- >It's been two years since you woke up just outside of Ponyville
- >Two years you've been living your dream
- >You don't remember how you got there, and you don't care
- >All you can remember is a bright light then a loud bang
- >The day you woke up your waifu found you
- >"W-who are you? How did you get here"
- >Tears start to form in your eyes as you stand
- "I-I'm Anon. I can't remember how I got here.."
- >"Well you can't stay out here. It's getting dark, and we're close to the Everfree Forest. Come with me, we'll figure out what happened to you. Together"
- >That's the day your life in Equestria started
- >The life you've always wanted
- >For a year and a half your new friends tried to get you home
- >Even with the help of Celestia they couldn't get you back
- >You don't mind
- >Eventually everyone accepts that you're staying
- >You've been staying with your waifu, the pony that found you that day two years ago.
- >"Wake up, Anon! I made breakfast for us."
- >You get up smiling
- >You whisper to yourself
- "Life couldn't be any better.."
- >But then it's back
- >The feeling you've been having for a month now
- >The feeling in the back of your mind
- >Something is wrong, but you can't put your finger on it
- >You push the thought out of your head, not wanting to keep her waiting
- "I'm coming! What're we having?"
- >You walk into the kitchen, the feeling still in the back of your head
- >"Pancakes. Your favorite."
- >You sit down, smiling despite the worry that's edged into your mind.
- "How could anything be wrong? This is all you've ever wanted."
- >You dwell on it, wondering what could be happening.
- >"So, how'd you sleep Anon?"
- >Her voice brings you back to reality
- >You look up at her
- "I slept well. You?"
- >You shovel another bite into your mouth as she answers
- >You can't pay attention to what she's saying.
- >You're back in your own head
- >She notices the worried look on your face.
- >"Are you ok, Anon?"
- "What? Oh, yeah. I'm fine."
- >You force a smile, not wanting her to worry about you.
- >"Ok, if you say so. Well I have some errands to run. I'll be back in a few hours. Unless you want to come with?"
- >You shake your head
- "No, I think I'll stay. I should clean up around here any ways."
- >She smiles and nods, turning towards the door
- >As she leaves you walk back into your room
- >The feeling comes back
- >It's more than just a looming feeling
- >It enters your mind as a thought, almost like a vision
- >It's coupled with an intense pain
- >All over your body you feel a deep aching
- >You hear yelling and see the bright light
- >The light from when you got to Equestria
- >Then just as quickly as it came, the feeling is gone
- >You stand up and look around your room
- >Everything is exactly the same
- "Don't know what else I was expecting.. Guess I should start cleaning up."
- >You go about your day, nothing else of importance happening
- >You sit back in the living room, examining your work
- >Everything is clean and organized
- >You start drifting off, but then you hear the door open
- >"Oh, I'm sorry Anon. I didn't mean to wake you."
- >You stand, rubbing the back of your neck
- "It's fine. I wasn't quite asleep anyways. So, uh, how did the errands go?"
- >Even after two years living with your her, you still get anxious when talking to her
- >She smiles, sensing the unease in your voice
- >"It went well. I can see you got a lot done here as well."
- >You think back to this morning, remembering the feeling
- "Yeah.."
- >"Anon, you're worrying me. Now tell me, whats going on?"
- >You look down at your feet and stammer
- "Really, its nothing. Don't worry about me."
- >"Anon, please. I want to help. Now, tell me."
- >You sigh and start speaking
- "Ok... For about a month now I've been getting a feeling in the back of my head. Like something is going to go wrong, and I just can't shake it..."
- >You intentionally leave this mornings episode out
- >You don't want her to know about the pain that came with the feeling
- >She stares at you intently, thinking about what to do with this information
- >"Listen Anon, nothing will go wrong. And even if something does, I'll be here to help you. And so will all my friends. You have nothing to worry about."
- >She walks over to you, and nuzzles into your shoulder and whispers
- >"Everything is perfect.."
- >A tear rolls down your cheek as wrap your arms around her neck
- "Almost too perfect.."
- >You pull away from the embrace
- >Her mane is sticking to your moist cheeks
- >"Anon, are you crying?"
- >She smiles teasingly
- >You wipe the tears away, letting go a quiet laugh
- "Yeah, I guess I am.."
- >You look down again
- >She puts her hoof underneath your chin, lifting your face to look into her eyes
- >"Really Anon, it will be ok. Just lay down for a bit, ok? I'll get started on dinner."
- >You nod, stray tears still falling from your eyes
- >You lay back, closing your eyes
- >It doesn't take long for you to fall asleep
- >You're dreaming
- >You're outside your house back on earth getting ready to cross the street
- >You see the light again, but brighter than before
- >"Wake up!"
- >You bolt up in bed, your eyes meeting hers
- >She jumps back a bit from your quick movement
- >"Anon, are you ok? You were thrashing about."
- >You yawn quietly and stretch
- "Oh, yeah. I'm fine. Just a bit of a bad dream."
- >She looks at you with a furrowed brow
- >"Ok, if you say so... C'mon, dinners ready."
- >You swing your legs off the bed, planting your feet on the floor
- "Ok, I'm coming. What are we having?"
- >She answers from your side, trotting to keep up with your long strides
- >"Oh, I just whipped up some hay fries. I figured a quick meal would be best tonight."
- >You never really got used to the food here, but you don't complain
- "Sounds good"
- >You eat your meal in silence
- >You can't stop thinking about the dream
- "What could that even mean?"
- >She looks up at you
- "What was that?"
- >You were talking aloud without realizing it
- "Hm? Oh, nothing. Just thinking out loud"
- >You did another fry in the ketchup and stick it in your mouth
- "Ok Anon.."
- >Shes not buying it, but doesn't push the subject
- >The rest of the meal goes silently
- "Well it's getting late. I'm gonna head to bed"
- >"Ok, Anon. Sleep well."
- >She waves one hoof at you, smiling brightly
- >You start walking to your room when she calls you back
- >"Anon, wait!"
- >You turn around quickly, worried that something is wrong.
- "What is it? Are you ok?"
- >She pulls you into a hug. tears in her eyes
- >"Good bye Anon. I love you. Remember that, ok?"
- "I love you too, but what do you mean 'goodbye'? I'm just going to bed."
- >"Oh, nothing.. It just felt right to say it.. Talk to you soon, Anon."
- >You furrow your brow, not sure what to make of what just happened
- "That was odd.."
- >You lay down and close your eyes
- >You roll around and try to get comfortable
- >Since when is this bed so hard and uncomfortable?
- >Eventually you fall into an uneasy sleep
- >You're dreaming again
- >You smell something
- >It smells clean
- >You hear something very faintly
- >Almost like a beeping
- >Despite your eyes still being closed, it's very bright
- >Almost like there are florescent lights
- >"Anon..Please wake up.."
- >That's not her voice
- >But it's familiar
- >You open your eyes and look around
- "No.. This can't be.."
- >Your mom hears you from across the hospital room
- >"Oh my god.. Anon! You're finally awake!"
- >She runs over to you and throws her arms around you
- >You sit there, not doing anything other than thinking
- "Mom.. What happened..?"
- >She pulls away from the hug and looks into your eyes
- >She sniffles and wipes the tears from her eyes
- >"A month ago.. you were crossing the street in front of your house.. The driver didn't see you."
- >Disbelief hits you like the car
- "A month.. Only a month.."
- >Shes in tears again
- >"I'm just so happy to have you back!"
- >You slowly wrap your arms around your mothers neck
- "Good to be back, mom.."
- >You never liked lying to your mother
- >Three weeks pass in the hospital
- >They're running tests to make sure you're healthy
- >You're in a depressed slump the entire time
- >They find nothing wrong with you physically, so they send you home
- >Your family and friends ask you several times what it was like
- >You give them the same answer every time
- "Perfect.."
- >They always give you the same confused looks in response
- >A year passes in that depressed slump
- >Eventually your friends force you to go out and have a good time
- >You all decide to go to a bar
- >You order your drink and sit at the bar
- >Then you see her
- >At the end of the bar, sitting there by herself
- >She looks familiar
- >Something about her draws you to her
- >You walk over to her awkwardly
- "Uhm, hello.."
- >She looks up and smiles
- >"Hello."
- >Her voice
- >It's so familiar..
- >You sit down next her, starting a conversation
- >You don't talk about anything in particular
- >You just talk
- >You talk until the bar closes
- >Both of you opening up about who you both are
- >Shes so similar..
- "I know we just met, but it feels like I've known you for years."
- >You realize how weird that sounds
- "I-I'm sorry. That sounded so creepy."
- >She giggles and puts her hand on your shoulder
- >"I know how you feel.. Here's my number call me sometime, ok?"
- >You take the slip of paper, putting it in your pocket
- "You got it. Talk to you soon."
- >She gives you a hug and a kiss on the cheek
- >You walk away with your hand on the spot she kissed feeling happy
- >Feeling happy for the first time since that last hug you shared in Equestria
- >You know this is what she would want for you
- >You start to tear up, still smiling
- >In your head you hear her voice
- >Saying one thing
- "Perfect.."
