Verse 1: The awakening of Surt the fire giant walks again, three years of winter freezing cold, a fearsome tempest over all land Jörmungar releases his bite. From the death realm evil march. A battle takes place on the fields of Vigrid.
 
Verse 2: Odin is in the frontlines leading the army of the gods Mjölnir hits the head of Jörmungar and dead he falls, nine steps Thor takes before also he falls down dead. Arrow pierces dragons head. This is no normal bloodshed.
