returning fire.
  193. >Molotovs and pipebombs were going off everywhere.
  194. >In response, the enemy started tossing fragmentation and incendiary grenades at you.
  195. >The sound of a grenade dropping to your feet echoed throughout everyone’s ears
  196. “ SHIT, GRENAADE!”
  197. >The entire squad scurried away from the explosive.
  198. >Some were a little too slow.
  199. >One Rebel’s legs were blown clean off.
  200. >His agonizing screams filled the air.
  201. >You looked around and saw the machine gun nest was unarmed.
  202. >You sprinted over the sandbags, dodging enemy attention and fire.
  203. >It was still hot to the touch from your flames, but you’d have to manage.
  204. >You started pumping bullets into the crowd of enemies.
  205. >They either dashed for cover or were hit by your barrage of bullets
  206. >Your team had taken on some casualties as well
  207. >As the machine gun run out of ammo you felt a flurry of shots come your way.
  208. >One of them managed to clip you against your right arm.
  209. >Although it was just a flesh wound, it still hurt like a bitch.
  210. “GAHHH FUUUUCK. MEDIC!”
  211. >You were losing a lot of blood.
  212. >You looked to your side for the squad medic, he donned a red bandana with a white cross on his hat.
  213. >He already had his hands full.
  214. >Unlike you, they had taken more serious injuries.
  215. >You began to crawl away from the nest towards safety.
  216.
  217. >You had gotten about 5 yards away when you heard the tank begin to roll closer towards you.
  218. >It was getting dangerously close.
  219. >Your jimmies were at mach speeds.
  220. >Your radio went to life again, it was your squad leader
  221. >”…ALPHA YOU GOT 5 SECONDS TO TAKE OUT THAT TANK OR WERE ALL FUCKING DEAD…”
  222. >In response you heard the distinct “Whooosh” of RPG’s whizzing through the air.
  223. > You watch as the RPG’s flies towards the tank and makes contact.
  224. > A huge explosion ensues.
  225. > What remains is a smoking pile of scrap metal
  226. >The shock wave from the blasts manages to reach you.
  227. >You were blown back a bit and your head hit against the concrete with a loud
  228.
  229. >THUD
  230.
  231. >…..
  232. >Slowly, you regain consciousness.
  233. >You try to move your arms and legs
  234. >But it’s no use, they’re tied up pretty well.
  235. >Here you are face down on the ground.
  236. >You see those ponies again.
  237. >The Purple one was scolding a white one.
  238. >Your gear was striped from you, the purple pony levitating it with her horn.
  239. >Once you get your bearings you realize you were no longer in the forest.
  240. >It was breaking dawn and you on some dirt road.
  241. >It didn’t take you long to realize you were dropped by the marshmallow pony.
  242. >Now this really rustled your jimmies.
  243. >You were never one to get angry, but this shit really rustled your jimmes.
  244. “Hey! HEY! I’m talking you! HEY!”
  245. >They all looked at you in shock, apparently not noticing that you came to.
  246. “You! Purple! Listen to me! Where the fuck am I? Who the fuck do you think you are tying me up like this? Let me go!”
  247. >You must look miserable, yelling to yourself on the ground all tied up.
  248. >Pussy.
  249. >The ponies conversed with each other for a bit and all nodded in unison.
  250. >Apparently, they have agreed on something!
  251. >Once again you feel the weightlessness overcome you as you a lifted into the air.
  252. >The yellow pony now flies next to you as they move. She’s observing your every detail.
  253. >After a while you eventually give up on yelling, it was pointless.
  254. >You couldn’t understand each other and they seemed to ignore you after a while.
  255. >It wasn’t before long that a town came into view.
  256.
  257. >It seemed as though it was empty.
  258. >You figure it’s because it’s the crack of morning.
  259. >Most houses you pass by are made of simple materials.
  260. >Wood, masonry and glass.
  261. >You assume this town was inhabited by other ponies as well.
  262. >Most doors seem small enough for them to just enter.
  263. >Eventually you reached the center of the town
  264. >You were beginning to ponder the thought on how a colony of ponies was able to create a small town such as this one.
  265. >I mean clearly, they don’t have manipulative appendages such as you.
  266. >You juggle the thought around in your head before dismissing it.
  267. >Much to your amusement a giant tree stood in the center of the town.
  268. >No seriously, this shit was huge.
  269. >A house seemed to be carved into the tree, with windows and small balconies visible throughout the leaves.
  270. “Oh, that’s just fan-fucking-tastic”
  271. >You grumble to yourself cursing out this town
  272. >Entering the tree house you notice how much bigger it is on the inside than out.
  273. >You also notice the plethora of books, it’s probably a library.
  274. >It’s no doubt in your mind now that these are sentient beings.
  275. >The white pony releases you onto the floor.
  276. >Exhausted from carrying your fat ass all day she collapses onto a nearby sofa that seemed to appear from fucking nowhere.
  277. >The purple pony soon calls out to a purple dragon who was in another room.
  278. >Well at least, it looks like a dragon
  279. >As soon as he notices you he yells in fear.
  280. >His voice confirms he’s indeed a male.
  281. >You’re not that scary looking are you?
  282. >The purple pony and dragon converse with each other, she’s probably bringing him up to speed on today events.
  283.
  284. >Now that you notice, the cyan pony with wings seems pretty pissed at you.
  285. >She rubs her wing in pain as she gives you a deadpan stare.
  286. >You chuckle to yourself.
  287. “It’s what you deserve you know! Heh.”
  288. >The yellow one has not let up her gaze the entire, completely fascinated by your presence.
  289. >The orange one still has that shit eating smirk on her face, still proud that she was able to knock you out.
  290. >The rest of the ponies sit around and just study you in detail.
  291. >You hadn’t noticed it, but the Purple pony and dragon have been furiously writing down letters.
  292. >As soon as they finish writing one, the dragon burns into thin air.
  293. >Momentarily another letter, probably a reply, is conjured up.
  294. “What the hell?”
  295. >You are truly fascinated with this.
  296.
  297. >You were about to wonder on how this is possible when your stomach interrupted you.
  298. *GRUMBLE GRUMBLE GRUMBLE*
  299. >Apparently, your stomach was loud enough for everyone in the room to stop what they were doing and stare at you.
  300. >You blush slightly in embarrassment.
  301. “I guess I’m hungry. Hehe”
  302. >Hungry didn’t even begin to cover it.
  303. >You were fucking starving.
  304. >You haven’t eaten in forever.
  305.
  306. >It didn’t take long for the purple pony to react.
  307. >She talked it over with the others and left the room.
  308. >When she enters the room again she was holding an apple.
  309. >Your mouth waters at the sight.
  310. >She then undoes your bindings.
  311. >She carefully comes near to you and begins speaking to you in a calm toe of voice.
  312. >You couldn’t understand shit.
  313. >But if you had to guess, she was probably telling you ‘Don’t do anything stupid’.
  314. >She hands you the apple with her hoof.
  315. >You tilt your head in awe.
  316. “How the hell did you just hold that?”
  317. >You dismiss the thought, accepting the apple.
  318. >Biting into it your met with its bittersweet taste
  319. >Holy shit, this is the best fucking apple ever.
  320. >You quickly finish it.
  321. >You are the most grateful person in the world right now.
  322. >You immediately dismiss any ideas that these guys meant to harm you.
  323. >You always were easy to win over.
  324. >Someone just had to bribe you with a little food… and BAM. You’d bend over backwards for them.
  325. >Although it doesn’t quell your hunger, that apple will have to do for now.
  326.
  327. >You stand up and un-dust your clothes.
  328. >Honestly though, it didn’t really matter.
  329. >You came out of a guerilla battlefield before this.
  330. >Before you had awoken up in the forest, you have spent the majority of your time on the city streets fighting for your country’s freedom against a maniacal super power nation.
  331. >You looked like a mess.
  332. http://imgur.com/kcmgA
  333. >You stretch out your limbs.
  334. >Being tied up in a fetal position for hours really hurts!
  335. >The ponies stare at you in awe.
  336. >You tower over them.
  337. >They probably couldn’t have noticed in the midst of night.
  338. >You kneel down on in front of the purple pony.
  339. >You look at her, eye to eye.
  340. >With your left hand, you raise it in front of yourself patting your chest.
  341. “Anonymous.”
  342. >You repeat the gesture a few times before they seem to understand.
  343. >She does the same gesture with her Hoof.
  344. >”Twwwiiliight”
  345. >Smiling, you then raise your right hand for a hand sh….hoof shake.
  346. >She returns the gesture.
  347.
  348. >Sure enough, a loud knocking came from the door.
  349. >As Twilight goes to answer you check outside the window.
  350. >In front of the library a huge chariot awaited.
  351. >It seemed very regal.
  352. >It was pulled by several Pegasus ponies.
  353. >All of them significantly larger than the one you had met so far.
  354. >They were probably male, you could tell by the muzzle shape.
  355.
  356. >Soon enough Twilight called out to you.
  357. >She couldn’t really pronounce your name right, probably due to the language barrier.
  358. >She nodded her head in a “Let’s Go” fashion.
  359. >You grab your things from the corner of the room.
  360. >You are extra careful your weapons are not loaded.
  361. >God forbid you fire off one of those in a chariot of officials.
  362.
  363. >Exiting the tree house you notice quite the crowd has gathered.
  364. >Your suspicions are confirmed.
  365. >This town is full of ponies.
  366. what_is_this_I_don’t_even…
  367. >They all stare at you in awe.
  368. >Some ever cower away in fear.
  369. >You just awkwardly smile and wave to them as you are ushered into the chariot.
  370. >You got a window seat.
  371. >Neat
  372. >Joining you inside would be the 6 ponies you met earlier and several other ponies.
  373. >You can only assume they are royal guards of some sort.
  374. >They all don armor with a coat of arms.
  375. >Before you can process the thought the chariot begins to move.
  376. >You stare out the window as you begin to gain speed.
  377. >Then you realize you are beginning to ascend.
  378. “Oh shiit. Oh shit. Oh shi.  Ohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitsohshit”
  379. >Everyone watches as you start to freak out.
  380. >It’s not that you hate flying, it’s just that you’ve never flown in a chariot drawn by Pegasus before.
  381. >You eventually get over your fear.
  382. >The rest of the flight consist of you awkwardly twiddling with your Hunting Rifle and lighter.
  383. >You could definitely use a smoke right now, but you doubt anyone here permits.
