>you’ve had Fluffyshy for a few months now
>she trusts you with the world
>you’re always there for her whenever she gets a “boo-boo”, or just needs some hugs
>you decide to play a little prank on her
>you figure that it won’t do much harm
>it’s just something you picked up back when you had a housecat
>if you put a koosh ball next to them, they’ll be afraid of it and not want to touch it
>you tried it with a dog, too
>same result
>so you head to the dollar store and pick up as many of them as you can
>after you tuck Fluffyshy in that night, you sneak back into her safe room and attach the koosh balls to the ceiling
>you sneak back out and fall asleep
>when you wake up in the morning, you head straight for her room
>the balls are still attached to the roof
>perfect
>”Hey, Fluffyshy.”
>you give her a little shake, and she gives an annoyed whine
>”Daddy has a special present for you.”
>”Spechul pwesant?”
>she sits up, still half-asleep
>”Yeah. Check it out.”
>you cut down one of the koosh balls and watch it plop down next to her
>she shrieks and leaps out of her bed
>”S-sc-scawy m-mu-m-munster wan hewt Fwuffyshy! Hewp, daddeh!”
>you cut down all of the balls, one by one
>each one lets out a stream of terrified yelps
>on the last one, she curls up into herself and doesn’t move
>”Wasn’t that a great prank, Fluffyshy?”
>nothing, not even crying
>”Fluffyshy?”
>you walk up to her
>she’s rigid and not breathing
>”Oh, no…”
>you lean a bit closer
>and then she jumps up
>”Boo! Scawed oou, daddeh!”
>you laugh
>”Yeah, you got me good, didn’t you?”
>she nods
>”Bawws no scawy! Bawws fun!”
>as if to demonstrate, she leaps onto the balls and rolls them arounds, laughing happily
>Fluffyshy is better at pranking than you are
