  1. Log from #Training-Grounds on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 9PM EDT: "PI Training Series:  Back To Basics: Learning The Energetic Body Boot Camp Pt. 1", hosted by Forge:
  2. [21:02:49] <Forge> today we are going to be doing some pretty basic energy manipulation techniques, starting with a lesson and moving on to a training session
  3. [21:03:01] <Forge> we will be covering the energetic body at the most basic and simple today
  4. [21:03:27] <whisperinggirl> any prior knowledge needed?
  5. [21:04:14] <Forge> none at all
  6. [21:04:53] <Zephyr> oh
  7. [21:04:55] <Zephyr> there's a class?
  8. [21:05:05] <Forge> its a class training yes
  9. [21:05:06] <Little_Dragon> yep
  10. [21:05:10] <Zephyr> cool
  11. [21:05:34] <Zephyr> pity the one time I have internet for it I'm busy .-.
  12. [21:05:35] <Little_Dragon> well, more specifically one focusing on the most basic stuff.  Havew to have a strong foundation if you want to build that tower.
  13. [21:05:40] * Baltazaar hums the rocky theme and punches some pigs to get in the mood
  14. [21:06:32] <Forge> what we will start with is the structure of the energetic body
  15. [21:06:38] <Forge> anatomy if you will
  16. [21:07:31] <Forge> the energetic system that we will be covering is the chakra and meridian system
  17. [21:07:45] <Forge> meridians can also be called tenketsu depending on whom you ask, but in essence they are the same structures
  18. [21:08:57] <Forge> the standard energetic system has 7 main chakras and many many lesser chakras. these act as the organs and glands of the energetic body
  19. [21:09:11] <Forge> they provide the body with energy from multiple locations, including the physical.
  20. [21:09:59] <Forge> any questions so far?
  21. [21:10:03] <Forge> dont be afraid to interrupt
  22. [21:10:21] <whisperinggirl> do we get pics?
  23. [21:10:40] <NamelessTraveler> Yeah, pictures would help a lot. :)
  24. [21:11:15] <Forge> http://www.rainbowinstitute.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/Chakra1.jpg
  25. [21:11:18] <NamelessTraveler> I've never heard of the lesser chakras, interesting...
  26. [21:11:48] <Forge> lesser chakras are not as important in the energetic system as they provide less energy to the system than the main ones, but they are invaluable none the less
  27. [21:11:59] <whisperinggirl> is it possible for people to be missing some or have them in different locations for the lesser ones?
  28. [21:12:14] * NamelessTraveler nods, and keeps listening
  29. [21:12:14] <Forge> it is entirely possible, but not that common
  30. [21:12:45] <whisperinggirl> pics of the lesser ones?
  31. [21:12:46] <Forge> http://www.rickrichards.com/chakras/chakra_man1.jpg
  32. [21:12:48] <NamelessTraveler> Wow! Is there a way to replace a chakra if it's missing? :o
  33. [21:13:06] <Forge> NamelessTraveler, yes, that is in a later boot camp coming up
  34. [21:13:21] <Forge> the picture i just posted shows 6 of the major chakras and the meridian lines
  35. [21:13:35] <NamelessTraveler> Ok then. :)
  36. [21:13:41] <whisperinggirl> how can you tell if one is missing?
  37. [21:14:16] <Forge> that is something we will cover as well whisperinggirl
  38. [21:14:29] <whisperinggirl> ok
  39. [21:14:43] <Forge> while the major chakras act as vital organs, the lessers act (and most times are in the same place as) pressure points on the body
  40. [21:17:46] <Forge> the chakras can pull energy naturally from 3 locations, one being what is mostly referred to as the mental realm, which is the closest layer of the astral to the earth, and because of this is influenced heavily by things happening on the earth and looks like a copy of the earth, if you have ever had an OBEE, more than likely it took place on the mental realm.
  41. [21:17:59] <Little_Dragon> Not a question, but just a point:  Depending on which system you are using the body is reported to have anywhere between 5 and 8 major chakras but the belief in 7 major chakras is the most popular and in my opinion it seems to fit the best.
  42. [21:18:34] <Forge> the other systems tend to recognize other chakras but will focus on the amount of the system in question
  43. [21:19:12] <Forge> and there are chakral systems that work on up to 256 chakras
  44. [21:19:24] <Forge> too needlessly complicated for my tastes though
  45. [21:20:10] <whisperinggirl> what is each for the 7?
  46. [21:20:35] <Simica> a book I have talks about 547 chakra points
  47. [21:21:10] <Forge> needlessly too many in my opinion
  48. [21:22:13] <Forge> the seven chakras, from the bottom of the spine up, are: the root, the sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye, and crown.
  49. [21:22:41] <Little_Dragon> Nonethless after you learn what you need to about the 7 major chakras learning about the other chakras would still be good, I suppose
  50. [21:23:14] <Forge> i agree, but for this i will only be using the 7 chakra system for the sake of ease
  51. [21:24:59] <whisperinggirl> info about each?..or a cheat sheet on them?
  52. [21:25:55] <Forge> http://pastebin.com/BsY6u919
  53. [21:26:06] <Forge> a pastebin with a quick reference to each of the 7 main chakras
  54. [21:28:37] <Forge> the second location the chakras can pull energy from is the energetic layer that vibrates at the same frequency as the chakra in question
  55. [21:29:17] <Forge> and the third being the core, which is where the most pure essence of your being resides
  56. [21:33:28] <Forge> any questions?
  57. [21:33:38] <whisperinggirl> i'm good for now
  58. [21:33:44] <whisperinggirl> though i sent you a pm
  59. [21:33:49] <Forge> i saw it
  60. [21:35:14] <Little_Dragon> and what of the soul?  wouldn't something be harnessed from that?
  61. [21:35:27] <Little_Dragon> or ambient energies?
  62. [21:36:00] <Forge> the core is what leads ot the soul
  63. [21:36:08] <Forge> ambient energies are pulled in through the mental realm
  64. [21:36:20] <Little_Dragon> If somebody connects to an energy source, which chakra or part usually connects to that?
  65. [21:36:53] <Little_Dragon> Which chakras pull energy from what?
  66. [21:37:00] <whisperinggirl> can you hurt yourself if you pull too much from your core?
  67. [21:37:08] <Forge> whisperinggirl, yes
  68. [21:37:18] <Little_Dragon> and where does the core pull energy from?
  69. [21:37:27] <Forge> Little_Dragon: the outside energy moves through the meridians into the energetic body
  70. [21:37:27] <whisperinggirl> can you give more detail?
  71. [21:37:36] <Forge> Little_Dragon the core /is/ energy
  72. [21:37:53] <Little_Dragon> so is the rest of the energy body
  73. [21:38:05] <Forge> whisperinggirl, extreme fatigue, headaches, possibility of blacking out
  74. [21:38:07] <Little_Dragon> ok, so where does the core's energy come from in your opinion?
  75. [21:38:26] <NamelessTraveler> What do you mean by energetic layers?
  76. [21:38:43] <whisperinggirl> can there be long term damage or just short term?
  77. [21:38:56] <Forge> Little_Dragon, let me rephrase, the core is a source of energy that comes from refining the energy passed through the energetic system, into the soul, and into the core
  78. [21:39:05] <Forge> whisperinggirl, both depending
  79. [21:39:20] <whisperinggirl> what kind of long term?
  80. [21:39:28] <Forge> NamelessTraveler, the astral is a layered place, even to the point where there can be multiple locations in one place.
  81. [21:39:44] <Forge> whisperinggirl, it depends, im not much of an expert on what happens so much as how to fix it
  82. [21:39:49] <NamelessTraveler> Ahh, ok.
  83. [21:40:07] <whisperinggirl> what are the kinds of things that need fixed?
  84. [21:40:43] <Forge> whisperinggirl, anything from chakras flowing in the opposite direction to being shattered. it really varies as much as the human body
  85. [21:41:46] <Forge> what we are going to do tonight is just learn to pull some energy from the ckaras and move it around the energetic body
  86. [21:44:57] <whisperinggirl> is this ok to do it we might have a damaged chakra?
  87. [21:45:03] <Forge> yes its fine
  88. [21:47:51] <Forge> all you have to do is focus on your chakras. they will give a physical feeling in response when they start to open up, and pull some energy from them and move it about your body
  89. [21:48:10] <whisperinggirl> from how many at a time?
  90. [21:48:33] <whisperinggirl> and is there an order to go in?
  91. [21:48:34] <Forge> that is up to you
  92. [21:48:42] <Forge> the whole point of the exorcise is just to try to pull and move energy
  93. [21:49:20] <Little_Dragon> but aren't chakras regulators of energy, not sources?
  94. [21:50:51] <Little_Dragon> granted, to regulate energy they would need to be able to harness it...
  95. [21:51:16] <Forge> they gather energy from other places for you to use, thus they are your source, even if they do not technically produce it themselves
  96. [21:52:34] <Little_Dragon> somewhat unrelated question:  if you focus on only using the energy that comes from you and try to avoid taking in outside energies, is that more detrimental overall?
  97. [21:53:28] <Forge> yes, i dont advise doing this
  98. [21:53:41] <Little_Dragon> I figured as much.
  99. [21:54:37] <Little_Dragon> so, what signs should people look out for to tell if they drew too much energy and are risking damage from overload of an energy body part ot a deficiency in toe sources?
  100. [21:54:53] <Little_Dragon> the
  101. [21:54:55] <Little_Dragon> *
  102. [21:54:58] <Forge> a feeling of tiredness or pain
  103. [21:55:42] <Little_Dragon> so pain = bad...but what if there are neither and you still suffer damage?
  104. [21:57:58] <Forge> then you need to be more sensitive to your energetic body
  105. [21:58:09] <Forge> which is another reason for practicing feeling and moving energy
  106. [21:59:09] <Little_Dragon> agreed...and by being more sensitive to your energetic body sensing energy around you becomes easier.
  107. [21:59:50] <Forge> how is the practice coming for you, whisperinggirl
  108. [22:00:05] <whisperinggirl> sorry....left for a bit to get food
  109. [22:00:37] <Little_Dragon> Practice is going ok but for some reason the motion of the increased eneregy feels inefficient
  110. [22:01:56] <Forge> what chakras are you using Little_Dragon
  111. [22:02:02] <Forge> where are you pushing it in your body
  112. [22:02:32] <Little_Dragon> all of them, mostly just circulating it, and at times pushing it to arms
  113. [22:03:05] <Little_Dragon> now trying legs, since i do not use them much in energy work energy flows poorly there.
  114. [22:03:37] <Little_Dragon> but the rest just feels sluggish at times for some reason.
  115. [22:03:54] <Little_Dragon> like it fluctuates
  116. [22:04:10] <Forge> why dont you open up some of the smaller chakras
  117. [22:04:19] <Little_Dragon> ok
  118. [22:04:39] <Little_Dragon> been focusing mainly on the major ones
  119. [22:05:19] <Little_Dragon> that helps, actually
  120. [22:06:44] <Forge> dont forget to move with the natural energy lines in your system too
  121. [22:06:44] <Little_Dragon> but now i am noticing some meridians do not flow well.
  122. [22:08:02] <Little_Dragon> oh, right
  123. [22:09:45] <whisperinggirl> i tried it and it kind of stopped at my hand and won't move again
  124. [22:09:58] <whisperinggirl> or transfer to the other hand
  125. [22:10:30] <whisperinggirl> ditto with my feet
  126. [22:16:25] <Forge> i think this has concluded this weeks boot camp, i encourage you guys to keep practicing the basics we went over today, they will definitely help for next week
