Title: Evil always finds a way: pt2 Honesty Author: Kurgash Pastebin link: http://pastebin.com/2TFC78Td First Edit: Monday 26th of January 2015 11:32:40 PM CDT Last Edit: Last edit on: Monday 26th of January 2015 11:49:40 PM CDT >On the outskirts of an ordinary looking farm, you could see a forest of what looked to be apple trees stretching across every horizon. >"Sire, if your mistress's information is correct, the first element we need to dispatch should be residing on this plot of land." >"Darling, do make sure to exert some of that frustration out on the local flora. That farm feeds a good majority of the nearby towns. A starving population is one that won't fight back." >"Your wench has a good point. Uproot what you can and hoard the rest. Putting your heel on their food supply should allow you to better control the local come next stage of our plan." >Several dozen Browns went to work chopping and eating everything in sight. You brought only a handful of Reds for fear of raising an alarm should a fire get out of control in this remote location. >In the distance you saw another horse creature like that in the quarry. It hasn't noticed your minions at work yet but certainly saw you. >Wearing a cliche westerner hat, it approached you with a quizzical nature. "Begging your pardon sir but might I ask how I can help you? Being the whole you trespassing on private property?" >"There she is, one of Twilight's little friends. Applejock or something. It doesn't matter, quickly take care of her and get back to business." "Sir? Cat got your tongue? Say, you look like you're dressed for some kind of Renaissance party. And you're a mighty strange one? Don't think I've seen something like you before." >"Sire, quickly. Send her to the glue factory!" >You slowly started to clench the handle of your mace and made a quick strike, too high as you're used to normal human sized opponents. >Dodging low, she starts yelling for help. Some Browns leap from the trees and try to weigh he down. Bucking them off, she sends them flying into the trees with some sharp kicks to the face. "Big Mac, help! We got gremlins eating the farm." >Another horse comes into view, barreling straight for you. >Watching as some Browns tried to hold down the orange horse, you felt a tinge of fear as the red horse slammed hapless minions out of the to rescue his kin. >Stomping minions, the remainders ran in panic past you back up the trees. >"Crack those knuckles and put this beast out to pasture sire!" >Catching the beast's charge head on, you grabbed it by the ornament hanging around it's neck. Using it's own weight, you forced the creature to the ground sending it toppling over. >Looking back to the other horse, you caught a hoof square in the faceplate. >"Oh, I could feel that just watching sire." >"Try not to rough up your good looks dear, I'd hate to have to put a bag over your head." >Stumbling back, you gained your balance using your mace as an anchor. Getting another hoof to the chest you were sent on your back. The orange horse stood over you, clearly upset. "Ah don't know who you are or what you're doing but you don't go roughing up family on their own property." >Seizing her by the hoof with your gauntlet, you pulled her to the ground and pressed your weight to her pinning her. >"That's it sire, fight dirty. Now, finish her off and let's be done with this miserable little splotch of land." >Holding the gauntlet over her face, you clutched her by the mouth and slowly drained her life force, leaving her in a mindless state. Letting her up, you watched as she aimlessly bumped into trees. >"Hmm, not quite the revenge I had in mind but still effective. Good job beloved." >"Sire, when you get back let's check on the tower heart. I think I heard something rumble in the pit." >Gathering up your surviving minions, you had your Reds enjoy themselves as they set aflame everything in sight while the Browns helped the red horse and orange one back to the lair with squeals of delight and sinister giggling. >After hauling off large amounts of food, the Reds burned the grove of trees. Feeling satisfied, you saw in the distance a lone house overseeing the acres. >Approaching the house, you see a wizened old horse rocking back and forth in a chair. She looks up at you with a stern distaste. "I know what you did and I know what you're here to do. So you best get on with it." >Walking towards her, you drag your mace on the ground to build the tension. >Raising it high above you, the old horse doesn't flinch as you bring it down. "Granny! Stop!" >A little horse thing runs out of the house and gets in front, stopping your swing in the confusion. "Applebloom I thought I told you to hide in the house?" "But Granny, I couldn't just sit back and watch." "But nothing little missy." >"Sire, as much as I love a heart warming family separation, we have a schedule to keep and by now I'm sure the smoke can be seen for miles." >Lowering your mace you start to leave the house. Stopping mid step, you turn back and grab the little horse to take with you. "Let her go, she's done nothing wrong! She's just a young'n." >Ignoring the old nag, you keep a firm grip on the filly as you march back to the lair, calling what straggling minions you could find back from their mischief. >With the apple farm behind you, you dumped the filly onto some other minions to carry as you held aloft a plump, red apple. Working your fingers over it, the apple started to bubble and rot at your touch. Very interesting. >Arriving back to the lair, you see your minions running about building cranes and forming the stone around the dead tree. "Ah there you are sire. Come quickly, the Tower Heart has had quite the interesting development." >Following Gnarl into the chamber, you saw the Heart still holding a shade of red like before but now some blue is piercing through. "It's just as the wench said, dealing with these elements of harmony is having a positive effect on the Heart." >Gnarl sees you clutching the rotten apple. Taking it from you he eyes it over, watching as it slowly rejuvenated and gained a lush, crisp red coloring again. "Sire, it would seem your magic has a strange adverse affect on the land. If my hunches are correct...quickly let's see." >Gnarl hobbles out of the chamber with haste and finds a passing pony. "Go on you dumb animal, eat. You must be famished working day and night. A reward." >The pony eyes Gnarl suspiciously but greedily eats the offered apple. >Coils of magic snaked around the creature as it fell to the ground in shock. >Slowly rising, it had the same blank stare as the orange horse had before when you drained part of her life force. Gnarl rubbed his hands together in glee. "Sire, with these apples we can infect the local population without need of attacking town after town. Of course you can still burn and pillage at your leisure but a zombie just doesn't give the same thrill as a horrified peasant." >Seeing piles of crates, you pour your magic into some of them, leaving the others untouched. "Cunning sire. Give them the untainted product first to build up trust. Then we hit with the good stuff!" >Walking to Chrysalis's accommodations, you saw several of her own drones mulling about. Entering, you find her leaning over a table with a map spread out, a mark where the apple farm was followed by several marks in a single town. >Getting behind her, you run your hands down her waist just stopping as she starts to rise at your touch. >A soft hiss escapes her as she curls her hand inside yours. "Oh, don't start what you can't finish my beloved. But there will be plenty of time for celebrations later. The farm was just the start." >Letting your hand go, she turns back to the map. "If what my little spies have told me, there are several elements living in this town. Laughter, Generosity and possibly Magic. Having disabled Honesty, you should be able to now attack them at your leisure. But of course, the quicker it's done, the more time I'll have you all to myself..." >Giving a light peck on your helmet, she leaves you to stare at the map. >The town would be lightly guarded but expansive. A simple minion blitz would create enough commotion to round up the populace but if any creatures slipped through everything could be undone if the alarm was raised. "Sire, there you are. Thought I'd find you here trying to get an early reward." >Gnarl poured over the map on the possible element locations, one of which being in the sky. "Hmm. If we were to attack the town, it could have serious complications later if the active ruling body discovers our whereabouts. We don't have the means yet of getting to the sky so that leaves one location left." >He gave you a toothy grin as his long, crusted nail jabbed at the map where a little cottage dwell at the edge of the forest.
