Monster Island will be using the 2.0 Rules, link here: goo.gl/GZeKHu
And it will be using my Monster Hunter Splat, link here: goo.gl/gJen74
And players can use the Expanded Racials Splat, link here: goo.gl/Dhnbjt
For characters, I highly prefer for you to use a new character.
You can start with whatever items, but NO weapons or armor of any kind. Spellcasters can still start with a catalyst though.
You can also start with 1 profession listed in the splat as well.
For the setting, it takes place on an island, one of 7 that were newly discovered. Practically nothing is know about them to the rest of the world, only that new species of animals were seen and that a small village was set up there by ponies and others who wanted to see more of what the island holds. Aside from this, everything else is just considered rumors.
The party (the players) are setting out to live on this island, so your backstory will need to include a reason as to why you're moving there. This can be absolutely anything you want and you can make up whatever you want (because of the rumors), so be creative.
Put some thought into your character, this game will last a while, so make someone you'd like to play a lot.
Once you make your sheet, put it up on this Google Doc: goo.gl/mVgxhH
Monster Island Specific Rules:
Trading
You can trade unwanted, or excess monster loot for ores or gems, if no other player can gather some for you.
When trading for ore, you must match the tier of the loot to the ore: Small=Iron, Medium=Mithril, Large=Adamant, Monstrous=Rune.
General loot (Bone, Carapace, Fin, Pelt, Elemental Core, Scales, Hide, Large Bone, Plant Mass, Wing, Armor Plate, Claw) is traded 2 pieces for 1 ore.
The specific loot unique to each monsters is traded 1 piece for 1 ore.
When trading loot for gems, any loot can be traded for any gem. Loot for gems is 1 piece regardless of type for one gem.
