  2. “I really don't even know you, and yet, in my life, you are forever entangled; to my history, inextricably bound.”
  3. ― Sarah Ockler
  4.
  5.
  6. >As you, Hope and Trixie make your way through Ponyville in the early hours of the morning, you couldn’t help but wonder why Trixie would want to come back here.
  7. “Didn’t you have a scuffle with Twilight Sparkle?”
  8. >She nods. ”As much as the Great and Powerful Trixie doesn’t like to admit it, Trixie did have to swallow her pride. But it just goes to show how truly humble she really is.”
  9. >Even in humility she is still boastful.
  10. >“I was nearby and thought I should visit her again for old time’s sake.” She adds.  The small town was quiet, not a pony in sight.
  11. >The only one you could imagine being up at this time would be AppleJack; what with her being a farmer and all. Still, it was Twilight that you needed to talk to.
  12. >Hope was looking around at all the buildings with a certain kind of awe.
  13. >Maybe now would be a good time to try and talk to her again. Trixie takes the lead to guide you and Hope to Twilight’s house.
  14. “Never seen buildings before?”
  15. >”No, can’t say I have. I’ve never seen so many all built in such a close area.”
  16. “So where do you and Lyra live right now?”
  17. >”I’m not at liberty to say. Not that it matters. You weren’t going to honor your end of the deal. ” Her reply was cold.
  18. “Hope, you have to understand it from my perspective. It’s been nothing but trouble for me since I’ve arrived. I’m accused of something I didn’t do and you have my sister’s necklace. One way or another, I think I’ll be going with you to see your mother. But first I think it’s important that we talk to Twilight.”
  19. >”What makes you think she can help?” Hope looks up to you. You see her amber eyes staring straight at you as if to say she wasn’t ready to listen.
  20. “Twilight is a student of Princess Celestia; she also bears the Element of Magic. Surely you’ve heard of Twilight and her friends and how they saved Equestria numerous times?”
  21. >”Mother mentioned them from time to time, but not much else.” She looks away from you. “All she ever talks about is how she hopes to make the world a better place. That and how I should be more serious.”
  22. “About what?”
  23. >”On how to hunt the killer of my father.” Her tone becomes grimmer.
  24. >In a flash you recall everything you said to her in the heat of the moment. True you lost your sister, but this poor kid never had a father.
  25. >The last Anon would’ve been a great father, but instead his life was cut short. She was under the false idea that you killed him.
  26. “About what happened back there, I didn’t mean to...”
  27. >”We’re both in the same boat. We lost someone dear to us. I too felt close to finishing you off when I first caught you, even if it was against my mother’s wishes.”
  28. >You stop in your tracks.
  29. “Well, what if it wasn’t against her wishes? What would you have done?”
  30. >Hope stops as well but she just keeps looking straight ahead.
  31. >That moment in time felt as though it was going to last forever. You stood there waiting for her to reply.
  32. >You hear Trixie yelling back at you, “What’s the hold up? We’re right here!” She waves her hoof towards a giant tree with built-in windows, porches and a door. Just as you remember it from the show.
  33. >Without any time to lose, you walk up to the front door and give a few good knocks. It’s still early in the morning, so you can’t expect her to be at the door right away.
  34. >None of you say anything as you stand there and wait in awkward silence.
  35. >You could only imagine how Twilight might react.
  36. >From within you hear movement and groaning. Twilight must be getting out of bed.
  37. >You give a few more knocks on the door. You hear the latch click and the door swings open.
  38. >There stood a sleepy-eyed Twilight, her mane slightly messy as she rubs her eyes. “Do you have any idea what ti-“
  39. >Her words were cut short when she looks up to you.
  40. >There was a brief pause.
  41. >”Anon...?”
  42. >But before you could answer her, she falls over. Trixie immediately rushes to her side. “Twilight!”
  43. >Hope looks down on her. “What’s wrong?”
  44. “She just fainted. Let’s get her inside.”
  45. >As you approach the lavender pony, you see a familiar purple dragon descending a flight of stairs. “What’s all the commotion?”
  46. >Spike stares down at you, blinks, and rubs his eyes to make sure he isn’t seeing things. “Wait, is that you Anon?”
  47. “Not exactly. I’ll explain everything.”
  48. >You gingerly pick up Twilight and carry her upstairs to her room. You lay her on the bed while Spike and Trixie tend to her, making sure she’s comfortable.
  49. >Seeing Twilight passed out made you feel like doing the same.
  50. “I’m going to take a quick snooze. Wake me up when she comes around.”
  51. >You head back downstairs and sit on the biggest couch available. Hope does the same and finds her own spot to lie down.
  52. >And like that, you are out like a light.
  53. >Just like old times.
  54. >You would come home from work and crash on the couch, but sure enough your sister was tugging at your arm.
  55. >”Anon, I want to go to the park...” She quietly whines.
  56. >It was tough enough to make ends meet, but you had to take care of your little sister too.
  57. >She was the only family you had left now.
  58. >For now she stayed at the apartment until you got enough money to send her to school.
  59. >You picked up a second job.
  60. >It was hard.
  61. >Really hard.
  62. >But you had to do it. For her and for yourself.
  63. >Everything you have ever done was for the two of you.
  64. >Not only did you finally get afloat financially, but you saved enough money for a special necklace for her as a birthday gift.
  65. >It was half a pendant with her birthstone embedded inside.
  66. >But when she disappeared a year ago, that’s when you felt this emptiness inside.
  67. >People said that you were changing, but you ignored them. They had no idea.
  68. >But you couldn’t help but wonder what your sister would say if she saw you in the state that you put yourself in.
  69. >You feel a hand tugging at your arm. “Anon...”
  70. >For that brief moment you thought it was her.
  71. >Your eyes blink several times before revealing that it was only Hope standing over you.
  72. >You rub your eyes.
  73. “How long was I asleep for?”
  74. >”Few hours, but Twilight was already up awhile ago.”
  75. “Where is she?”
  76. >”In the other room with Trixie.” You lean up from the couch and stretch, you feel as though you could easily sleep the whole day away.
  77. “Did you talk to her?”
  78. >”That mare was still upset when she woke up. Trixie said we’ll both talk to Twilight once you wake up.” Hope takes a seat next to you, her hands resting upon her knees.
  79. >From the other room enters Twilight with Spike and Trixie at her side. With a heavy sigh she takes her place on the other couch. “Please pardon my reaction. It’s just that I thought you were... Well, you know.” Trixie and Spike took their seat next to Twilight.
  80. “It’s okay. I’ve been getting that a lot ever since I got here.”
  81. >Twilight was exchanging looks between you and Hope. “Trixie tells me your name is also Anon.”
  82. “That’s right.”
  83. >Twilight smiles empathetically, as if she were talking to an old friend again. “And who is your friend here?”
  84. “This is ...”
  85. >You pause briefly to let Hope introduce herself.
  86. >”Hope. Glad to meet you.”
  87. >”Such an interesting name. Do you mind if I ask what you are exactly?” Twilight gestures towards the entirety of Hope. “You’re both human and pony, from what I can see.”
  88. >Hope looks down to the ground, not sure how to respond.
  89. “Where I come from, they’re called satyrs. But we’re here for your help, Twilight.”
  90. >You didn’t want to interrupt her Q&A session, but you wanted to learn more about what happened to the old Anon and if there was any sightings of your sister here.
  91. >”I’m sorry, it’s just that there’s nothing else quite like the two of you. If this is the product of cross-breeding, there’s no telling what these new species could mean for us.”
  92. “Twilight.”
  93. >She stops with her musing and looks at you.
  94. “Long story short, Hope thinks I’m responsible for killing her father years ago. Cherry Jubilee from Oatasis told me what happened about a month ago. I need you to confirm whether or not this is true.”
  95. >Twilight nods. “Then I would like to hear your side of the story first, Anon.”
  96. >You glance to the others around the room, with a heavy sigh you begin.
  97. “It started like this...”
  98. >You began to retell your journey up to this point. The bright light, your travels through the desert and forest, the confrontation with Hope and the trip to Ponyville.
  99. “All this began just a few days ago.”
  100. >There was a brief pause between everyone. Twilight closes her eyes, as if to process the information. “The old Anon once told me how he got here. Same way as you did; a bright light.”
  101. >Twilight looks over to the satyr. “Would you like to tell us your side?”
  102. >Hope squeezes her hands tightly. “Alright, I’ll try my best to remember.” She takes a deep breath. “It all started elsewhere...”
  103. >”I was never born here in Equestria. From what my mother told me, shortly after my father was murdered she fled to another place. A new world.”
  104. >You listen carefully to everything Hope recounts.
  105. >”I don’t remember much of what happened when I was a filly, but we lived in a forest. Mother told me it was a safe place; our home while she trained me for the day when I meet the human that killed my father.”
  106. >Her description of the forest lead you all to believe that the entire world was a giant jungle ecosystem, an entirely different place than Equestria.
  107. >”It was just us. My mother would tell me stories about my father, who I never got to see. She told me that my birth was a sign. A symbol that there was a way to make things right. When the time came, we travelled through a gate here.”
  108. “A gate?”
  109. >”That’s what my mother calls it. It was like nothing I’ve ever seen before. This hole opened up out of thin air. We stepped through and found ourselves in a new place. Mother tells me Equestria is my homeworld.”
  110. >”When did you arrive back here?” Twilight briefly interrupts.
  111. >”Over a month ago.”
  112. >The pieces are starting to fall into place, but now it was Twilight’s turn to tell Hope what happened to her father.
  113. >”Hope, who is your mother?”
  114. >The small satyr fidgets with her fingers. “Lyra...”
  115. >A dead silence falls over the room.
  116. >Twilight stares at Hope in disbelief. You’ve seen that look in a person before. It’s the same look as when someone’s blood runs cold.
  117. >”But, Lyra’s been dead for over 4 years… I was sure she...” Twilight softly remarks.
  118. “I think we just found out where she’s been hiding, Twilight. Tell us what happened to Anon. Everything.”
  119. >Twilight bites her lower lip. “He was the first human I’ve ever seen. Zecora brought him to me after he was found near her hut in the EverFree Forest.”
  120. >She begins to unfold the events that led Anon to travel north in search of an object; an ancient sphere that could let him travel back to his world.”
  121. >For a long time they thought he was already back home, but when Twilight received that emergency letter, she knew something went wrong.
  122. >”Hope, what I’m about to say might upset you. But you have to trust that what I’m saying is the truth. Are you ready?”
  123. >Hope nods her head. “I need to know.”
  124. >”Anon was held captive for months in the woods. Lyra found him injured and took him in. Anon told me what happened, and how for a while everything was okay.”
  125. >”Lyra was keeping him fed and safe, but slowly she was becoming more unstable. She was obsessed with him. He described her as having an unhealthy obsession with humans and wanted to be like them.”
  126. >You quickly glance at Hope, but her expression hasn’t changed.
  127. >”Lyra made it clear that she wanted to take his hands for herself. And yet, in the middle of the night she...” Twilight was having trouble finishing her sentence.
  128. >Hope leans over to Twilight. “What happened?”
  129. >Twilight tells Hope that her mother forced herself upon Anon and had intercourse with him. Even though the old Anon did not want it, she was convinced he was in love and didn’t realize it.
  130. >Hope becomes even more catatonic in her expression. Twilight continues with the story.
  131. >”Anon said he found the orb in the basement, but was unable to get it. In a confrontation, he used self-defense to stop Lyra from killing him. We were sure she perished in the fire that consumed the house.”
  132. >”But Anon was still suffering from stress after that. For almost a year he lived within the confines of his house.”
  133. >She goes on to describe that Anon was starting to come out of his shell and learning how to live in Ponyville with the others. “I only wanted him to move on and try to live his life. Celestia and I were upset that we couldn’t send him back to his world.”
  134. >”As the old Anon grew more accustomed to his new world, he developed a relationship with Pinkie Pie. The two of them loved each other with all their hearts. Anon finally found his meaning in this world.”
  135. >”But, somepony wanted Anon all for herself.”
  136. >You had a good idea who she was referring to.
  137. >”Fluttershy extorted Anon in an attempt to drive him and Pinkie apart. But when he tried to stop it, Fluttershy killed Pinkie in cold blood.”
  138. >She stops talking; an awkward silence fills the room. You couldn’t blame them. This was a surreal event; one of the Elements of Harmony committing an act of murder.
  139. >Twilight began to tear up as Trixie pats her on the back for comfort. “Anon was so heartbroken and torn, he faked his own death and burned his house down. He left a note for me explaining what happened. For three years I thought he was dead. The only human in this world and he killed himself.”
  140. >”I stood there helplessly as we watched the house burn to the ground.” You could see that Twilight was on the verge of breaking down.
  141. “If you want to stop...”
  142. >Twilight quickly grabs a tissue being handed to her from Spike and dabs around her eyes. “I’m fine, just... give me a second.”
  143. >She resumes her story. “For three years we all thought he was gone. But one day, AppleJack received a letter in the mail from an old friend in Oatasis. We couldn’t believe it when she said it was Anon living out there.”
  144. >Twilight describes how Anon was being brainwashed by Chrysalis, the queen of the changelings, who they thought they defeated a long time ago. She was going to use Anon’s love to restart her hive and take over Equestria. She imparted him with strength and high aggression to protect herself, but they were able to knock some sense into him and get him to remember who he was and why he was out there in Oatasis.
  145. >”Anon was so grief-stricken with what happened, he took it upon himself to stop the hive and save Equestria.”
  146. >She goes onto explain how he rigged homemade explosives and planted them inside the rocky cave where the swarm was ready to hatch. While Twilight and the others distracted the small army, Anon set off the bombs, killing the queen and destroying the nest.
  147. >”But, because he was still inside when he set them off, his injuries were fatal.”
  148. >The tears in her lavender eyes came back. Hope was sitting at the edge of her seat. “He promised me it wouldn’t happen, but all I could do was be at his side while he died. He made the ultimate sacrifice to save us, I knew I never should’ve let him go through with his plan.”
  149. >Twilight places her hooves over her eyes as she begins to sob quietly.
  150. >This Anon fellow went through some shit of his own.
  151. >As Spike and Trixie try to comfort Twilight, Hope stands up from her seat. Her fists tightly balled up and her expression still blank.
  152. >She begins to walk to the door. You quickly get up and go after her.
  153. “Hope, I know it’s hard but y-“
  154. >You are immediately interrupted when she brings her leg up and kicks hard against your chest, sending you flying across the room.
  155. >You feel the wind get knocked right out of you as she glares. “Leave me alone...” She mutters and takes her leave, slamming the door behind her.
  156. >Coughing, you realize she must’ve held her kick because you didn’t feel anything broken in your chest. Twilight and the others look on in shock and quickly come to your aid.
  157. “It’s okay, she just needs some time to think.”
  158. >It can’t be easy to hear that everything your mother told you was a lie.
  159. >They ease you up to your feet as you catch your breath. You walk over to the couch and fall onto the cushion in a slump. Trixie walks off towards the kitchen and a moment later comes back with a glass of water floating in front of her.
  160. >Taking the cup, you gulp a mouthful of water. You’ve forgotten how thirsty you were from your journey to get here.
  161. “Thank you. So another reason why I’m here is that I want to get home, but from what you’ve said, there’s nothing you can do. I have to find this ‘orb’ that Lyra might have?”
  162. >”There’s no question about it, Anon. If she’s using that orb to pull humans into our world, there’s no telling what else it can do.”
  163. >You ponder at the prospect.
  164. >If you were to go see Lyra, then maybe you could get answers about your sister, retrieve the orb and go back home. Kill two birds with one stone as they say.
  165. “So the sooner I get the orb, the better it is for everyone. Gotcha.”
  166. >Twilight brings something important to the table. “Anon, you know that Pinkie, the Element of Laughter, is dead. Without her our most powerful form of defense is gone.”
  167. “I understand that, and I’m sorry it happened, but what does that have to do with Lyra and the orb?”
  168. >”It’s a matter of security and safety for everypony here in Equestria. If Lyra were to manipulate that orb in any other way, the results could be catastrophic.”
  169. “I’m planning on getting that orb back. What’s the big deal?”
  170. >”Do you think she’ll just give it back to you? How do you know Hope won’t turn on you? We can’t risk you approaching Lyra if we’re missing a constituent to our Elements of Harmony.”
  171. >Good point.
  172. >If something were to go down, then everything would be for nothing.
  173. “So what do you propose?”
  174. >Twilight nervously fidgets with her hooves. “I don’t know, but it doesn’t help that Fluttershy will no longer be the Element of Kindness.”
  175. “What do you mean?”
  176. >”What she did is abhorrent and unforgivable. Princess Celestia wants to give her a chance, but Fluttershy has not responded. The Princess will be forced to strip her of the element she bears.”
  177. “But you can find someone else to replace her, right?”
  178. >Twilight sighs heavily. It didn’t sound good. “We still haven’t found anyone yet to replace Pinkie. It’s been three years and we still haven’t found anypony worthy to uphold the Element of Laughter.”
  179. >You feel a hard lump in your throat.
  180. “Does it take a long time to find a replacement?”
  181. >”In this case, I’m afraid so. And with Fluttershy being stripped of her element, it will just add to the mess that we’re in.”
  182. >This is unacceptable.
  183. “I can’t wait forever till you guys find replacements. I’ve got a life back home I’m trying to live, and God knows how long it will be until Lyra tries to kill me or use the orb for whatever.”
  184. >”Anon, that’s why we need you to keep a low profile. You just need to let us and the Princess handle this.”
  185. >There was an awkward silence between all of you. The ticking of the clock in the room was the loudest sound.
  186. >You place your face in your hands, take in a deep breath and sigh. This was a fine mess you got pulled into.
  187. >”I just don’t know what compelled Fluttershy to do it.” Twilight’s voice begins to crack.
  188. >You look to Twilight. She was upset, but at something else.
  189. “What you said about Anon and Pinkie is true, yes?”
  190. >She sighs heavily. “There’s no doubt in my mind. Anon had no reason to kill Pinkie as Fluttershy claims. I still have the note he wrote me the day he faked his death. Do you want to read it?”
  191. “No thanks, but I can’t help but get the feeling there was more at stake than just Fluttershy killing Pinkie. Anon and Pinkie were lovers, yes?”
  192. >Twilight’s head sunk lower. “I couldn’t tell him...” Her voice began to quiver.
  193. “Tell him what?”
  194. >Tears begin to stream down her cheeks. “On that day when Fluttershy took Pinkie’s life, none of us, not even Anon knew that two lives were destroyed that day.”
  195. >You felt your stomach sink at the implication.
  196. >”Pinkie was pregnant...” She whispers.
  197. >The room falls dead silent.
  198. >Trixie pats Twilight on the back for comfort, but she continues. “I didn’t want to tell Anon... I was afraid to tell him...”
  199. >You could only speculate if Fluttershy knew this. But the idea was maddening to the point where it infuriated you to the core.
  200. >Twilight continues to sob as you stand to your feet. A rush of adrenaline surges through your body.
  201. >It was time to say hello to Fluttershy.
  202. >You walk towards the door to leave, but you felt something grabbing your arm. “Anon, please don’t.” Twilight begs.
  203. >Your left arm was covered in a faint pink glow.
  204. >You didn’t like being held back.
  205. >Your head arches back to her, and she instantly dispels her grasp from you.
  206. “Never.... touch me again.”
  207. >You open the door and slam it behind you.
  208. >The morning sun was above the rooftops of the houses and you can see other ponies out and about their daily lives.
  209. >They catch a glimpse of you and stop in their tracks.
  210. >You look to one of the nearby ponies. Her coat was a pale yellow colour. Her mane was like streaks of raspberries and on her flank was a picture of a rose.
  211. >Her pupils shrink as you approach her.
  212. “Where’s does Fluttershy live?”
  213. >Despite shaking in fear, she manages to lift a hoof and point you in the right direction.
  214. >As you march away, you could hear the numerous whispers of the ponies.
  215. >You kept following the path out of the town to where Fluttershy should be living.
  216. >This wasn’t like her.
  217. >Not how you remember her from the cartoon show.
  218. >All of this was her fault.
  219. >”Stop!” you hear a voice coming from behind.
  220. >You turn to see that it was Trixie who was catching up to you, but you didn’t stop walking.
  221. >She trots at your side. “Anon, Twilight says you need to reconsider.”
  222. “There’s nothing to consider. Fluttershy needs to wake up to the situation and face the consequences.”
  223. >She stops dead in her tracks as you continue onwards. “Trixie doesn’t want to do this but...”
  224. >With a grunt, her horn glows briefly before a spark leaps off and makes contact with your body. You feel a tingly sensation before it extinguishes.
  225. >You stop and turn to look at her.
  226. “Was that supposed to stop me?”
  227. >Trixie stammers as you slowly advance upon her. “Well uh... Trixie doesn’t want to see anypony hurt... and...”
  228. >You clench your fist tightly.
  229. >In a quick motion, you swipe her signature hat from her head.
  230. >“Hey! That’s a one-of-a-kind hat!”
  231. >Before she could do anything, you whip it like a Frisbee back the way she came. It takes a sharp turn and flies into a ravine filled with trees.
  232. “Fetch.”
  233. >She looks towards her hat and back to you before she grumbles in frustration and runs off to retrieve her hat.
  234. >Shouldn’t be much longer now until you reach Fluttershy’s cottage.
  235. >As sure as the sun rises, you see the signature house of Fluttershy. The place looks worn down, as if no one has taken care of the property in years.
  236. >The paint was beginning to fade; the grass and weeds have grown out of control.
  237. >There were scarcely any animals of any kind. The only sound you heard was the cawing of a nearby crow.
  238. >A part of you didn’t know what you wanted from Fluttershy, but another side of you wanted to see her suffer and understand what she’s done.
  239. >You stood before the front door. Here sleeps a monster that killed her friend out of jealousy.
  240. >Tapping your knuckle against the wooden door, you wait for a few moments.
  241. >No response.
  242. >You knock on the door again, harder this time.
  243. >Still no reply.
  244. >Filthy pony must be ignoring you on purpose. You slam your fist against the door.
  245. “Fluttershy! Open this door right now!”
  246. >The lack of any answer was getting on your nerves. You pound the door again.
  247. “I swear to God, if you don’t open this door right now I’ll kic-“
  248. >The door swings open.
  249. >Standing in front of you was the shy little yellow pony that supposedly wouldn’t harm a fly.
  250. >Her mouth was open slightly, her expression somewhat shocked if not stoic. Her pupils shrunk, ears flattened against her head.
  251. >You could see the tears welling up in her eyes. Fluttershy’s cheeks become flushed.
  252. >Even you were at a loss for words.
  253. >Here she stood before you, but even now you couldn’t pull yourself together.
  254. >Taking in a deep breath, you clench your fist. You want to speak but no words come out.
  255. >Come on brain, function for once!
  256. >Fluttershy begins to back away from you. “It can’t be...” She whispers to herself.
  257. >You walk through the front door.
  258. “Fluttershy, listen to me.”
  259. >You could hear her voice whimpering. “This can’t be happening.” Tears begin to flow down her cheeks. As she continues to cower, she bumps into a small nightstand which falls to the ground.
  260. >A small picture frame falls off and slides across the floor towards your feet. You pick it up and notice that it’s a picture of Anon with... Fluttershy.
  261. >Upon closer inspection, you can see the image of Fluttershy in the photo sticking off the picture.
  262. >You quickly pull the photo out of the frame and peel off the image of Fluttershy to reveal a picture of Pinkie Pie scratched out with black and red marker.
  263. >Without even thinking, you cram the photo into your pocket.
  264. >Glancing back to Fluttershy, you notice all the pictures on the wall were the exact same.
  265. >Anon and Fluttershy, happily together.
  266. >But something else caught your attention. All along the wall, words were scribbled out. ( http://youtu.be/f8fUFmjqXZo )
  267. >Phrases like ‘I’m sorry’ and ‘Please come back’ were scrawled in thick black marker all over the walls.
  268. >Fluttershy sat in the far corner of the room sobbing and constantly repeating a single phrase to herself. “He’s not real.... He’s not real...” She begins to slowly rock back and forth.
  269. >You approach her cautiously. It didn’t occur to you that she would be living in shambles like this.
  270. “Fluttershy...”
  271. >She stares at you, her whole body shaking in terror. A mix of tears and snot dribble down her soft face as she becomes paralyzed with fear.
  272. >You reach out to her, trying to establish contact to let her know this is real.
  273. “It’s OK, I just want to talk to you.”
  274. >Her breath becomes short and fast, her tiny chest moving up and down. Her eyes shift across the entire room as if she’s looking for a way to escape.
  275. >Just as your hand is about to touch her. she screams incoherently. You flinch in surprise.
  276. >Her whole body convulses as she stares up at the ceiling screaming. “I’M SORRY!” Her eyes were literally starting to roll into the back of her head.
  277. >Even her wings begin to flap irregularly as if her gross motor functions were shot.
  278. “Fluttershy, knock it off!”
  279. >She continues to bust out an ear-splitting shriek.
  280. >Instantly you seize her and embrace her in a hug as you held her limbs still.
  281. “It’s OK. Relax Fluttershy. Just calm down.”
  282. >Her little body continues to struggle as she begins to whisper harshly. “No... no no no... “
  283. >This was like the many times when your sister would have panic attacks.
  284. >Because of what your dad use to do to her, anytime she felt she was going to be hurt by someone she would react the same as Fluttershy is right now.
  285. >You remember being called by the school. Annette was having a panic attack. No one knew what to do; whether they should let it ride out or do something.
  286. >You ran as fast as you could down the snowy path to her school.
  287. >Bursting through the doors, you ran to where her home class was. There she was screaming, crying and short of breath. A inconsolable little girl who lost a grip on reality.
  288. >You immediately grab a hold of her, stop all her limbs from flailing and begin to gently rock back and forth.
  289. >You would temper your own breathing so she could match hers to yours. Speaking gently to her to help calm her down, she begins to ease up.
  290. “It’s OK, I’m here for you.”
  291. >You begin to stroke her head.
  292. “No one is going to hurt you. I promise.”
  293. >Slowly, your sister would go limp in your arms. These panic sessions would tire out her tiny body. The school staff looked on as you held her in your arms.
  294. >Fluttershy begins to do the same. Her form becomes less rigid, but she continues to sniffle.
  295. >She looks up to you one last time before her eyes close.
  296. >Out like a light.
  297. >You could feel your own heart racing. This wasn’t the kind of reaction you were expecting.
  298. >You really wanted to tell Fluttershy off, but instead you’re cradling her in your arms. You set her down on a nearby couch and open up the window blinds to let the sun in.
  299. >This place was a mess.
  300. >It was usually so tidy and clean back when you watched the show, but aside from the mess on the walls, everything else was dusty and unkempt.
  301. >Now that you think of it, there wasn’t a single animal inside the house either.
  302. >Pulling a blanket over Fluttershy, you set about to open up some windows.
  303. >The air inside the house was stuffy and had a distinct scent to it. The light filters through the windows. You could see the particles of dust and airborne debris dance within the sunbeam.
  304. >Having the front door open alone made a difference; a cool breeze blew through and freshened up the air.
  305. >You hear someone approaching.
  306. >Walking to the front door, you see Trixie with her hat back her head and a rather angry look on her face. “Are you quite done acting like a brute?” She pushes her way past you.
  307. >She walks up to see Fluttershy still passed out on the couch. “What happened to her?”
  308. “She had a moment and she passed out.”
  309. >Trixie sighs in frustration. “Twilight Sparkle didn’t want you to disturb her.”
  310. “Why not? I’d figured it’s about time someone gave her a reality check. The sooner she straightens up, the sooner I can get that orb back from Lyra.”
  311. >Trixie grew more annoyed at you. “Is this how you humans settle all your problems? It’s best if you let the Princess handle these matters. Twilight told me that some royal guards are coming to pick up Fluttershy and the others.”
  312. >You cross your arms over your chest. Hard to believe you were being lectured by some tiny pony.
  313. “Good, that will give me a chance to talk some sense into everyone.”
  314. >Trixie couldn’t help but smirk. “You humans really are an interesting species... and you’re stubborn to boot.”
  315. >You hear Fluttershy groaning and stirring out of her sleep.
  316. “Go get a glass of water, will you?”
  317. >Trixie gasps. “Trixie is not some sort of common-“ You cut her short.
  318. “Will you just go get some water?”
  319. >Her shock turns into contempt as she huffs. “Fine, be that way.”
  320. >You sit down next to Fluttershy, gently stroking her mane away from her face. She looks like she hasn’t been taking care of herself very well.
  321. >She looks a bit emaciated.
  322. >Her eyelids quiver, then slowly open. Her blue eyes seem to lack the bright colours they should.
  323. >”Anon...?” She whispers. “I thought you were dead.”
  324. “Can’t say I’m that Anon. Sorry about that.”
  325. >Trixie walks in with a glass of water. You take it immediately from her and hold it to Fluttershy’s lips. She takes the cup from you and sips on the liquid.
  326. >Trixie huffs impatiently again and mutters something about being ungrateful.
  327. “Thank you, Trixie.”
  328.  >”Do you want the Great and Powerful Trixie to get you some snacks while she’s at it?”
  329. >You turn around and look at her with disdain. You knew she could be somewhat snarky, but not like this.
  330. “Are you not done acting like a child?”
  331. >Trixie growls as her cheeks turn red. “Trixie will be waiting outside...”
  332. >Fluttershy hands you back the half-empty glass. You set it on a nearby table.
  333. >“Is this a dream?”
  334. “I wish it was. But you got yourself in a heap of a mess. I heard about what you’ve done, Fluttershy.”
  335. >Instantly her ears go flat against her head. She averts her gaze from you.
  336. “How could you do it? Why would you...”
  337. >You had to pause. You could feel your emotions stirring deeply within.
  338. “You have no idea how much trouble you’re in. But I think it’s high time we straighten up your act and start to make amends.”
  339. >She begins to quiver again.
  340. >Despite her being infatuated with the previous Anon, Fluttershy seemed to be the opposite with you.
  341. >Was she scared of you?
  342. “Hey, look at me when I’m talking.”
  343. >You gently turn her head towards you, but she squeezes her eyes shut. You could see beads of tears being pushed out. She begins to sniffle.
  344. >You hear someone approaching the door again. You look up to see that it was Twilight standing there. “Anon, get out here now!”
  345. >Fluttershy finally opens her eyes and looks to the door. She instantly crawls into a fetal position and turns away from Twilight.
  346. >You groan in frustration and get up to your feet. As you walk away you issue one last statement:
  347. “Clean yourself up, Fluttershy. We’re going on a trip soon.”
  348. >You step outside and close the door behind you. You are greeted by not only Twilight, but all the others.
  349. >Rainbow Dash, Rarity and AppleJack were all there. Twilight stood by you. “Well girls, looks like we have another problem on our hooves.”
  350. >AJ walks up close to you. “That can’t be Anon, can it?”
  351. >Rainbow circles around you through the air.
  352. >Rarity was at a loss for words.
  353. >Twilight interjects. “No, he’s another human. But it’s not his presence that’s the problem. This means that Lyra is back.”
  354. >”Are you sure, sugarcube?” AJ asks.
  355. >Twilight nods. “From what happened to the old Anon and what this Anon told me, it’s clear that Lyra still possesses the Orb. This emergency needs to be brought to Princess Celestia’s attention.”
  356. >Rainbow Dash hovers next to Twilight. “But what about the court order for Fluttershy?”
  357. >”That’s still going through. But we should keep Anon at Canterlot for the time being. I don’t want to take any chances leaving him here by himself.”
  358. “What do you mean court order?”
  359. >Twilight gives an uneasy look to everyone. “Anon, don’t worry about it. But you should come with us to Canterlot, it’ll be safer there.”
  360. >You remember Hope.
  361. “Can’t leave without Hope, she needs to come as well.”
  362. >”She stormed off, where do you think she is?”
  363. “I can always go looking for-“
  364. >You’re cut short by a loud scream in the house. It was Fluttershy.
  365. >You could hear a disturbance within the cottage. You rush to the door and push it open. On the couch you saw Hope poised with a sharpened stick as she stood over Fluttershy with one hoof on her chest.
  366. “STOP!”
  367. >Your scream distracts her long enough to drop her stance, but as soon as you rush in she lifts the makeshift weapon above her head with the intention to bring it down on Fluttershy.
  368. >With no time to lose, you tackle Hope off of Fluttershy.
  369. >The tip of the branch grazes your shoulder. Hope brings her feet in close and pushes you off.
  370. >She gets to her feet quickly and rushes towards Fluttershy.
  371. >You grab Hope by the tail and swing with all your strength. Lifting her off the ground, you throw her against the wall. She drops her weapon.
  372. >You force her to the ground, holding her hands down with your own and kneeling across her legs so she couldn’t fight back.
  373. >Hope continues to resist but you keep all your weight on her.
  374. “Hope! What the hell are you doing?”
  375. >Tears stream down her red cheeks. “It’s all her fault! It’s her fault my dad is dead! Let me go!”
  376. >She thrashes even harder and begins to slam the back of her head into the ground.
  377. “Stop! You’re not a killer! This isn’t you.”
  378. >”You don’t know... ANYTHING ABOUT ME!” She was teetering between pure rage and bitter sadness.
  379. >You look back to the others who were standing there in shock.
  380. “Get Fluttershy out of here!”
  381. >They quickly escort the yellow pegasus out of the cottage.
  382. >”Why are you protecting that murderer? Let me finish her off!”
  383. >Carefully you manage to embrace Hope in a hug, making sure she couldn’t kick or punch you. She lost some of her strength by resisting and thrashing too much earlier.
  384. >Gently you rock back and forth just like you use to do with your little sister.
  385. >”Let me go.” She growls. You speak softly in her ear.
  386. “It’s OK....”
  387. >She was still resisting, but eventually she’ll stop.
  388. >All her rage and anger finally broke down into a soft sob. “She killed him, Anon. If it wasn’t for her, he’d still be alive.”
  389. “Hope, there’s no one to blame. Do you want to know what killed your father?”
  390. >She sniffles in your grasp and you begin to ease up.
  391. “Selflessness. That’s what killed him. When he went in that hive, he knew what was at stake. He told Twilight and the others to run because he didn’t want them to die. He didn’t think of himself for one moment. Your father is a hero, and Fluttershy had nothing to do with his death.”
  392. >Hope continues to sniffle. You felt it was safe to let go.
  393. “I’m going to let you go now, okay?”
  394. >She simply nods as you loosen your grip. She instantly turns around and buries her face in your shirt and cries again.
  395. >With a soft sigh, you rub her back and look over your shoulder to the door. The others were still waiting outside, talking amongst themselves.
  396. >”It’s not fair...” Her voice cracks.
  397. >You continue to gently rub her back. Better she lets it all out now.
  398. >Several moments pass, and so does her crying. You spoke softly in her ear.
  399. “I’m sorry if I hurt you. But please, don’t do anything like that again.”
  400. >She rubs her eyes and sniffs. You get to your feet and head towards the door with Hope at your side.
  401. >The others all turn their eyes to Hope.
  402.  >You look down at Fluttershy who was sitting with her back turned from the others.
  403. “Fluttershy, get inside and clean yourself up. If I’m not mistaken, you’re heading to Canterlot soon.”
  404. >The yellow pony doesn’t say another word. With her head hanging low, she slowly walks back into her cottage and closes the door behind her.
  405. >AJ, Rarity and Rainbow Dash stare at Hope. They haven’t seen anything like her before.
  406. “Twilight, do you want to take the floor?”
  407. >Twilight turns to the others and begins to explain what happened so far.
  408. >Needless to say, the three of them had a hard time believing it.
  409. >”But what’s at stake here is that Lyra still has that Orb, and there’s no telling what she’s planning on using it for.” Twilight finishes explaining to them.
  410. “And what the hell have you guys been doing about Fluttershy for the past three years?”
  411. >AJ steps forward. “Listen sugarcube, this is pony business and you don’t go around sticking yer nose in business where it don’t belong.”
  412. >Rarity nods. “What Fluttershy did is simply... horrific.”
  413. >”She’s refused to take responsibility for what she did. Fluttershy is only doing this to herself.” Rainbow points out.
  414. “Because it looks like you guys have ostracized and isolated her. Have you even seen what it looks like inside her house?”
  415. >There was silence amongst them. You rub your forehead.
  416. “Look, I know killing is very serious. But you guys can’t just take her element away from her. I can’t wait forever until you guys find a replacement for her.”
  417. >”What would you have us do, Anon?” Twilight asks.
  418. >You groan in frustration. This was going nowhere.
  419. >In the distance you hear a faint sound, like a horn sounding off a fanfare. Looking up to the sky, you see several chariots approaching.
  420. >They must be here for Fluttershy and the others.
  421. >They circle around once just before landing. One of the chariots looks like something more akin to a paddy wagon.
  422. >Twilight looks back to you. “I took the liberty of sending a letter to Princess Celestia about you being here. She strongly urges that you come right away.”
  423. “I plan to.”
  424. >Two armored white pegasus approach the cottage and knock on the door. Fluttershy opens the door and makes her way to the paddy wagon without resisting or saying a word.
  425. >She looks up to you, but averts her eyes.
  426. >You watch as she is locked up and is the first to be taken away.
  427. “Hope, we’re going to head to Canterlot for a short while. You ready?”
  428. >The satyr simply nods. You watch as Twilight and Trixie take a chariot followed by Rarity and AJ who take their own.
  429. >Rainbow Dash takes off to the air staying close with the others. The last chariot was waiting for you and Hope.
  430. >You stood on the small platform and held tight.
  431. “Ever flown before?”
  432. >”No...” She meekly replies.
  433. “Neither have I.”
  434. > With a quick jerk, the two armored pegasus take off to the sky. Hope latches onto the railing with both arms and closes her eyes.
  435. >The ground below was quickly descending as you found yourselves caught up to the others.
  436. >You’ve never flown in a plane before or anything. Closest you’ve thing you’ve ever experienced was jumping off swing sets in your youth.
  437. >This was exhilarating. It was... it was....
  438. >Your eyes slowly trail off and you see just how high up you were.
  439. >You instantly kneel down and tighten your grip on the holding bar. By now Hope was more comfortable with the odd sensation of moving through air and was standing up.
  440. >Hope’s expression was one of ecstasy; to be flying through the air, free as the wind. She slowly releases her hands and holds them out to her side like a bird.
  441. >Her clothes flap and flutter in the wind as her tail swishes about. In that moment, you almost forget about your fear of heights.
  442. >You felt your grip loosening and you manage to stand upright.
  443. >In the distance you could see the distinct castle on the side of the mountain.
  444. >”Is that Canterlot?” She asks enthusiastically.
  445. “Yeah, it’s bigger than I thought.”
  446. >You forgot that Canterlot was a huge thriving kingdom rather than just a quaint castle.
  447. >It wasn’t long before you and everyone landed just outside of the castle grounds. The wagon holding Fluttershy was taken elsewhere for the time being.
  448. >As you and Hope step off the chariot, you could hear the chatter of the ponies that walked the Canterlot streets grow louder.
  449. >Twilight and the others quickly escort you through a pair of large doors that were immediately shut behind you.
  450. >Laid out before you was a huge hedge maze garden. However, there was a large straight path stretched out before you leading up to the castle.
  451. >The whole party was being escorted by two royal guards down the cobblestone path. Above the hedges you could see stone statues of ponies standing tall and proud.
  452. >Some of these must’ve been historical figures in Equestria from years of old.
  453. >As you got closer to the castle, you notice Hope stop dead in her tracks. You stop and see she was staring at a distinct statue just over a hedge.
  454. >She takes off and easily jumps the hedge.
  455. “Hope!”
  456. >You run after her.
  457. >Twilight turns around. “Anon, where are you going?”
  458. >You quickly stop.
  459. “Hope just took off. I’ll be right back.”
  460. >You run around the corner and navigate a few corners to where the statue stood.
  461. >In a large clearing stood a stone figure of a human. Standing before the looming figure was Hope.
  462. >It wasn’t just a statue, it was a gravestone.
  463. >There you saw Hope in front of the grave looking up at the monument. You didn’t say a word, but you quietly approached her.
  464. >Crouching down, she traces her hand along the gold plaque.
  465. >‘On this day, a human sacrificed himself to save all of Equestria from impending danger. Although he was the only one of his kind, he was surrounded by those he loved and that loved him in this world. His deeds will not go unnoticed. Anon: Friend, Savior and Hero.’
  466. >Not everyday a human gets to save another race.
  467. >Hope holds her hand up against the pale marble grave, her head hanging low.
  468. >You place your hands in your pocket and feel something. It was the photo you got from Fluttershy’s house.
  469. >Pulling out the slightly crinkled picture, you look at the image of Anon and a scribbled out Pinkie Pie together.
  470. >Carefully, you fold a crease between Anon and Pinkie and gently tear until you were left with two pieces. You could see why some of the ponies noticed a semblance between the two of you.
  471. >You walk up next to Hope and hold out the photo to her.
  472. “You should be proud. Your father did something not many would consider doing.”
  473. >She looks up and gently takes the photo from your hand. Hope stares at the picture with her brilliant amber eyes as though she has seen a ghost. You could hear her sniffle.
  474. >You remember how you felt weeks after police gave up looking for your sister.
  475. >You stood there in the bathroom staring at yourself, and taped to the corner of the bathroom mirror was a photo of you and her.
  476. >Should you keep searching or give up and live your life?
  477. >The photos serve as a painful reminder of your failure. You couldn’t even protect her.
  478. >Hope stands up and keeps staring at the photo of her deceased father. You place your hand on her shoulder.
  479. “Are you alright?”
  480. >Her body shudders from the intense emotions. “No...” She sighs.
  481. >Hope holds the picture up one last time. “But I will be.” She whispers.
  482. >Walking back up to the grave, she gently kisses the photo and places it at the foot. She leans her head against the golden plaque for a brief moment.
  483. >You don’t say another word, and sure enough Hope is back on her feet and walking by your side.
  484. >The two of you quickly catch up with the others who were waiting at the doors leading to the castle grounds.
  485. “So what now?”
  486. >Twilight looks up to you. “We need to go see Princess Celestia for Fluttershy’s trial.”
  487. “Hardly a trial when you’re just going to strip her of her element.”
  488. >”Anon, I don’t understand what you’re getting at. Fluttershy needs to be responsible for what she did. Are you suggesting we just let her off the hook?”
  489. “I didn’t say that. Just let me talk to the Princess.”
  490. >You and the group were led through a series of corridors and stairs until you made it to the royal hall. Guards lined the hallway leading up to the throne where Celestia took her place.
  491. >Both you and Hope looked at the beautiful stained glass windows that decorated the walls. There you could see the depiction of Twilight and the others defeating Nightmare Moon.
  492. >Finally your eyes fall on a window showing Anon standing against Queen Chrysalis.
  493. >On the side being held in chains was Fluttershy detained by two guards.
  494. >The Princess stands up and greets you all warmly. “Twilight, I’m so glad to see you again.”
  495. >The ponies bow before her, and out of courtesy for their customs, you and Hope do the same. “So this is the human you spoke about?” She approaches you.
  496. >”Yes your Highness. This one apparently came to our world the same way as the last one did.”
  497. >Celestia takes a good gander at Hope carefully. “Oh my...” She mutters. “What’s your name, my child?”
  498. >”I’m Hope... uh, your Highness.” She awkwardly bows again for the alicorn.
  499. >Celestia looks between you and Hope. “Are you two... related somehow?”
  500. “She’s the daughter of the late Anon, the one who stopped Chrysalis.”
  501. >”Then who is the mother I might ask?” Celestia inquires.
  502. >Hope stands back up, her hands clenched. “Lyra Heartstring.”
  503. >There was an immediate hush in the royal hall. Princess Celestia closes her eyes. “I see... Then that means...” She turns to Twilight who nods to affirm their suspicions.
  504. >Celestia turns her attention to you. “Anon, I hope you’ll forgive me for being caught in the middle of all this.”
  505. “It ain’t your fault, so there’s no need for an apology.”
  506. >”Either way, seeing as how Lyra still has the Orb in her possession I would recommend that you stay here for the time being.”
  507. “I’m afraid I’ll have to decline you on that offer.”
  508. >Celestia was shocked at first, but being the kind soul that she is, she takes it in stride. “I understand. But seeing as how you are also not from around here, I would like to take a look inside your memories.” Her horn begins to glow.
  509. >You take a few steps back.
  510. “Woah, listen here. I don’t care if you’re a princess, you’re not sifting through my memories at all.”
  511. >Twilight and the others look at you in astonishment that you would talk to royalty like that.
  512. >You didn’t care.
  513. >She had no business prying through your mind. You hear a voice speak out.
  514. >You look to the shadows and see Princess Luna stepping out. “You’ll do best to hold your tongue in the presence of my sister.”
  515. >Great, another pain in the ass.
  516. “I guess the concept of privacy is foreign to you as well?”
  517. >Luna scowls. “You will not speak to either of us in that tone, you... you...”
  518. >”Luna!” Celestia shouts to her sister.
  519. >The Princess of the Night steps down, but you could tell she was still upset at you.
  520. >“Forgive my sister, Anon. I respect your wishes if you don’t want me to look at you. But you have to understand that I need to make sure that you’re not here with any ill intentions.”
  521. “Understandable, but I didn’t come here by choice. If what Hope here and everyone else is telling me is true, then Lyra has the Orb and that’s my only shot to get back home.”
  522. >The white alicorn nods. “Then you must know what has happened to the last human that was here.” She glances over to the stained glass window featuring Anon.
  523. “But I have reason to believe my sister somehow ended up here.”
  524. >Whispers fill the hall. “How do you know?” Celestia asks.
  525. “Hope here is wearing a necklace that belonged to my sister. She said her mother gave it to her. Then that means Lyra has been abducting humans.”
  526. >You look over to Trixie.
  527. “Trixie here says she’s seen them before.”
  528. >Trixie chuckles nervously. “Well, only one during my travels. But it looked nothing like the last Anon. If anything, he looked old.”
  529. “I know as far as most of you are concerned the last Anon was the only one here, but there must have been others before him.”
  530. >Celestia closes her eyes briefly and takes a deep breath. “Anon, I understand your concerns. That is why in order to ensure your survival, I urge you to stay here.”
  531. “I’d rather go get the Orb myself. I’m not the one to wait around for these things. Speaking of which...”
  532. >You look back to see Fluttershy who was still bound in chains.
  533. “Is that really necessary?”
  534. >”Anon, I hope you understand when I say that this is a very serious matter. What Fluttershy has done needs to be dealt with.” She nods to the guards who bring her forth.
  535. >Trembling before Celestia, Fluttershy couldn’t even bear to look at her. “Fluttershy, three years ago you committed the act of murder against a friend and a holder of an Element.”
  536. >The tip of Celestia’s horn begins to glow a bright white. “That is why, I hereby strip you of your element and banish you to-“
  537. >This wasn’t good. You had to step in.
  538. “Hold up a minute!”
  539. >There is a silence once more. Celestia’s horn begins to fade as she stares at you.
  540. >You had the floor; better make good use of it.
  541. “Am I the only one that feels this is wrong?”
  542. >Luna steps forward again. “First you speak disrespectfully against my sister and now you have the nerve to argue her judgement?”
  543. “Yeah. I do. Got a problem with that?”
  544. >Lune’s eyes begin to glow, but before she could get a word in, Celestia holds up a hoof. “Luna, let him speak.” Luna’s eyes go back to normal.
  545. “I know what she did is serious but what you’re doing is counterproductive. You’re already exposed to dangers without the elements of harmony. You still haven’t found anyone to take Pinkie’s place and now you’re going to banish Fluttershy?”
  546. >”What are you trying to say?”
  547. >Your mind scrambles for a way to articulate it.
  548. “What I’m saying is...”
  549. >And as weird as it was going to sound, you had to speak your mind. There was no other way around it.
  550. “I want to rehabilitate Fluttershy.”
  551. >Twilight and the others shout ‘what’ in unison. Even Princess Celestia looked moved by your offer. “You want to help Fluttershy?”
  552. >You nod and take up a firm stance.
  553. “I do. If it means helping to restore the elements, then I’ll take responsibility of Fluttershy.”
  554. >”Anon, I couldn’t ask you to do that. Fluttershy has to learn that-“
  555. >You cut her off.
  556. “That what? There’s no such thing as forgiveness? No one deserves a second chance?”
  557. >Everyone in the royal hall stares at you in bewilderment.
  558. “I understand what she has done. Have you never heard of a crime of passion? I don’t believe that Fluttershy carefully planned to murder Pinkie.”
  559. >Of course you had no way to back it up, but it was your best bet to save Fluttershy.
  560. “Just give me this one chance, Celestia. That’s all I ask.”
  561. >The Princess sits upon her throne, her eyes closed as she contemplates the decision before her.
  562. >Twilight quickly sneaks up to your side and tugs on your sleeve to get your attention. You kneel down to hear what she has to say.
  563. >”Are you crazy? Just let Celestia pass her original judgement.”
  564. >You whisper harshly back at her.
  565. ”Why are you so quick to see your friend get banished?”
  566. >Twilight was about to speak until the Princess interrupts. “Very well Anon. I will allow you to help Fluttershy regain her element.”
  567. >A wave of relief washes over you.
  568. “Thank you. You have no idea how-“
  569. >”Of course, you are now responsible for her. So I trust you will make sure she doesn’t do anything regrettable while under your care. Do I make myself clear?”
  570. “Believe me, she’ll wish she was banished if she tries anything.”
  571. >Celestia nods to acknowledge the agreement between the two of you. “And Twilight, I would like you to help Anon. You and all your friends.”
  572. >The lavender pony and the others share a worried look amongst themselves. “I... What if...”
  573. >Celestia looks worried. “Twilight, this person is willing to put everything at risk for somepony he hardly knows. Are you unable to do the same for a friend? Have a little faith.”
  574. >Twilight still looks unsure, but she puts on a more positive expression. “I will. If it means keeping Equestria safe and maintaining our friendship, then we’ll do it.”
  575. >AJ, Rarity and Rainbow did not look convinced at first but their faces became softer upon hearing Twilight accepting the challenge.
  576. >You look back to Fluttershy. She looks as though she was about to cry.
  577. >Princess Celestia gives you a final farewell. “Please, stay the night and enjoy what Canterlot has to offer. Everything will be accommodated for you and your friends, Twilight. I will keep Fluttershy here for the night.”
  578. >The lavender unicorn bows. “Thank you very much.”
  579. >As you and the others walked out of the royal hall, you could hear Luna talking to Celestia. “Are you sure this human can do it?”
  580. >Celestia smiles. “The last human saved our kingdom. I have faith that this one will redeem Fluttershy. As for Hope...  we’ll see in good time.”
  581. >The giant doors slowly swing open and you’re finally free from that stuffy castle. Hope was rather quiet, her attention more attuned to the castle grounds around her.
  582. >She’s never seen walls this high in her life.
  583. “How you feeling, Hope?”
  584. >She takes a few steps ahead and looks over her shoulder back at you. “I want to feel free again.”
  585. >You had a good idea what she meant. You lean over to Twilight and nudge her.
  586. “Hey, wanna see what this kid can do?”
  587. >Twilight raises a brow. “Do what?”
  588. >You look around and spot a guard nearby. You approach him to ask a question.
  589. “Hey, can my friend here stretch her legs and take a jog around the castle grounds?”
  590. >His eyes drift from you to Hope. “That thing?”
  591. “That ‘thing’ is Hope. And you didn’t answer my question.”
  592. >The guard snorts and grumbles. “Go right on ahead...”
  593. “You’re good to go, kid.”
  594. >You give the thumbs up to the satyr. She rolls her head side to side and swings her arms about.
  595. >Digging her hooves into the ground, she takes off with unmatched speed. The sound of her hooves hitting the ground was like a mini stampede.
  596. >The others watched on in amazement at her acceleration, but you knew this was nothing.
  597. >The many flower pots lining the castle ground had thin saucers underneath. You quickly grab one.
  598. “Hope! Catch!”
  599. >You whip the saucer like a Frisbee to the other side of the court just as she was running around the bend to approach you.
  600. >Hope hears you and promptly spots the disc flying through the air. Turning on a dime, she bolts after it.
  601. >The trajectory of the dish is at its peak, definitely higher than she could jump. But you had a feeling she could pull it off.
  602. >Instead of jumping at the disc, she runs past it towards the castle wall.
  603. >Hope runs up the wall a short ways before kicking off and gaining new height, intercepting the saucer in mid flight.
  604. >She whips it back towards you and you manage to grab a hold of it.
  605. >Hope lands on her hooves gracefully, but she wasn’t finished yet. She takes off towards the wall of the castle.
  606. >She takes a running leap towards the wall, manages to run the length of the wall before she grabs a corbel and uses it to hoist herself upwards.
  607. >One after another she jumps up and ascends the tallest tower.
  608. >Higher and higher she climbs until she reaches the top of the turret.
  609. >Now she stood on one of the highest points in Canterlot, staring at all that lies before her; her tiny chest heaving up and down from the running and climbing.
  610. >Twilight and the others stood in awe and wonder.
  611. >For that brief moment, Hope was at the top of the world; her new world.
  612. >After that was said and done, you, Hope and the others travel down the streets of Canterlot taking in the sights. AJ, Rarity and Rainbow Dash were flooding the satyr with questions.
  613. >Hope was handling herself well in this situation and didn’t mind talking to them.
  614. >Other ponies would stare at you and Hope as your group made its way through the large bustling city.
  615. >Then a thought hit you.
  616. >It’s been days since you’ve had a shower. Your hair was a mess and you could use a shave.
  617. >You glance over to Hope who was more dusty than a female politician’s crotch.
  618. “Twilight, is there a spa around here?”
  619. >The lavender pony scans the streets and points down the road. “There’s one down here if I recall, but maybe you’d like to try-“
  620. >Without letting her finish, you walk past her and grab Hope by the arm.
  621. >”Something wrong, Anon?” Hope asks without resisting your pull. You promptly let go.
  622. “We’re going to clean ourselves up. You look like you’ve been mucking around in mud puddles.”
  623. >Hope scoffs. “You smell like a diamond dogs butt.”
  624. “And you have firsthand experience knowing what their butts smell like?”
  625. >You chuckle and she quickly jabs you in the shoulder playfully.
  626. >Twilight and the others follow behind.
  627. >You come up to a large building with advertisements for spa and beauty treatments. Pushing through the threshold, a chime goes off signalling your arrival.
  628. >Two mares quickly enter the room, their eyes lit up and their smiles beaming. “Welcome to our spa. Are you that Anon human who saved Equestria?”
  629. “Yeah, we’ll go with that. I want a hot bath and shave please. Just leave me the stuff, I’ll take care of it myself. And set one up for Hope here.”
  630. >Twilight follows close behind. “We’ll just go looking around for a bit, we’ll see you in half an hour?”
  631. >”Sounds good.”
  632. >The two ponies huddle up behind you and push you behind velvet drapes and down a hallway.
  633. >They begin to tug at your clothes playfully, but you swat them away.
  634. “Hey, none of that now. I can take off my own clothes.”
  635. >The two giggle like school girls. “Oh, but you must let us. We’ve heard so much about you, Mr. Anon.”
  636. >One of them goes to open a door. A large room with a sizeable hot tub sits in the middle.
  637. “Just draw my bath and let me be.”
  638. >Despite your cranky nature, the two mares have been taught well to smile in order to keep the customer happy. Although you had your suspicions that they wanted to make you REALLY happy.
  639. >The hot steamy water pours into the tub and is infused with many scents. A little bit too fragrant, but it mattered little.
  640. >They bring in a shaving set for you to use later and they leave you to undress.
  641. >The door slams shut.
  642. >Finally, peace and quiet.
  643. >The faucet drips with an audible echo. You begin to remove your shirt, it literally peels off your body like a sticky band aid.
  644. >You hear giggling from behind. It was those two damn mares again peeking out from an open door.
  645. “Will you two get lost?!”
  646. >You turn to the door to close it, but you lose your footing and fall over. The spa ponies burst out laughing and run away squealing in delight.
  647. >What the hell is wrong with those two?
  648. >You close the door and return to taking your clothes off. Thankfully there were no more interruptions this time around.
  649. >Going toe-first, you slide into the soapy hot water and felt cleaner almost instantly.
  650. >A shower would’ve been fine, but whoever heard of that in a spa?
  651. >You hear the doorknob rattle. Your head shoots straight up.
  652. >The door slowly opens and you see a figure stepping in.
  653. “I told you two to-”
  654. >You cut yourself short as the figure reveals itself to be Hope.
  655. >A towel is wrapped snug around her small frame as she enters, her eyes constantly scanning the room.
  656. “Wrong room, I was here first.”
  657. >Hope approaches the hot tub slowly. “They told me all the other tubs were being used up. They figure since we’re together we could bathe at the same time.”
  658. >This was insane.
  659. >You felt like sending her off, but seeing as how she was half naked you couldn’t dismiss her that easily. Turning around, you look to the opposite side of the room.
  660. “Fine, hop in...”
  661. >The distinct clopping of her hooves as they hit the ceramic tiles when she approaches the bath fills the air. You don’t move or say a word. Not until you were sure she entered the tub.
  662. >As long as you both stay to your own side, it’ll be just peachy.
  663. >You hear the gentle lapping of the water as Hope takes her place in the tub. She didn’t seem all too opposed to joining you. She could’ve waited for another hot tub to be available.
  664. >You turn to face her.
  665. “Some company is good I sup-“
  666. >Hope was in the tub, but she was still standing up. Her lower half was submerge and covered by the bubbly soap, but her bare chest was exposed. She undoes her ponytail, releasing her minty coloured hair.
  667. >You got an eyeful of her small perky breasts before swiftly turning around, shielding your eyes from her with one hand.
  668. “Would it kill you to sit down?!”
  669. >”What are you getting so worked up about?” She pouts.
  670. >Oh, this was rich.
  671. >You were pretty sure she was way below the age of consent. Hell, you had no idea when a filly became a mare.
  672. >Why the hell were you thinking about this?!
  673. “It’s just weird for us to be in a place like this together.”
  674. >Hope sits down in the steamy water. “Mother and I bathe like this all the time. So you don’t have anything I haven’t seen.”
  675. >Was she serious?
  676. >You turn around to see Hope sitting down, thankfully the rich lather of soap on the water’s surface prevents you from seeing any further below.
  677. >Odd for such a young person to not have any guilt or shame regarding nudity. Then again, most ponies don’t wear clothes.
  678. “I’m pretty sure you haven’t seen any male junk, so don’t go bragging about stuff you don’t know.”
  679. >Her cheeks glow red as she frowns. “Yeah? Well... I can still beat you in a fight!” She stands up defiantly. Her skin glistens from the wetness but thankfully soap clings to her chest.
  680. “Just sit down already. You have nothing to prove.”
  681. >She stood there for a moment waiting for you to do something.
  682. “I think we have more pressing matters at hand, don’t you think?”
  683. >Her expression softens and she sits back down. Hard to say what she was thinking about, how she went mental earlier or how she was going to confront her mother.
  684. “That was a hell of a kick you gave me earlier today.”
  685. >You sat up in the tub to show her the fruits of her labour. A large bruise in the middle of your chest.
  686. >She clasps her hands to her mouth. “Did I do that?”
  687. “Yeah, back at Twilight’s place before you stormed off. By the way, what happened after that, aside from you attacking Fluttershy?”
  688. >Hope looks down into the bath water. “I had to.... I just had to think. But all I could think about was what Fluttershy did to my father. If it wasn’t for her, then my dad might still be alive.”
  689. “Like I said, nobody is to blame. All we can do now is worry about helping Fluttershy and dealing with your mother. I’m sure we’ll figure something out. By the way, is Lyra expecting you to be back with me by a certain time?”
  690. >Hope looks up to the ceiling and jostles her head back and forth as if counting. “Um... less than... 2 weeks.”
  691. >Jesus Christ...
  692. >Not only did you have to reform a mentally unstable pegasus, but you had under two weeks to do so.
  693. “Thought we had more time.”
  694. >You reply with a grimace. Just how the hell were you going to help Fluttershy? You had a good idea, but it involved a lot of swearing and yelling.
  695. >Absent-mindedly, you grab a washcloth and a bar of soap and build a later before scrubbing your pits. Your thoughts were still on how to help Fluttershy and deal with Lyra.
  696. >”Want me to wash your back?”
  697. >Your train of thought is broken.
  698. “What’s that?”
  699. >”I can wash your back for you. Mother would ask me to do it for her.”
  700. >You glance around the hot tub, but you couldn’t find any scrub brush you could use for yourself.
  701. >Nothing wrong with getting your back washed by a young satyr teen, right?
  702. >Begrudgingly, you turn around with a groan in your throat. She splashes through the water and sits right up close behind you.
  703. >You feel a wet cloth slap against your skin as she begins to rub it around in circles on your back.
  704. >It felt nice.
  705. >Almost therapeutic; like a massage. She cups a handful of bathwater and pours it over your back, rinsing away the lather.
  706. “Thanks, that was thoughtful of you.”
  707. >”Now do me!”
  708. “Excuse me?”
  709. >She turns around. “Now wash my back!”
  710. >Something inside you was excited but also extremely nervous.
  711. >You mentally slap yourself. Leave the kid alone. As far as you were concerned, she could turn any second.
  712. >Grabbing a cloth and the soap, you lather up and begin to scrub her back. “That feels nice... Never felt hands on my back until now. I can see why my mom says humans are amazing.”
  713. “Trust me, humans ain’t special.”
  714. >Hope doesn’t even try a rebuttal of any sort. “Anon?”
  715. “Yeah?”
  716. >She begins to giggle. “This is going to sound weird but, ever since I saw that photo of my dad...”
  717. >You had a good idea where this was heading.
  718. >”You kind of remind me of him.”
  719. “I’m sure he was a much nicer person than I am.”
  720. >Hope turns around. “That’s not true. In the forest you saved me from those timber wolves.”
  721. “Okay, I get it.”
  722. >But she didn’t want to stop there. “You didn’t take my weapons away and you treated my injuries. You sometimes say funny things and it makes me... happy. I never felt that way with my mother.”
  723. >You rinse her back off with some hot bathwater. “With her it was always serious. If I injured myself, I only had myself to blame. But ever since I came here and I met you, despite what’s happened, I’ve had fun.”
  724. “Glad to hear it.”
  725. >Your tone was monotonic. Not that you didn’t care, but the last thing you want is for this kid to grow too attached to you.
  726. >You take more bathwater and pour it over her head. “Hey!” She sputters.
  727. >A grin takes over your expression as you chuckle.
  728. “I gotta wash your hair too, now hold still.”
  729. >”No!” She squeals in delight and dodges you, promptly splashing you in the face.
  730. >The next several minutes were spent trying to get each other’s head wet, but by the end of it both of you were tuckered out and washed each other’s hair.
  731. “Just so you know, I won because I technically got your head wet first.”
  732. >”As if! You cheated!” She protests with a laugh.
  733. “Alright, just hop out and put on a towel. I’ll look away.”
  734. >Hope climbs over the edge of the hot tub, but your eyes preemptively take a gander and you catch a glimpse of her pony flank.
  735. >She wraps a towel around her body and embraces the warm soft towel on her skin. “This feels so nice...” She moans.
  736. >Grabbing a towel by the edge, you pull it around yourself just as you got out. No need to show her anything yet.
  737. >You might talk to her about the birds and the bees one day if you remember.
  738. >Next was shaving.
  739. >With the shave kit, you set about running some hot water with lather and applying it to your neck and face.
  740. >Out of the corner of your eye, you see Hope standing right next to you in amazement over this common ritual.
  741. >”So this is shaving?”
  742. “Yup.”
  743. >”... Does it hurt?”
  744. “Only if you do it on dry skin.”
  745. >Her brilliant amber eyes watch you closely as you pull the razor down your neck. She picks up the brush that you used to apply the foam and sniffs at it.
  746. > Hope looks up to you. “Can I try?”
  747. “I was wondering when you were going to shave off that beard of yours.”
  748. >She sticks her tongue out. “You know what I mean!” You couldn’t help but chuckle. She was adorable when she got flustered.
  749. >Handing her the razor, you carefully instruct her.
  750. “Just apply a bit of pressure and pull it down the length of my neck.”
  751. >You gently trace your finger down the side. Hope bites her lower lip as she begins the delicate task of shaving.
  752. >Slowly the blade is dragged down your neck; you can feel the razor do its job perfectly.
  753. >Hope pulls the blade away from your skin and observes the tip covered in foam and stubble. “Will I need to shave when I’m older?”
  754. “Depends.”
  755. >”Depends on what?”
  756. “On how hairy your face gets.”
  757. >You finish up shaving while Hope dries herself off. But as she is about to put on her clothes, you stop her.
  758. “Can’t have a bath and wear the same dirty clothing.”
  759. >You grab a housecoat that was neatly folded on a shelf nearby and toss it to her.
  760. “Put that on, we’ll get them to clean our stuff.”
  761. >On cue, the two spa ponies knock on the door. “Anon, are you doing alright in there with your friend?” You could hear them giggling before they enter.
  762. >These two must be touched in the head.
  763. “Yeah, do you have a place where we can wash our clothes? We don’t have any clean ones.”
  764. >”Oh, it’s not a problem Anon. We’ll get your clothes clean and fresh.” They both pick up your clothing, as well as Hope’s and hurry out the door.
  765. >Using an assortment of shaving balms and cologne, you dab yourself with some of the heavy smells and put on a housecoat.
  766. >The two of you continue to get yourselves ready and by then your clothes were returned to you in a clean state.
  767. >Standing behind a screen, you change into your fresh clothing. You feel like a million bucks.
  768. >Hope is all dressed up and ready to go as you finish up and head outside.
  769. >In the waiting room was Twilight and the others. AJ takes a gander at you. “Lookin’ mighty spiffy there, cowboy.”
  770. >Twilight approaches you. “Anon, maybe we can head back to the castle and discuss how we’re going to help Fluttershy.”
  771. >But you had other plans on your mind.
  772. >With Celestia being so gracious with your living expenses here, you finally had the thought of indulging yourself.
  773. “I was thinking of looking around for a bit, but I’ll be sure to join you guys later.”
  774. >Hope turns to you. “Am I coming with you?”
  775. “Better you stick with Twilight for now. They’ll show you more of Canterlot or you can talk about other stuff.”
  776. >Twilight raises a brow. “Just where do you think you’re going at a time like this?”
  777. “I just need some time to myself to think. I promise I’ll be back soon.”
  778. >Twilight stands there in a dumbfounded manner as you leave them to go about their business.
  779. >It didn’t take long until you found a place of refuge.
  780. >The one place where you could find inner peace, clarity and your own form of harmony.
  781. >Moments later, you’re slamming back another shot and asking for more.
  782. “Keep em comin’ bub.”
  783. >Days without alcohol. You promised yourself you would slow down, but it’s an itch that you have to keep on scratching.
  784. >Occasionally the other patrons of the bar will stop by and ask you questions. Being slightly buzzed put you in a good mood and you felt flattered that they paid attention to you.
  785. “Yeah, I’m not that old Anon, but he sounded like a terrific guy; saving your world and all that jazz. A round of drinks for everyone in his honour, my treat!”
  786. >The good number of ponies in the bar holler back their approval.
  787. >And by ‘my treat’ you obviously meant compliments of Celestia. You lean over to the barkeep and whisper in his ear.
  788. “By the way, put it on Celestia’s tab, I’m a guest here under her royal orders.”
  789. >The bartender rolls his eyes. “Very well, sir...” He walks off to serve the other customers.
  790. >You often lose track of time when you’re drinking and enjoying yourself.
  791. >No distractions. No unwanted thoughts.
  792. >Just before you were ready to hit the hard stuff, a pony sits next to you at the bar.
  793. >Lo and behold, it was the firecracker, blue unicorn magician herself. Trixie’s hat becomes enveloped with magic as it floats off her head and is placed on the counter.
  794. >”Trixie figured you’d be here.” Her gaze a foreboding cold one.
  795. “Did Twilight send you to find me?”
  796. >”No, Trixie came of her own volition. Perhaps we may have gotten off on the wrong hoof.”
  797. “What makes you say that?”
  798. >Trixie looks over her shoulders furtively. Her cheeks begin to tinge a rosy colour. “It’s just that maybe you could treat a lady to a drink?” She smiles sheepishly at you.
  799. >You order her a drink which she literally inhales. Trixie exhales with joy and licks her lips.
  800. “Didn’t take you for the drinking kind.”
  801. >She smirks. “Trixie is great in all manners. Also, I didn’t think you would stand up against Celestia like that. Not a bad trait in my book.” She winks at you.
  802. >So much for being humble. You continue to sip on a tall glass of beer. This stuff had a much more pleasant flavour than what you had back home.
  803. “Just keep ordering drinks. My treat.”
  804. >”Now that’s the kind of respect that Trixie deserves.”
  805. >Respect.
  806. >Deserve.
  807. >Those two words felt like a slap in the face.
  808. >That’s what your dad use to say. He paid the bills, so that earns him respect. Admiration that he didn’t have to earn, he would get it by throwing you into the wall and yelling at you and your sister.
  809. >You felt yourself being pushed into a corner, your father getting ready to beat your ass.
  810. >”Is something wrong?”
  811. >You snap out of it. Turning to Trixie, you realize the crack in the glass in your hand.
  812. >”You suddenly went statue on me there and your glass began to break.”
  813. >Chugging down the rest of the beer, you put the glass back on the bar and signal for another drink for both you and Trixie.
  814. “Yeah, just lost in thought.”
  815. >Trixie looks down at the ground, she was seemingly hesitant about something. But finally she spoke up.”Back in the forest, when we escaped those diamond dogs. You attacked that satyr and said something about your sister. What happened?”
  816. “Nothing. It was... just a mix up...”
  817. >You trail off, mumbling, while taking another drink.
  818. >”It’s not hard to see when somepony is not being forthright. The anger issues, the alcohol... you can’t hide behind smoke and mirrors anymore than Trixie can pretend to be a great magician.”
  819. >Shaking your head, you lean over the bar, grab the closest bottle of alcohol and take a quick swig.
  820. “Enough about me, tell me about yourself.”
  821. >You grab her empty glass, fill it and pass it back to her.
  822. >”Oh, well there isn’t a whole lot to a pony such as myself.” She begins to blush again. “Trixie travels from place to place to earn her fame with her spectacular magic. But Twilight has far more impressive skills than I could ever hope to achieve.”
  823. “At least you got us out of trouble with those diamond dogs. We wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you.”
  824. >She awkwardly smiles with a giggle. “Well, Trixie couldn’t let a human die like that. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity.” She consumes the potent beverage in one fell swoop.
  825. >”Twilight can have her magic, but the Great and Powerful Trixie will earn her fame yet.”
  826. “And what do you propose?”
  827. >The horn on her head glows and a bottle of strong cider floats into view. “Drinking contest?”
  828. “Not a good idea, you might overdo it.”
  829. >”Trixie won’t take no for an answer! If you win, then I’ll admit defeat.”
  830. >Hard to believe this little unicorn was brazen enough to challenge a creature bigger than herself to a drinking contest.
  831. >Then again, some of them might be able to handle alcohol differently than you can.
  832. “And if you win, then what?”
  833. >She wobbles back and forth with a cheesy smile. “How about a kiss?”
  834. >Yup, she’s drunk already.
  835. “You’re on.”
  836. >This should be an easy win.
  837. >At your request, the barkeep hands you two more bottles of the strongest stuff in the house and two shot glasses.
  838. >You pour the dark brown liquid into the shot glasses. You pick yours up and she grabs hers with magic.
  839. >Lightly clinking your glass, you begin the challenge.
  840. >One shot after another, the liquor passes down your throat. Trixie keeps up a good pace as well.
  841. >A small group gathers to observe the ensuing gauntlet challenge.
  842. >Your throat has become numb to the burning sensation after a few shots. Trixie keeps giggling like an idiot.
  843. >But an adorable idiot, nonetheless.
  844. >”The Great and *hic* Powerful Trixie will win for shure!” Her words begin to slur.
  845. >By the time your head starts to feel really heavy, you knew it meant you were at your limit but a few more should put Trixie down.
  846. >The final shots were poured. You wobble in your seat and your eyes feel like marbles in a bowl.
  847. >Just like back in the saloon, a crowd gathers to watch the two of you getting smashed.
  848. >You bring the shot glass to your lips and hold it there for a moment. You just want something else to replace this flavour in your mouth.
  849. >Tilting the glass, you pour the alcohol and it sits in your mouth. Your body shudders as you gulp it down.
  850. >Trixie, with that smirk on her face, pulls her glass up to her mouth. Just as she places it to her lips, she stops.
  851. >Her eyes go wide and she drops the shot glass.
  852. >Her head flings over to the side and Trixie begins to retch.
  853. >The crowd erupts into a mix of cheers, yelling and disgust.
  854. >Another victory, you grin to yourself.
  855. >Stumbling from your chair, you go over and gingerly pat Trixie on the back.
  856. “It’s alright, just let it out...”
  857. >The poor mare was almost unconscious. You carefully lead her back to the bar and order some water.
  858. >Trixies lays her head on the counter while you sit there sipping your water. She groans and moans from the nausea.
  859. “Told ya you’d overdo it.”
  860. >”Silence...” She whimpers at you.
  861. >You stay by her side for a while, or at least until the alcohol ran its course.
  862. >Time passed and it was starting to get late, but there was no sign of Twilight and the others. Good chance they probably went back to the castle.
  863. >Trixie was finally starting to come back to her senses. Rubbing her head, she looks around in a daze. “Did Trixie win?”
  864. “Not really.”
  865. >You glance back to the area where she blew chunks.
  866. “But you were pretty close.”
  867. >She pouts at the prospect of having to admit defeat. “I want a rematch.” She continues to wobble slightly in her seat.
  868. “If you don’t win, better to do it gracefully.”
  869. >Her face becomes flush. Squeezing her face shut, she sighs that she’ll have to swallow her own words. “Trixie admits defeat...”
  870. >You look her in the eyes. They start to become moist as a sour look grows on her face.
  871. >Such an ambitious pony and even cuter when she tries so hard.
  872. “That’s not good enough. Since I won, I think it’s only fair that I choose my prize.”
  873. >The ears on her head go flat. “Is it not humiliating enough that I embarrassed myself in front of everypony?”
  874. “Just close your eyes.”
  875. >She scowls slightly before squeezing her eyes shut and her voice whimpers. “Fine, but don’t expect the Great and Powerful Trixie to forgi-“
  876. >You lean in towards her and plant a kiss on her lips.
  877. >Her eyes open wide, but her expression quickly softens as her cheeks take on that familiar red hue.
  878. >Her mouth opens slightly and you feel her tongue against yours. You could hear Trixie moaning softly.
  879. >Slowly you pull away, but you could tell Trixie was still caught in that moment of bliss.
  880. >Trixie realizes what just happened and her gaze darts around, scared that everyone was looking. “Y-you idiot! You were only suppose to kiss me if I won!”
  881. >You reach to her head and move a part of her mane away from her face.
  882. “What if I just wanted a kiss?”
  883. >The red on her face intensifies as she breaks down into a nervous laugh. “I-I was worried that you wouldn’t... um... Oh how do I say this without looking stupid?” She continues to banter on.
  884. >”Should have never thought someone like you could ever li-“
  885. >You put a finger up to her lips, she looks up to you as her words trail off.
  886. “You talk too much.”
  887. >Her sparkling eyes light up as she gazes upon your face. Trixie was becoming more flustered.
  888. >You lean in and whisper in her ear.
  889. “Show me what the Great and Powerful Trixie can do...”
  890. >You get off your seat and head upstairs. This place wasn’t just a bar; it was also a motel.
  891. >The next thing you know, the door flings open, and you stumble backwards into the cheap motel room with Trixie in your arms.
  892. >Your lips lock with Trixie's in heated, drunken passion.
  893. >Her hooves drape around your shoulders while you hold her close.
  894. >The back of your legs reach the bed and you fall backwards with a soft thump.
  895. >Trixie pulls away for a moment and licks her lips, enjoying the lingering after-taste of the alcohol you had this evening.
  896. >In those violet eyes, you can see her lust.
  897. >"Pants off. Now."
  898. >You reach down, sliding your hands between your chest and her belly, and reach your pants button.
  899. >It took a bit of fumbling, but you manage to unbutton and unzip your pants.
  900. >You hurry to get them off, but Trixie is one step ahead of you.
  901. >Her horn shimmers with a pink aura.
  902. >Your pants and underwear slide off your body with little resistance.
  903. >Trixie yips in surprise, feeling a thick and hard object hitting her derrière.
  904. >Her lips curl into a seductive smirk.
  905. >"Now, let Trixie show you some...tricks."
  906. >You watch as her backside shimmies a bit.
  907. >Her blue, furry coat brushes against your sensitive cock head.
  908. >You try to keep your composure by biting your lower lip.
  909. >Trixie giggles at your lame attempts of staying cool.
  910. >"What's wrong, Anon? Is Trixie too much of a mare for you to handle?"
  911. >She shifts her weight just a bit, and your throbbing manhood manages to slide between her haunches.
  912. >Something hot and moist grinds against your length.
  913. >You know what it is. You're no fool, despite being so drunk.
  914. "Damn...you're more than ready."
  915. >You hiss, not wanting to relinquish control so easily.
  916. "Let’s just get to the fun part."
  917. >When your hands reach up for her hips, a tingling sensation wraps around your wrists.
  918. >"Tut tut..."
  919. Your hands fly to either side of your body.
  920. >Trixie presses her soft lips against yours once again.
  921. >She moans, still getting herself off by rubbing her drooling slit against your erect member.
  922. >Not wanting to look a gift horse in the mouth, you just roll with it.
  923. >Trixie releases her hold on your wrists.
  924. >You will make her rue the day she held down Anonymous like some wild animal.
  925. >Your hands grab hold of her rear, each cheek receiving a nice slap.
  926. >The Promiscuous and Horny Trixie breaks the kiss.
  927. >A loud whinny echoes throughout the room, going out into the equestrian night air.
  928. >"Bad boy. Trixie was going to give you a treat. But I guess a little punishment is in order."
  929. >Her horn shimmers once more and you find your whole body unable to move an inch.
  930. >Trixie stands on the bed and makes a 180 so that you are staring at each other's genitals.
  931. >"Not bad. The perfect size for one as great as Trixie."
  932. >She lies on top of you, her horse pussy mere inches away.
  933. >Her womanly scent wafts towards your nose with the help of her tail.
  934. >"Make me feel good, and I'll return the favor."
  935. >Her magic releases its hold on you.
  936. >She giggles, prodding your cock with a gentle hoof.
  937. >It twitches as if begging for more.
  938. >"Well then, get to it."
  939. >You just want to cum, so for now you'll play her little game.
  940. >Your hands move to grab her butt.
  941. >Each cheek was nothing but lean muscle, but pliable enough to feel soft to the touch.
  942. >With your dexterous tongue, you give her lovely folds a gentle lick.
  943. >She tastes divine.
  944. >You want more.
  945. >So you dig in, eating that pussy like your life depended on it.
  946. >Trixie's body quakes in your grasp.
  947. >Her left hind hoof twitches underneath her.
  948. >You can tell that she wants more, even if her pride tries to hide it.
  949. "Eager aren't we?"
  950. >Trixie huffs and puffs some air at your tip, which leaks a tiny bit of precum.
  951. >She licks it up, humming in satisfaction.
  952. >Her mouth wraps around the tip and suckles on the head of your cock.
  953. >You hear her magic activating once again.
  954. >Instead of pinning you down, you feel the tingling sensation concentrate in one spot.
  955. >It feels like thousands of tiny hands are stroking your dick at the same time.
  956. >’Incredible’ is not enough to describe how it feels.
  957. >You feel like you could lose it.
  958. >But you have a job to do.
  959. >So you soldier on, giving this magician the best pussy eating you can muster.
  960. >She works just as hard.
  961. >Her head sinks lower, taking the entirety of your cock.
  962. >She shows how great her mouth can be.
  963. >How her tongue slides and wraps around your member with finesse.
  964. >Her lips close tightly around your girth.
  965. >It feels tighter than a virgin pussy.
  966. >Not to mention her magic is still working on you.
  967. >You lost track of how long you were going at this.
  968. >Trixie abruptly stands up and turns to face you.
  969. >Her lips curl into a smirk when she sees how wet your face is from her mare juice.
  970. >"I think we're both ready for the final act."
  971. >She lowers herself onto your painfully swollen rod.
  972. >You gasp as her tight walls clamp around your girth.
  973. >It's so wet... So warm.
  974. >You are on a hair-trigger, but with Trixie's magic constricting the base of your erection, release wasn't going to happen any time soon.
  975. >When you finally hilt inside her, Trixie places her hooves on your chest.
  976. "Oh God!"
  977. >"Yes! Yes! Yes! So thick! I can't wait to feel you let it loose!"
  978. >Trixie's rump slams against your groin over and over again.
  979. >She holds you down with magic, just like before.
  980. >Her tongue lolls out the side of her open maw while her eyes cross.
  981. >She’s in bliss, unlike you.
  982. >You've been denied release for over 10 minutes.
  983. >Trixie, however, came so many times, you lost count.
  984. >"Yes! Oh Celestia! I'm cumming!"
  985. >Her horn flares in intensity.
  986. >A spark of pink light shoots out.
  987. >Meanwhile, her soaked cunt grips against your cock as she rides out her orgasm.
  988. >Her magic wanes, and this is your chance.
  989. >You scoop Trixie in your arms and pin her down onto her back.
  990. >"W-What are you-? This was your punishment."
  991. >She tries to summon some magic to restrain you, but being utterly exhausted makes that endeavor difficult.
  992. >You lean close to her ear, snarling like an untamed beast ready to devour his next meal.
  993. "Getting the release I craved for so long."
  994. >You hammer your thick cock home.
  995. >They were sloppy thrusts, sometimes hilting, and other times only going part of the way.
  996. >In any case, it still had the desired effect.
  997. >Trixie cries out once more and hits her climax again.
  998. >Her cool, haughty voice is thrown away for one of a wanton woman in the throes of pleasure.
  999. >Her tight pussy milks your cock for the cream it rightfully deserves.
1000. >This time, with no magic holding you back, your let out a loud groan.
1001. >It harmonizes with Trixie's cries of bliss.
1002. >Your painfully swollen cock throbs a few times before releasing its payload into her pony womb.
1003. >Thick gouts of your semen spill forth, filling Trixie to the brim until you feel something wet spill out onto your groin.
1004. >Trixie's hooves wrap around you, trying to keep you close until you finish your powerful climax.
1005. >Exhausted, you fall to your side, slipping out of the clearly ravished mare.
1006. >With the last bit of strength, you pull her close to you, cuddling the fluffy pony in your arms. The both of you drift off to sleep in the warm afterglow.
1007. >Morning came too soon as the light shines through an open window and onto your face.
1008. >Your head was pounding slightly as you groan and stretch in the somewhat small bed.
  1009. >Something was missing.
1010. >You feel around under the covers, but Trixie wasn’t there. Turning around, you inspect the room.
  1011. >She was gone.
  1012. “Trixie?”
  1013. >No response.
1014. >Your feet make contact with the cold floorboards and you walk over to the bathroom.
  1015. >Not in here either.
1016. >Your eye catches something. On the desk by the lamp there was a note. You pick up the letter and begin to read.
1017. >Dear Anon, by the time you read this note I will have left Canterlot. I wish I could stay by your side, but my life is out there to make my fortune. I’ll never forget how we met and what you mean to me, even if it was only for a short time. I hope one day we will meet again, even though you are planning to return home. Please be safe when you go to retrieve the Orb, I couldn’t bear the thought if something were to happen to you. Please tell Twilight I hope to see her again soon.
  1018. >Love, Trixie
1019. >P.S. You snore like an Ursa Major.
1020. >Marked on the bottom was a small kiss. The letter even smelled like her.
1021. >You stood there dumbfounded, and a feeling of rejection washes over you. Usually you were the first to leave after a one night stand.
1022. >To be young with thoughts of being together.
1023. >Trixie was different than what you remember from the show. It goes to show how multi-faceted some of these characters can be.
1024. >It was silly to think she would want to stick around with you. For all you know, it’s still taboo for a pony to be with a human.
1025. >Getting dressed, you head outside without bothering to get anything to eat or drink.
1026. >The streets of Canterlot were alive as you make your way to the castle.
1027. >The guards grant you easy access with no trouble. “Princess Celestia and Twilight are waiting for you in the courtyard.”
1028. >Walking down a small garden path, you could see many statues.
1029. >But one caught your eye. You had to stop to confirm that you eyes weren’t deceiving you.
1030. >There stood a monument of Pinkie Pie; the Element of Laughter.
1031. >The birds in the garden chirp their little songs as you approach the grave. Everything felt so surreal.
1032. >Pinkie never deserved this. No one did.
1033. >You remember what Twilight said. It wasn’t just one life that was taken that day.
1034. >Your eyes trace down and finally fall onto a small grave standing next to Pinkie’s.
1035. >Walking over to it, you feel your heart sink knowing that an unborn had its life cut short.
1036. >On the front was a quote: “How very quietly you tiptoed into our world, silently, only a moment you stayed. But what an imprint you have left upon our hearts.”
1037. >You clasp a hand onto your mouth. You breathe deeply as you feel your body shudder.
1038. >Stepping back slowly, you look up at the statue as the sun filters behind it.
1039. >A soft breeze blows through the trees. You feel as though something was with you.
1040. >With much haste, you turn and continue on your way to the castle. Twilight and the others are probably angry that you didn’t keep your word.
1041. >A guard catches you and guides you to where Twilight and the others were waiting.
1042. >Princess Celestia, Luna, Twilight and the others stood in a courtyard talking. Hope spots you and runs up to you in a mad dash. “Anon, you wouldn’t believe the fun we had last night! We-“
  1043. >You interrupt her.
1044. “Yeah, tell me on the way back home, kiddo.”
1045. >You quickly approach Twilight who was fuming, most likely because of your tardiness. “Hey Twi. Sorry about last night. I got caught up.”
1046. >”With what?” She raises a brow, her tone impatient.
1047. “Personal stuff. Are we ready to go now?”
1048. >”Just about, but I haven’t seen Trixie since last night. Did you see her Anon?”
1049. >Your mind flashes back to both you and Trixie having a long heated session of some of the best interspecies sex you’ll ever have. The taste, images and smells are still fresh in your mind.
1050. >You pull out the note Trixie left for you.
1051. “Yeah, she had to leave, but she hopes to see you soon.”
1052. >The note in your hand is pulled away by an invisible force. Twilight inspects the note carefully, as if you were hiding a vital clue.
1053. >Her eyes widen and her nose twitches. She moves a little closer to you and sniffs the air around you.
1054. >She whispers. “Anon, did you and Trixie.... do anything?”
1055. >The others look on with interest as to how you’ll respond. You merely smile sheepishly and shrug your shoulders.
1056. >Twilight slaps her face with a hoof and jams the paper note back in your face. “Let’s just go already...” She marches off towards the waiting chariots.
1057. >AppleJack walks past you, but looking over her shoulder at you, she bats an eye. “Way ta go, lover boy.” She chuckles.
1058. >Princess Celestia grabs your attention. “Anon, may I speak with you in private for a moment?”
1059. >While Twilight and the others wait by the chariots, you go to meet with the royal alicorn sisters. “Anon, we have faith that you and the others will show her the way. But if Fluttershy tries to do anything, you must let us know right away.”
1060. “I’ll worry about that, you just worry about finding someone to replace Pinkie.”
1061. >She nods her head. “Then good luck, Anon.” Princess Luna does not speak but nods in silence as well, her expression still firm as always.
1062. >”Come on, let’s go already! I can’t wait for you slowpokes to get moving.” Rainbow Dash cries out impatiently.
1063. >You wave goodbye to the two royal sisters and join Hope in one of the many chariots waiting.
1064. >Fluttershy had her own ride for the trip back. You had a feeling no one was willing to sit next to her. With a sudden lift, the pegasus guard pull and you’re off into the sky.
1065. >You look back at Canterlot, wondering how far away Trixie is by now.
1066. >You had a task. Not for yourself, but for Fluttershy and all of Equestria.
1067. >The sooner you had the elements of harmony back together, the better your chances of retrieving the Orb will be.
1068. >But these next two weeks were going to either make or break your chances of getting back home.
1069. >However, you knew that you would be seeing Lyra eventually.
1070. >And when that time comes, you’ll be ready.
1071. >And Lyra better be as well.
