Morning

So, long time no log...

After the Lucy incident, I just haven't been feeling myself. Took a couple of days just to get back to not being a soulless automaton husk. Think I'm finally starting to come back, now, though.

So, yeah. Quick went away, for some stupid reason, and Luce organized a rescue operation. Thanks for giving me some heads up, on that one, btw... Always feels great finding out that a good friend has gone missing AFTER an other good friend has fallen to her possible death trying to save her with the original good friend and a third good friend still  being in the dangerous locale where she fell...

Yeah, well... came back from a social soirée at Penny's to find out that not only was Quick and Rain still gone, Lucy is possibly dead and Chere's done some big speech to rouse the whole town to a rescue mission...

So I work through the night trying to get a crossbow design to work without springs and iron banding, leave them at the inn at morning and go back to try to figure out how to make a suit of armour from my Umberhulk plates. Come back later to find that Rain and Quick have come back (finally, damn stupid stubborn mares...) and there's a big mass-production of bolts and spears to arm the town, unfortunately only one crossbow got finished, and it was completely useless... Guess I missed something in the plans, I -was- sort of distracted, after all.

Took care of Quick and Rain for a bit, trying to get them to not go on the rescue mission (failing, obviously) and promised Kai to look after them during the mission.

Which I couldn't, of course, cause Chere'd already organized the groups, and I wan't in theirs.

 

So, yeah, at least everyone got out OK. Well, mostly OK... We're still seeing fallout from it.

 

One of the things that came from it was that people are starting to question the validity of the Council, so I'm organizing an official Meeting later today. Hopefully that'll make us able to function to satisfactory levels, and if not... I don't even know...
