- >The sun hung low in the morning sky, the moist grass glimmered in the radiant light
- >Hues of red, orange, and yellow, burning across the skies
- >birds chirping as they search for food, rabbits boucing about, squirrels scurrying here and there
- >Solaire looked on as these strange creatures went about their lives
- >What a wonderful place this is, so full of life
- >Oblivious
- >A noise caught his attention, but he remained stiil, not wishing to disturb
- >The noise was of wings, flapping, across the simple bridge, at the base of the road
- >It was another like miss Shy, a winged horse, but this one was different, it was gray, with a yellowish hair
- >It wore a thin blue covering, and a thin blue helm to match
- >most basic of any armor, would provide little to no protection, and what's more, it had around it's neck, a bag
- >not of items to use on one's quest, no, but mere papers
- >The flying horse had taken notice to the strange object by Fluttershy's door
- >Slowly the creature flew over to where Solaire sat, looking him over
- >Keeping still, Solaire could see that the animal's eyes were, obverse ... one on him, and the other, on something else
- >It flapped above him, looking close at his helm, peering into the shaded slit where his eyes looked back
- >A slight grimace worked it's way over the creature's face, almost, disgust
- >It looked down at the rest of the thing, a torn picture of a sun, blocky metal peices linked together
- >"Fluttershy has done some weird things, but what is with this? Is it an ornament or something?"
- "Oh, you must be a friend of miss Shy's, My name is Sol-"
- >"uuuUUUAAAAAAHHHH!!!" the grey pony jolted back before zooming away, into the sky, papers falling everywhere
- >Solaire remained sitting, hand outstretched, before retracting himself
- "I see, I am still undesirable here"
- >The door to Fluttershy's house slammed oped as she rushed out
- >"What?! Who's that?! What was that screaming?!"
- "Oh, there was another here, like yourself"
- >"Some other pony? Well what happened?"
- "My apologies, I seem to have scared it away."
- >Solaire stood, brushing off the few leaves that had fallen into him
- "It was my fault really, I had startled it"
- >"Oh, well," she landed near him, "who was it?"
- "I am unsure of it's name, but it had wings, like yours,"
- "However it was gray, with a yellow coloured hair"
- >"A gray pegasi with a yellow mane? Im not sure if I know..."
- "It also had a discernible feature, one of it's eyes appeared to move on it's own."
- >"OH! That's Derpy!" Fluttershy's head popped up, "But what would she be doing here?"
- "She appeared to be placing papers in that device there."
- >Solaire pointed at Fluttershy's mailbox, as she took notice to all the papers around her yard
- >"Oh, that's right, she's the mailmare"
- >Solaire tilted his head
- "Mare? As in a female horse?"
- >"why, yes, kind of, female pony"
- "Ahh, and you are also a mare?"
- >"Well," Fluttershy turned and blushed, embarrassed, "yes"
- "And can I presume there are male hors- .. forgive me, male ponies here too?"
- >Fluttershy turned back around
- >"Yes, and they're called stallions"
- "Oh brilliant!"
- >Solaire raised his arms slightly, fists up to his chest, in an almost triumphant pose
- "So there are similarities of this place and Lordran"
- >"um, what?" Fluttershy looked up to him, questioningly
- >Solaire lowered his arms
- "Oh, my apologies. I'm just surprised in the likenesses of our languages,"
- "I for one, have never spoken to a pony before."
- "Though, there is lady Alvina of the Darkroot Gardens, and the various dragons of the lands who know the tongue."
- >Fluttershy looked on to him, a slight peak of interest
- >"Dragons speak your language too?"
- "Oh, why only a few, I honestly haven't met many who wouldn't just attack at their first chance."
- "But you have dragons here who speak the language?"
- >"Why yes, infact, they all do, but dragon are really scary. except..."
- "Except?"
- "Oh, well, Spike is a baby dragon, he helps Twilight at the library"
- >fluttershy shifted her head towards the town down the road
- >"Oh! We should go so You can meet Twilight!"
- >Fluttershy turned to walk forward, but stopped
- >"Oh my, I'm so sorry! You must be starving! Please, let me get you something to eat!"
- >Fluttershy quickly rushed back in her house
- "Oh no, do not worry, that won't be a problem"
- >"Wha? But you mush neef to eath."
- >"fluttershy said with a bag in her mouth, just pulled from the fridge
- "Really, do not trouble yourself, I do not require food, not anymore"
- >"but, how?" Fluttershy tossed the bag back into the fridge
- "I am unsure myself, but since becoming undead, I haven't required it."
- "When I do find myself tired, I have this."
- >He held up a strange withered bottle
- "This is an estus flask, what it actually contains, I am unsure.
- "But I find the substance quiteuseful as it can not only replenish my energy, but also heals my body of any wounds I may have sustained."
- >"oh, wow, and it never runs out?"
- "Oh no, it can, but it refills itself at a bonfire during a time of rest."
- >"Oh my, that's some interesting magic, you just HAVE to meet Twilight now."
- >Fluttershy shut her door and walked with Solaire down the path along the road, towards town.
- >Along the way, Fluttershy spoke up, attempting to start a conversation
- >"So, can you tell me more about where you came from? just not the scary stuff."
- "My homeland? Well, I had began my journey in the great land of Astoa,"
- "But my search for my own sun had led me to Lordran, the land of gods, birthplace of Lord Gwyn himself."
- >"Gwyn? Who's that?"
- >Solaire paused, halting in>Solaire took notice of his posture, a glorious daze, the midst of walk
- "Lord Gwyn, the first of the sun, the great king who led his knight in battle against the tyranny of the dragons of old."
- "Lord Gwyn was the savior of man, but, .... he had fallen to his own conviction."
- "He had brought about the age of fire in the turns of war. However, as the age of dragons came to an end, he became, corrupt...."
- >Solaire looked down to the scuffed, braised leggings he bore, a sorrowful emination surrounding him
- >Fluttershy looked on to him, concerned
- >"Oh my, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-"
- "Lord Gwyn had forsaken himself in his quest to gain power. Even his own family had abandonned him and his teachings."
- >Fluttershy shuffled slightly, silently resenting herself for having asked
- >"We don't .... have to talk about it.... It, it was my fault. Please, don't be..."
- "Provacations Miss Shy, do not trouble yourself with such matters. My lord had lost himself long before I had even taken a living breath."
- >Solaire continued his pace down the path, FS trailing slowly behind him
- "Once my lord had lost his way, there was nope hope remaining for my home."
- "The gods had left us, forsaken, and we their people had suffered fates even after death."
- >He stood still, looked to the sky, hands raised
- "And so I began my journey, to find my very own sun. To continue the dreams propelled by the great father, Lord Gwyn."
- >Taking notice of his posture, a glorious daze overcoming him, a deceiteful reminder
- >Lowering his hands, his head drooped, a sullen look on his unseen face
- "Or, am I the one who has lost his way?"
