(This is more of an idea to be discussed than a true submission...yet. Isn't my impression of Celestia uncanny? [Spoiler, it isn't.] Not to be put into action quite yet, but mulling over the idea and seeing if it would work to ween us off the teat of the mainland and set goals for us as a town.)
 
 
To the citizens of Four Cannon,
It has come to my attention that the acts in which you've partaken in has caused fear in the hearts of my citizens. Murder of others for reasons not of saftey, murder of each other, and disregard for the environment and world around you. I'm sorry, but my suspicions were correct. Your violent nature is not welcomed in our peaceful land therefore,  I'm afraid I will have to sever the ties between us. You will no longer receive direct aid from us, nor will we trade with your town.
 
But I have not lost hope of you completely. You are the longest lasting colony that has ever been placed there and for that, I can see your potential. If you can gain the trust of others in the area and beyond, come up with a way to calm this land, and find peace within yourselves, I will open the doors to you again with open arms.

(Gaining the trust of others leads into the Faction idea I've been playing with. Each treaty we manage to gain could earn a favor point with the royals. Each Un needed violent act we do or make allies with a darker group takes away favor points. So this would come down to a mix of either gaining light in the main land's eyes and having them welcome us again, or they abandon us while we have ties with "the dark sides" for resources and surviving. This "dark side" edgy thing I'm speaking of, are making allies and Tues with more bandit groups, dark magic users, etc. Which would provide us with more money and power versus the other ones but at a cost of us being hated and may be even attacked more by others.
 
Ah, morality choices. Fun aren't they?)
